Got set up on Suboxone. Unfortunately I ended up getting fired before I could finish the treatment and had to get off it all by myself. And I was on 24 mg a day three pills. I wish I'd have been on 2 mg a day. When I tried winning it down myself I realized 2 mg a day was keeping the problems away if you know what I mean. But it does work! Your poop's going to be pretty loose for a long time if you were on opiates but Imodium will help LOL anyways don't give up people! My son was a patient here for a month and a half. I think treatment team did a lot to help him ! Unfortunately he made some choices good and bad really ! He did try but probably needed more attention with his medications for his mental health issues. They all did a lot to help him. The facilities are very nice and comfortable, they genuinely care and show sincere compassion for their patients, I will never be able to pay them for everything that have helped me, they are my favorite people. 7 years ago Wonderful clinic with amazing psychologists! Dr. Kohler was a brilliant psychologist and helped me through navigate through the worst time of my life after a traumatic event occurred. I am only sad that he no longer practices. Their waiting rooms are very spacious and have plenty of light which helps ease your anxiety and stress while you wait. They are great at helping you schedule appointments to fit around your work schedule! You can even book appointments out 3 in advance which is quite nice! Each doctor is different in how they set their own schedule for the days/hours in which they work though, so do keep that in mind when you're researching a particular psychologist at their practice that you'd like to make an appointment to see. If you do not have a referral from your PCP (primary care physician) or elsewhere (such as the emergency room, etc) you might be in for a bit of a long wait. It could be 3+ weeks or likely much more to be able to even get scheduled to have just your initial appointment for your evaluation with a psychologist, which from what I remember with Dr. Kohler was significantly more money/a higher copay than the regular therapy visits are. But it is definitely well worth every penny!!! I had different insurance with my work the year before I started seeing Dr. Kohler and had to see a therapist at Burrell and I can honestly say that I felt like I walked into a really bad section of Commercial Street after dark... And when I started to have a severe panic attack the therapist at Burrell did nothing to try to get my breathing stabilized or to try to get me back to any kind of a calm state, nor did he even offer me a single tissue and I was hysterically crying... It was completely inhumane... But here it is completely different! They genuinely care and show genuine compassion for their patients. I will never be able to repay Dr. Kohler for how much he has helped me. He was my favorite therapist. Victoria Lawson 7 years ago
