I checked myself into the Cox North treatment center about 2010. Got set up on Suboxone. Unfortunately I ended up getting fired before I could finish the treatment and had to get off it all by myself. And I was on 24 mg a day three pills. I wish I'd have been on 2 mg a day. When I tried winning it down myself I realized 2 mg a day was keeping the problems away if you know what I mean. But it does work! Your poop's going to be pretty loose for a long time if you were on opiates but Imodium will help LOL anyways don't give up people! Rick Byrd

I truly cannot say enough good things about this facility. From the moment I arrived, I felt loved, cared for, heard, and supported. The staff, RAs, therapists, and my peers all played such an important role in making my experience what it was, and I will forever be grateful for each and every one of them. I flew from Alabama and there is no other place I would rather go. This is honestly one of the best recovery centers in the country. Heidi, in particular, had such an impact on me. She quickly became one of my favorite people there, and I genuinely cannot put into words how much I value her. She made me feel seen, cared about, and understood during moments when I really needed it. She was more than someone just doing their job. The therapists here are truly out of this world. I was thankful to share my time there with Shae. She is a kick ass therapist who helped heal me in so many way. They genuinely care about each individual person there. I always felt listened to and understood, and I never felt like just another patient. The facility itself is beautiful, peaceful, and feels like a place where you can actually heal. The director is such a warm-hearted soul who genuinely cares about every single individual who walks through those doors. You can feel how much heart and thought she has put into creating such a beautiful place for people to come and heal. Synergy I truly thank you for everything you did for me. I came here at a point when I needed help more than ever, and I’m leaving with a completely different outlook on myself, my life, and my future! Five stars doesn't feel like enough!

You are treated with respect at Synergy. The highly trained staff, consisting of therapists, instructors, and medical personnel are committed to helping you get to the root of your issues and coming up with solutions. I was not able to find that prior to my stay at Synergy. The facility is beautiful and accommodations warm and comfortable. The experience at Synergy changed my life!

Synergy definitely has been a lifesaver for me. I have been in recovery for 3 years and all the kind people havw been so helpful I dont know where I'd be without them. UPDATE SINCE BELOW REVIEW: I went into office again today and Kim took great care of us. Found out case worker had been on vacation. New Peer worker called immediately and made arrangements. Thank you. It is encouraging now. I give Derrick the assessor 5.0, but after the assessment we were told my son would be contacted within 24 hrs. 24 hours no contact, next day no contact. I've gone in office to inquire, told case worker would call. 2 additional phone calls...still no help. My son was so encouraged during accessment. Now I have to tell him no one there cares!! Btw...also left voice mail on case worker's phone...still nothing.

My mother won't go anywhere else and after today, I see why. All around a good experience, but I wanted to give a shout out to the dental assistant, Cameron. She sat with my mom and let her tell story after story while waiting on the medicine to kick in. I'm glad I didn't let the bad reviews keep me from getting help with the Burrell Connection Center. Went in at 1pm and was through the initial process of checking insurance, getting basic information about the visit and scheduling with an evaluator within the hour. Everyone was very nice and made the process very easy. Already did an at home telehealth visit with the evaluator by 3 and then got a call from a scheduler before 5. I'm very impressed. Thanks Laura Adam's and everyone else for making this process easy for us 🙏

Only for the fact the switchboard operator tabby is the only person who has gone above and beyond for me . Otherwise getting answers , asking for a transfer of psych dr it was sent to the wrong department and all anyone wanted to do was not answer or call back I went from 60mg of Prozac to nothing for 3 weeks because of a mistake in their end. But I was referred to crisis because I was crying for any one to understand

Phenomenal care team. I only wish I'd found them when I first moved here. This office has taken the time to understand me and my health in ways that have led to drastic improvements in my quality of life. There are not enough pauses that I can sing for Dr. Ellis and his team. I was in SSDI when I first joined his practice. Now, I've been able to hold down a job with the same corporation for over 5 years now. I was counting the months until my medical conditions ended my life. Dr. Ellis is a wonderful doctor. He listens with an open mind. I feel he is genuine with my current health, medications, conditions and is keeping an eye on my health as I age. He will explain ALL options, make suggestions and listen to my feedback. The staff is friendly and I enjoy the nurses for Dr. Ellis and NPR Tisha Joplin. Joplin is also a great and welcome team player in my health journey. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Ellis and NPR Tisha Joplin. Highly recommend.

Wonderful clinic with amazing psychologists! Dr. Kohler was a brilliant psychologist and helped me through navigate through the worst time of my life after a traumatic event occurred. I am only sad that he no longer practices. Their waiting rooms are very spacious and have plenty of light which helps ease your anxiety and stress while you wait. They are great at helping you schedule appointments to fit around your work schedule! You can even book appointments out 3 in advance which is quite nice! Each doctor is different in how they set their own schedule for the days/hours in which they work though, so do keep that in mind when you're researching a particular psychologist at their practice that you'd like to make an appointment to see. If you do not have a referral from your PCP (primary care physician) or elsewhere (such as the emergency room, etc) you might be in for a bit of a long wait. It could be 3+ weeks or likely much more to be able to even get scheduled to have just your initial appointment for your evaluation with a psychologist, which from what I remember with Dr. Kohler was significantly more money/a higher copay than the regular therapy visits are. But it is *definitely* well worth every penny!!! I had different insurance with my work the year before I started seeing Dr. Kohler and had to see a therapist at Burrell and I can honestly say that I felt like I walked into a really bad section of Commercial Street after dark... And when I started to have a severe panic attack the therapist at Burrell did nothing to try to get my breathing stabilized or to try to get me back to any kind of a calm state, nor did he even offer me a single tissue and I was hysterically crying... It was completely inhumane... But here it is completely different! They genuinely care and show genuine compassion for their patients. I will never be able to repay Dr. Kohler for how much he has helped me. He was my favorite therapist.

This place is probably one of the best places for mental health and addictions centers . These people go the extra mile to help you succeed in life even with the added problems a person might have or be going through . I appreciate the services provided to us thru various places like probation and parole and cox health and even the police and fire men who might have thought about getting a person some much needed assistance . If anyone deserves a 6 star rating it's this place . Thanks everyone who puts forth a big heart to the Springfield community .

i dreaded going into satop as i heard horror stories and was worried i was gonna be made to feel like a terrible person.. after the first day, i was happy to go back with no problem. Jim is the absolute sweetest and doesn’t make you feel low. He encourages you the entire time. Darrell was amazing through my assessment. They’re so knowledgeable and an absolute hoot to be around! i would recommend this satop place to any and everybody. you guys do so well and do amazing at being supportive.

This place and the staff here have been a gift of God's mercy to me. I came out of prison with just the clothes on my feet. They helped get me into sober living, got me food, clothes, a phone, a bike, and my meds. While job searching I could stop by and go to class and hang out here. The atmosphere is like a 2nd home. I have to admit Lakeland has problems. But I wont discredit the help I received there. Yes at times it could be very traumatic but through that I learned how to handle real world stressers. I learned life isn't perfect there. I also learned how to focus on myself. There was some rude staff but what can you expect when they are literally trained to be that way. Not to mention the place is severly understaffed so there would be the same three staff doing doubles back to back. But thats besides the point. Here are my honorable mentions Mr.Daniel, Ms.Annisa, Ms.Amy, Ms.Maggie, Mr.Chandler, Mr.Jacob, Ms.Christina who is one of the best therapists I've ever had ( she honestly deserves a raise) all the people I've mentioned if they still work there they deserve a raise. also the unit manager Ms.Reba for serenity which is where I resided also deserves a raise. Also if anyone from the big bosses sees this i would like to advocate for anyone who is in there at the moment. We need better phase work like something that attains to each individual person. Also the raising our hands to speak to a staff member and asking to approach is just Ludacris you know why, We are human we are social creatures. And I have trouble even speaking to people now because I feel I have to say silent or ask to speak. Anyways the place does help if you let it. I hope Lakeland gets better and continues to help people like me.❤️
