Working at Perimeter Behavioral Health has been an incredibly rewarding experience. While it's true that the nature of our work often calls for overtime, the feeling of looking at my check and knowing the impact I'm making makes every extra hour absolutely worth it.
The company has implemented many positive changes, especially when it comes to bonus incentives, which are a true motivator and show that our hard work is genuinely appreciated. The relationships among staff here are fantastic; we truly operate as a cohesive team, supporting each other and fostering a collaborative environment.
One of the things I love most is that every day is different. This keeps the work engaging and ensures we're constantly learning and adapting. I was admittedly very nervous to go to a new office for my mental health care after Compass Health took over Phelps Health. However, I have never had better mental healthcare. I am so pleased. The first psychiatric NP they set me up with was a very bad match, but I was able to be switched to a new one, which I really appreciated. The new psychiatric NP I got was just amazing. My CSS (Community Support Specialist) is really helpful in my mental health journey. Every CSS I've met is caring, kind, and I feel like they genuinely care about my mental health and well-being. I recommend Compass Health as they have been instrumental in my life and mental health, as well as helping me grow as a person.

My daughter is currently attending CALO in Lake Ozark. First of all, the setting is absolutely beautiful. Most of the staff are truly amazing—caring, supportive, and dedicated to the students’ growth. As with any program, there are always a few individuals who could work a little harder, smarter, or with more kindness, but overall, the staff makes a huge difference.
My daughter has made tremendous progress in some areas, while growth in others has been slower—but this is expected in such a complex journey. The therapists working with both students and families have been instrumental in helping us uncover and heal from past trauma. The parent retreats that the therapists run are wonderful and have helped us grow closer.
One of the most unique and impactful aspects of CALO is the canine therapy program. Each girl has the opportunity to work with a Golden Retriever, and these dogs have proven to be a tremendous source of comfort and healing. They provide steady, nonjudgmental support and play a crucial role in helping with attachment challenges and anxiety.
Unfortunately, the director for the teen girls has been the opposite of supportive. She has been consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful when it comes to assisting us and other parents in finding resources for life after CALO. This lack of professionalism and unwillingness to guide families through discharge planning directly undermines the progress the students make while in treatment. For a program that emphasizes lifelong healing, the director’s attitude is both shocking and disappointing, and it leaves parents feeling abandoned at one of the most critical stages of their child’s recovery.
While we are grateful for the opportunities and healing that CALO has provided, families deserve leadership that is just as committed to the success of students after discharge as it is to their progress during treatment.

The place is great, but a few if the check in clerks could use a different position that doesn't deal directly with the patients. Rudeness and a cold attitude is not warranted towards any veteran. On the old hand, 95% of the staff are amazing human beings and value their patients. They are kind, respectful, cordial and patient towards their patients.

Awesome Ministry, folks claiming it’s a cult need to use a dictionary, some common sense, and quit making reviews based off hearsay or biased/uneducated opinions. Nobody has to ask for money in a “parking lot” as one has claimed on here. Residents who are provided FREE boarding, food, utilities, transportation, love, support, ministry, and pastoral counseling are asked to commit to fundraising 2 days a week in front of approved storefront fundraisers…just like Salvation Army. The whole program is FAITH-based non-medical approach which is extensively told during intake/interview process. All residents are free to leave at anytime…even the court-ordered residents. The whole program is a voluntary commitment. I’ve seen hundreds set free from addiction over the span of 12 years. It’s not perfect and it’s not for everyone, that doesn’t make it a cult or a bad program. I’d like to see one person who has led a negative review give firsthand evidence or try to make such a grand effort themselves. It’s ridiculous. Over half of the accusations are so unfounded it isn’t funny. And the other ones are made from folks who got offended or actually didn’t want to change and want to blame shift in order to justify their lifestyle, wake up folks.

I went into office again today and Kim took great care of us. Found out case worker had been on vacation. New Peer worker called immediately and made arrangements. Thank you. It is encouraging now.
I give Derrick the assessor 5.0, but after the assessment we were told my son would be contacted within 24 hrs. 24 hours no contact, next day no contact. I've gone in office to inquire, told case worker would call. 2 additional phone calls...still no help. My son was so encouraged during accessment. Now I have to tell him no one there cares!! Btw...also left voice mail on case worker's phone...still nothing.

Just wanted to comment on the staff. I spoke with Julie in administration about a problem that I had and honestly I had no idea where to even begin. She took the time to be compassionate and understanding, even though her office just happened to be the first one that I knocked on. Thank you Julie for being a wonderful person and help steer me in the right direction.

With a nice environment and I would highly recommend anybody that needs help to go to Phoenix, Program they offer a treatment that’s unlike others because they’re very compassionate and most of the workers have addiction almost all of them either are addicts or alcoholics or their spouses or their family which helps the classes relate more to us and what we’re going through thank you to the Phoenix program for saving my life

Phoenix is an exceptional treatment center for those ready for change. Committed clients receive unmatched support from a dedicated staff who prepare them to rejoin society effectively. Though there might be a wait for a bed date, the program’s benefits are worth it. Highly recommended for anyone struggling with addiction.

The Lakeland staff was incredibly friendly, answered all of my questions(some, numerous times), and made me feel much better in a situation which made me absolutely miserable.
I cannot emphasize enough how their patience and politeness made such a situation even remotely bearable.
Both the psychologist and psychiatrist were patient, and they made me feel like at least someone understood.
Even the guy who delivered the food for my restricted diet was very friendly. Lakeland did everything it could to satisfy my needs.
I had a list of names to give a shout out to the members of the staff, but I misplaced it. I will post them as soon as I find it.

I've never had a problem with them. The pharmacist is a very caring man who stops what he is doing, even lunch, to assist me. The nurses have always answered my questions. The transition center though needs lots of improvement. But the Bradford one is fantastic

Idk why there are so many bad reviews...my psychiatrist, Dr. Hennigh, is amazing and my case worker, Caleesa, is also amazing. I've been with Burrell for a little over a year and never had a single issue. Thank you Burrell for helping me get my peace of mind!
