This place was clean, respectable uplifting, healing, free to those who can’t afford it. This place was very informative to me when others were not. Did not have a bad experience in the very short time I dealt with them. Humphrey house is a place for the kids in our communtiy to go and be kept in their community and in the state. Families and youth have an opportunity to work together on their target goals together. Sometimes Humphrey House is often the better choice than the home for whatever reasons and that's just being honest. As always when looking at the whole picture you may not always get the answers and results you want but you get what you need. Humphrey house provides just that place that is needed even during the times it isn't wanted. It takes a village. And a village isn't perfect but they are willing to keep trying.

We stayed in the adobe house as the first guests and were stunned by the spacious and luxious touches throughout! The views are breathtaking and we felt so taken care of with the firewood and coffee available for our use! A nurse decided that she would hang up on me today because I let her know that she was exhibiting a very defensive attitude towards me. I was trying to reschedule an appointment that I had just noticed I missed yesterday. I wasn't blaming her but she apparently took it personal. I normally get a text and a call, I was not aware that those reminders are only in place when there are volunteers available. Whoever you are, you're probably having a bad day but understand that being condescending and rude it's not going to fix that and it will not make you feel better. It's a shame for the good, courteous and caring people I've had the chance to interact with while at this clinic because people like you make the whole place look bad.

I stayed in the adolescent unit for ten days and it actually helped me for the most part.Yeah there were days were I got triggered really bad but I think in the end that helped prepare me. Plus the techs ( April, Kamille and Portchia especially) were really helpful.

As vacations grow more expensive annually, the High Frontier offers an exceptional get away for a portion of the price you’d pay for five star treatment. High Frontier isn’t just a resort; it’s an experience, one where the landscape contributes mightily to the comfort of the stay. I was fortunate enough to stay in field house 2, which offers three bedrooms, one for my wife and I, two others for friends, and a couch comfortable enough for yet another person to sleep.
The buildings are lovely and extravagant—rustic outside and completely luxurious inside, with more amenities than I’ve come to expect from any residence. Each room has its own bathroom with huge walk in showers and the kitchens in the central area has all the cooking utensils imaginable, and gorgeous tile floors.
The mattresses encourage the most restful sleep imaginable; in fact, I usually have trouble sleeping away from home but the beauty of the environment and the peaceful field house cures insomnia.
But the real reason this is a perfect vacation spot has to do with the acres upon which the High Frontier is constructed. Incredible views of the massive Fort Davis mountains offers a backdrop you cannot find anywhere in these United States. And although you are near the McDonald observatory, you don’t really need to visit it because of the incredible night sky. I’ve never seen so many stars, and yeah, even the Milky Way graced those of us who chose to sit on the porch, by the pool, or enjoying the fire pit.
I can’t imagine a better choice of a vacation spot for true relaxation, five star accommodations, and a price that will not break the bank.
My visit to the High Frontier was revelatory. I know I will be back, and often. As a professional critic, I can assure you that the memories of your stay at the High Frontier will impact you long after your visit. I’ve rarely had such a relaxing time during any vacation, and that’s because the High Frontier is truly special. And while I stayed in Field House 2, all of the accommodations are equally beautiful. Whether you bring your family or just need a getaway by yourself, the High Frontier is one of the best vacation spots in the country,

The staff at Medmark are one of a kind. They all treat you with dignity, worth, and respect, from the receptionist at the front, to the counselors and dosing nurses, and even the program director. This was by far the best experience with a clinic and the staff are the reason why. Luis was my counselor and it was apparent from day one that he genuinely cared, he always went out of his way to accommodate my unusual schedule and in turn I made sure that I never missed my sessions with him he made my sessions entertaining and I learned a lot from them I will miss medmark and Luis. Went above & beyond. This is a great place to be if you're serious about your recovery. Utilize the options you have while you're here; counselors, psychiatry visits, cooking classes, house cleaning, fellowship and most importantly learning about the correlation between our minds and addiction and how we can improve our thinking patterns and develop a relationship with God in order to mitigate potential relapses due to emotional distress. You learn to deal with problems head-on instead of running away from them and turning to using substances as a coping mechanism, allowing you to overcome and not use your dire circumstances as excuses to drink/get high.
I had a great time here and I'm glad I got to meet everyone on my journey here.

I like to come here to get help for my depression and suicidal thoughts and some other problems that I have and the PNA’s did a really great job for keeping me safe for my stay there really nice and I haven’t had time to leave a good review for them this is the only place that I trust of me coming here for my mental health issues for now on if I need help and my name is Michael McCoin and I like to say thank you to all staff they do a good job
