The support, encouragement, and sense of community made a meaningful difference in my journey.
A special thank-you goes to the Journey Bible Study group. The group provided a wonderful space for faith, reflection, encouragement, and fellowship. I especially want to recognize Mrs. Peppa for her compassion, guidance, and dedication. Her kindness and commitment have been a blessing.
I’m also incredibly thankful for the Operation Liberty Retreat program. It was a powerful and meaningful experience, and I appreciate everyone who worked to make it possible. A very special thank-you to Mrs. Jill and Mrs. Sabrina for their care, encouragement, and the genuine heart they put into the program. Their support and dedication truly stood out.

I cannot say enough good things about Starlite Recovery Center. This place truly helped save my life. I came here on a path of death and destruction, and Starlite gave me the opportunity to reset my life, clear my head, and honestly look at what I was doing to myself and the people I love.
One of the most important parts of my recovery was rebuilding my relationship with God, and I cannot give enough credit to Ms. Pepper and the Journey Program. The Journey Program became much more than just another class for me—it became a major part of my recovery.
Ms. Pepper is an amazing woman with an incredible knowledge of God and the Bible. What makes her special is her ability to take Scripture and explain it in a way that connects directly to real life, addiction, recovery, forgiveness, and becoming the person God is calling you to be. She doesn’t just teach the Bible—she helps you understand how to actually apply God’s Word to your life.
Through the Journey Program, I learned that my recovery could not just be about staying sober. I needed to rebuild my life on a stronger foundation, and for me that foundation is God. The program helped me strengthen my faith, find hope and purpose again, and understand that God had not given up on me.
I truly hope the Journey Program continues to grow because I believe what Ms. Pepper is doing can change lives. God deserves the credit, and I am incredibly thankful He used Ms. Pepper and the Journey Program as part of changing mine.
My counselors, Sabrina and Jill, were also a huge part of my recovery. Their dedication, compassion, and knowledge of addiction and military trauma are incredible. They didn’t just focus on the addiction—they helped me dig deeper, identify the root of my problems, and build a plan for moving forward. They genuinely care about the people they are helping, and that made a tremendous difference for me.
The nursing staff was amazing as well. They treated me with kindness, respect, and compassion and made sure I was cared for throughout my time here.
Starlite gave me something I desperately needed: the opportunity to stop, reset my life, and choose a different path. I walked into Starlite headed toward death and destruction. I am walking out with a stronger relationship with God, a clearer understanding of myself, tools for my recovery, hope, purpose, and a new direction.
To Ms. Pepper, Sabrina, Jill, the nursing staff, and everyone at Starlite who played a part in my journey—thank you. This place helped save my life, and I will forever be grateful.

Kerrville, TX | Kerrville Health Care System in South Texas is a center that provides primary care and other medical support for veterans and military members. Kerrville VA Medical Center is a Department of Veterans Affairs facility in Kerrville, Texas, providing inpa | Treatments Programs Payment Options | There are many VA hospitals and clinics in Texas, but this one might very well be the best. It’s not the most convenient location for me as it’s about 90 miles from my home, but I’ll continue receiving care there even with other options closer. My first visit was a few days ago and I worked with members of both the red and orange team. Each and every one of them was extremely kind, helpful, and it was clear they all really enjoyed what they were doing, and took great pride in providing healthcare to Veterans. My experience with the Kerrville VA hospital and its staff is very encouraging and excellent. I am fortunate to have experience health care with a ppo insurance care and my care at Kerrville VA, surpasses the long scheduling and in and out visit with private medical care. I have been assigned to the gold team with my primary Dr. Llanos who is diligent in taking his time in his examination, listening and making suggestions to the different treatments regarding my disabilities. My pharmacist Dr. Rodgers has been responsible for correcting and adjusting my medication and suggesting correcting eating habits to my lifestyle. For years I had previously been treated by diabetic clinic in San Antonio where my AC1 was averaging between 8 and as high as 12. My Agent Orange disabilities to include my diabetes is as good as it will get for now with my AC 1 averaging 7.5 to 7.8. I did experience some very disappointing experiences with San Antonio VA and private medical care. The Pharmacy employees onsite Kerrville our second to none in the private sector. VA care should be the type of care that is deserving for all who served our Nation especially during wartime. Much gratitude to all the staff and caretakers for their caring and service to our Veterans with the upmost respect and care.

Hunt, TX | La Hacienda Treatment Center is an elite residential addiction rehab in Hunt, Texas. This facility sits on a 40 acre campus in the Texas Hill Country. It is surrounded by rugged hills of limestone covered by wildflowers, live oak and juniper trees. Immersing yourself in this natural setting seems like the perfect recipe for addiction recovery. R | Treatments Programs Payment Options | La Hacienda truly changed my life. I’ve been to treatment centers all over the state of Texas, and La Hacienda was the last treatment center I ever had to go to. The 28 days I spent there helped save my life and gave me the foundation I needed for long term recovery.
The staff genuinely care and are always available to help, encourage, and support clients through every stage of the process. The program is strongly rooted in a 12 step approach, which was exactly what I needed, while also offering specialized programming to meet different individual needs.
The campus is beautiful, peaceful, and very clean, creating an environment where healing feels possible. The medical staff were also incredible and made me feel safe and cared for throughout my stay.

Our family’s experience with LaHa left a lasting impression on me. My son first went there at a time when he wasn’t ready to embrace recovery and after that, he spent time at many other treatment centers. When he finally reached the point where he was ready to get better La Hacienda was the place he wanted to go. That spoke volumes to me. Out of everywhere he had been, La Hacienda was the place where he felt the most comfortable and cared for. It was a place that made him believe that recovery was possible.
As a mother, I understood very little about addiction so I attended 4 different family programs at his various treatment centers and the one at LaHa was by far the best. When my son returned to LaHa he specifically asked his dad to attend the family session. It was here that he finally understood addiction as a disease and was given the perspective he needed to not only support our son’s recovery but his own through attending our local Alanon. We highly recommend La Hacienda.

Spring Branch, TX | Ripple Ranch Recovery Center is a substance addiction treatment center in Spring Branch, Texas. They provide a safe, comfortable environment that encourages recovery with detox and residential programs. They also have a partner program that allows them to refer guests to step-down treatment services, like intensive outpatient and general outpatient | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This is a great place i graduated residential treatment there on 6/23/26 and my caseworker Kaitie Moore helped me get into Mastermind Recovery in San Antonio Tx and one of the things that she told and showed me through Mastermind brochure that Mastermind would pay for my first month rent in their sober living $800 upon completion. Now I'm over $1000 in the hole without a way to pay it .As i weight on finishing the drug treatment PHP i get further in the red so that by the time i get the money paid for PHP approximately 3weeks after i graduated i will be approximately $2000 in the red .IOP is the next step and it is promised by mastermind that me being in IOP that would pay for 1/2 months rent of $400 leaving a $400 month balance. Here is the scam It took me 2weeks to get into PHP adding up to a negative balance of $350 plus the $100 deposit =$450 to move in The money for the promised paid for rent has to come from Africa according to the addicts that's hired on by Mastermind who controls the balance taking additional $800 in the red adding up to $1250 in the red Once i start IOP the promise by mastermind is to pay 1/2 months rent leaving $400 left over =$1100 in the red. I was placed on a renal agreement non compliance notice even though I'm broke and cant get a job because i don't have ID placing me in fear of being kicked out of sober living leaving me homeless and displace leading to RELAP and my insurance who spent money for me to get better would start all over again because its well known the success of a homeless person would not and could not determine where he would end up at at night. The recipe seems to be get as much money from my insurance company and then start me back over again and push me on to their network buddies to take more insurance money. The way that mastermind brochure explain it is that these deals for paying for rent would help success. WHY DONT THIS ADD UP?

***10-STAR GOOGLE MAPS REVIEW***
Pain in my joints left me four weeks and little to no sleep. My sleep had deteriorated to, “20-hours awake followed by 90 minutes of sleep.”
This made normal life impossible.
SABHH was there for me at a “critical” life or no-life point.
This was not my first rodeo as I’ve been battling things for 19 years and have experience with many programs and facilities.
SABHH Magnolia Unit is many performance levels above the rest.
SABHH Staff made the difference from the cleaning professionals to the Extraordinaire Cafeteria gourmet cooks and bakery aficionados. Nurses and nurse technicians worked together to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all guests/patients and Staff themselves.
Even when a patient was experiencing difficulty in any given moment/situation, SABHH Staff managed to maintain a safe environment, allowing for the best possible recovery of each patient.
Mission accomplished by SABHH STAFF…!!!
I didn’t memorize everybody’s name so please accept this short, “Shout out List”.
Valerie (evening shift – Magnolia): Valerie was capable of keeping things running smoothly with clear instructions and explanations of SABHH Policies, while demonstrating compassion and empathy.
Laura (Technician -Magnolia) Warm smile paired to a warm heart and demeanor.
Maria (Nurse -Magnolia) Compassionate care and attention to detail. I could tell Maria cared about my care.
Angelina (Technician -Mustang/Magnolia): Great conversationalist, warm heart and beautiful inside and out…!
“Key” (Therapist Extraordinaire): “Key” always smiled when she saw me. The kinda smile that warms your soul. Key consistently presented with a warm glow and aura of the true beauty needed and the benchmark of proper “bedside manner”.
Dr. Campos (Psychiatrist): Extremely intelligent and a true problem solver. Dr. Campos and I quickly reach a workable system to address my medical needs.
Art (Technician -Magnolia): Outstanding Unit management. Amazing depth of information on many topics of relevancy.
Ronny (Cafeteria Professional): Keeping it real while you enjoyed your meal.
Sichelle S. (Transportation Specialist Extraordinare): Sichelle S. Provided a listening ear while transporting me to my first destination. Sichelle showed empathy and compassion and is the first of many, I pray, great conversations on my new journey.
Many, many others deserve my thanks…

My experience with MedMark Treatment Centers has meant more to me than I ever expected. Walking in for the first time, I felt overwhelmed, nervous, and unsure if I was even ready for the process. But from day one, the staff treated me with kindness, patience, and respect, which made it a little easier to keep showing up.
What truly sets this place apart is how they treat you as a person, not just a patient. They listen without judgment and take the time to understand where you’re coming from. That alone made me feel seen in a way I hadn’t felt in a long time.
There was one moment that really changed things for me. I came in on a particularly difficult day, feeling discouraged and honestly questioning everything. Instead of just going through the motions, a staff member took the time to talk with me and remind me why I started. It wasn’t anything overly dramatic, but in that moment, something clicked—I realized I didn’t have to have everything figured out, I just had to keep going. That simple shift in mindset was a breakthrough for me.
Recovery still has its ups and downs, but having a place like this—where there is structure, support, and people who genuinely care—makes a real difference. It gives you something to hold onto when things feel uncertain.
It’s not perfect, and there can be wait times or busy days, but the compassion behind what they do truly shows. I’m grateful for the role MedMark has played in my journey, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs support, understanding, and a place to start again.

Moving to San Antonio has been one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever faced. Starting over in a new environment, with a new job and so many new faces, hasn’t been easy. I can’t thank all of you enough for the impact you’ve had on my life—not just in my treatment and recovery, but far beyond that. Anyone who's had difficulty with the staff at MedMark on Military was probably being difficult themselves. They are there to help with your addiction recovery not your anger management.

First and foremost I want to say I would give SOBA a million stars if I could. Many leave false reviews and I witnessed this multiple times.
Addicts know how to manipulate and are the best of the best at doing so.
SOBA has rules in place for 100% success and 100% safety for all in treatment.
If you violated the rules you must be terminated to keep it a safe environment for all of us that want to heal.
If a client is discharged at the fault of their own actions the first thing I heard multiple times is I am going to leave a bad review.
Thank you SOBA for taking a false bad review and keeping this a safe place to recover.
Sadly to say we are a family of 8 (YES 8) that reside in Michigan and have recovered out of state only because of SOBA.
We all have years of sobriety due to the highest standards SOBA has set to teach you a beautiful new way instead of using mind altering substances.
I was petrified at age 45 to enter a treatment center and I had an extremely bad attitude when I arrived!
I was determined to find something wrong with SOBA so I could have a reason to leave.
SOBA is different than the other treatment centers we tried multiple times in Michigan. We all failed on numerous attempts.
SOBA is loving, kind, knowledgeable, safe and a peaceful place to recover.
SOBA far exceed my expectations and I stayed in treatment for 16 months.
Our children (3) stayed in treatment for 2 years. My sister and nephews also recovered at SOBA with a lengthy stay in sober living.
It is so important to reside in sober living after inpatient and do the work. Leaving treatment early will end in failure.
If it were not for SOBA I can honestly say several of us would not be alive today.

Yesterday on 15 August 2026 I had my blood drawn by a Lab Technician by the name of KAT. She was so professional, courteous, and nice. Now let me set the seen, the Lab at Audie Murphy is open on weekends (Sat&Sun) from 8am-12pm. All the Lab Technicians there move and serve with a purpose. Very very efficient. When I grabbed my ticket at around 10am I was number 83 and they were on number 53. I was seen in less than an hour. KAT informed me when they are scheduled to work the weekends they are all expecting a busy day. But they still have positive attitudes. KAT was very impressive to me, she just had the attitude of a dedicated former military member. She was actually prior Air Force with a prior job of Aircraft Maintenance. As you assume someone who was in charge of our Air Force aircraft had to be someone within attention to detail. KAT displayed these attributes and I expressed myself to her as I feel I can judge character as a retired Command Sergeant Major. KAT and her fellow comrades are awesome and should be commended. Thank you to KAT, your peers and AUDIE MURPHY LAB.
Today on 4 Feb 2026 I had an appointment with Orthopedic clinic in Rm Q107. I was seen by NIA WHITE for a follow up on my (L) knee. Mrs White has been my primary consultant since I began receiving injections to ease my pain. Today Mrs. White did a thorough follow up while examining my current MRI and recommended with my approval for a knee replacement. Mrs. White set me up for pre-therapy prior to my surgery in order to prepare for the pain after my surgery. Her concern and empathy was greatly noticed and appreciated. Mrs. White should be commended and recognized for her great expertise and customer service.
Additionally, on my way to the clinic I accidentally went to Orthopedic Rm 112. Just by chance there was a VA assistant that helps patients to and from places in the hospital. Her name was Lisa. She was an African American assistant and oh so nice. She took it upon herself to offer me wheel chair assistance in which I told her I was fine, and even so, she walked with me to Rm Q107. Please recognize and commend Lisa for her magnificent customer service and empathetic concern. Once again her name was Lisa.
I went to the LAB at Audie Murphy VA he on 31 Jan 2025. The person who drew my blood by the name of Marie provided me excellent customer service. My labs were not available on the computer so she took it upon herself to find them. She proceeded with several options to finally get in contact with my Primary Care Nurse in order to get the lab request posted. I had this issue a while back and the person didn’t take it upon themself to go above and beyond like Marie did. Marie should be commended for her customer service. Especially since she had only been there a month which she informed me when we spoke. Marie is a top notch employee.

My daughter attended Rise Inspire Academy for 2½ years and graduated in 2025. We were referred to the program by a close friend who works in the recovery community, and I'm truly grateful for that connection. Rise made a meaningful impact in my daughter’s life. She began her journey to recovery in 2023, and today, she’s the only clean and sober student in her graduating class. That speaks volumes about her commitment — and the support she received.
Throughout her time there, my daughter was offered counseling, coaching, and a safe place to heal and grow. The program isn’t magic, and it’s not easy. But for students who are ready to put in the work, it can work. The staff includes some very kind, devoted individuals who truly care about the kids they serve. For that, I’m thankful.
However, my experience as a parent was mixed. I found communication with the staff to be somewhat lacking. It often felt like they were focused entirely on my child — which is important — but I also felt left out of the loop and that my feedback was not always welcomed or acknowledged. That made things challenging at times.
One concern I want to raise is how my daughter was led to believe she had a chance to work at the school after graduation. She went through the process of creating a recovery plan, submitting a resume, and even had an interview with the director, Evita. But in the end, nothing came of it, with no clear explanation. I can’t help but feel this decision may have been influenced by my own willingness to speak up about certain safety concerns and the need for stronger leadership. That was disappointing, especially after the growth and hard work my daughter had shown.
Despite the challenges, I do strongly recommend Rise Inspire Academy to families with teens struggling with substance abuse. This school offers a life-changing opportunity for young people — but it requires effort, honesty, and a desire to change. For those who are ready, this program can be the turning point.

The staff is awesome! They always talk me out of leaving and they’re so kind I can’t be mad at them. I completed the program and the only thing I could say they could improve is maybe some more activities together. That’s a big thing. Connection with others and having fun. We did sometimes but I think they could do it more often.

San Antonio, TX | The New Season Treatment Centers of San Antonio provides adults with outpatient addiction treatment in San Antonio, Texas. An array of insurance plans are accepted. Medicaid, Medicare and TriWest are among them. What stood out to me is that they are open seven days a week for dosing including holidays. The team providing you with comprehensive care | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Yes I would like to start with the director miss Ana there has been bad rumors and I would like to set the record straight she goes out of her way to help any one that would talk to her and explain the situation she is never to busy to talk to anyone that needs her attention people sometimes missed some of the reasons why some things have to be implemented because she is looking out for everyone interests for if the state stopped by and she is not taking care of business they will close the place we depend on for our medication I have been in the program for 13 years and she's the best I can testify to that and I have been in her office while she is doing everything she can to help that person she just spoke to so I am a witness to how she helps every one she can if you all can remember Chris he would not give you the time of day to help you iam sure you all can remember Chris when he went and told off the nurses to stop advocating for the patient and for them to stay in their lane all the nurses walk out at the same time and told Chris that it was part of their job discription because they are medical and it had been coming for a while that they wanted to leave but that they he went to far and what fallout was patients wathing in line for up to 5 hours for one nurse was available and this whent on for months that is one of many different ways Ana is the right person for the job and iam please and thank you for having her as our director thank you for your time and P.S. let her know she is doing a fantastic job she could hear from time to time it would make her day thank you onece again

I'm sorry but anyone that is complaining about the waiting time and that they take long the reason why they take long is because if you had take outs you would know why they take long and people that still don't have take outs have to go every day but if you start getting your take outs you would not have to go through this waiting time every day. So they do there job as fast as they can because some people have even 30 take outs so that is why they take long . I love this clinic I recommend it to anyone because I used to go to the one in Laredo TX and believe me that they have it made here in new season clinic cuz in Laredo you don't have rights or anything they treat you like a drug addict that they don't want to hear you they don't care how small is the situation they kick you out so I don't recommend nobody to go to the one in Laredo Texas it's called consilio hispano . But I love this clinic keep doing what you're doing great service and help in all aspects such as counseling and how you run the clinic and especially because they treat us like it supposed to be they don't discriminate you for your problem of drug addiction they actually care and try to get you the help you need and they don't turn you down if you go ask for help because anyone that think that just for waiting a little bit long is bad believe me in. Laredo TX if you go ask for help they will tell you that you need to fill out a lot of papers and then if they have enough time they can help you see the doctor but until a week later or the next day when you know that if we ask for help it has to be right there and then cuz if not we will leave and not go back so anyone saying that this clinic takes long and puts bad reviews about this clinic called New Season treatment you should start getting your take outs so you don't have to be putting up with having to wait for the people that have take outs and that way you can be one of them instead and you just go once a week and also down load the app so when you get there you just check in by phone and don't have to wait for all the people that are in front of you because with the app you just check in and don't have to get in line so you just sit down and that's it because not a lot of people have the app I don't know why when it's faster so I recommend for you to download the clinic app that way you don't have to stand in line and wait for all the people that are in front of you Frist also wait for the people that check in with the app so that is another reason why they take long. . Anyways thank you and may God bless everyone that works in the clinic because I feel very comfortable and respected from anyone that works in the clinic and I love that they understand use thank you very much and may God bless you all with everything and anything you want cuz you guys deserve that and much more.

This treatment facility actually have people working there that care. The staff will go above and beyond to get u the help u need or the resources u need. Reagan is a counselor and she’s new but learning FAST. I’m glad I got her as my counselor bc if I need something she does her best to find the resources I need. The wait times can be long and frustrating but it’s not their fault they go as fast as they can to get through the line quickly. I catch 4 buses to come to this clinic. I leave my house at 6am and don’t get home sometimes till 11pm. Bc of the bus service it’s crazy but I like it here.
