Dr. Demark is a doctor I have seen for 14 years. He is one of the best and one of the only doctors I trust. He is available when needed. His nursing staff has changed over the years but are still very high quality. I wish he would have a full time nurse, but the KCVA does what that think is best. Dr. Demark thank you for being my Dr.

I absolutely love this pharmacy! All staff are so nice and helpful and are willing to do whatever it takes to get you, your medications and the wait is not long at all. After a few short moments they generally have your medications ready and are sending you on your way out the door. Very clean and professional environment. I have never had a problem coming here to get my medications refilled. I'll definitely be continually coming to this pharmacy for my medication refills! đź’Š

The front reception desk team is friendly , attentive and helpful. I have never felt so seen , welcomed and accepted. The NP I saw was so down to earth and understanding. My therapist was genuine and I truly felt heard. After a horrible experience with another facility with Burrell I came here, and I’m so glad I did. Courtney , Hannah and Tanner are all amazing team members here. I’m very sad to be moving again, and leaving their care. But I won’t forget the kindness and generosity I experienced here. Thank you all so much for what you do. I wish I could send everyone here. So warm , welcoming and inviting. Snacks , water and charging stations and vending machines in the lobby really make a difference for people who are waiting on rides or waiting in between appointments. I can’t say enough good things. Thanks again y’all.

She sat with my mom and let her tell story after story while waiting on the medicine to kick in. There is a button next to the front door you have to press to get buzzed into the building. It’s on the right side of the door. I hope this is helpful because past reviewers have said they couldn’t get access the building. I had a really great experience here. The process does take some time and you have to be patient. But they were truly amazing and helped me so much. I was assigned an emergency case worker, Phil, who has been amazing. He continuously checks up on me and has helped me every step of the way. Phil helped me sign up for all of my appointments (mental, dental and primary care), as well get Medicaid coverage within a week of leaving the crisis center. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough. They are the net.

I went to Heartland due to suicidal thoughts. I was in a very bad place and I needed help and Heartland gave me that help. The staff was very nice and I had no problems with them. I especially liked Dave as he kept us entertained throughout the day with different activities when we had time between the scheduled things. He also helped me become much more comfortable there as I had never been to a mental health facility before. Overall I would say Heartland is a place I would prefer to go back to if I need help again.

My child went here and it was an excellent experience from beginning to end. It was a lengthy stay and everyone here was wonderful. As a parent it’s so hard to look at the negative reviews on all these facilities and not know what to believe. This place was recommended to me by a sheriff whose foster child stayed here. He said it was life changing for her in a positive way and I’m so glad we listened to him. We’ve had our child at different facilities and they were not good experiences.

My daughter has been diagnosed and being treated by therapist Kate. My daughter has dealt with alot of social issues. I've noticed a change in my daughter with just a few therapy sessions with Kate. I feel we, as a family, were blessed by God the day my son began his journey here. He has been helped far beyond our wildest dreams. Diagnosed Schziophrenic and other problems and past addictions. An incredible facility that’s worth exploring. If you’re at the end of your rope, don’t give up hope and give this place a try! The techs, cooks, and clinicians here are all top-notch. They help you find the tools and healthy habits you need to get and stay clean. I don’t know where I would be in my life today if it weren’t for Sunflower Recovery, unlike any other treatment center. They’re truly like family to me at this point. I love this facility! I’ve been now clean 19 months and it’s all thanks to sunflower!!
