The most wonderful place you could ever imagine, if I could put 10 stars I … Truly genuine people that care, and are ALWAYS there for you… upon arriving there, I was told by a beautiful staff member, “I promise you you’re not gonna wanna leave”, completely doubting that statement with full confidence, I was humbled when the day came to leave and she was right…. You never want to leave! So incredibly grateful for this place and everything it has done for me! They are angels 😇 🙏

I checked myself into the Cox North treatment center about 2010. Got set up on Suboxone. Unfortunately I ended up getting fired before I could finish the treatment and had to get off it all by myself. And I was on 24 mg a day three pills. I wish I'd have been on 2 mg a day. When I tried winning it down myself I realized 2 mg a day was keeping the problems away if you know what I mean. But it does work! Your poop's going to be pretty loose for a long time if you were on opiates but Imodium will help LOL anyways don't give up people! Rick Byrd

BHG Springfield has had its ups and downs the past year and a half I’ve been there. Recently, I’ve seen a significant improvement. For a while, it was an hour-two hour wait for dosing, which was tough with a job. But it’s been much smoother recently. I’ve always enjoyed the staff throughout my entire time as a patient. The golden rule has honestly been my moral compass in life, I believe it makes a world of a difference. I have a wonderful, empathetic counselor (all of them have been wonderful to me) and the nurses are sweet. The newer front desk lady has also been AMAZING too. There’s been a new director and she’s been nothing short of being lovely to me!. Prior to our new director, I had no idea who the director was, lol! It’s always nice for the team to know my name, despite the many patients that come for treatment. I don’t expect it, ever, but it’s just a simple act of kindness that is rare in my day to day. I used to dread coming here (mostly for the long wait and the discussions openly held in the waiting lobby, but I’ve learned to tune it out) but I haven’t had an issue recently. I will say I wish they took private health insurance— I pay out of pocket and it’s a dent, but that’s the price I signed up for my treatment. I have continued to live a happy and healthy life while on medicated assisted treatment. It’s allowed me to build my life while staying stable after a decade of OUD. In year one for a few months I was on a grant, which was a life saver, thanks to my counselor!! I don’t think grants are offered anymore, but I could be wrong. I can’t thank BHG South enough for giving me stability back into my life.

First initial visit today, Everyone's experience is different, but the entire staff was very polite and pleasant. They took time and answered every question I had. The front desk staff was amazing. The nurse and Doctor was also amazing. Other than the long initial visit wait time, no complaints from me so far.

Great place to get sober and stay off the streets. The only issue I have with the BHG here in springfield is the over pricing for treatment. I came from a bhg in okc and it is144 cheaper than here. Someone is taking advantage of people here. And in okc you have the option to either dose the pill form or the liquid. Sooo hmmm 🤔 but I don't think it's from the clinic itself. I believe the state of missouri has their hand in the cookie jar!

Working with KVC MO Springfield Campus is by far the easiest residential facility to navigate. From the initial admission referral process to discharging successfully with services in place. The Lakeland staff was incredibly friendly, answered all of my questions(some, numerous times), and made me feel much better in a situation which made me absolutely miserable. I cannot emphasize enough how their patience and politeness made such a situation even remotely bearable. I have a really hard time going to the doctor. When I had been at cox I’d come in with an issue and for a year I heard varying responses such as I’m overweight (which for clarification I was and am still about 135 lbs, 5’7 and work out), I need to eat healthier, I’m depressed, and so on. As it turned out my gallbladder was failing on me. I spent a year dealing with nurses and doctors who told me I was a liar and never took me seriously until one surgeon did. I’d come to my old family doctor about my throat and they recommended I see a therapist for anxiety. As it turned out I had bronchitis. It’s been two years and I needed to see the doctor again on account of some issues. My doctor Addison was so nice and so helpful. She took my concerns seriously and was very thorough. The staff is nothing but nice. It was easy to make an appointment. I had blood work done and the nurses were quick, efficient, and respectful. I just wanted to say something positive. 100% recommend

Wonderful clinic with amazing psychologists! Dr. Kohler was a brilliant psychologist and helped me through navigate through the worst time of my life after a traumatic event occurred. I am only sad that he no longer practices. Their waiting rooms are very spacious and have plenty of light which helps ease your anxiety and stress while you wait. They are great at helping you schedule appointments to fit around your work schedule! You can even book appointments out 3 in advance which is quite nice! Each doctor is different in how they set their own schedule for the days/hours in which they work though, so do keep that in mind when you're researching a particular psychologist at their practice that you'd like to make an appointment to see. If you do not have a referral from your PCP (primary care physician) or elsewhere (such as the emergency room, etc) you might be in for a bit of a long wait. It could be 3+ weeks or likely much more to be able to even get scheduled to have just your initial appointment for your evaluation with a psychologist, which from what I remember with Dr. Kohler was significantly more money/a higher copay than the regular therapy visits are. But it is *definitely* well worth every penny!!! I had different insurance with my work the year before I started seeing Dr. Kohler and had to see a therapist at Burrell and I can honestly say that I felt like I walked into a really bad section of Commercial Street after dark... And when I started to have a severe panic attack the therapist at Burrell did nothing to try to get my breathing stabilized or to try to get me back to any kind of a calm state, nor did he even offer me a single tissue and I was hysterically crying... It was completely inhumane... But here it is completely different! They genuinely care and show genuine compassion for their patients. I will never be able to repay Dr. Kohler for how much he has helped me. He was my favorite therapist.

All the staff are always so nice and helpful, regardless if it is over the phone or in person. I have been working with them for just shy of a year and have always had a positive experience. I recommend them to everyone I know that asks about counseling services. When I started back in therapy I was extremely nervous since I have had less than helpful experiences in the past. In the waiting room you feel more like home than at a doctor's office which helped so much with my anxiety about it! My therapist has been so patient and understanding with me and I can honestly say it's the best experience I have had. If you or anyone you know is needed some extra help with anything big or small in their life definitely check out OCC!

I am nothing but enormously pleased with the quality and professionalism of the therapists I’ve encountered for my two daughters here. Staff and counselors alike have been extremely helpful, and I have seen profound improvements in my daughters’ mental health. To those individuals who are earnestly and sincerely seeking therapy, I don’t skip a beat in recommending the services of the counselors at OCC.
