We delivered our baby here and felt surrounded by compassionate, professional and genuine medical staff the entire time. Our baby had a few complications so we were admitted for several days and everyone we encountered was patient and answered our many questions with empathy and professionalism-and trust me I had so many questions as my baby was being treated. Every shift we would meet a new nurse for me and another for our baby. They were all wonderful, I truly can’t say enough nice things about our experience. This includes the kitchen and janitorial team who were also kind and genuine. The facility was clean with convenient amenities. God bless this group of dedicated men and women for making a difference ❤️

My mother suffered a bad fall at her home on August 25, 2025. She was taken by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO. At Capital Region, she was checked into a room where she received the immediate care she needed from the hospital staff. After a thorough examination and tests, the doctors discovered a tumor the size of a tennis ball and found she was suffering from esophageal cancer. Before arriving at the Medical Center, she had lost a lot of blood, and her already frail and weakened body was unable to maintain and sustain her vital bodily functions. As family members arrived to see her, we experienced the expertise and compassionate nature of the Capital Region staff. In a word, they were AMAZING and greatly helped my mother and all of us who came to see her. They explained everything and prepared us for the unescapable reality that my mother did not have enough strength to overcome the amount of blood and the severity of the cancer that was infecting her body. With the help of the Capital Region staff, we understood what was happening and waited beside her as she slowly and peacefully passed away in her sleep. I cannot say enough about the staff. Their professionalism and compassion were a blessing to us. Nurse Penne and all of the other staff members we encountered were incredible. To think that this is what they do everyday is mind-boggling. They were so sincere, so genuine with us, and with my mother. On behalf of our family, THANK YOU for helping us through this difficult time.

I am writing this review to express my profound gratitude for the care my 18-year-old autistic son received at Capital Region Medical Center Outpatient Surgery. Because he is low-functioning, my son requires sedation for procedures like bloodwork, and it is often a stressful experience. The team that worked with him—Dr. Blythe Harris, Marc Miller RN, Teresa B. RN, and Mark B. RN—was simply exceptional. They approached his care with a perfect balance of empathy, professionalism, and genuine heart. They recognized his struggle with being infantilized and treated him with the dignity and respect of an adult. They spoke directly to him, listened to his concerns, and helped him to self-advocate throughout the entire process. This level of individualized and compassionate care made a world of difference. I would not hesitate to recommend this team and facility to any family in a similar situation. A perfect 10/10—absolutely no complaints.

Friendly staff who actually returned my call and promptly were able to get me scheduled. I ended up not needing their services and when I called to cancel they were even more polite than before.
