About Revive Therapeutic Services

Revive Therapeutic Services is a comprehensive outpatient mental health treatment center for adults and children. They’re located on North Main Street in Providence, Rhode Island. They specialize in the treatment of mental health conditions and may also treat co-occurring disorders including drug and alcohol addiction.

They have therapy for children 14 and older and for adults. They offer medication management for children eight and older and adults. They do not have medication management for children with ADHD.

They accept mental health insurance from many major insurance providers including Aetna, Cigna, TRICARE and others. Note that insurance doesn’t cover ADHD testing.

The treatment options for children include various types of therapy. Some of the therapies are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), individual therapy and family counseling. They can also collaborate with the child’s school. The earlier a child receives psychiatric help, the less likely they’ll develop mental health conditions later.

The center offers ADHD testing for children and adults. You can take the test online after completing a form on the website. After paying the fee you’ll receive a link which leads to the ADHD tests. It takes about one to two hours to take the tests. You’ll make a follow-up appointment to discuss the results with a doctor.

Genesight testing is available. This is a test that analyzes your response to medications for conditions like anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder. It’s also helpful for analyzing your body’s response to drugs for ADHD. The test helps the doctors identify the most useful drugs for your mental health. The test involves a swab of DNA collected from inside your mouth which is easy and quick. Many insurance providers cover the cost.

They offer most mental health services though it should be noted that this is not a substance use treatment center. Treating mental health issues especially in children and adolescents can help avoid future substance abuse issues.

Absolutely amazing!!!!! Finally found a therapist who actually listens, understands and cares about my concerns and willing to help me find alternative treatments instead of prescribing meds that don’t work and using me like a guinea pig like my former therapist

Accepted Insurance

Revive Therapeutic Services works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Clients who are stepping down from inpatient care and those who prefer to remain at home during treatment may choose to enroll in an outpatient rehab. These facilities offer a comprehensive continuum of care designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are designed for clients requiring frequent and high intensity treatment. Clients in outpatient care typically engage in individual, group, and family counseling and recovery-focused life skills training.

telehealth iconTelehealth

Telehealth practices in Rhode Island include virtual visits, chat-based interactions, remote patient monitoring (RPM), and technology-enabled modalities, such as consultations and patient data transmission. These methods offer increased convenience and efficiency for patients and providers.

Treatments

Many people with alcohol use disorder (AUD) can benefit from alcohol rehab in Rhode Island. This condition involves physical and psychological dependence on alcohol. Rehab programs combine medical and behavioral therapies to help you develop the necessary skills for maintaining a sober lifestyle.

In Rhode Island, dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs provide specialized care for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. These programs offer medically monitored detox, inpatient, and intensive outpatient. Treatment tends to include individual and group therapy, medication management, psychiatric care, recovery support meetings, and skills groups to simultaneously address both disorders.

Substance abuse treatment in Rhode Island is offered through drug and alcohol rehabs that provide comprehensive addiction treatment. These programs integrate evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), with vital educational resources, skill development, and counseling to help you reprogram unhelpful behaviors and learn new skills to manage your sobriety.

When addiction is present, a mental health disorder is usually present as well, which is known as dual diagnosis. Within addiction treatment facilities, it's extremely common to find instances of dual diagnosis. Treatment facilities tend to offer 24-hour access to medical and mental health staff, plus treatments that include individual and group counseling, addiction and relapse prevention education, and coping skills training. Family therapy and relationship counseling are often available as well.

Wasted YEARS on out of pocket medication management for illnesses that I was misdiagnosed on. Took medications that made me feel more tired and apathy. Medication management sessions for me would last 10-15 minutes instead of the scheduled hour, and I would still pay the $200 out of pocket. I would report "Nope, medications are still ineffective", get a slightly higher dose, and would check in A MONTH LATER for another session. I was placed on all the antidepressants possible, only to be taken off of them by my current provider without issues. Therapy did not assist me. It did not teach me any coping techniques except for deep breathing. Despite being able to hardly afford it, I did really enjoy just talking to my therapist, but had to pay $70 per session while struggling with my bills became difficult to balance. This practice has very good intentions, but would never work with me on payments. I would cancel days ahead, stating, "I'm sorry, I don't have the money to have a therapy appt this week so I need to cancel." I was never offered any assistance or payment plan to ensure I would still receive services. Most receptionists would state, "Ok how about next week?" Overall, I would recommend the practice if you have health insurance and have a low copay and are willing to wait months to years for an effective care plan. I had paid over $5,000 out of pocket over the time of being a patient and I can truly say it was a waste of money. I felt the same on medication vs without. I would like to believe I'm an outlier, hopefully.

Very responsive and extremely helpful in my mental health wellness and improvement journey. I have a Therapist (Alexander Hoy) that listens and challenges me, a psychiatrist (Christina Lewis) willing to improve my health, and people in the office have been nothing but kind and helpful. Use their services! I feel lucky with them that no matter how dark life gets, I have a great support team.
