The front reception desk team is friendly , attentive and helpful. I have never felt so seen , welcomed and accepted. The NP I saw was so down to earth and understanding. My therapist was genuine and I truly felt heard. After a horrible experience with another facility with Burrell I came here, and I’m so glad I did. Courtney , Hannah and Tanner are all amazing team members here. I’m very sad to be moving again, and leaving their care. But I won’t forget the kindness and generosity I experienced here. Thank you all so much for what you do. I wish I could send everyone here. So warm , welcoming and inviting. Snacks , water and charging stations and vending machines in the lobby really make a difference for people who are waiting on rides or waiting in between appointments. I can’t say enough good things. Thanks again y’all.

After a few short moments they generally have your medications ready and are sending you on your way out the door. Very clean and professional environment. This program gave me so many tools to continue my recovery and maintain my sobriety. Anthony was my counselor and I truly loved him - the time, his patience, calm aura and knowing he truly cared about me. Beth and Sam were also very amazing and always well prepared. I went somewhere before them and highly regret the waste of time and money. I believe it all happens for a reason so I am very thankful to God for him guiding me to Valley hope. All of the team here truly care - there wasn’t a day Diana at the front didn’t have a smile and cheerful spirit about her. The gentleman who handled my insurance was absolutely amazing and even the gentleman that does maintenance there was so kind hearted . I'm a chronic relapser and have been to Valley Hope several times. My relapses had nothing to do with Valley Hope and the care they provided. It just wasn't my time yet. I love Atchison Valley Hope. The staff are A+. They genuinely care about the patients while there and after their discharge. I get calls from my counselors and case workers periodically just to see how I'm doing. It's more than collecting an insurance check with them. I finally took their advice and went to php and iop, in addition to an addiction counselor. I'm 65 years old and sober for the first time in a very long time. There's no treatment center that's going to keep you sober or drug free. It takes work, but at AVH they will provide a serious reboot for your future. Alec T.

I have done the program twice at mrc. The aftercare they have is one of a kind. The staff is amazing. There are far too many to list individually. It is truly the staff in the facilities that have kept me sober. The one huge thing I disagree with though is upper management. They have definitely become more about money than the patients. They only accept bcbs for insurance, so unless you have a lot of money, don't bother coming here. There is no breakfast to speak of. It is not about comfort I guess

I am currently in MRC’s Phase 2 program I have been through the 30 days in residential and 60 days in Phase 1 a structured sober living with peer support. The nurses and peer support were fantastic at detox always there is you need anything. Or just a shoulder to cry on. At phase 1 Tyler and Jermaine were awesome people to be around the peer support there. You could talk to them about anything and they drove us to meetings all around the metro. I am now living in one of the two phase 2 houses. I have a great job, that I love. Making rent every month and still saving at the same time because rent is so affordable. All in all I would recommend anyone to MRC including Tiger Woods

I am currently in MRCs phase 2 sober living, and i can honestly say that MRC saved my life. They introduced me to a community of people that i can connect with, that will help me stay sober long after i leave MRC! Most of the staff is in recovery themselves so they understand where we have been in early sobriety; as well as the kind of love and compassion that we need! They have choices of: a 30 day detox program and a 45 day mental health program to start. As well as continued treatment with sober living options to reintegrate back into society as a sober person! I love MRC they changed my life for the better!

Got the best help😁 Mrs and Mrs D were the highlights of my days always so funny to hear about their childs latest shanangin! And their is another staff member, she is very confidential so no names but when we where down she got us started paper, it was that little kind gesture that made us all so happy, and then there is Mrs H she is so sweet and gentle always there if you needed to talk. And then there was Mrs G she got along with us all so fast! What made us so comfortable around her was because when she first came on the unit, she wasn't a stranger at all so warm to all of us and treated us all in the moment and not the past And then there was Mrs L and Mrs C they were hard to warm up to at first but they were my favorite night staff the were so hummurous and there for all of us whether good or bad! And Mrs J she was a gentle lady, loved us all. And Mrs T and Mrs S they were also night staff, a little clumsy with their jobs and how to do things but overall such great care! And there was another staff member she was a nurse Mrs H and she loved me a lot, and always made me smile! and Mr H he always gave great life lessons! and Mr C he does well at his job, but hated a lot BECAUSE he does his job. He get a lot of criticism and that's hard to handle 247! And don't forget MRS R my therapist, she did an amazing job she needs a raise, hahaha! And they had an amazing horse program, I won't say anything anout the therapists though, I didn't have an exact connection with those lovely ladies. Anywho, this Ellie, I discharged 4-26-26 it's almost been two months! And I've been doing amazing with all the hard work you put in to me! All with love - bluey🩵

The Crossroads Program is the creme of the crop. I've watched it save countless lives, including my own. The outpatient treatment is top-notch; the counselors there have an uncanny ability for setting up an environment where people feel safe to open up. Unlike many other treatments, they offer a long-running support group that gives people the opportunity to learn how to be in the real-world after treatment while having a safety net of counselors and fellow friends-in-recovery to lean on as they adjust. It's also fun as hell. I don't know where I'd be without this place.

I don’t know what we would have done without Crossroads. Our teenage son started using in middle school - abusing his prescription ADHD meds, overdosing on cold medicine, stealing our credit cards to purchase gummies through the mail, and spending every free moment, trying to figure out how to get high again. We found Crossroads through a recommendation from an addiction therapist, and we will be forever grateful. We didn’t want to traumatize him with a scary hospital stay or an institution that broke him down - our son already had such low self-esteem and low motivation. We wanted something to build him up and teach him how to live in the real world without needing to be high. The connections and friendships he developed at Crossroads on the very first day continue to be the key to his sobriety. He is never alone, and thanks to the weekly parent meetings, neither are we. Our anxiety has been replaced with hope because we are an active part of his success. We get weekly check ins and weekly meetings so we can support him at home when he’s not with kids and counselors from the program. The twinkle has returned to our son’s eyes because he’s been loved and supported from day one. He has friends and a sponsor and an entire safety net to catch him if he ever falls. Crossroads gives everyone a positive path forward that they call “enthusiastic sobriety”! The counselors and staff all know what they’re doing because they’ve been through this too. If you’re searching for a treatment plan for your son or daughter, consider the loving arms and daily hugs from Crossroads!

Law enforcement and EMS hospitals can make referrals, and they accept walk-in
There is a button next to the front door you have to press to get buzzed into the building. It’s on the right side of the door. I hope this is helpful because past reviewers have said they couldn’t get access the building. I had a really great experience here. The process does take some time and you have to be patient. But they were truly amazing and helped me so much. I was assigned an emergency case worker, Phil, who has been amazing. He continuously checks up on me and has helped me every step of the way. Phil helped me sign up for all of my appointments (mental, dental and primary care), as well get Medicaid coverage within a week of leaving the crisis center. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough. They are the net.
