As the parent of a loved one who is addicted to alcohol, I highly commend the services provided to him and to our whole family while he was a resident at Lighthouse Recovery in Dallas, Texas. Lighthouse provided a supportive environment and a treatment regimen that was individually tailored to his needs, his strengths, and his weaknesses. Even when he suffered setbacks, the staff continued to provide structure, support, and encouragement to succeed. During his time at Lighthouse, his case manager, Michael, provided regular updates on his progress in weekly phone calls to us family members, and he was always accessible when we had questions or concerns. Even when my son chose to leave Lighthouse so that he could resume drinking, the Lighthouse staff stayed in touch with him every day to make sure he was safe, and they eventually were able to persuade him to enter a long-term rehab program.

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you. When I came here fresh out of rehab, I was in a rough spot, and honestly, I didn’t know if I’d ever pull myself together. But you all took me in, gave me a place to get my head straight, and most importantly, you never gave up on me—even when I wasn’t making it easy.
You guys stuck by me through everything, and because of that, I’ve been able to grow into someone I never thought I could be. I’ve learned so much here, not just about staying sober but about being a better person—someone who’s responsible, who thinks before he acts, and who actually wants to build a real future. That means more than I can put into words.
The staff here is seriously amazing. Mike Jones, Michael Fowler, Frankie Gomez, Bryce Hand, Joshua Stoddard, and Brooke Keels—you guys are the backbone of this place. Each of you brings something different to the table, and together, you create a space where people like me get a real chance at a new life. You’re patient, you understand what we’re going through, and you actually care—which isn’t something you find everywhere.

As of now there’s only 1 nurse working & she’s doing a great job! The rest of the staff is great aswell and have always been very helpful if I’ve ever needed anything. To the one nurse that’s by herself, I feel bad for her but she’s doing what she can to make sure everyone gets taken care of & she’s doing an awesome job of it.

I absolutely love this clinic. They are so nice. This clinic has done everything possible to make the closing of my old clinic 4 yrs ago, so it was seemless and easy. I have stayed because I am completely comfortable. The counselors are so wonderful and nice. The cost is typical. They are even accepting Medicaid and Medicare. I am so happy I was able to transfer. I think I like this clinic the best out of the 3 others I have been to. Thank you Denton Treatment Services. You have been so wonderful.

I was put in there at 17 by my high school, and I was a little mad when they put me in impatient because I thought it was over the top just for some small thoughts, but after a week I came out knowing more information about myself, I got diagnosed with depression and anxiety, which I would have never known I had. I got the medication and information I needed to get better. I made friends and learned so much about myself! But I do agree with other reviews that the food did suck, but in the long run, that’s not what is important. Now as a college student I have learned to cope with my anxiety and I will be forever grateful to the nurses and doctors that helped me.

I want to give a big Thank You to such an amazing and caring staff at this great health institution. We were vacationing in this beautiful state when my wife became suddenly ill. The paramedics took my wife to this hospital and from there she was admitted, I knew right away that she was in good hands, everyone was kind and attentive towards my wife and to me. Honestly, I was so greatly impressed with the care and the attention. Not even in my home sate I've been treated so kindly. I had surgery for an ectopic Pregnacy last year in October and everyone was so compassionate and hands on they literally didn't miss a beat when it came to making sure my needs were met and that I was comfortable. I also have very small veins so it's always a hassle whenever I have to get blood drawn but not here ☺️ everyone was gentle and made it quick and easy which I appreciate very much . Everyone that works here really cares. I remember the first time my husband and I called AOH to find out about the program. Sonya was so nice to us. We needed that kindness in that moment. We were feeling pretty beat down and low. We called other clinics and chose this one purely because we were treated with kindness. Now over 2 years later, I can say this program saved my life. No risk of jail, no risk of infections, no risk of over doses, no getting sick because of unreliable sources.

I started treatment on January 4th 2025 which was the best decision of my life. This is my 3rd month sober and I have to say that it was mainly because of the effectiveness of this program. I want to thank the whole staff for their professionalism and commitment. The program will guide you through the steps needed to defeat your addiction as long as you’re honest with yourself and willing to put in the work. I want to say thank you to Sarah my therapist Tyler who coordinates the 12 step program, the other 2 Sarah’s, Mr Jones, all the nurses, techs and the awesome chefs that made every meal so delicious. Also special thanks to Miss Disco for the personal training sessions.

Well I got my self in a little bind I had to look for counseling in AA and NA for Help , I called around in my area couldn’t find a center where I could get Intensive outpatient help and was able to contact Sunshine Care Centers in Arlington Tx
I called and Mr David happened to answer the call, by the way Mr David, happened to be the Owner, I informed him my issued and informed him what I needed , he immediately asked for my information and insurance and told me he was going to verify insurance and he would call me back in 5-10 minutes ,I’m pleased to inform you he returned my call in5 minutes,asked me when did I want to begin well got incontact Thursday, and began my Intensive Outpatient Counseling appointment the following day on Friday
I met my Counselor Miss,Micheale Merriot, she is very understanding she walks with you through the whole process

I’m writing this review without any idea how to express my gratitude. Sunshine was not the first place I called to help my friend but they are the place that gave me hope that maybe he would finally have a chance. I had been trying for over 2 years to help my friend get to recovery and everytime there was a closed door at some point of the process.. Whether it be $$ or programs or people on the other end of the phone unwillingness to help. I came across Sunshine Care Center with absolute defeat written all over me by the time I called them.. and there it was someone willing to not only to be the only other person on my team but to help me navigate what to do who to call how to help my friend with his addiction. I can’t put into words how much it meant to me to find a center that is truly there to help people that cannot help themselves. Beautiful people that work here with beautiful hearts. From my Doctor Stone who Prayed for us before surgery. Starting in Triage. Austin and the female I can't remember her name. These two individuals are the best. Very curtious,respectful, and good at what they do. It's no doubt they are doing what they love. Dr. Patel and Tonya were the best they were very thorough and professional. Great at what they do. After the surgery woke up to another Wonderful experience. Mark,Paulina and everyone in recovery. WOW!! This Hospital has to be so proud of this staff,if ever staff member doesn't operate like this one. I mean everyone!! They should be training others. This should be how every patient should be treated when Lyn call me the next day Wonderful Customer Service and positive attitude. It was late in the day time to go home and was still in a great mood and you heard nothing buy good nature and a caring attitude like it was 9am and not 6pm. Wow!! Hats off to them all. God sent. My dad went here several times before he passed about 7 years ago. We had such a great experience, that when my mother-in-law needed rehab these last two weeks, we chose this place for her. It did not disappoint. Everyone on staff in this place is exceptional. The physical and occupational therapy she got there worked miracles for her. Justin and Edwin were just incredible, and she wanted me to make sure I mentioned them here. All the nurses were great as well, but there were too many to name. Dr. Barghava’s Clinic offers the insurance-covered protocol but also offers the rapid protocol that, to my knowledge, is not widely available yet, for those who choose to private pay. Virtually zero side effects (other than the inconvenience of scheduling 36 sessions) and rapid results - I highly recommend. VERY highly recommend.

I was held in unit 8 teens unit for 14 days it was the most miserable days of my life. I hated it here. The food sucked. There are so many rules and I was there for a odnot once. Did they talk? About suicide the weird group times then there’s stupid stupid rules honestly But I didn’t get Will say that I’m gonna have to be more respectful, but I’m just saying this please it’s good if you really want to change but unless you don’t and you’re just going here for fun of it, I wouldn’t recommend it but it’s really changed me

I read a lot of reviews and want to say my experience was nothing like all the negative comments and reviews! Upon arrival the receptionist Vivian was polite, emphatic, and very sweet. I was a wreck being my first time bringing my child in she made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I noticed she was doing 100 things at one time and she still managed to be polite even tho other patients and circumstances around us were rough. She handled everything like a pro. The overall experience was good and they helped my child. Thank you to the hospital and staff. For everyone crying about the waiting time please be realistic there’s not one hospital in this planet where you can get in and out everything is a process!

I spent almost 2 months in residential treatment here and back then i believe that it was positive learning experience. every day we stayed in some type of class or group activity. attended NA and AA weekly. was taught the 12 steps. spent christmas here in 1999. new years as well. Y2K. thought all the lights were gonna go off that night. but i was still a knuckle head. smoked cigarettes in the bathroom. hid snacks in my window and was kicked out because my room mate was stiffing finger nail polish and i didnt report it. 25 years ago today there were good people that worked there. if your kids dont learn anything here its because they didnt listen or didnt care cause they give you lots of tool and info.

i would like to start off by saying tyrc is a good program i went last year right before summer and i learned so much i love the staff to this day im apart of the lgbtq community(gay) and they went above and beyond for me to be successful in the program however it will be alot you wil go through things they will not baby you when they say you can leave at anytime you cant unless you want a warrant out for your arrest they have a game room,basketball court,gym,GROUPS they have all types of groups therapy,AA,NA,spiritual,free time theirs so much but so little its so many good memories but soo hard to let go of what you think you need

New Vision Counseling has been an amazing experience for me. I have seen 3 therapists and am blown away by the gentle kindness and curiosity each person has treated me with.
I began with a search for marriage counseling and was seeking a highly positively reviewed option and found that here with JannaClaire, who was interning at the time. During our couple sessions, she recommended I look into trauma therapy with Morgan. She explained the technique Morgan was specialized in called Emotional Transformation Therapy which utilizes a color board and accessing parts of the brain through eye movement. It sounded confusing, but I was open to anything that could help.
The first conversation with Morgan about my concerns in accessing trauma that I don't remember left me in tears. Not because it was scary, but because she was so confident that this approach would be helpful and that I didn't need to "know" everything for it to be useful. I felt for the first time that I wouldn't be a burden or too confusing for someone. Morgan is exactly what I needed at a very confusing and painful chapter in my life and I am beyond grateful for all the things that led me to her.
My husband and I also transitioned to seeing Josh for marriage counseling. Josh has been a devoted coach from the beginning and cheers us on in every session. He has been committed to teaching us the tools necessary to navigate intimate relationships and the unavoidable conflicts that surface in marriage.
We are truly blessed to have this team. New Vision Counseling will also have a goal for you to graduate from therapy. They are not interested in keeping you dependent on your relationship with them. They collectively want to see you thrive on your own and it shows in all the ways they support you on your journey.
