So far so good. Dr Reed is very nice and seems to actually listen to you compared to a lot of know it all doctors I'm used to. Staff is friendly as well and I'm always right in and out the door in less than an hour. They also helped me with payments for my visits because my insurance deductible was too high and visits would have been too expensive without their help.

I want to point out Shayna care coordinator, she goes above and beyond to help someone ! My son was a patient here for a month and a half. I think treatment team did a lot to help him ! Unfortunately he made some choices good and bad really ! He did try but probably needed more attention with his medications for his mental health issues. They all did a lot to help him. I would recommend them if you want to stay clean and learn more skills to cope !! 💯 %.

I have been going to this clinic for almost two years now. Recently they hired a new outreach person named Candice. I cannot thank BHG enough for hiring her. She has taken the time to get me set up with housing, a job, and a government phone. Its totally changed my life. She has always meet me on my level and never made me feel judged. I finally feel hope toward my future. The new nurse is also very friendly and seems to care. Great recent hires BHG, its totally changed that place!

Very kind and understanding staff, wish they had better doctors who had more experience and not just from books, and truly MO needs to up their Recovery Laws and policies, coming from WA state things here are much more rigorous and chronic pain is treated more seriously for addicts in WA, but all my care there was through the VA. So far so good, love my counselor, and all the staff are so nice and helpful!! Wish they had more group therapy options.

With complex chronic health condition it is beyond AMAZING to have a health care provider that is willing to go the extra steps. Without Ashley Walker, APRN, I wouldn't be where I am in my health journey. I greatly appreciate all she & Cheyenne have done for me over the years. Referrals within BRMC have not been an issue to arrange as well as to other facilities in & out of state. If timing has been a factor it has been from the receiving facility & not on this clinic's end. Appointments with Ashley are made as quickly as possible & more often than not I can be seen on day I call as long as there is availability. Recommend to call early for same day appt. I've used Ashley for my child since a newborn & plan to continue to do so. We go to health dept for immunizations but Ashley takes care of everything else.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt like this one needed to be written. Matt Lapham has been one of the biggest blessings during my time at True Self. What makes Matt different is that he has been where many of us have been. He understands the struggles, the setbacks, and the challenges of recovery because he’s lived it himself. That experience allows him to connect with people in a way that can’t be taught. Matt goes above and beyond for every single client, often without looking for any recognition. Whether it’s making sure someone has hygiene products, helping people find clothes and socks, taking clients to food banks, or simply being there when someone needs support, he’s always finding ways to help. If someone is in need, Matt is usually already working on a solution before they even have to ask. One thing that always stands out is the way he takes care of everyone at the house. He cooks dinner every night without complaint, and somehow manages to make it feel like a home instead of just a place to stay. The meals are always great, and it’s clear he puts his heart into everything he does. Matt also teaches classes at True Self, and every class leaves an impact. He has a way of making people think deeply about their recovery, their choices, and their future. Even when he doubts himself or feels like he could have done better, those of us listening know he’s doing an amazing job. His honesty, experience, and passion for helping others come through every time he speaks. True Self is fortunate to have someone like Matt Lapham. The amount of time, energy, and compassion he pours into helping others is truly inspiring. He may never realize how much of a difference he makes, but I can honestly say that he has made a positive impact on countless lives, including mine. Thank you, Matt, for everything you do.

Capstone has been a defining part of our family’s journey during one of the hardest seasons of our lives. As a mom of a 16-year-old struggling with substance use and mental health, I had done the research, read the books, and tried the therapy—but Capstone brought something different that we truly needed. I truly believe God led me to this place, and He continues to guide our journey every step of the way. The counseling process is exceptional. Our counselor, Matthew, has been both professional and deeply personal in the way he supports our family. My son connected with him in a way that isn’t easy for teenage boys, and that relationship has made a lasting impact that continues into aftercare. Family Week was one of the most powerful experiences I’ve had as a parent. It gave my son a voice and gave me insight into myself that I had never seen before—even after years of therapy. It completely changed how I show up for him. I was also struck by Adrian Hickmon’s leadership and presence. From the moment I walked in and he knew my name and my son, I felt seen. The wisdom he shared—and the time he personally took to answer my questions—was unlike anything I’ve encountered elsewhere. His perspective on focusing on small, steady progress has stayed with me and continues to guide how I support my son. For the first time in years, I see real hope. We are communicating better, growing closer, and moving in the right direction. This journey is far from over, but I trust that God is continuing to work in my son’s life. Capstone helped shift the trajectory—and that means everything.

Our son is currently enrolled at Capstone. It's difficult to put into words how amazing this place is. The level of excellence, from the therapists to the support staff, is second to none. Be advised, they do not mess around. The commitment level they require from the family is high, and for good reason. I've never experienced "tough love" like they put forth. This is a blessed place and we are grateful God led us to Capstone.

I checked myself into the Cox North treatment center about 2010. Got set up on Suboxone. Unfortunately I ended up getting fired before I could finish the treatment and had to get off it all by myself. And I was on 24 mg a day three pills. I wish I'd have been on 2 mg a day. When I tried winning it down myself I realized 2 mg a day was keeping the problems away if you know what I mean. But it does work! Your poop's going to be pretty loose for a long time if you were on opiates but Imodium will help LOL anyways don't give up people! Rick Byrd

I have been participating in receiving dispensed prescriptions since 2013 pretty much starting in Ca. Continuing the medication after I relocated to Mo. Ive been with B.H.G since 2020 from 3 different county's. Originally the Columbia facility was my home facility. But I decided to go ahead and transfer and relocated to Springfeild. The staff here are very professional and do their part to make the experience to be accurate, pleasant, and as quick as possible when it comes to the wait time between individuals dosing. Opening early enough for those who work. There is two windows that keep the pace steady. Hardly does the waiting room fill up unless it's a Saturday with only one nurse on duty. The nurse will see that you receive an accurate dose to curb the cravings , and get your dose steady to your needs and comfort. This is the first clinic I have gone to that has additional treatment that takes place 3 times a week , placing you as a code 3, ( coming in only on M,W,F, to dose in the clinic . Then given your perscribed dose , called a carry, to take home with you as long as you participate ) the 12 week ,class ,3 hours ,M,W,F.The instructor ,as well as the other counselors , in my opinion do their job well. Christine, IOP INSTRUCTOR, puts the effort into assisting those participating , a purposefully positive structure to help stay sober ,teaching addicts diferent ways to recover within a intense ,safe, environment. Totally self volunteered . I.o.p is considered intense out patient counseling . Christine makes the time that's required to graduate , fun, and educational about our addiction She is qualified to legally write correspondence to speak on your behalf if needed for court, probation, etc. Your participation counts. She is awesome , very caring,. In fact any of the staff I have had any contact with genuinely takes the interest in your treatment plan and will assist clients in acheiving their goals , helping those serious wanting a better way of life. I participate in the I.O.P. Counseling and i am about to graduate. It has been a great experience, I also utilize the medicaid free transportation that assures a ride to and from the facility This program makes it more than worth the time .Giving an individual a real chance in succeeding to maintaining an simpler solution to the vicious cycle of the opioid life style. Whether you need an alternative for a health issue or an addict struggling , this is a successful program .This facility, these people ,this purpose, gives you hope, IF YOU STRUGGLE WITH OPIOIDS ,COMPLICATING ,DESTROYING YOUR LIFE... I suggest this approach. Out patient treatment , medicinal dispensary, resources, counseling, all in one place. You don't have to continue battling the struggle alone... Call today, walk through B.H.G. 's doors . This is where the burden gets lifted, give yourself a chance. You are worth it. Hope to meet you soon.! Personally, it was the best move i made. It's saved my life.

I have tried attending several places similar to this but believe I have been successful this far thanks to the support and guidance I have received from everyone at this facility, but especially Christina. I have really enjoyed this rehab facility more than any other place I have ever been too by far. The facility is top-notch. Cabins are so nice and comfortable with only two clients per cabin. The food is made fresh every day that is better than five star restaurants in my opinion. So much food with plenty of left overs. The staff are amazing! They care!!!! They actually care about you and your recovery. They spend the time every day teaching us how to manage our lives and pushing the clients to find themselves. Really find themselves and why they use and how to stay sober mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The outings from the facility are so fun which include things like Top golf, canoeing, trails, rivers, and more. You will find what you need here to make a change to your life. I have read most of the reviews for this place. I know I cannot speak to the other families experiences but I can try to explain ours. We had a child go through this program from July 2023-January 2024. Of course during that time we dearly missed our child. At first, we were extremely skeptical of the staff and the changes in therapists when he started. I know these places have turn-over and it concerned us. But we moved forward with them. Our story has a fantastic finish. He made it through the program and was deemed ready to come back to us. The therapists and nurses there were fantastic, in keeping us informed of his progress. We attended all the visitations, day passes, overnite passes and family sessions throughout the process. What we seen in return was a confused child going in but a changed young man coming out. He changed drastically in his thought process and his coping skills. We could see the changes as he moved through the program. We can't say enough about the results for our family and owe this facility all the credit for helping us get back our young man, no longer confused about his place in our family. I don't know enough of the names of the staff but EVERYONE involved at the facility showed us patience, compassion and caring for our child. At the first day we met with our intake person, the nurses who would care for him and later that week the assigned therapist(s). Everyone showed us understanding with this traumatic transition. They provided resources and responses for our questions. These folks have such a hard job treating these lost kids. We have the upmost respect for everything they do. Give this place a try and follow their steps. I'm sure you will see the results.

Alright, here's what's up. The therapists you get are hit or miss but if at all possible, request one D. Wolf. She is fantastic at her job, has exceptional credentials and a solid background doing what she does. She is a remote worker and I've been seeing her for I can't quite remember how long but long enough and I hope to continue speaking with her. She is probably one of the few people who can actually listen and give solid, genuine advice and guidance. These people have reviews and surveys they have done on them for how they perform on duty. The surveys are hard to work with on a phone and since I don't care about owning a tower computer. You guys, and her bosses, can read mine here, publicly. Give the woman a raise, cover her medical and guarantee her a spot on your board of directors when the time is right. She deserves every bit of praise she can hear.
