This place for me was a good experience I was in here for 6 months and they gave me everything I need and some of what I wanted everything that went bad was not on them it was either other patients or the foster care system the only thing that I didn't like is they gave my a new anti depression med and now I have permanent lock jaw from it but again that's not necessarily there fault

The front reception desk team is friendly , attentive and helpful. I have never felt so seen , welcomed and accepted. The NP I saw was so down to earth and understanding. My therapist was genuine and I truly felt heard. After a horrible experience with another facility with Burrell I came here, and I’m so glad I did. Courtney , Hannah and Tanner are all amazing team members here. I’m very sad to be moving again, and leaving their care. But I won’t forget the kindness and generosity I experienced here. Thank you all so much for what you do. I wish I could send everyone here.
So warm , welcoming and inviting. Snacks , water and charging stations and vending machines in the lobby really make a difference for people who are waiting on rides or waiting in between appointments. I can’t say enough good things. Thanks again y’all.

Calo has been an incredible place of growth, healing, and connection. The staff genuinely care about each child’s emotional well-being and go above and beyond to create a supportive, family-like environment. Their approach helps kids feel safe, understood, and empowered to make real changes. I’ve seen tremendous progress, not just in behaviors, but in confidence, trust, and relationships. The structured routines, therapeutic activities, and emphasis on emotional growth set Calo apart from other programs. It’s clear that every staff member is invested in helping these kids succeed.

My daughter is currently attending CALO in Lake Ozark. First of all, the setting is absolutely beautiful. Most of the staff are truly amazing—caring, supportive, and dedicated to the students’ growth. As with any program, there are always a few individuals who could work a little harder, smarter, or with more kindness, but overall, the staff makes a huge difference.
My daughter has made tremendous progress in some areas, while growth in others has been slower—but this is expected in such a complex journey. The therapists working with both students and families have been instrumental in helping us uncover and heal from past trauma. The parent retreats that the therapists run are wonderful and have helped us grow closer.
One of the most unique and impactful aspects of CALO is the canine therapy program. Each girl has the opportunity to work with a Golden Retriever, and these dogs have proven to be a tremendous source of comfort and healing. They provide steady, nonjudgmental support and play a crucial role in helping with attachment challenges and anxiety.
Unfortunately, the director for the teen girls has been the opposite of supportive. She has been consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful when it comes to assisting us and other parents in finding resources for life after CALO. This lack of professionalism and unwillingness to guide families through discharge planning directly undermines the progress the students make while in treatment. For a program that emphasizes lifelong healing, the director’s attitude is both shocking and disappointing, and it leaves parents feeling abandoned at one of the most critical stages of their child’s recovery.
While we are grateful for the opportunities and healing that CALO has provided, families deserve leadership that is just as committed to the success of students after discharge as it is to their progress during treatment.

I was a patient from August 9 2023 to June 29 2024 I never went to adolescent I was always in cottage c this place took tuff love to a whole new level the cottage staff would tell you they're preparing you for the real world when they pick on you I was gaslit and manipulated by the cottage staff on a daily basis I managed to get level 3 near the end of my stay (the 2 highest level) and I remember one day a cottage staff was teaching me to play chess at one table in the "day area" there are two tables in the day area about 4 feet apart at the second table there was a specific staff member that would constantly antagonize me throughout my stay I had sneezed and the staff said said from across the room "if your gonna sneeze put your mask on" I reassured her that It was just allergies and that we had just been out in the courtyard and it was summer so my allergies were acting up. She then said "if you knew you had allergies why did you go outside?" I told her that I knew I have had severe allergies since I was a baby and that I take prescribed medication every morning yet it's inevitable because I will always get allergies she continued with the same argument that I shouldn't have gone outside I eventually told her "this isnt a productive conversation and I don't want to argue" she agreed to stop the conversation yet continued talking about it to other staff in the room where everyone could hear i got frustrated and asked her to just drop it she said she wasn't talking to me and continued I asked again and she threatened to give me an OFL ("opportunity for learning") (a write up basically with consequences like restricting courtyard, free recreational therapy time, level drop or written apology letter/assignment) I ended up going to my room and discharged from hawthorn a week later.
This is just one example of a day in the life of a patient at hawthorn children's psychiatric hospital

Osawatomie, KS | Many have found freedom from addiction at Sunflower Recovery, an addiction treatment center in Osawatomie, Kansas. This drug rehab provides residential treatment as well as a partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program for adults with substance abuse issues and co occurring conditions. The 90 day residential treatment program | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I cannot speak highly enough about Sunflower Recovery Center and their 90-day treatment program. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt a genuine sense of care and professionalism. The program is well-structured, with a perfect balance of therapy and support to live a healthy life in recovery.
What truly sets Sunflower apart, though, is the incredible leadership of Katie, the Executive Director. Katie is more than just a director—she’s a passionate advocate for each individual’s recovery journey. She takes the time to personally connect with clients, offering encouragement, guidance, and even a listening ear when needed. Her dedication to the well-being of everyone in the program is clear, and it’s evident that she cares deeply about our success, both during the program and after. I never felt like I was just another client; Katie and her team ensured I had the tools and resources I needed to build a strong foundation for my sobriety. I never felt judged, but instead felt supported and encouraged every step of the way. The holistic approach to healing—addressing mental, emotional, and physical well-being—made all the difference in my recovery. Under Katie’s guidance, the program is not just a one-size-fits-all approach; it’s personalized and thoughtfully crafted to address the specific needs of each individual.
I am forever grateful for the entire Sunflower team for helping me take the first steps toward lasting sobriety. Sunflower is a place where you’re not just another client—you’re a person who matters.

I'm a chronic relapser and have been to Valley Hope several times. My relapses had nothing to do with Valley Hope and the care they provided. It just wasn't my time yet. I love Atchison Valley Hope. The staff are A+. They genuinely care about the patients while there and after their discharge. I get calls from my counselors and case workers periodically just to see how I'm doing. It's more than collecting an insurance check with them. I finally took their advice and went to php and iop, in addition to an addiction counselor. I'm 65 years old and sober for the first time in a very long time. There's no treatment center that's going to keep you sober or drug free. If you've come across this, It's probably fair to say, Life hasn't been a walk in the park lately, And you're looking at possible options to get help. You might be asking yourself, Is MAT right for me? I always tell people, If you have tried other programs, And treatments that have not worked for you, Then MAT is probably for you. The great thing is, BHG has an amazing staff, From Doctors, Nurses, And counselors, That can talk with you, Answer all of your questions, So you can make an informed decision. If you feel this is a good fit for you, The staff are there to help you navigate through the process, And get you on the road to recovery. I love that they make you a part of the game plan, While creating a treatment plan designed to fit each person's specific needs. At this point, You're probably just desperate to have some normalcy back in your life, And probably struggle to remember what life was like "Before". If you've read this, Please do yourself a favor, And pick up the phone and call them, It may be the most important call you ever make, Help is available!!
Nobody is going to judge you, Or look down on you, The entire staff is there to help! I love my counselor, And he's available to me any time I need, Not just during normal buisness hours. Everyone I've encountered here, Are there because they care, It's not just a paycheck to them. No matter what you decide to do, Or avenue you choose to take, I wish you all the best in your journey. Just know they're here if you need, And the staff truly care, And want to help you get better! Recovery is possible!!

Springfield, MO | BHG Springfield Treatment Center provides outpatient addiction recovery services in Springfield, Missouri. They accept Medicare and Medicaid. Self pay options are available. Their programs are designed for adults only. Staff at BHG create Individualized treatment plans to help you meet your short and long term goals. Medication assisted treatment c | Treatments Programs Payment Options | BHG Springfield has had its ups and downs the past year and a half I’ve been there. Recently, I’ve seen a significant improvement. For a while, it was an hour-two hour wait for dosing, which was tough with a job. But it’s been much smoother recently. I’ve always enjoyed the staff throughout my entire time as a patient. The golden rule has honestly been my moral compass in life, I believe it makes a world of a difference.
I have a wonderful, empathetic counselor (all of them have been wonderful to me) and the nurses are sweet. The newer front desk lady has also been AMAZING too. There’s been a new director and she’s been nothing short of being lovely to me!. Prior to our new director, I had no idea who the director was, lol! It’s always nice for the team to know my name, despite the many patients that come for treatment. I don’t expect it, ever, but it’s just a simple act of kindness that is rare in my day to day.
I used to dread coming here (mostly for the long wait and the discussions openly held in the waiting lobby, but I’ve learned to tune it out) but I haven’t had an issue recently.
I will say I wish they took private health insurance— I pay out of pocket and it’s a dent, but that’s the price I signed up for my treatment. I have continued to live a happy and healthy life while on medicated assisted treatment. It’s allowed me to build my life while staying stable after a decade of OUD. In year one for a few months I was on a grant, which was a life saver, thanks to my counselor!! I don’t think grants are offered anymore, but I could be wrong.
I can’t thank BHG South enough for giving me stability back into my life.

Great place to get sober and stay off the streets. The only issue I have with the BHG here in springfield is the over pricing for treatment. I came from a bhg in okc and it is144 cheaper than here. Someone is taking advantage of people here. And in okc you have the option to either dose the pill form or the liquid. Sooo hmmm 🤔 but I don't think it's from the clinic itself. I believe the state of missouri has their hand in the cookie jar!

Olathe, KS | KIDS TLC – Outpatient Behavioral Health is an outpatient behavioral health clinic in Olathe, Kansas. They provide mental health and behavioral health treatment for children and families. Areas of specialized care include anxiety, LGBTQ gender-affirming care, and trauma-focused care. Through this programming, you can expect an intensive outpatient | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I was here from January-2025 to August-2025, honestly it was a good experience, alot of things happend to me that were out of the staffs and in bosses power, as in other clients behavior and such, but unfortunately I did get harrased and assulted by other clients but when i stated that, action was taken immediately, they would separate the client from the other(s), and even though it may have not been far, it was better then being traumatized, these "bad" reviews have too of been caused by bad past staff or a lying child, and I was there as I was 14, I was first on the unit champions& Defenders, but maybe 1 week after, my group switched units with champions (Our sister unit) and we got renamed, but as i stayed kids came, and kids went, but I had a good experience overall, and the meals are okay, I feel like the portions should be increased a little for each unit depending on age group, everyone got the same amount, but alot of kids there would do about anything for extras, even in small amounts, I was one of them sometime but it was always 50/50 whenever I ate, I feel as bedtime is WAY too early for 13+ as its 7:00PM for bedtime, as it is healthy but it was extremely hard for me too get up in the mornings because of the time, the beds are really low on the floor if ur in building 3[unless it has been renovated by now] and in building 7, the beds are a normal height,

I was a client At TLC for at least six months and then discharged honestly for me I had a great time I have no idea these parents are talking about the one in the first photo I was there for that kid the only reason why her therapist told her no for the headphones was because they were working on headphones and then when they got unit headphones she refused to use them for the second one a hold is mandatory you cannot blame the staff they're just doing their job and if your child wouldn't have struggled then she wouldn't have so many bruises apologise but I was here for both of these kids both of these kids were in the wrong during their stay because the one that got into the hold tried to fight a staff so of course the staff has to put them in a hold because that's physical aggression and then as soon as the staff tries to put them in the hold she struggles which causes them to hold her tighter and make them stay longer the more she moves the tighter they get the girl that got bullied because of her autism she did not get bullied because of her autism she got bullied because she would cuss people out she would cuss therapist out obviously I had the same therapist so I can put this on put in that therapist was like the best therapist in the world like I have him again before that therapist left he spoke so many good things about your daughter he spoke good about your daughter even though she did so many bad things to him I'm not saying “this is the kids fault” because basically if I'm saying that I would be telling myself that same thing I'm saying that didn't help your kid and that was your objective go to another place I've been to 2 places TLC and pathways send them to another place if they don't do good especially kids in foster care the caseworker is obviously going to send them to another place if they're not doing better after discharge please this place is done so many good things for me I literally struggled in the beginning I got in so many holds in the beginning so many runways in the beginning as time progressed I got better and they finally let me out and I wasn't in a hold for like 3 months

I used to go here when i was 13/14... and for everyone who has had a bad experience placeing there child here just know as for every place it has its good and bad times. I was forchinat enough to be placed here when it had a good staff systume shout out to ,Michaelis, Doug dear, Melissa, mr Tiny, mark and meany more. I also made a tone of friends who i still keep up with to this day aswell. I had the chance learn alot about myself and my problems and left a better kid who was confident and well more behaved and I still use what I learned there to this day and I'm 30. I'm unsure how the place is doing almost 20 years later or who is working there but this place randomly popped up in my my head and i just felt the need to look it up and leave a review. Hello everyone if your still there. Say hi lol
