I became a patient after my husband passed after a tough fight with cancer. Not sure why all the negative reviews! Have had such a great experience here. From the time I signed my son up to the time he was given his first appointment was within a weeks time. Olivia is so great with my kiddo! All of the staff are truly amazing and you can tell they actually care about the patients. Highly recommend if you re in the area and looking for a place to go for counseling! You aren t alone, there is help out there and people who care!

7 years this February I was at the facility and it was sensational. I loved the staff and the food. You have to want recovery and if you do this is the place. I took the treatment in stride and used it for what it is there for. You have to decide on your own to be clean and that mentality is all that you need! I don't understand these bad reviews; I know some people are forced to be there, and are defiant(possibly coming off harder stuff), but some people left and decided to come back. There were fights but not physical. I wasn't there very long, quick voluntary detox from alcohol; I found the staff all to be very nice; kitchen staff helped me with my immense food allergies, and gave me great food that I wasn't expecting, it was so good, and I'm a chef who makes almost everything from scratch. The nurses were awesome... I can't speak for others, but some disgruntled people had reasonable criticisms, and when people are detoxing, maybe sometimes, their negative attitudes require more patience and compassion. I was happy to be helped. The only reason I didn't give 5 star is because maybe cuz I was appreciative for being helped; recovering people may need, like I said, more patience, and also, I "needed" a doctor's note to go back to work; after a week of calling multiple times, and never receiving as promised, my boss brought me back on a technicality. I also was 'referred" to outside resources; I haven't received any; I received a 3rd party call, but nothing has got done. Either way, from residents I talked to, this is the best facility around, many left, and told me it was due to their addiction, and then tried other places and chose to come back to this one. It is not bad to stay there, and they give you free cigarettes, which may be questionable, and I had quit smoking, but smoked a ton. They let detox do that, but residence has scheduled smoke breaks and way more rules and requirements. It took a few days but I'm down to barely smoking. I think free cigs is good, even though it's bad for you and addictive, it actually acts as group therapy,from my own experience, and if you're coming off something, nicotine my be addictive, but doesn't require detox, and just like with a variety of meds they use to treat detox/withdrawals, it is kind of a comfort med. Either way, I thought this place was great; they definitely rely on a lot of funding,some personal, and I only stayed 5 days, my financial assistance would have paid for 7 if the nurse thought it was dire, but they weren't gonna cover programs, and I felt detoxed.

Soo.. my counselor Carolyn Diehl is the most phenomenal woman I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I'd like to say a few things about this lady. She completely changed my life even though she'll never say it had anything to do with her thats its all you. You put in the work ... yea yea yea but she really has. I've had the pleasure of working with her for a little over a year. I've never met a more dedicated, caring, courageous counselor in my entire life. She has saved my life more times than I can count by her group sessions where i've met some amazing people and built some great connections with over the last year. Her 1:1 sessions and yes her emails as well. She always checks in with you even though that may just be her job she never forgets and is always there anytime you need her. I've been through a lot this year losing a lot...and gaining even more. And I can say from the bottom of my heart I couldn't have gotten where I am today without her. She deserves the world on silver platter for the work she does day to day. And P.S to the agencies management she definitely deserves a raise for the work she puts in. She gave me my life back. Yes I know..everyone will say she's just a counselor. But, to me she's so much more. Thank you for being so involved with the work you do and caring as much as you do. Okay so heres how these reviews are all going to look, either five stars and great words of affirmation, or 1 star and lots of excuses and negativity. There are rules and recommendations to follow, and when your ready to get sober you will follow them. And if you do, and put forth some effort, there's nobody at Helio Health that won't bend over backwards trying to help you bridge gaps. They don't work FOR you, they work WITH you. When I was ready for the nonsense to stop, and willing to do what needed to be done, Helio Health helped me change my entire life. It works if you work it.

One thing is for sure, Helio Health saved my life. I started as a client and now I am working for Helio. Outpatient, residential, recovery center and inpatient/detox. All amazing programs that a lot of people put their heart and soul into.Some people like to complain about anything because nothing will ever, please them. I have lived on the streets and if someone comes into this facility and states that the streets are better. Then they clearly have never been on the streets. It's all about perspective. If you're ready and willing to make your life better regardless of what you have to do and how it will make you, "feel". If we made people completely comfortable, with all this and that, then no one would leave. I have seen that with different facilities that have all this food and that but then they don't have the proper treatment or groups. But they feed you well. Pick your poison. Some kids act like spoiled brats and nothing is ever enough. Maybe you should change your perspective, it's amazing what is possible by thinking positive regardless of the situation. It's easy to come on here and judge when you don't see it through. Suffering is real. You can choose to let a little rain ruin your day or you can choose to make a rainbow. The choice is yours. We give you the necessary tools, now it's up to you to alchemize what is taught. I can choose to be better, or I can make excuses. What do you choose?

So as a client I thought I would share my "unadulterated" thoughts on Helio Health. First of all, lets start with rehab in general. It's a horribly uncomfortable process that will eventually save your life. This being said, its pretty easy to have a negative view of any organization while you are 30 days or less from a drug or a drink. I have found Helio Health to have an abundance of resources for one to obtain sobriety and restart their life. In just the last 80 days I have been able to get my head screwed on straight, remain sober, fix broken relationships and obtain a pathway to success in every area of my life. Physically, mentally, spiritually the tools were there to obtain. It was up to me to accept that no "program" or rehab is going to be perfect and my life transformation was up to me. It was my job to use the assets given to my advantage and Helio Health had plenty to offer that were much different than my prior rehab experiences! Although staffing any business can be tough in these times, the counselors and nurses were super helpful and friendly. Hopefully with the intense need for recovery staff, businesses will start to pay them a bit more of what they deserve!

Both times I've needed urgent care, SCHC got me in fast and took fabulous care of me (even better than my own PCP). What my pcp thought as only a virus, turned into strep for 8 days. SCHC gave me antibiotics and within 36 hours, I feel SO MUCH BETTER. I am switching my care to the health center ASAP!

One thing is for sure, Helio Health saved my life. I started as a client and now I am working for Helio. Outpatient, residential, recovery center and inpatient/detox. All amazing programs that a lot of people put their heart and soul into.Some people like to complain about anything because nothing will ever, please them. I have lived on the streets and if someone comes into this facility and states that the streets are better. Then they clearly have never been on the streets. It's all about perspective. If you're ready and willing to make your life better regardless of what you have to do and how it will make you, "feel". If we made people completely comfortable, with all this and that, then no one would leave. I have seen that with different facilities that have all this food and that but then they don't have the proper treatment or groups. But they feed you well. Pick your poison. Some kids act like spoiled brats and nothing is ever enough. Maybe you should change your perspective, it's amazing what is possible by thinking positive regardless of the situation. It's easy to come on here and judge when you don't see it through. Suffering is real. You can choose to let a little rain ruin your day or you can choose to make a rainbow. The choice is yours. We give you the necessary tools, now it's up to you to alchemize what is taught. I can choose to be better, or I can make excuses. What do you choose?

So as a client I thought I would share my "unadulterated" thoughts on Helio Health. First of all, lets start with rehab in general. It's a horribly uncomfortable process that will eventually save your life. This being said, its pretty easy to have a negative view of any organization while you are 30 days or less from a drug or a drink. I have found Helio Health to have an abundance of resources for one to obtain sobriety and restart their life. In just the last 80 days I have been able to get my head screwed on straight, remain sober, fix broken relationships and obtain a pathway to success in every area of my life. Physically, mentally, spiritually the tools were there to obtain. It was up to me to accept that no "program" or rehab is going to be perfect and my life transformation was up to me. It was my job to use the assets given to my advantage and Helio Health had plenty to offer that were much different than my prior rehab experiences! Although staffing any business can be tough in these times, the counselors and nurses were super helpful and friendly. Hopefully with the intense need for recovery staff, businesses will start to pay them a bit more of what they deserve!

Here's the deal...I'm going to give a bluntly honest review on the positives, as well as the negatives that come with placing yourself, or you're loved ones in this specific facility, Dick Van Dyke(DVD) and do so in as little text as possible.I will give as much detail as possible, and the ONLY thing I will not inform you on is the names of any patients(OR Prisoners as the Court Or Parole Mandated ones call themselves ).To give reference to why you should trust the Information I'm giving you, or that you can give your loved one to make a logical and well informed decision before making one, this place truly is special in a way, it is also, not for SOME people, if you deal with certain, let's say, mental health or PTSD during sleep especially, and/or, triggers that make you...Let's say, explode and have angry responses, or, if you are someone without a lot of self control, or you dealt with tremendous amount of violence in your life that caused you issues currently with your temper, this place, really may not be the right fit for you..This was my first inpatient rehab experience, but this is FAR from being my first facility I have stayed in, I have been to jail in multiple states, mental health hospitals as a kid, group homes, and juvenile lockdown facilities in southern California, I am now 28 years old, and a father of two wonderful children out west, and though the past has a way of creeping up on me and effecting how I deal with things, they are my world and my reason for placing myself in this place.However, let's start off with the positive aspects of D.V.D first.So, Positives- You get you're own room, you do not have to share you're room. Theres only about 3 hours out of the day you have to attend groups and their split up. EVERY COUNSELOR Is Awesome, PLZ give Laura A Chance, she comes off very stern and doesn't mean to, but in my last night, she proved to be the one person who helped me the most, and was the most caring! She just, doesn't mean to come off the way you may feel at FIRST, I didn't really give her much of a chance and that's on ME. Andrea, where do I start with her.. Well, she's thee BEST staff in there, and even tho my violent, PTSD filled, lifetime of L.A Gangbanging crooked ass self walked in that place full of trauma, full of anger, pain so deep in the soul it has no escape, and even when I snapped a few times, she the one who ACTUALLY calmed me down, and truly cares..2 feet from a beast with 3 eyes she can see with more than just 2..and knows she was sitting across from somebody who used to get down with the demons and danced my whole life with the fk'n devil..She has all compassion & all desire to help and be somebody to lean on. I promise, she won't reveal it but she more gangster& more experienced than she looks/gives off. I, am just somebody filled with anger, pain, massive loss, watching my homies get killed right Infront of me, PTSD that is so hard to control, it would shock even the worst of men. She ain't budge, but my issue is, I didn't either, I should have opened up more to her. Best damn woman I've met in a very long time, in another life I woulda married her lmao she cool as a fan 95% of the staff truly care, the women in this facility deserve the upmost respect. I lived a life of gangs since 12 y.o, selling/doing drugs, facilities, I'm someone who does not know how to talk about my trauma or express it non-aggressively, they still wanted to help me & they WILL help you. Ann Marie, Andrea, Laura, everybody EXCEPT CRISTEN T..I appreciate you all.. DONT attempt to build any type of conversation with your nurses, most are nice but no unnecessary talk with your nurses. Especially CRISTEN T, leave that angry woman right alone if you have a temper. I came way out of my character reacting to her and snapped. I was taken a lil off foot by my initial reaction to Laura, even complained a lil, but I found her to be the most caring & helpful my last night Prison Food From 5 Points Prison.. Disgusting showers. Half the patients are mandated&want to get high.

If you're struggling with addiction. I would highly suggest this ATC to help get you on your personal road to recovery. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. Only reason they get 4 stars is because they suck at teaching accountability here which is very big for early recovery especially when addicts first leave rehab. Besides that, this place is worth your time!!!! Get help and get clean!

St. Joseph Hospital is NOT I repeat NOT A (insert slang word or words hear) joke.Not everyone knows everything and my experiences with the Arnot Rehabilitation Services was just as expected.They treated me with dignity, were patient, and extremely knowledgeable.I look very much forward to continue my Rehabilitation needs in the future.Do not take anybodies opinion about the care they provide including this one.If you are displeased just say so in a respectful manor.
