This is a really nice place if you are re-entering the free world and want to stay some where where you can be around a clean and sober environment. You get the things you need with a pretty good breakfast and dinner with all the snacks you can stand in between. The men who stay here are very friendly and helpful. The staff the same. The place has its problems. But what old building doesn't. If you are really looking to stay clean and save a little money doing it I recommend this place.

Windmill Wellness Ranch saved me in more ways than one. All members of the staff care and are genuine in helping people recover. They teach and give you tools in whatever it is that is troubling you and educate those individuals on how to move forward. I am a born pessimist, so I spent a great deal of time looking into this place. First, I found nothing negative whatsoever, Secondly, I spent 60 days here and cried leaving. This place and ALL of it's staff saved my life. I can remember spending countless times in the nurses station, at the wellness advocates desk, and even in the Blanco hall, talking to the different staff about my days, my problems, my achievements, etc. And EVERY SINGLE PERSON TOOK THE TIME TO LISTEN AND HELP OR CHEER ME ON!! There's not a staff member in this place that doesn't care about each person. The therapy sessions are incredible and I can't thank them enough for showing me I wasn't hopeless and giving me all the tools I need to have a beautiful, healthy and sober life. I am 45 years old, and I never thought this was possible.

ALR will always remain near and dear to my heart because I rediscovered myself. Humbled & eternally grateful to find what a sane, sound and sober life is all about after so many years. ALR is literally a lifetime home away from home, where Alumni are not just welcomed to visit anytime, but highly encouraged to come back, stay involved and help other suffering addicts find lifetime sobriety and follow dreams once battered and broken. The owner, Robert, is nothing short of marvelous himself and has formed a "dream team" staff that are pillars of the program. Conner, JD, Gavin, Scottie, Sean, "A-Aron", Hartom, Hutts & Jacob "J-Kline" are all living a life of recovery. I went to Great Oaks (affectionately known as GORC) in late December of 2024. For the thirty days I was there I was surrounded by the greatest group of support, education, and therapy. Its been several months and I wouldnt be in the very capable and strong place that I am now without the experience I had. I would recommend GORC to anyone who is struggling with substance abuse and the underlying reasons why.

Origins was instrumental in giving me my life back, to finally feel myself again.
I almost even felt a little bad for my family initially because the accommodations were far above and beyond what I expected. From the medical care, rooms, housekeeping, food, access to beach/gym, they truly make sure that the only possible thing on your mind there should be is recovery and it works. To that, the multi-pronged curriculum, its presentation and the ability to focus all your attention on it really makes it feel like you're taking a college course in sobriety while staying at a resort.
The caring and intelligence of the staff was also unparalleled even down to the Resident Assistants. Just being able to share the depth of thought about the nature and philosophy of addiction and sobriety offhandedly was refreshing and something completely unexpected.
All in all if it wasn't for the daily schedule being like my work schedule I'd even want to go just to take a break from life/work, here and there, lol :D

I didn't know what to expect when I first came . I just knew I needed help with mental health and my Dr felt this was the place for me to receive it . This has been the best decision I have ever made . I feel seen and I know that I'm being heard . They have gone above and beyond for me and I genuinely feel like they care about me and my well being . I come here for medication management (she is so patient with me and listens to what I have to say and if something doesn't work she works with me to figure out what's the next best thing ), I also receive talk therapy here (I've never been so excited to have a therapy session . She won me over with our first meeting . I got off our zoom call feeling like I had just received the biggest hug . I'm literally counting down the days to our next session). Lastly I also receive TMS therapy here . My technician is Joseph most of the time but I've also seen Brianna . They have made this experience amazing for me . Constantly checking on me and talking to me and just letting me know that while I'm there , I'm their main focus . As a mother , I can admit I've forgotten to focus on myself so to have this time that it's all about me is very refreshing . This week we even had a cute little bingo game that made me take some extra steps to being more proactive in getting better . Even if I don't win I'm just excited to fill in the squares. Even the wonderful woman at the front desk is amazing . I'm always greeted with a smile and anytime I've called I've gotten an answer (and you can hear her smiling over the phone ). I said allllll this to say that I'm glad I took this step , I feel so blessed that there is a group of people that care about me and my well being , and I would recommend this place to EVERYONE. They are all truly God sent .

Where to begin in thanking PRC for giving me the tools to save myself. Super friendly right from the beginning. Admissions had me scheduled for check in before I got there. Linda was compassionate and kind as she was doing my intake assessment. When I was taken to the men's dorm, Ron, gave me the lay of the land and made sure to remind me I chose to come here because I wanted to live differently. Colleen, Reanna, Jaime and Kevin provided insightful exercises that not only challenged my understanding of my disease they also allowed me to understand myself in a new way. If you or your loved one needs tough love, education, and support this place is for you. I know this journey is so incredibly hard and scary but there is help out here when you are ready. I really appreciate the guidance and understanding they taught me to help others. I agree rehab is expensive without insurance but this place changes and saves lives when you are ready.

If it wasn't for this amazing program and facility I wouldn't be here today. It's been almost two years since I first walked through the doors of BRC. I would first and foremost like to say that if it wasn't for the staff for taking genuine interest and concern for my overall being and seeing past my physical appearance that I was struggling with something much deeper than I wouldn't have stayed. I see some negative comments and believe me I had some when I first got to Austin, TX. But, sitting here clean and sober almost 2 years later I will admit that if it wasn't for this knowledge that was given to me by this program, I probably wouldn't be who I am today. I've come to my own realization that your addiction will convince your brain of anything to keep you living in the darkness. It will tell you that you aren't and addict or that because you look different that you aren't an addict. I'm currently still working on underlying problems that led me down the road of addiction and using them to help build my strength to continue this journey of recovery. If it wasn't for BRC I would still be a lost 29-year-old mother of 6 beautiful children and I wouldn't know that a healthy relationship looks like or that firm boundaries with unhealthy people are okay. I walk in a new light thanks to this place and the people that make this program possible. One day my children will also thank them for giving them their mom back! No words can ever express the gratitude that I have for BRC. Please have an open mind when going into this program because I promise it will all be worth it. The program is strict but our addiction are even darker.
