La Hacienda Treatment Center is an elite residential addiction rehab in Hunt, Texas. This facility sits on a 40 acre campus in the Texas Hill Country. It is surrounded by rugged hills of limestone covered by wildflowers, live oak and juniper trees. Immersing yourself in this natural setting seems like the perfect recipe for addiction recovery. R | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Words could never express my appreciation for the team at La Hacienda. The buildings are older than I expected, but the love and treatment there is state of the art. The time spent there will put you or your love one on the right track to the life you are seeking. It is like an extended family reunion of support each week, where joys are celebrated and those experiencing set backs are supported. Our family will always appreciate and be thankful for La Ha.

This is my first ever negative review but after reading Stephanie’s review, I also wanted to make my experience with Corey known. Corey, the social worker, should not be allowed to continue working here as I was not the only veteran who had an issue with him. Both males and females have had problems with him in the past, but as Stephanie said, I also felt he was sexist against females. In my case, he put false information into my record that contradicts what was in my civilian and military medical records. The psychiatrist, who never saw me, gave me a diagnosis based off of false information. I am a retired 1SG and a female veteran of nearly 21 years of service and Corey treated me like trash, interrupting me constantly when I tried to speak, and he went out of his way to try to prove I was lying about my problems. I am fortunate I have Tricare and found a therapist who actually listened to me outside the VA. I am fortunate my civilian doctor found out what was wrong with me and treated me appropriately.

"I recently completed a 35-day residency at Fullbrook recovery center, and I can confidently say it was the best decision I've ever made. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported in an environment that understood the complexities of addiction and trauma.
The staff at Fullbrook were nothing short of amazing. Their expertise and compassion made all the difference in my recovery journey. The variety of programs offered—ranging from individual therapy sessions, small process groups and group activities—helped me unpack my experiences and develop healthy coping strategies.
Over the course of my stay, I experienced profound personal growth. I learned valuable tools to manage my triggers and built a strong support network with fellow residents. The program not only addressed my addiction but also provided a safe space to heal from past traumas.
I whole heartedly recommend Fullbrook Recovery Center to anyone seeking help. The compassionate care and comprehensive programs they offer truly changed my life, and I am now on a path to a healthier, happier future."

Love the staff at Kerrville VA, all the way from house cleaning, volunteers, maintenance staff to clerks and medical staff. "Hi, hello, how are you" are heard often in the hallways. I'm seen on the Pink Team and I could not get better care and treatment from clerks to medical providers. The Optometry clinic is small but never an issue getting an appointment. The clerk acknowledges patients quickly. Optometrists are very through. The eye glass department has a very knowledgeable staff, good selection of frames and staff is well trained to help pick the right frame for the right face.

SARC saved my life. My life had become unmanageable and was spiraling out of control. I was still working my full time successful career, but it was only a matter of time before I could have lost everything I’ve spent my life building. Tired of waking up with a black box of wine on my nightstand I threw lord knows what into my suitcase and checked into Cagnon for 38 days. For a girl accustomed to being in complete control I was petrified. I was a mess. The staff was so welcoming and walked me through the process. Was I ready to take 12 weeks off of work? It was life or death and I chose life. The detox process was tough. Reba and Alan made me as comfortable as I could be. I had sweats and nightmares. Roy, a lead counselor calmed me down. My job for 5 days was sleep, hydrate and rest. Gen the program Director Is fabulous. She kept assuring me trust in the process. Allow myself time to heal, grieve and let someone take care of me for once. The days are very structured with wellness, nutrition, groups, education, counseling. Nutrition and routine and self discipline are key. We have one job while in treatment. Show up!! It’s impossible not to learn, grow and learn valuable tools and coping skills to set you up for a lifetime of sobriety. All counselors know your name and your case. They are always available to lend an ear and advice. The center is staffed with people in long term recovery. Richard, Steven, Blake, Jess, Mandy Jo all have real life experience , Every night there is an AA meeting and fellow patients can meet in groups to do book study, talk and truly become a recovery family. This is a private facility that works with many insurance companies and helps people who need to make arrangements for private pay. The setting is serene and a wonderful place to heal. Gen, Roy and Paula are true experts in their field. Each with their own individual techniques and special touches to group sessions. I am for ever indebted to the techs, counselors and Karen and Raul Ruelas for their relentless passion in fighting for those struggling with substance abuse disorder to live a long happy life free of drugs and alcohol. World class facility. Amazing caring people who pour their heart and sole into what they do. Highly recommend if your looking for a program that treats the total individual and follows up on you for life. Love you all for all you did for me. XoXo D.
Run don’t walk!! Jackie should be stripped of her license. She used her position to look up my information and called me at 6:50am in California. This woman has ZERO business running a recovery facility. She heckled me and was relentless on the phone. I filed a grievance with State and against her. So sad she’s in charge. Place went downhill after Karen and Raul sold. Tragic. Go to New Day or SOBA. She’s a disgrace to the recovery community!! Do not go there.

For free health care, I don’t know why I complain. Probably because I'm a salty lil Karen who can barely get out of bed and when I do; I'm mad 😂 I've been to several VAs and Shavano typically completes everything I ask for help with, even if it takes forever. And I really like Dr K.
Overall with VA healthcare, or pretty much anything nowdays; being direct and asking for what you need WITH UNLIMITED PATIENCE gets the best results.
***ORIGINAL POST***
I've been seeing my Shavano Park team since October, and I like the location and staff. Dr K is great. Today there was some hub-bub with the fire department and I was forgotten about in the waiting room and ended up having to be there a few extra hours😂 The pros to this was the waiting room was comfortable, the staff was funny and I got to get halfway through my new library book. The only suggestion I would make would be maybe some feng shui (zen water fountain and tranquil pictures perhaps?) and coffee station/healthy snacks for the waiting room.

I’ll never stop giving this place it’s do credit. I’ve been to many different clinics. Many of them were in nicer areas than this one. Some of them had counselors with more education, who made more money, with patients who are in a higher income bracket, and, maybe even a nicer accommodations. But I have never been treated with more respect. I have never been supported in my sobriety, the same way, I have never experienced counselors who go out of their way as much. I have never experienced a Director who tries as hard as the Director does here. Even the Doctor Who the last I heard, was here two days a week for two hours each day, would always greet me by miss and my last name. They go into their own pocket to buy things to make the patients here more comfortable knowing that they’ll never see any praise from him more than likely and that a lot of times people will still take out their frustrations on them. Methadone isn’t a perfect answer for everybody. It may not be the right answer for you. But if you’re tired of the life, and you’re willing to try, and you want to make it work, this place really could be your saving grace don’t judge a book by its cover. Every clinic has their issues. The patients here may seem a little more rough around the edges, but I promise you there’s a lot of compassion to be shared here and there’s always someone to talk to you if you’re waiting in line.

San Antonio, Texas | Rise Recovery’s Charlie Naylor Campus is located in San Antonio, Texas. It’s an addiction and mental health treatment facility that has helped young adults and families overcome drug and alcohol addictions for more than 40 years. Young adults seeking recovery from substance use disorders can take advantage of the clinic’s Youth Recovery | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My daughter attended Rise Inspire Academy for 2½ years and graduated in 2025. We were referred to the program by a close friend who works in the recovery community, and I'm truly grateful for that connection. Rise made a meaningful impact in my daughter’s life. She began her journey to recovery in 2023, and today, she’s the only clean and sober student in her graduating class. That speaks volumes about her commitment — and the support she received.
Throughout her time there, my daughter was offered counseling, coaching, and a safe place to heal and grow. The program isn’t magic, and it’s not easy. But for students who are ready to put in the work, it can work. The staff includes some very kind, devoted individuals who truly care about the kids they serve. For that, I’m thankful.
However, my experience as a parent was mixed. I found communication with the staff to be somewhat lacking. It often felt like they were focused entirely on my child — which is important — but I also felt left out of the loop and that my feedback was not always welcomed or acknowledged. That made things challenging at times.
One concern I want to raise is how my daughter was led to believe she had a chance to work at the school after graduation. She went through the process of creating a recovery plan, submitting a resume, and even had an interview with the director, Evita. But in the end, nothing came of it, with no clear explanation. I can’t help but feel this decision may have been influenced by my own willingness to speak up about certain safety concerns and the need for stronger leadership. That was disappointing, especially after the growth and hard work my daughter had shown.
Despite the challenges, I do strongly recommend Rise Inspire Academy to families with teens struggling with substance abuse. This school offers a life-changing opportunity for young people — but it requires effort, honesty, and a desire to change. For those who are ready, this program can be the turning point.

I attended this treatment for outpatient and I was only able to be there for a few days due to some personal issues, but I will never forget the compassion, and genuine kindness , and such willingness to help me. It was a blessing during such a terrible time in my life. Thank you for your help. The scenery was beautiful, and the meals were delicious. The staff was phenomenal. The groups and activities were helpful , and fun. I highly recommend this center to anyone who is interested in getting better.

Alcohol was absolutely going to kill me, had I not found Blue Heron Recovery! From the first day, (although terrified not knowing what to expect) I felt very welcomed and safe. The facility is in a beautiful location surrounded by nature. I never felt a "hospital or jail" vibe. There is a brand new detox center and outpatient treatment available. They also incorporate yoga and meditation classes throughout the week. Heather and Lisa are AMAZING and truly care about each clients recovery. The staff work really hard to make the environment safe, fun, and healing. My therapist, Jim, is a super cool guy who treats everyone with respect which makes it easier to talk about difficult things. I owe much of my success to Jim! The owners Dr. Christina and Dr. Paul Mayer are some of the nicest people I've met and are frequently on-site teaching classes or engaging with clients. I have a long way to go, but my life as a whole is significantly better since completing the outpatient program at Blue Heron! I would highly recommend Blue Heron Recovery to anyone even considering getting help for addiction.

I went to alumni last week to get my 1 year sobriety coin and it was my first visit in about 6 months, and what a total disappointment this has become !
Only 2 people spoke the entire time, not even asking if anyone else would like to share, which I had planned on doing, and I'm not joking when I say that both of their speeches was reminiscing about how much fun they had when they were on drugs or alcohol.
The meeting ran over by almost 30 minutes because both of them took so long, and to make it even worse, they didn't even have any 1 year sobriety coins !!
Bring Priscilla back !
It was a wonderful recovery place when I attended, now it's a JOKE !
Waste of my time, never going back!
I feel sorry for the inpatient people that were there because that alumni meeting did absolutely nothing to help them !
