Among the services offered are mental health, and behavioral care, including addiction treatment. Kerrville Health Care System in South Texas is a center that provides primary care and other medical support | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I have been at VA Kerrville since 2018, although many issues with the entire STVA system I enjoy being out here. I have had my same healthcare team and used the same patient advocate since and because I advocate for my self using the tools the VA has given is the only reason I think my Health care is decent enough. Community care in the South Texas Hill country is slow but I prefer my PCP/PCM (Pink Team) over Audi Murphy (felt like cattle going to slaughter) any day. I just moved back to my home of record in SA and I will choose to drive out to Kerrville VA. The Lab, X-ray and Cantina are excellent compared with others as far as customer service and knowledge goes in my experience.

I have been receiving care here for four years and have been satisfied with my care. The nurses and doctors are attentive, caring and competent. If you have questions, bring a list so you don't forget anything important. Appointments have minimal waiting time, and prescriptions are sent to my home.

Love the staff at Kerrville VA, all the way from house cleaning, volunteers, maintenance staff to clerks and medical staff. "Hi, hello, how are you" are heard often in the hallways. I'm seen on the Pink Team and I could not get better care and treatment from clerks to medical providers. The Optometry clinic is small but never an issue getting an appointment. The clerk acknowledges patients quickly. Optometrists are very through. The eye glass department has a very knowledgeable staff, good selection of frames and staff is well trained to help pick the right frame for the right face.

Delivered my first baby here, May 30! Absolutely wonderful experience, the L&D unit is something NCBH has perfected. The nurses were diligent, and precise at their job but also warm and friendly. The OBGYN that delivered was very knowledgeable, direct, and great at her job. Postpartum was a good experience. Lots of learning happened and 9 times out of 10 the staffing was great.
HOWEVER:
Where NCBH NEEDS to improve:
Train your desk workers/paper work people on bedside manner ASAP! We were 4 hours post delivery, so 2hrs postpartum, I’m trying to learn breast feeding, dealing with the baby, etc. very exposed, and their financial department guy (maybe 20’s-30’s male) awkwardly knocks, comes right in with his clipboard and starts rattling off the bill and how much we owe with insurance and if we can make a payment now or with the hospital soon… excuse me? I’m completely vulnerable and exposed, just had a huge life milestone and I’m no where near mentally capable of processing the payment method right now. It was just very awkward timing.
Quite a few times the paperwork people side of the hospital just barges in and has no regard for privacy or announcing who it is until they’re half way in. Thankfully the pediatrician pulled the curtain and actually had amazing bedside manner, announcing themselves and letting me cover up for some privacy.
When it comes to discharging, they are quick. There’s no time for questions etc. it feels like. It could’ve just been our discharge nurse at the time but we felt very rushed. Everyone else was very excellent.
Lastly, CAR SEATS?! It’s a whole hospital that has all these offices, care teams, baby classes, breast feeding education, but they can’t have one CPST around?! They basically say “we don’t want to be liable so look up a YouTube video for the car seat is my recommendation”
Why not have a CPST or two around? The hospital is missing profit here, they could hold car seat safety classes too. Seems like another swing and miss from that aspect.
So overall, I’d deliver here again but be more assertive and protect my privacy and bonding moments more.

| Alpha 180 in Austin, Texas, health is a behavioral health organization that offers mental health and substance use disorder treatment. The facility is conveniently located in the downtown area. Clients can receive treatment services such as outpatient addiction treatment and the transitional living program. Recovery Services For Young Men The facil | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. But from the very first phone call, the staff made us feel supported and heard. The intake process was smooth, and they took the time to carefully explain every step of the program, ensuring we were fully informed and comfortable moving forward.
The team of counselors, therapists, and support staff is exceptional. They truly understand the challenges young people face and have a unique ability to connect with teens in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. My son has made incredible progress, thanks to their individualized approach that takes into account not only the addiction itself, but also the emotional, psychological, and social factors that contribute to it.
What stands out most about this center is their holistic approach. They don’t just treat the addiction—they work on building self-esteem, coping strategies, and life skills that are crucial for long-term success. The therapists created a safe space for my son to open up, express his feelings, and rebuild trust. It’s clear that the staff genuinely care about the well-being of their patients and their families.
The outpatient program was tailored to my son's needs, allowing us to balance treatment with school and other activities. The center also encourages family involvement and offers parental support and therapy, which has been crucial for my understanding and support of my son's recovery journey.
The progress I've seen in my teenager over the past few months is remarkable. Not only has he shown an improved attitude toward his recovery, but I've also noticed a significant positive shift in his overall mood and outlook on life. We are beyond grateful to Alpha for giving our family hope and helping my teenager reclaim his future.
If you're looking for a compassionate, professional, and effective treatment program for a young person struggling with addiction, I wholeheartedly recommend Alpha 180. They truly saved my son and gave us the tools we need to continue on this journey together.

| Addiction & Psychotherapy Services (Aeschbach & Associates) has been serving the greater Austin area since 1982. We are a private clinic that provides services to opiate-addiction/multiple diagnosis patients. Since 1982, we provide comprehensive opioid addiction treatment to the greater Austin area. We specialized in treatment of complica | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Good people, invaluable service provided. Very legit (non-sketch).
[EDIT/UPDATE] Well, it’s been 5 years since I posted the brief review seen above, and I feel like both this clinic AND me deserve something of an update.
I am still a patient of the clinic’s, albeit a patient whose chaotic and life-threatening issues with opiate addiction thankfully have been thoroughly tamed. While Google Reviews isn’t the appropriate venue to detail the grittier personal details encompassed within an individual case of opiate addiction disorder, I will share without hesitation the undeniable reality that without the service of professionally compassionate treatment of the addiction nightmare which first brought me to their doorstep, I would not be alive and able to compose the review you’re now reading.
How very happy I AM here today, able to talk about this treatment and the improvements to and gains made in my life, none of which would have been remotely possible without the service provided by this clinic. Relationships shattered by the damage wrought by addiction have been repaired. My apartment becomes a nicer and more enjoyable place to call home with each passing year as I replace belongings that I sold or traded for drugs in the past and add new ones I never had the chance to enjoy “back then.”
It’s easier to look in the mirror now that I put on new, clean clothes that
I like to wear, instead of rummaging through piles of tattered threads, searching for the least dirty garments I first got from donation bins and the like. My self-esteem grows each passing day. I no longer avert my eyes from those of the people I encounter.
I no longer find myself having to constantly look over my proverbial shoulder, worried that the people I know will steal my belongings at the first opportunity they see to do so. I no longer find myself incarcerated, wondering what lunkheaded thing I did to land myself there while I was, no doubt, blacked-out thanks to some atrociously dangerous combination of opiates, benzodiazepines, and anything else I might have imbibed while barking at the moon. Good grief, am I ever glad that those days seem finally to be behind me.
One more killer perk which I suspect just might appeal to someone out there: I haven’t been dope-sick—or, I suppose I ought to say “in withdrawal”—not even once since the first day I began treatment.
Not.
Even.
Once.
So, if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, do yourself a gigantic, merciful favor by picking up the phone and giving these fine folks a ringy-dingy-ding. You could literally change your life today. Never have I regretted my decision to do so.
One love… ✌️

I came to Omega more broken than I ever imagined was possible. After 6 years of trauma after trauma I was broken shell of myself. I lost 3 brothers to drug OD, one was on Christmas morning in my home. I was suffering from severe depression, anxiety, disassociation and alcoholism. I tried my best on my own for a year going to AA and intensive therapy but was not getting any better. After a year of trying on my own I found Omega. I started in the commuter program but was struggling. It was suggested that I move into the house. I was completely against the idea. I am a mom how could I leave my kids?? The staff took the time to talk with me about my fears. How could I not get the help I so desperately needed, I took leap of faith. I moved into the house 2 days before Christmas. This program saved my life. I was diagnosed with CPTSD. I had been on medications that were making everything worse. I’m so grateful to the staff for helping me get the correct diagnosis and on the right medication’s. It wasn’t easy. I was tested in many different ways. The program mimics challenges you will face in everyday life. This program will teach you how to face challenges in healthy ways. Most importantly you will learn about yourself, and why you behave certain ways. If you embrace the hard moments and search yourself you WILL learn a better way. At omega and with any program your attitude and what you put into it is what you will get out of it. They provide you with all of tools it’s up to you to use them. Embrace the hard. Get uncomfortable. The day I was deciding to come into the house one of the techs Jackson told me that the hard and the uncomfortable is how you grow. It’s what pushes you to the next level. In 6 short weeks I have grown more than I ever imagined possible. Omega is unlike any other program in Austin. I highly recommend it for mental health or addiction issues of any kind. You are worth it. Take a leap of faith. Embrace the hard. Embrace the uncomfortable.

I went to alumni last week to get my 1 year sobriety coin and it was my first visit in about 6 months, and what a total disappointment this has become !
Only 2 people spoke the entire time, not even asking if anyone else would like to share, which I had planned on doing, and I'm not joking when I say that both of their speeches was reminiscing about how much fun they had when they were on drugs or alcohol.
The meeting ran over by almost 30 minutes because both of them took so long, and to make it even worse, they didn't even have any 1 year sobriety coins !!
Bring Priscilla back !
It was a wonderful recovery place when I attended, now it's a JOKE !
Waste of my time, never going back!
I feel sorry for the inpatient people that were there because that alumni meeting did absolutely nothing to help them !

It all started at SARC! 2 yrs ago i reached out to the San Antonio Recovery Center to help my relative with an addiction problem. The website talked about detox & rehab programs…I didn’t know the difference but I quickly learned we needed both! I also learned it takes a village to help a love one manage their addition: medical team, the member, and their support system (family & friends). My brother completed both detox and a 90 day rehab. I would like to say he was cured…but it takes commitment and perseverance. Today my relative is living his best life…over 1 year drug free, and it all started at SARC!
If you or someone you know is battling with addiction problems, please pick up the phone and commit to the SARC.

You can find this place in San Marcos, Texas right next to Bobcat Stadium. San Marcos Treatment Center is a residential program and helps people who are dealing with substance abuse and mental illness. You can find this pl | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Hello , I was here through may-20-2024 /may-10-2025 . I mean when I first got here I was not so good but after time and time when I did something bad I would get put on this structure call par , far , ur and I learned you can't just go do something and not be punished for something. I liked how we had a schedule and we got to go outside listen to music . And when we felt sad angry, we could communicate to the staff and explain what's happening and they were always there to listen unless something was happening but that's just means you have to learn patience. My fav people there were Ms.duran top tier, Ms.perez (my therapist also top tier) , Ms.quiroz , Ms.crowe , Ms.hua, Ms.martienz, Ms.freeman, Ms.Onyekwere/Ms.O, Ms,hornsby, Ms.thomspon, Ms.marroquin, Ms.robles, Ms.campos, Ms.mcarthur, Mr.ervin, and most of all Ms.hernandez/Ms.gridy. I was on clv ^ and to be honest I didn't like it at first but they taught me a lot and how to deal with real life situations . Yes there was fights and drama but the way I learn is to mind your own business
Because you're not there for other people except your self and that's the best thing you can do if you have a problem with something yes tell the staff but also tell your therapist because they can deal with it with the treatment team . I also loved we could talk to our treatment team one every 3-4 weeks and that was our chance to talk about anything concerns anything and they will try there best to do it , yes they would put us in holds but it was because you're hurting yourself or hurting someone else but it doesn't mean they're doing it to harm you they're doing it to keep you safe and yes there are some staff that really don't care but clv up and down staff always did if you hit them they come back the next day positive and ready to work , yes sometimes they can get a little cranky but you have to remember they are also human dealing with their own problems and they are caring enough to come to a work environment like this so I give them props for dealing with girls bullshit everyday and sometimes they don't pay attention to the kids because most of them like to do it for attention I never got why they didn't for attention but they did . The food there was aight some days would be bomb. And there was a lot of stairs but I feel like if your depressed or anything it kinda gets you going again well at least that's what I felt , I love this placed it really changed me I can see better sides of things . In the Strom I was in I could finally see the rainbow and sun come out , thank you for changing my life I thought I could never make it but you guys support proved me wrong thank you 💖☺️I could've never does this without you. P.s they also do a lot of special events and activities for the kids that are behaving and outings . P.s ms.gridy is the best unit manager . I miss you guys thank you for all your help I really appreciate that you still cared for all the things I put you guys in thank you 💖

I can honestly say this facility has been a huge blessing for my child. My child had been to other facility and no one was ever able to help her. She came out with a different mentality, she is so focused and patient. She learned alot of coping skills. The healing this facility brought to my daughter and my family is amazing! Thank you soo much San Marcos treatment center!

Best VA outpatient clinic experience I’ve had anywhere in the country.
Just moved here from Arizona and think my new PCP Dr. Mathai and Nurse Randall (team 3) treated me with respect.
They listened to me and did not rush the process. I’m pleasantly surprised and want to give them a shout out!

I have stayed at this hospital twice, both stays I was treated with care, concern and respect and so appreciated all the time outdoors we got on the large beautiful patio. You are able to spend at least half your time outside about which was HUGE in my recovery personally, I'm sad the new hospital will not offer this. My doctors seemed to have very genuine concern for me and the staff was really nice. I highly recommend this facility. Only complaint is that in my second stay there was no hot water for the women left after the men showered on that unit. Some of the staff was really wonderful and advocated for us to have a rotation or to be able to shower in the mornings however. Otherwise best hospital I've ever been to and I've been to a few. Daily classes are available, access to computers a couple times a week and peer support specialists.
