Some wildly inaccurate comments have compelled me to write a review. I have been with tempo for almost two years now, abrasive, unprofessional, and rude is a complete misrepresentation of this staff. I was once in your position so I have an understanding of where you may be at mentally. If you can’t get one over on people that doesn’t mean they are rude or insensitive. Its time to grow up. I dealt directly with Charlene over email and on the phone last week and she was nothing, but pleasant and helpful. She worked with me and we reached a mutually beneficial outcome that same day. I know I am not the easiest person to deal with, but the Tempo staff have always treated me with respect and kindness since day one. I suggest you continue to seek help and take it seriously. This is your life and if you are having a hard time with people who are truly looking out for you, it might be time to do a serious evaluation of your life and who you are. I want to thank Tempo for everything they have done for me the past year and 10 months. I am thankful for all of you.

This clinic isn't perfect by any means, but it is better than any other one I've ever been on. They give you the "cherry" syrup methadone instead of the b.s. water kind, they don't force you to do i.o.p. or groups or anything like that. And the line is usually not too bad all things considered. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants the help. Also, they offer a lot of help with other aspects of your life including employment and mental health services, as well as helping you with getting your foodstamps or medicaid turned on if you need that. Haven't met any staff member there that hasn't gone above and beyond for me to help with every issue that has come up.
UPDATE: so I've been on and off this program like 4 or 5 times. On it now. And of course since the last time I was there which was about 2 years ago there is only one or two of the same staff there. Big turnover rate. But seems like alot of less people on the program or maybe more people getting take home bottles because there is never a line when I go. And they don't allow anyone to "hangout" for like 4 blocks in any direction to prevent the b.s. that goes on outside every clinic in America. I gotta say it's still the best spot I've been to and I've been on at least 5 different ones in ny and nj

I've been to several methadone clinics and Greenwich House is by far the best. Staff is very friendly, accommodating, and professional. If you're looking for a methadone clinic go here, dont waste your time anywhere else. I was medicated on the first day. They dont force you to go to groups. The counselors are very helpful and they have on site medical and mental health services.
Update!
Today, 7/17/23, was my last day at Greenwich House. A few months ago I had been on 210 mg of methadone for about 4 years and decided it was time to get off. So I began to taper down relatively fast dropping 10 mg per week. When I got to 20 mg I slowed down to 5 mg decreases per week. Anyway, when I got down to 5 mg I decided to go down to 2 mg and that was today. I got my weeks worth of 2 mg bottles and when they're gone I'll be totally off methadone. I did this with no withdrawal symptoms or cravings. And I have not touched dope since I began the program on 4/27/19. I'm so proud of myself and this is a total success story. There is such a stigma about methadone. People say it's like "liquid handcuffs" or that it controls your life and it's impossible to get off and it's just replacing one drug with another, but I'm proof that none of that is true. Methadone saved my life and when I felt I didn't need it anymore I got off, simple as that. I would like to thank my counselor Sophia and Marlene from the medical department for both always being so supportive and accommodating. They genuinely care about all of their patients and deserve mentioning although all the staff is very caring, helpful and professional. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are struggling with addiction. They WILL help you.

Hi everybody! I am a current resident at Samaritan village's inpatient and methadone facility and I think they have a wonderful program! I have been to many programs and this is by far the best. In their residential program, you have access you methadone maintainence although it is not required, you receive your psychiatric medications and have an on premises psychiatrist and primary care Dr although you may see your own. I see theirs and they are wonderful. They do not chastise you if your on a controlled psychiatric medications, it is considered and often allowed if you have a diagnosed. They offer both methadone and Suboxone and the clinic in the Richmond Hill facility has their methadone clinic right downstairs so you can dose upon waking up. The staff is caring and professional, and the community is caring as well. Well that's about all I have to say! If you are struggling with substance abuse and looking to change your life, look no further! This place is 5* and fully covered by almost all insurance as far as I know! I have Medicaid and they cover my services here

My sister is being neglected by this establishment for 6 months she requested that they change her medication for scydnophernia and they refused also they do not allow family members to talk to the doctor she has only a nurse practitioner. Her therapist dumped her because she didn't want to go to a program at Kings County Hospital. This place is putting my sisters life in jeopardy.
12/20/24 Update they changed her meds, and she been doing well they really take good care of her needs. She still doesn't have a therapist, but her psychiatrist is the best.

I had a procedure in the endoscopy department on 04/09/2025. I must compliment the staff on their professionalism, and their knowledge of what was going to take place. They are truly a great surgical team. From the nurses, to the anesthesiologist , to the surgeons.They made me feel reassured, safe and, at peace. The nurse Latoya was very professional and very good at replacing my IV that was causing discomfort, inserted by someone else. Lastly, nurse Brianna was amazing, while I was recovering from anesthesia she was patient and very helpful, she didn't rush me at all and didn't make me feel uncomfortable. Nurse Brianna was also very knowledgable and extremely professional, thanks for the juice and cookie. While I was only under for a short period of time, Brianna gave me all the time I needed to recover, unlike the staff Ears, Nose & Throat; all they did was rush me out of their recovery room after a ten hour operation. DON"T EVER GO THERE. Lousy, uncaring and unprofessional.

The Manhasset one. My brother recently had open heart surgery and from beginning to the end all top notch service. Customer service is what Northwell strives on and it never lacks. Every employee is at your beck and call literally.
Dr Stevan Pupovac was the heart surgeon and he is the kindest, most patient and will explain and draw every picture to help you understand what is needed to get you back to recovery, not to mention he is so handsome.
To sum it up this hospital saved my brothers life

My husband had scheduled sternum surgery here on 4/25. Our experience was exceptional throughout his stay. We were treated with respect and compassion by everybody we met. The nurses were wonderful.
His surgeon, Dr. William Shi and his partner were outstanding. The anesthesiologist was also outstanding, She explained everything in detail and listened to our concerns.
His ICU nurses, Kevin, Jillian and Aldin, were also outstanding They were very attentive and patient.
His nurses on the second floor, Alicia, Madeleine and Shaundelle McLean, also went above and beyond.
We can't say enough great things about the care he received from all the medical professionals who made this surgery go as smoothly as possible.

Northwell manhasset hospital is the best hospital in ny state. I came here from Mount Sinai. Looking for a 2nd opinion. Mount sinia said I had alot of major issues that didn't feel correct. After going to northwell I recieved a full mri, sono gram of the heart and stomach. After speaking to many docter and doing plenty of testing the came to me with the solution. If I had not came here I would still be in shambles. What they did for me here compared to any other hospital is night and day no comparison. I'm an oceanside resident so figure the closer the better. But that's not true always get a 2nd opinion from northwell or make it your first choice. The equipment is extremely high tech & very easy to work with. All of the doctors and nurses have alot of exspirence and knowledge nothing compared to any other establishments. I thank God I cry to God. Thank you for leading me to northwell they found all the issues were minor and very treatable with a plan of action moving foward. & the food is gourmet chefs. Truly a blessing that I came here now I know what's going on by taking the time and the correct action. I can say I'm still alive today and looking forward to life after leaving northwell. DYC is truly an amazing place.
Our son has thrived here, and has grown and learned a great deal. The staff is very dedicated, and there is even a weekly parents group.
Our son is given responsibilities, and there are expectations and discipline. He loves his position as part of the landscaping crew, and there is a joyful anticipation to transfer to the next phase in Brooklyn.
He has been there for 13 months, and we both agree that it has changed our lives.

Very good staff, beautiful furniture, and amazing clients. Odyssey House provides teenagers, and adults the right, enjoyable care they rightfully deserve. Staff are glad to assist and will not disrespect you in any sort of way. Programs, Trips, and many other exciting activities will be provided during your visits. Snacks are provided for teens and for adults coffee and other nutritional snacks. Clients who attend "Odyssey House" can decided to come on time for group/individual sessions or earlier for game room or time alone for you to think.

Had an outpatient surgical procedure yesterday with my incredible surgeon, Dr William Samson and his wonderful PA, Courtney. Everyone I encountered at hospital was amazing. It was a packed house and yet everything ran super smoothly. Shout out to my anesthesiologist, Justin Lipper and all of the RNs, Kathleen, Rosanna, Sonia, Samantha, and Young, all of whom took such great care of me.

I just want to say that Bridge Back to Life is an AMAZING center for addiction recovery. I wouldn’t have been able to get clean without them and I mean that more than I could ever possibly express over the internet. They’re incredible. Their process, their staff, everything. They do whatever it takes to help you and that kind of refusal to give up on you can be the difference between life and death for an addict.

When I was in active use I had a partner who was also in active use and when he passed away unexpectedly I knew it was time for me to get sober. 4 months later I became a client at Realization Center and 4 months after that I stopped using.
