My neighbor needed me to take him to Wilford Hall. He is 88 years old and was in need of the ER. I had never been to Wilford Hall, but he always talked so highly of the medical service he received. I was very impressed by the level of care he received. I was with him for 6 hours until it was determined he would be admitted to BAMC. At that point, I left the care facility. The entire time I was there, they checked on him. Very attentive to his needs. They gave him the best care. His nurse Thomas and Thompson did and outstanding job. May the Lord continue to bless all the great medical staff at Wilford Hall

As annoying as getting sober can be I gave SARC an opportunity and it worked out for the best. I trusted the staff and the process and I did feel different after 40 days. When I got out I realized that being there and being annoyed by tons of little things was exactly what life would be like on the outside. Safe to say I was geared towards a successful recovery thanks to SARC.

I attended an outpatient program here and had a very positive experience. The therapists were knowledgeable, respectful, and genuinely caring. I found the ACT mode of therapy particularly helpful, and the staff created an environment where I felt supported and heard. Overall, the program was well-organized, and I left feeling better equipped to manage my mental health. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking professional, compassionate care.

Alcohol was absolutely going to kill me, had I not found Blue Heron Recovery! From the first day, (although terrified not knowing what to expect) I felt very welcomed and safe. The facility is in a beautiful location surrounded by nature. I never felt a "hospital or jail" vibe. There is a brand new detox center and outpatient treatment available. They also incorporate yoga and meditation classes throughout the week. Heather and Lisa are AMAZING and truly care about each clients recovery. The staff work really hard to make the environment safe, fun, and healing. My therapist, Jim, is a super cool guy who treats everyone with respect which makes it easier to talk about difficult things. I owe much of my success to Jim! The owners Dr. Christina and Dr. Paul Mayer are some of the nicest people I've met and are frequently on-site teaching classes or engaging with clients. I have a long way to go, but my life as a whole is significantly better since completing the outpatient program at Blue Heron! I would highly recommend Blue Heron Recovery to anyone even considering getting help for addiction.

Lifetime Recovery is truly a life-changing place. I came to them completely broken back in 2021. It was the best decision I have ever made. The CFO at the time personally transported me 40 minutes to residential treatment. It's what I take to heart everyday now and why Ive created a sober transportation buisness myself.Their new facility is absolutely beautiful—modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to create a safe and healing environment. My first time using this location and my experience was great. The appointment for my labs was moved up and I was told just to show up. I explained this to the wonderful lady behind the counter and she said no problem, I’ll just hand print my labels out. My wait time was less than ten minutes. The lab technician was awesome, courteous, and professional. She managed to find my veins without any problems, something others have a problem with, and I was out in under five minutes. I came though this program a broken man. I was tired and my life was in shambles. My hurts habits and hang-ups had destroyed every single relationship I've ever had. I was morally, spiritually and physically bankrupt with no hope of a future aside from jail, insanity, or death. I spent the best years of my life hidden in a bottle and substance use to avoid the hurt and hopelessness i was running from. When I walked though the doors of RU they surrounded me and loved me until I could learn to love myself. This Program didn't just solve the my abuse but helped me become a thriving and impactful person in my community and reattached me to my faith. I now host open an open mic once a week for singers and songwriters downtown and volunteer on the worship team once a week. Life is beautiful and hopeful. Thank you Recovery Unplugged

Driftwood genuinely saved my life, and helped my family find peace, connection, and joy during the long journey of addiction recovery. Many of the people I met at Driftwood, including fellow clients, therapists, counselors, and others, are still in my life today as close friends and mentors. I started my recovery journey with Driftwood Recovery on 9/28/2017 and have had continuous recovery since. The facility, food, staff, education, and treatment team are top notch, A+, 5 Star. What really sets Driftwood apart is their community integration program post impatient treatment. The alumni group is strong and gets together weekly in addition to several events throughout the year. There are camping trips to state parks (Big Bend) annual Christmas party (over 150 staff and alumni attend each year), bowling, sporting events, concerts etc. I just returned from Peru on a trip that was hosted by Driftwood. We had a total of 18 on this trip, a trip that still has me smiling! If you are seeking help for yourself or a loved one I highly recommend Driftwood. Driftwood changed my life, sounds dramatic but it is very true!

I have been at VA Kerrville since 2018, although many issues with the entire STVA system I enjoy being out here. I have had my same healthcare team and used the same patient advocate since and because I advocate for my self using the tools the VA has given is the only reason I think my Health care is decent enough. Community care in the South Texas Hill country is slow but I prefer my PCP/PCM (Pink Team) over Audi Murphy (felt like cattle going to slaughter) any day. I just moved back to my home of record in SA and I will choose to drive out to Kerrville VA. Love the staff at Kerrville VA, all the way from house cleaning, volunteers, maintenance staff to clerks and medical staff. "Hi, hello, how are you" are heard often in the hallways. I'm seen on the Pink Team and I could not get better care and treatment from clerks to medical providers. The Optometry clinic is small but never an issue getting an appointment. The clerk acknowledges patients quickly. Optometrists are very through. Phenomenal treatment center. From the kitchen staff, housekeeping, tech and clinical staff everything was amazing. Gives you a perfect blend of options with AA, smart and dharma mixed with enough knowledge of the disease and an everyday process group which is very helpful. Saw my therapist 3 times a week I think with their being 50-60 clients that’s damn near unheard of. Bring outside speakers every night and their stories helped keep me inspired while still in treatment. Equine and yoga was a great plus too. Currently in their PHP program and am loving it. Only thing that had me skeptical was getting to keep your phone but actually helped get me ready for the real world vs most rehabs where you get out and are completely overwhelmed. Highly recommend this to anyone who themselves or has a loved one trying to get sober!

I was referred to The Arbor by a close friend who got sober here 5 years ago, and I’m so glad I trusted them. I was turned off to AA before coming here because of the whole God thing. I had gone to other treatment centers before and tried alternative recovery programs, but never cracked open a big book until I got here. I came in through The Arbor’s doors as a husk of a human being. I was miserable in my addiction and miserable the multiple times I tried to get sober on my own. I couldn’t stand to sit in my own skin. I was desperate for a solution - a way out of my suffering. I gave my all to this program and trusted the direction of the staff and reaped the benefits almost immediately. My recovery manager, Mike, changed my life. He loved me when I couldn’t love myself. Never in any of my past treatment experiences have we had someone directly in charge of our recovery program. The recovery managers act as a stand in sponsor while you’re in treatment and hold you accountable for progressing in your step work. This is a true dual diagnosis facility as well. My therapist Gabi was very supportive in my journey here, as I do struggle with co-occurring disorders. EMDR is an option for those with trauma who are staying long term (which I highly recommend if you can). Equine therapy was another asset - I had Danielle and worked with Tilly and gained a whole new set of tools for coping and regulation that I wouldn’t have gained in traditional talk therapy. The psychiatrists and medical team are highly qualified and don’t just push pills for the sake of pushing pills. Every single staff member at The Arbor is committed to helping you grow in your recovery. From the admissions team (shout out Tiffany) to the support staff, this place made me feel like I was in good hands every step of the way. I left with a newfound sense of self worth and direction and confidence in myself to keep working the program. Thank you to The arbor for giving me my life back. I highly recommend this facility for any out there who are still suffering and genuinely want to live a life worth living.

I went to The Arbor in 2016 and it saved my life. The staff and the other residents helped me through a very difficult situation. Years later, I worked there for some time and I can say that every single staff member truly cares about recovery and helping their clients find it.

This place was a lifesaver for me! I could tell how much everyone cared. I honestly don’t believe I could’ve gotten sober without this place and the amazing staff! Everything was great, the knowledge and support of staff was incredible. The place was also extremely peaceful. The food was hands down the best food I’ve ever eaten! Overall I would suggest anyone struggling to go here- seriously saved my life!
