My daughter is currently attending CALO in Lake Ozark. First of all, the setting is absolutely beautiful. Most of the staff are truly amazing—caring, supportive, and dedicated to the students’ growth. As with any program, there are always a few individuals who could work a little harder, smarter, or with more kindness, but overall, the staff makes a huge difference.
My daughter has made tremendous progress in some areas, while growth in others has been slower—but this is expected in such a complex journey. The therapists working with both students and families have been instrumental in helping us uncover and heal from past trauma. The parent retreats that the therapists run are wonderful and have helped us grow closer.
One of the most unique and impactful aspects of CALO is the canine therapy program. Each girl has the opportunity to work with a Golden Retriever, and these dogs have proven to be a tremendous source of comfort and healing. They provide steady, nonjudgmental support and play a crucial role in helping with attachment challenges and anxiety.
Unfortunately, the director for the teen girls has been the opposite of supportive. She has been consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful when it comes to assisting us and other parents in finding resources for life after CALO. This lack of professionalism and unwillingness to guide families through discharge planning directly undermines the progress the students make while in treatment. For a program that emphasizes lifelong healing, the director’s attitude is both shocking and disappointing, and it leaves parents feeling abandoned at one of the most critical stages of their child’s recovery.
While we are grateful for the opportunities and healing that CALO has provided, families deserve leadership that is just as committed to the success of students after discharge as it is to their progress during treatment.

I was at the ER yesterday & saw a Dr. King who I had seen before in January & he is the best doctor there. He is very thorough in what he does & check you out completely. I had a fractured collar bone & was having a lot of pain is why I went. Of course, he found that I had an UTI, plus he did an EKG., a breathing test & an ultrasound of my chest to see about what was causing all my pain. I was only there about 3hrs & felt like I got a complete physical exam. I highly recommend SSM

My visit to the pain management clinic at SSM Health was the same as always, it was SUPER! It's always wonderful, all the people there are always so nice to you, that's not my the case everywhere. All the doctors and nurses are always great and so nice to you, also, I have to admit , I Joanna Smith is my favorite person. She is sooo nice and positive to me and she always has an answer to my questions and for whatever problems I'm dealing with at any given time. I've been to a lot of doctors, and dealt with a lot of doctors, nurses and office workers in my life and you don't find the kind of joyful, caring and good hearted people that you do find at SSM Healthcares pain management clinic very often! They are truly a special group of people! I'm so thankful that I was lucky enough, actually BLESSED to find them when I needed them!

Compass Health is legit. They did not press me to get sober. They guided me into it. They used the teqniue of harm reduction. Seems weird and backwards. I give Derrick the assessor 5.0, but after the assessment we were told my son would be contacted within 24 hrs. 24 hours no contact, next day no contact. I've gone in office to inquire, told case worker would call. 2 additional phone calls...still no help. My son was so encouraged during accessment. Now I have to tell him no one there cares!! Btw...also left voice mail on case worker's phone...still nothing.

Working at Perimeter Behavioral Health has been an incredibly rewarding experience. While it's true that the nature of our work often calls for overtime, the feeling of looking at my check and knowing the impact I'm making makes every extra hour absolutely worth it.
The company has implemented many positive changes, especially when it comes to bonus incentives, which are a true motivator and show that our hard work is genuinely appreciated. The relationships among staff here are fantastic; we truly operate as a cohesive team, supporting each other and fostering a collaborative environment.
One of the things I love most is that every day is different. This keeps the work engaging and ensures we're constantly learning and adapting. Awesome Ministry, folks claiming it’s a cult need to use a dictionary, some common sense, and quit making reviews based off hearsay or biased/uneducated opinions. Nobody has to ask for money in a “parking lot” as one has claimed on here. Residents who are provided FREE boarding, food, utilities, transportation, love, support, ministry, and pastoral counseling are asked to commit to fundraising 2 days a week in front of approved storefront fundraisers…just like Salvation Army. The whole program is FAITH-based non-medical approach which is extensively told during intake/interview process. All residents are free to leave at anytime…even the court-ordered residents. The whole program is a voluntary commitment. I’ve seen hundreds set free from addiction over the span of 12 years. It’s not perfect and it’s not for everyone, that doesn’t make it a cult or a bad program. I’d like to see one person who has led a negative review give firsthand evidence or try to make such a grand effort themselves. It’s ridiculous. Over half of the accusations are so unfounded it isn’t funny. And the other ones are made from folks who got offended or actually didn’t want to change and want to blame shift in order to justify their lifestyle, wake up folks.

What Pathways did for me was completely amazing, they showed me the path to sobriety and to be honest I don't know where would I be if it wasn't for them. They were very patient and gave me the tools I needed to be able to recover.

I went into office again today and Kim took great care of us. Found out case worker had been on vacation. New Peer worker called immediately and made arrangements. Thank you. It is encouraging now.
I give Derrick the assessor 5.0, but after the assessment we were told my son would be contacted within 24 hrs. 24 hours no contact, next day no contact. I've gone in office to inquire, told case worker would call. 2 additional phone calls...still no help. My son was so encouraged during accessment. Now I have to tell him no one there cares!! Btw...also left voice mail on case worker's phone...still nothing.

I was a patient at their clinic in Jefferson City, MO, located at 227 Metro Drive for one year. During that time, I was seeing a psychiatrist, a therapist, a nurse, and 2 Peer Support Specialists. I was always treated very well. I just loved my care team.

Friendly staff who actually returned my call and promptly were able to get me scheduled. I ended up not needing their services and when I called to cancel they were even more polite than before. I had called to approximately four other businesses that claimed to provide the same service, only one other place answered their phone with no appointments available for three weeks. Another place did finally call me back days later however. I would definitely recommend checking these guys out first and save yourself a goose chase. Thanks again!
