highly recommend this treatment center to anyone struggling with substance abuse or mental health challenges. I admitted my mom for depression and addiction, and this place not only gave her the tools she needed to rebuild her life, but also helped her work through deep-rooted trauma. She had an incredible experience and came out a renewed, joyful, and peaceful version of herself—something I haven’t seen in a very long time.

Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much.
Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone.

Sage Recovery and Wellness Center is truly a healing place. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the peace and care that went into creating such a beautiful environment. The property itself is stunning — from the pool and hot tub to the cozy spaces throughout the villa (which feels more like a luxury home than a facility).
The daily schedule may look full at first, but it’s so thoughtfully structured. Over time, you start building healthy habits and routines that carry into your everyday life after you leave. Some of my favorite parts were equine therapy at the Healing Horses Ranch (the staff there are amazing!), accudetox, yoga, and personal training. Everything is designed to help you reconnect with yourself and appreciate the little things again.
The villa is gorgeous — spacious, peaceful, and filled with comforts like books to read, a beautiful kitchen, and incredible chef-made meals. But what truly makes Sage special is the staff. They don’t just show up for you — they get down in the trenches with you. They listen, they care, and they help guide you out of the darkness with compassion and understanding.
The clients I met there became like family. Everyone is going through something, and it’s so powerful to feel seen, supported, and understood in that way. The therapists and curriculum are absolutely life-changing — I learned so many coping skills that I use every day.
I am beyond grateful for my time at Sage. It was one of the most transformative experiences of my life, and I genuinely believe they saved my life. If you’re ready to work on yourself and heal, this is the place to do it. 💛

Look, I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. They have been a literal life saver. I have been an iv/im heroin/fent user for 20 years now. I’ve been on methadone before and it’s always worked. I moved out this way to help take care of my father who is very ill. I was recently released from prison and relapsed upon my release. The main receptionist Debbie got me in right away, they got me funding to help pay for my medication. My counselor Anissa. (God I hope I got her name right) has been so kind and helpful. I recently had to rush my dad to the transplant hospital in San Antonio bc he had a blood clot dislodge and go to his lungs. I didn’t bring my id or anything. The staff at Cms got me guess dosed here in San Antonio and I am just so grateful for them. Don’t hesitate to go. Just go in and get it done and stay focused. If nothing else works for you and you’re a serious opiate addict. Methadone will work. Take it from somebody who’s went to war with my addiction. Just take the medicine and get some structure. Good luck.

Summary first: If you need treatment and are ready to follow a couple of very simple rules, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! I don’t care if u have to drive 30 miles, go here! This has BY FAR been the best experience I’ve had during my treatment! I have called 3 clinics my home over the years and this one is SO genuine!
Anissa: you’ve been nothing short of fantastic. Literally anytime I needed something, you promptly prepped all documentation and worked with me every step of the way. Our councilor visits always feel genuine, you treat me like a human being and it’s obvious you want only the best for the patients you take care of. Thank you for everything you have done for me!
Debby: you are so sweet and are always so kind. I overhear your interactions with the patients you check in and you always treat them with respect and work with them as much as you can if they run into an issue that you can take care of.
The nursing staff, (I apologize I’m horrible with names) Especially within the last 3 months are quick to dose, accurate and the sweet woman who usually doses window 2 on Mondays is extremely knowledgeable and is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. This wonderful woman reminds me of my best friend’s Mother, extremely sweet, dignified, tidy, proper proud country girl ready for anything and always has her hair done right! My best friend would probably say “she comes to work lookin’ Tuff!”
Yet again, another genuine person who only wants the best for the patients she sees.
Best part, when blood is needed to be drawn, she makes it completely painless! This is coming from someone with TINY veins. ( I know that sounds silly, but I’ve been to clinics where your arm and finger tips come out with more than a few punctures)
The Doctor who oversees everything here believes in the process. This review is really long but in short, he made me feel safe. I felt like I could tell him anything and he always replied with care and would do anything he could to help. I won’t go into details. But he is the type of doctor you HOPE to get when you’re at your lowest.
Management: what can i say without repeating myself. The clinic would not be what it is if you weren’t running the ship! The counselors you’ve hired are top notch. You go above and beyond for anyone who simply follows the rules. It’s very uncommon to have such a well rounded staff and you must’ve gone through Hundreds of applications to get the team you have here.

SARC saved my life. My life had become unmanageable and was spiraling out of control. I was still working my full time successful career, but it was only a matter of time before I could have lost everything I’ve spent my life building. Tired of waking up with a black box of wine on my nightstand I threw lord knows what into my suitcase and checked into Cagnon for 38 days. For a girl accustomed to being in complete control I was petrified. I was a mess. The staff was so welcoming and walked me through the process. Was I ready to take 12 weeks off of work? It was life or death and I chose life. The detox process was tough. Reba and Alan made me as comfortable as I could be. I had sweats and nightmares. Roy, a lead counselor calmed me down. My job for 5 days was sleep, hydrate and rest. Gen the program Director Is fabulous. She kept assuring me trust in the process. Allow myself time to heal, grieve and let someone take care of me for once. The days are very structured with wellness, nutrition, groups, education, counseling. Nutrition and routine and self discipline are key. We have one job while in treatment. Show up!! It’s impossible not to learn, grow and learn valuable tools and coping skills to set you up for a lifetime of sobriety. All counselors know your name and your case. They are always available to lend an ear and advice. The center is staffed with people in long term recovery. Richard, Steven, Blake, Jess, Mandy Jo all have real life experience , Every night there is an AA meeting and fellow patients can meet in groups to do book study, talk and truly become a recovery family. This is a private facility that works with many insurance companies and helps people who need to make arrangements for private pay. The setting is serene and a wonderful place to heal. Gen, Roy and Paula are true experts in their field. Each with their own individual techniques and special touches to group sessions. I am for ever indebted to the techs, counselors and Karen and Raul Ruelas for their relentless passion in fighting for those struggling with substance abuse disorder to live a long happy life free of drugs and alcohol. World class facility. Amazing caring people who pour their heart and sole into what they do. Run don’t walk!! Jackie should be stripped of her license. She used her position to look up my information and called me at 6:50am in California. This woman has ZERO business running a recovery facility. She heckled me and was relentless on the phone. I filed a grievance with State and against her. So sad she’s in charge. Place went downhill after Karen and Raul sold. Tragic. Go to New Day or SOBA. She’s a disgrace to the recovery community!! Do not go there.

I first went to the in patient 30 day facility in Spicewood TX and that place was phenomenal!! They give you everything you need to be successful once out in the real world. I am now in Steve’s IOP class and actually look forward to every meeting. There is so much to learn and he has the knowledge to teach it for sure. This was an amazing experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming and understanding. The counselor (Steve) is one of the most knowledgeable and sincere people I've ever had the privilege to meet and learn from. He welcomes all who are willing to put in the work to improve their lives and help others do the same. This is a safe and judgment-free environment that will not only help you and your loved ones understand the daily struggles of addiction, but will also teach you to understand and appreciate those around you in your day-to-day life. I was able to get off by taking showers 7 a day and using the jacuzzi at golds gym. Yes sometimes you stay up at night but just take another shower Also drinking water and milk help to and reading the Bible. This treatment facility actually have people working there that care. The staff will go above and beyond to get u the help u need or the resources u need. Reagan is a counselor and she’s new but learning FAST. I’m glad I got her as my counselor bc if I need something she does her best to find the resources I need. The wait times can be long and frustrating but it’s not their fault they go as fast as they can to get through the line quickly. I catch 4 buses to come to this clinic. I leave my house at 6am and don’t get home sometimes till 11pm. Bc of the bus service it’s crazy but I like it here.

I went to Starlight to get help for my addiction brought on by ptsd. I was told by them they had a great program for this specifically. Upon arrival I found they have no program for this. At 3 am I was victimized by a nurse. The following day I spoke with the director of counseling. “We know you were a victim, we are reprimanding the staff member. However maybe it’s a positive thing that you victimized!”. This place is a dump. During my stay I had to twice be moved due to unlivable conditions. There is no pool, there is in outdated gym that you can use if they get enough staff that day. I will say that the techs were amazing and compassionate.

My son was at this facility. At first I had a few little issues with some of the staff but learned my son was the issue not the staff. The 2 staff members I dealt with the most were Crystal and Austin and I have the upmost respect for them they both had went above and beyond to try to help my son with his issues and he ended up needing to go to a more strict facility and Austin and Crystal went above and beyond to find a facility that could help him better and Crystal went above and beyond and took time out of her busy day to take him to that facility so I didn’t have to drive for 2 days to get there to take him. I am forever grateful for everything Austin and Crystal have done to get my son the help he needs.

1991 I was there for10 months. When I first got there I wanted to runaway , I hated being there. By the 3 month I finally stopped resisting working the program, by the time I knew it they where wanting me discharged because I had progressed so well. I didn't want to leave. It's because of this place I can honestly say saved my life. I went from having thorizine shots to being on a silver level.

Of course this is an adult daycare because you couldn't take care of yourself as old as you are.
Many patients go in there and then come out rating this place low and saying negative things. Well if you think about it, your lucky period for even having anyone trying to help you at all. No this is not a luxury place where they will pamper you... absolutely not. You want more out of life. Please, go hug your parents and if you have none, remember there is plenty of other ways to make it through. Remind yourself and be grateful you have legs that got you there...eyes to see ....fingers that work as you type your review. People need to be strong. My niece was recently discharged and our family is forever grateful for the help we received here. Although no one wants to be in a mental health crisis, this is something that does happen to real people. Without help so many people would be left in despair. I got sober in residential treatment. But I learned how to stay sober in sober living. Living at Hyde Park mens for 8 months is the main reason I’m 4 years sober today. This place provided the structure and support I needed when transitioning back to the “real” world. Leaving inpatient can be extremely tough. You hit the pause button on your life for a bit but then you find yourself thrown right back into the fold. Nothing has changed except for you. It was in the Arbor’s sober living that I really got to put what I learned into practice. And when I got off course, I had an entire community to help get me back on the right track. I will be forever grateful for my experience with this house.

Every time I have visited the clinic, the staff are professional, courteous, and welcoming. My wait time has always reasonable and (knock wood) I see no reason why that should change. Good looking building and office space. Free parking with front and rear access. Clean bathrooms. People in waiting room respect each others space and privacy. Inside the patient rooms are clean and equipment functions well. I would not trade my PPO for the world - he is a veteran and has compassion, understanding, and tolerance that civilian medical professionals just don't get.

I went her twice for depression and intrusive thoughts Mr. Eric and Ms.Geo (sorry if I didn't spell ur name right) are very helpful and ask what you're pronouns are so you're treated like family! I'm a former patient I'm 30 now I was in-patient form 17 yr old to 18 I ended my stent as a phase 3 motivator. for some reason I was thinking about my time at phoenix austin it was a growing experience I was an involuntary patient, a nudge from a judge but I'm glad I went met some awesome and interesting kids and the staff was amazing. I took my daughter here for some severe trauma issues that she was finally ready to deal with. The first week I talked to her I could tell somethings weren't right. I simply had hope, but everything in my gut said otherwise. My daughter had to leave to a suicide unit, they were too strict and didn't provide the professional help we had in the past. They made things even worse and now we have to start from ground zero after we had made so much progress. They said they would have a third party assess whether she could stay or not then they forced her out! After an already traumatic couple of years and the loss of another $2,500.00 to another facility using our hurt babies for there gain.
If you daughter was truly traumatized please safe yourself, time, money and heartache.

highly recommend this treatment center to anyone struggling with substance abuse or mental health challenges. I admitted my mom for depression and addiction, and this place not only gave her the tools she needed to rebuild her life, but also helped her work through deep-rooted trauma. She had an incredible experience and came out a renewed, joyful, and peaceful version of herself—something I haven’t seen in a very long time.
The staff is genuinely caring and compassionate, and even the owners took the time to personally support us throughout the process. It’s clear that everyone here truly cares about the work they do. Fullbrook made a lasting impact on my mom and our entire family. I am deeply grateful to every person who works there and could never thank all of you enough.
