I have really enjoyed this rehab facility more than any other place I have ever been too by far. The facility is top-notch. Cabins are so nice and comfortable with only two clients per cabin. The food is made fresh every day that is better than five star restaurants in my opinion. So much food with plenty of left overs. The staff are amazing! They care!!!! They actually care about you and your recovery. They spend the time every day teaching us how to manage our lives and pushing the clients to find themselves. Really find themselves and why they use and how to stay sober mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The outings from the facility are so fun which include things like Top golf, canoeing, trails, rivers, and more. You will find what you need here to make a change to your life. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt like this one needed to be written. Matt Lapham has been one of the biggest blessings during my time at True Self. What makes Matt different is that he has been where many of us have been. He understands the struggles, the setbacks, and the challenges of recovery because he’s lived it himself. That experience allows him to connect with people in a way that can’t be taught. Matt goes above and beyond for every single client, often without looking for any recognition. Whether it’s making sure someone has hygiene products, helping people find clothes and socks, taking clients to food banks, or simply being there when someone needs support, he’s always finding ways to help. If someone is in need, Matt is usually already working on a solution before they even have to ask. One thing that always stands out is the way he takes care of everyone at the house. He cooks dinner every night without complaint, and somehow manages to make it feel like a home instead of just a place to stay. The meals are always great, and it’s clear he puts his heart into everything he does. Matt also teaches classes at True Self, and every class leaves an impact. He has a way of making people think deeply about their recovery, their choices, and their future. Even when he doubts himself or feels like he could have done better, those of us listening know he’s doing an amazing job. His honesty, experience, and passion for helping others come through every time he speaks. True Self is fortunate to have someone like Matt Lapham. The amount of time, energy, and compassion he pours into helping others is truly inspiring. I have an amazing doctor, Dr. Morgan. My other specialists are wonderful, too. No one has been disrespectful or nasty to me, unlike hospitals in Decatur, Il, where I was treated like crap and nearly died due to incompetence there. I worried about getting VA care again, but I feel really great about the Fayetteville VA.

I was able to get the best help I was able to get. Piney ridge helped me throughout the way. They have great staff and administration personnel that are there to truly help kids in the United States. I am forever grateful of Piney Ridge and I would highly recommend other states to look into sending kids to this program if need be.

I have read most of the reviews for this place. I know I cannot speak to the other families experiences but I can try to explain ours. We had a child go through this program from July 2023-January 2024. Of course during that time we dearly missed our child. At first, we were extremely skeptical of the staff and the changes in therapists when he started. I know these places have turn-over and it concerned us. But we moved forward with them. Our story has a fantastic finish. He made it through the program and was deemed ready to come back to us. The therapists and nurses there were fantastic, in keeping us informed of his progress. We attended all the visitations, day passes, overnite passes and family sessions throughout the process. What we seen in return was a confused child going in but a changed young man coming out. He changed drastically in his thought process and his coping skills. We could see the changes as he moved through the program. We can't say enough about the results for our family and owe this facility all the credit for helping us get back our young man, no longer confused about his place in our family. I don't know enough of the names of the staff but EVERYONE involved at the facility showed us patience, compassion and caring for our child. At the first day we met with our intake person, the nurses who would care for him and later that week the assigned therapist(s). Everyone showed us understanding with this traumatic transition. They provided resources and responses for our questions. These folks have such a hard job treating these lost kids. We have the upmost respect for everything they do. Give this place a try and follow their steps. I'm sure you will see the results.

I love this place i was a resident at PRTC from 9/29/22-6/30/23 I had a great expierence here and learning new thing the staff is so supportive i appreciate every staff on the girls unit(East) and my therapist(best therapist i have ever had) Thank you Ms.Ryan.C and Ms.Kourtney.H i appreciate you guys so much you both have helped me through the toughest time i had at PRTC you both were there for me when i was self-harming, Trying to end my life, acting out, fighting and when i had panic attacks i still have the notes that you both gave me they stay in my wallet and i read them when i miss you guys i still have the cow stuff animal from Ms.Kourtney i sleep with it because i feel safe when i have it because i know who gave it to me and that the person who gave it to me cares and was a safe person i got comfortable with. I miss you guys and thank you every one for everything you guys did to help me get through treatment. I miss you Ms.Ryan and Ms.Kourtney and i love you guys with boundaries also thank you Ms.Sch'Vannia for helping me and discharging me On june 30th. The only place in town that I could find a cognitive therapist . PTSD is difficult but with a cognitive therapist I came a long way. Highly recommend for your mental health issues . Several different psychiatry and therapist depending on your needs and type of health problem. Only issue is hello, We need a cognitive therapist in Branson Missouri. Springfield is at least a 35 to 45 min Drive.

I was a patient here when I was 15. My experience here changed me and showed me that life is so much more than just having your mind consumed by thoughts. this place has amazing staff with the most calming tones and the kindest care, providing optional snacks and music if asked. I would admit myself again anytime I feel an episode happening, I would feel safe and comfortable. They do try to put you on a medication for some reason every time you go but if you say you are better without and can prove that then i’m sure they wouldn’t force anything on you. They focus on helping troubled people adjust to everyday life!

At this point they should just hire me I do just as much help as some of them...so no five stars. You need more therapists, yours are tired from doing 4 peoples jobs. But doctor Rahim and the amazing techs make it 1000000% better since COVID days. I give it 4 because they are trying hard to improve, they just need more staff. And donations of cigarettes, food, and activities approved by the amazing therapists

I was admitted in spring of this year of 2025 and it was the best thing I could of done. Thank you so much because I have been sober off alcohol since. You all saved my life and helped me so much in inpatient and outpatient. Angel souls and I appreciate you all. ❤️❤️❤️ Update: Hi, I am happy to say that it's coming up on nearly a year since I was last admitted to inpatient. I have been sober from alcohol and cigarettes plus hard things almost a year. Reading and exercise has helped a lot. Thank you all for your hard work and care. I will try to give updates when I can. Recently traveled to Branson for vacation and unfortunately needed to visit the ER. The experience from the registration desk to the outpatient pharmacy was great. The hospital was clean and private. The ER doctor (Dr Schmidt) gathered the information and developed a plan with us. He had the knowledge, experience, and compassion. The ER nurse Kirza and triage nurse Brian were friendly and intelligent. We even received a follow up call a few days later. I truly appreciated everyone there & feel very confident being under care at Cox medical.

This is a place for grown folk who can handle life on life terms. You stay clean get to work pay your bills and grow as person spiritually and mentally and physically. If you come to just have a roof over your head and not be here to grow up you will not succeed. It's setup as if you were living on your own at an apartment with rules and rent. Simple grown folk stuff. Go to meetings like in normal life and be in for bed. Not hard. If you need help there are people everywhere here that can help you. Wether they have been clean for a month or for a year. Yes there will be some there who are still in the beggining of recovery and need to develope into adults. Addicts aren't perfect. Only Jesus is. So learn the rules. If you don't know them then ask the front desk for a copy. I like it here. Praise Jesus. That's the God that made you. If you don't try at changing or make an attempt to you won't grow and you have to want it. It's your own fault if you don't succeed here. Because you didn't try hard enough they can send you in the right direction but you have to go in that direction instead of your own path.

I completed their neurofeedback program in 2017 with INPS. It was absolutely amazing for my anxiety and sleep. I had tried many things for years without resolving the issues and neurofeedback resolved it completely. Life changing and could not recommend them enough. You've got to stick with it and go through the whole program - don't give up after a few sessions. There seem to be a lot of complaints about insurance, billing, or paperwork issues in many of the other reviews. I, personally, didn't experience any of that. Everyone was very nice and professional with clear communication along the way.

Last March I was in a MVA and had a TBI. After months of looking, providers slapping mental health diagnosis on me, and medications that weren’t helping. I finally found Dr. Ann. She understood what I was experiencing and got me the help I needed. I am now off all medication and improving everyday.
