My experience at Bay Area Recovery Center has been absolutely wonderful. The staff and counselors here have been such a huge part of my recovery journey. Their care, compassion, and guidance truly changed my life. Because of their support, I’ve been sober for seven months — something I never could have imagined before coming here. I’m beyond grateful for everyone who has helped me along the way. Bay Area Recovery Center will always have a special place in my heart.

Bay Area Recovery Center not only saved my life it changed me. I am a better person because of the program that was taught to me by the staff and the other women in treatment. This is one of the best experiences I have had in my recovery journey. The consolers are top notch and very easy to talk with. The consolers really give you the tools, to help you in your recovery journey. I would do IOP again if I needed it.

At Adapt the combined curriculum, love ❤️ & care of a listening therapist type counselor, I experienced uplifting Relief in the unique listening & sharing atmosphere. Also, I experienced more than just Freedom from alcohol , that slowly took control over me. I magically adapted to an enthusiastic attitude to replace the damages & Shame of the past , to moving forward & not looking back. By adopting the tools from processing in Group, & the curriculum Provided , I obtained wisdom through understanding in Each session & class. People were really friendly and very professional

My experience for this recovery was truly helpful. I had no issue with the staff and answered every question that I asked without a problem. The staff made sure that I got the proper treatment and need of assistance. No problem with communication and always willing to attend to any help.

This has to be one of the best recovery centers in Houston. Mr. Tim is amazing. Hes probably the best counselor that i have ever worked with. Hes supportive, honest and encouraging....You can tell that he really cares about his clients.

I lived here back in 2003-2004. The place itself is huge and provided us with lots to do throughout the year. They also took us on a variety of off campus field trips that were always a blast! To this day, I have maintained friendships with people including staff/teachers that I will forever cherish. Likewise, for it being such a rough time in my life, my experiences here, (for the most part) helped get me through it.

Bay Area recovery and Mrs. Sarah helped me exponentially to regain my support system and path to being a better person. I went to rehab previously but fell back on the things I was doing that ended me up there and she taught me how to live a sober and healthy life and gave me support to be the best version of myself. And all the other group and faculty members were amazing too. Helping with much needed insight and guidance to bettering myself and my decision making and how to continue and sustain the healthy lifestyle they implemented into my life. I literally was just sitting down, minding my business, waiting on a friend to take care of his business, when a worker legitimately concerned, asked me if someone had already helped me. That made me feel so seen, and validated somehow. If that's how they treat you without knowing if you're in for service, I can only imagine how committed they'll be when receiving care.

I’ve Known Of Montrose Counseling/Community Center since Summer of 1995. During That Time MCC was located on Richmond Avenue in a beautiful but smaller building than they’re in now. My first Therapist was Lee Willis a phenomenal therapist for anyone living with gender dysphoria. Since then I’ve had sporadic experiences at MCC from 1995 till 2008. However, when I move back to Houston in 2008 I started going To MCC consistently especially after 2009. I’ve had some wonderful case managers and therapist from Mandy Lloyd in 2009 till Daniel Perez now. I can honestly say there’re people who work at MCC who authentically care about the LGBTQ+ community of Houston very much, and those same people are willing to provide exceptional services for anyone regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, religion, or race to me that’s commendable. I lost my Therapist/ Friend Mike Ator in November Of last year 11-04-24 was the day I was told he had passed away, and that news shook me to my core it was devastating heartbreaking news. I miss him greatly and that’s the kind of people that work at MCC phenomenal people who truly care and reaffirm to their clients they matter. In closing, I wholeheartedly recommend MCC to anyone who seeking services like Mental Wellness, Community groups to network, groups that meet to discuss life’s challenges, and helping people who are apart of the LGBTQ+ community by reaffirming the fact YOU MATTER 🤗 I Sincerely And Unequivocally give MCC Five Stars For being a lighthouse In Dark Times Thank You ☺️ GOD Bless 🙏🏾 !!!!!!

The facilities are great, we so appreciate the safe spaces. Staff works with disabilities and are very kind in my experience. Thank y'all so much!

This place is the best rehab place for women to get back to being productive members of society. It's a tough one day at a time program for women who only really want to change.

Great place understanding staff n helpful counselors.loshandra rocks n Jarret is awesome !! Even the techs were so helpful n friendly i went in on 7-23-23 everything was good towards the end i got a couch how lucky was i to get couch AUTUMN ha she talked about my pants not being fancy enough for community saying i wasnt serious that I don’t want to b sober ( hint I was in rehab willingly) n basically ignored me wouldn’t help me get help with anything literally SHE DID NOTHING for me n the day I graduated im all proud n happy she walks up to me says “ im not gunna b ur couch, u don’t want this ur no hope bye “ I told the lady in charge she said “ she has to it’s to late , o well just go ask another couch “ other couches had already left or said they were full so while Santa Maria was great couch AUTUMN shouldn’t b a couch if that’s how she thinks while Santa Maria was setting me up for greatness the one person that’s supposed to b ur support on the outside tryed to set me up for failure n Santa Maria as a whole don’t need her mentality in a place like that ur supposed to couch help not tear us down
