About West Texas Counseling and Rehabilitation Program
This is a licensed medical detox clinic. Clients may walk in and sign up for treatment the same day. You must meet certain state criteria to qualify for medically assisted treatment. Then, the staff will begin to administer medication that’s designed to make detoxing from opioids easier.
The medicine you’re prescribed will depend on such factors as the type of opioid you’re addicted to and the length of time that you took that drug. Your age and medical history will also be taken into consideration. The staff will administer the medication as often as you need it. In many cases, this will be done daily. The staff will also administer drug tests when necessary. Eventually, you’ll be able to take the medications home.
If you receive medically assisted treatment you must also participate in group and individual therapy. Group therapy lets people discuss their issues with others who are going through the same thing. Individual therapy is customized for each person. The goal is always to encourage people to think differently to change destructive behavior.

I am so so profoundly sorry that Texans are stuck with this chain of clinics, and the cold woman running it is all you get. She doesn’t understand, respect, or really even care about addiction. I’m am honestly, truly, after my experience, at an absolute loss. Never in my entire life….nearly fifty years…come across a doctor so entitled and greedy and dishonest. Try two years of blaming COVID for refusing take homes….DUH aren’t we supposed to NOT be mingling together every day? Turns out we are to do what gets the doc paid more (daily dosing). Carla uses necessary medication to control vulnerable populations and I have no doubt she is looking to be paaiiiid ….don’t be her means to an end this is your life. Look elsewhere

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Levels of Care
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
Treatments
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Clinical Services
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
