They found out I was carrying a trait when the other hospitals couldn't. They made my c-section as painless as possible. Dr jett did amazing. The staff the nurses they're all very kind and helpful and didn't give me any reasons to worry about my child safety. They made sure I had breakfast lunch and dinner even when I didn't call. They didn't pressure me to move around too much and I was able to heal up perfect. If I would trust anyone to go to during labor this would definitely be the place and these would definitely be the people. I'm extremely impressed with labor and delivery here. I had so much fear and worries because the previous hospital caused me and my children a lot of issues and even death. This place treated everything important as it is. Without Ashley Walker, APRN, I wouldn't be where I am in my health journey. I greatly appreciate all she & Cheyenne have done for me over the years. Referrals within BRMC have not been an issue to arrange as well as to other facilities in & out of state. If timing has been a factor it has been from the receiving facility & not on this clinic's end. Appointments with Ashley are made as quickly as possible & more often than not I can be seen on day I call as long as there is availability. Recommend to call early for same day appt. I've used Ashley for my child since a newborn & plan to continue to do so. We go to health dept for immunizations but Ashley takes care of everything else. If you need help there are people everywhere here that can help you. Wether they have been clean for a month or for a year. Yes there will be some there who are still in the beggining of recovery and need to develope into adults. Addicts aren't perfect. Only Jesus is. So learn the rules. If you don't know them then ask the front desk for a copy. I like it here. Praise Jesus. That's the God that made you. If you don't try at changing or make an attempt to you won't grow and you have to want it. It's your own fault if you don't succeed here. He didn't come off judgemental or in the slightest way threatening or act like he was better than his patients. We felt like he treated us like we were on the same level. Even if you are forced to go here, if you go through him, it will be alot less anxiety for you, and he seems too honestly care about his patients along with having patience. Matt Lapham has been one of the biggest blessings during my time at True Self. What makes Matt different is that he has been where many of us have been. He understands the struggles, the setbacks, and the challenges of recovery because he’s lived it himself. That experience allows him to connect with people in a way that can’t be taught. Matt goes above and beyond for every single client, often without looking for any recognition. Whether it’s making sure someone has hygiene products, helping people find clothes and socks, taking clients to food banks, or simply being there when someone needs support, he’s always finding ways to help. If someone is in need, Matt is usually already working on a solution before they even have to ask. One thing that always stands out is the way he takes care of everyone at the house. He cooks dinner every night without complaint, and somehow manages to make it feel like a home instead of just a place to stay. The meals are always great, and it’s clear he puts his heart into everything he does. Matt also teaches classes at True Self, and every class leaves an impact. He has a way of making people think deeply about their recovery, their choices, and their future. Even when he doubts himself or feels like he could have done better, those of us listening know he’s doing an amazing job.
