Best Maine Drug Rehab Centers

I was the unruliest patient here both times, it was a rough start, it truly was, but I am a strong person, and I often pointed out to staff where my rights were being violated, I was able to get a TTV to go pay bills, I was blue papered but reversed it so I could do the therapeutic walks outside the unit. I am sorry to see such bad reviews, but I can understand why. There were always miscommunications, The doctors didn't always listen, but this experience helped shaped my career in mental health! Don't give up!

This place was really able to help me when I had a break down a few years back after my dad died. Its not a bad place if you follow the rules and focus on your treatment. If you don't and act up and fight others or staff you get put in seclusion, then they get out and leave bad ratings on the hospital and staff that tried to help them .

I was in a really low place in my life and struggled heavily with my mental health, primarily depression. I came here and they were able to get me situated with my meds, outside providers and get me on my way.

It's a great place to go to get some knowledge about different addictions and get some help.

Very helpful, except the hours are wrong, got there at open (5am) but they wouldn't let us in until 5:15 they were supposed to change hours from 5-1;30 but kept the morning hours 5:15/5:30

I recently had to courtesy dose here from Arizona and I will say I will never choose a different place when going back home to visit. They were awesome, worked hard to get me settled in and were super easy to work with. Also because I have take homes within my own home clinic my counselor was able to get me take homes there to make my trip that much easier. I’m thankful for the kind welcome and Henry’s hard work getting me set up!

Liberty Bay is not only responsible for saving my life but for helping me create a life I have never dreamt possible. As a newcomer to any kind of rehabilitation and recovery it was beyond my beliefs that this process/faculty/clients could be such an amazing experience. I believe everyone should do this once in their lifetime even without substance issues.Would recommend to anyone!!!!

This place was the start of my new life, and I am grateful to have been a client there. The staff made me feel cared for and heard, my room was clean and the food was great! Would recommend Liberty Bay to anyone struggling.

If you have someone you love in rehab, this place is a God send. They truly care about their clients. They provide counseling and the 12 steps. Very good care.

Wonderful staff

Don't think for ONE SECOND that you're going to help the day you call, you won't. Getting into a state sanctioned program takes time and there are hoops to go through, for a reason. They give you an appointment to come back and they make sure that you have NO open scripts for opiates, paperwork, paperwork, see a doctor, see a nurse, see a counselor, and this is all at 6am. You may be going through withdrawals by the time you dose, around 1pm. YOU WILL NOT GET HELP THE DAY YOU CALL!!!!! Don't think you will. If you need help NOW, go to the hospital or try Kratom. Cap is awesome but you have to put your recovery ahead of the people and the counselors. Not gonna sugar coat this subject at all.

Saved my life!!

When I walked through the doors at Crossroads for residential treatment, I was dying—inside and out. Addiction and an eating disorder had taken everything from me. I was exhausted, hopeless, and scared. I didn’t know who I was anymore, and I didn’t believe I could be saved. But slowly, with the unwavering support of the clinicians, psychiatrist, nurse, dietitian, and every member of the staff, something inside me began to shift. IOP supported me as I began stepping back into the world. It was scary, but I wasn’t alone. Crossroads gave me a soft place to land while I figured out how to walk through life on new, steadier legs. Even now, I continue to meet with my clinician weekly, still learning, still growing. The truth is, Crossroads gave me more than treatment—they gave me my life back. In the year since I arrived, I’ve changed in ways I never thought were possible. I’ve discovered who I am beyond my pain. I’ve built a new identity, one that’s no longer defined by alcoholism and anorexia. For the first time in my life, I feel safe in my body and in the world. I am endlessly grateful. Crossroads didn’t just help me recover—they helped me come home to myself. And I truly mean it when I say: this program saved my life.

I would Definitely recommend crossroads for anyone who is seeking help on their recovery journey. The staff are compassionate and caring. From my experience it is a safe judgement free place to get your life back on track.

I would highly recommend Crossroads residential rehab program, they have been welcoming from the time you walk through the front door here to help you at your lowest and bring you to your new high points. Staff is amazing and always there to support you with all and any needs. My experience at Crossroads has truly been life changing. I would recommend Crossroads to any woman looking to change their life for the better.

I am back attending the opiate addiction program at Bangor Comprehensive Treatment Center...got hooked again because of a herniated disc injury in my back, that was super-painful. Anyway, I think that the program is better now than it was when I attended a few years ago. My counselor back then was a really good guy and my current counselor now is even better. Absolutely love going there and love all the people that work there from the director down to the janitor...they are all great people that have a great program that I credit with saving my life. If you need help quitting opiates and want a medically assisted program, Bangor CTC is MOST DEFINITELY right up your alley!!

This treatment center has help a lot of my friends and loved ones get the professional and proper treatment needed for them to become more successful in meeting their life goals!

This place saved my life. They'll give you the tools you need to get off the street, help finding a doctor, etc., if you show initiative.

I doubt it very much that they refused to interview a client because of their gender, I've been associated with Assistance Plus as a Client for going on 8 years an they'd bend over backwards to help anyone if they could or even if they can't. They're Kind, their Courtesy and Considerateness towards Clients is top Notch, Unbeatable. Love Em'

Best mental hospital in Maine. They act like this is the most severe place you can end up but I found the treatment here to be the best even if the stay was about 50% longer than when I went to other hospitals I deserved it because I was really unwell when I started. I was difficult to work with and paranoid about trying their medication but they worked with me. The best part is they never forced me to take anything except one time when I dissolved a pill in my mouth instead of swallowing it whole. So they made me take it again. Then they said they were going to force me to take haldol once with a shot but I said " time out, I'll take it orally" so they cancelled the shot and I took the pill. That actually really made me angry but they let me go outside right after. They gave me ice cream for good behavior almost every day. You can call the kitchen and order custom food if they have the ingredients. The coffee is almost unlimited (decaf). You can almost always get a snack if you want one. They gave me headphones and this part was really awesome, they let me use a computer to put music i purchased on Amazon on a memory card for headphones they let me use. So I could listen to the radio or my own music whenever the battery was charged. They allowed books. And I got to go outside multiple times a day. (There is even a tree in the courtyard you can touch.) A tree doesn't seem important but if feels like a big deal if you're locked up. As far as the treatment team goes I've never worked with a team that was so nice. Doctor Reeves was the smartest most flexible doctor I've ever worked with. I wasn't easy to work with but Reeves did a great job and eventually earned my trust. I should of listened to him more. I'm so used to doctors disrespecting me and forcing me to take meds I don't want to take, it was really refreshing to have a doctor that wanted me on a med I was willing to keep taking long term. I was used to psychiatrists getting my meds wrong so I underestimated Reeves. I should of took his recommendations more often, can't say that for other psychiatrists I've had. Overall I felt a high level of respect and professionalism from the treatment team. What was the biggest downside? Ice cold showers during the middle of winter. The showers were ice cold. I'm surprised a pipe didn't burst. They said the water would warm up if I left it running but it never did warm up.
