Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. I have been an iv/im heroin/fent user for 20 years now. I’ve been on methadone before and it’s always worked. I moved out this way to help take care of my father who is very ill. I was recently released from prison and relapsed upon my release. The main receptionist Debbie got me in right away, they got me funding to help pay for my medication. My counselor Anissa. (God I hope I got her name right) has been so kind and helpful. I recently had to rush my dad to the transplant hospital in San Antonio bc he had a blood clot dislodge and go to his lungs. I didn’t bring my id or anything. The staff at Cms got me guess dosed here in San Antonio and I am just so grateful for them. Don’t hesitate to go. Just go in and get it done and stay focused. If nothing else works for you and you’re a serious opiate addict. Methadone will work. Take it from somebody who’s went to war with my addiction. Just take the medicine and get some structure. I don’t care if u have to drive 30 miles, go here! This has BY FAR been the best experience I’ve had during my treatment! I have called 3 clinics my home over the years and this one is SO genuine! Anissa: you’ve been nothing short of fantastic. Literally anytime I needed something, you promptly prepped all documentation and worked with me every step of the way. Our councilor visits always feel genuine, you treat me like a human being and it’s obvious you want only the best for the patients you take care of. Thank you for everything you have done for me! Debby: you are so sweet and are always so kind. I overhear your interactions with the patients you check in and you always treat them with respect and work with them as much as you can if they run into an issue that you can take care of. The nursing staff, (I apologize I’m horrible with names) Especially within the last 3 months are quick to dose, accurate and the sweet woman who usually doses window 2 on Mondays is extremely knowledgeable and is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. This wonderful woman reminds me of my best friend’s Mother, extremely sweet, dignified, tidy, proper proud country girl ready for anything and always has her hair done right! My best friend would probably say “she comes to work lookin’ Tuff!” Yet again, another genuine person who only wants the best for the patients she sees. Best part, when blood is needed to be drawn, she makes it completely painless! This is coming from someone with TINY veins. ( I know that sounds silly, but I’ve been to clinics where your arm and finger tips come out with more than a few punctures) The Doctor who oversees everything here believes in the process. This review is really long but in short, he made me feel safe. I felt like I could tell him anything and he always replied with care and would do anything he could to help. I won’t go into details. But he is the type of doctor you HOPE to get when you’re at your lowest. Management: what can i say without repeating myself. The clinic would not be what it is if you weren’t running the ship! The counselors you’ve hired are top notch. You go above and beyond for anyone who simply follows the rules. Ms. Tiffany at admissions never gave up on me when it comes to getting me back into treatment when my life was going the wrong way. The admissions team to the family coordinators all the way to the counseling staff & recovery- care techs, there is so much compassion & love for the people that come in there. I owe a lot of my success in my recovery to The Arbor. I am still in their after-care with living in their sober living & had completed their IOP program as well. After completing IOP, I continued to stay plugged in to our Arbor Alumni Group that meets every Wednesday night at 7:30pm. What this looked like, was getting a service commitment & staying as involved with the community around me. All that to say, a sense of belonging, consistency, a schedule that I stuck to & making sure I ran my “bright” ideas towards three mentors at least because I am impulsive. I know have been living in my own apartment in my own name, embracing solitude & staying at the heart of being of service to my fellow brothers. Knowing that “I am connected to others”, “I matter in the lives of others”, & “I have something to give.” I embraced a new job, stayed consistent to my schedule, attended the alumni meeting as a home group & stayed involved in the Drug Addicts Anonymous fellowship. I understand that I no longer need to fix my past & begin participating in the present. I thank the Arbor staff, in all the areas of long-term after care & also the ones that work in residential treatment. I allowed others to help me & genuinely took a posture of humble-willingness. When I first came in, I was broken, scared, and didn’t know how to live without using. What I found here was structure, accountability, and most importantly, support from people who understood exactly what I was going through. The house/program wasn’t just a roof over my head it became a safe place where I could rebuild myself, one day at a time. The rules, meetings, and responsibilities might have felt hard at first, but I came to realize they were teaching me how to live again. The friendships I built, the guidance I received, and the sense of community here gave me the foundation I needed to stay sober and grow. I cannot say enough good things about the staff there and the care I received. Annette is legitimately one of the most knowledgeable therapists I’ve ever met — you can mention almost any book or therapeutic concept, and she’s already read it and can discuss it thoughtfully. I learned so many skills from Annette’s groups. She is also deeply empathetic. Aaron, one of the nurses, has such a huge heart and genuinely cares about the patients. Jaimee, a behavioral tech, sat with me, held my hand, and hugged me while I talked about the loss of my son, a moment of kindness I will never forget. Maureen was always positive, attentive, and constantly checking in on everyone to make sure we were okay. I also really loved the yoga session with Jacob; it was one of my favorite parts of the program. I was specifically on the Sunrise Unit, so I can only speak to that experience, but they truly seem to have figured out how to create a compassionate and supportive environment. Most importantly, I felt heard. My treatment team listened to me, treated me like a person, and helped me through one of the hardest moments of my life. I want to thank the entire staff, especially Mrs Gertrude, Ms Sabreelyn, Mrs Yemi, Mrs Nikki, Mr Aaron, Mr Carrey, Mrs Sabrina, Ms Jamie, Christopher, Mrs India, Mrs Natasha and various other nurses, doctors and therapist that helped me along the way and set a path for me to continue on my journey. I met many wonderful women from all walks of life that made me feel seen and heard. My stay was the perfect. If you're in need of a reset or you need detox, this is the place to go and get just that. Here's by far, in my very long time at this outpatient center, the most caring and knowledgeable counselor I have ever had the pleasure of being assigned to. It would take me a novels worth of verbiage and wording to explain how far he goes to help me. Not only is he incredibly perceptive, but he is able to adapt his manner of help and counseling to each individual's way of retaining that help. I've been receiving treatment from this facility even before it was cms, back when it was still called Mars. So I've seen countless counselors come and go, and one little thing that stands out amongst all of the counselors that I've been assigned to is that Chad is the only one who has ever said "don't hesitate to give me a call if you're having a bad day, or you just need someone to talk to, or if something's going wrong and you need some advice. If I'm here at the office, I'll MAKE time to talk", and he means it. There's been many times where I have had to reach out to him, when having a bad day or in a situation where I needed advice, and he does his best to relay any and all help he can. A while back I had started looking at other treatment facilities, around the same time that he came on board at CMS and I got assigned to him. And I have to say, if it weren't for Chad coming into my life and being an outlet and more than a counselor, someone I can consider a friend in the professional sense. If it weren't for him, I would have left and joined this other outpatient clinic that I had found. I'm leaving this review so all will know the outstanding job that he does day in and day out. And it is not an easy job. So chad, hold your head high and keep up the good work. I am forever grateful for all of the knowledge and lessons that you have taught me in our time together. And I look forward to many more conversations, laughs, cries, and knowledgeable interactions with you. Five stars earned, by Chad!!! Long, expensive, and brutal. Auburn was hired or assigned to our case as a GAL, and she was excellent in this role. Very detailed and diligent, and focused on what's best for the child. Since then we have used Auburn for visitation monitoring (of the other parent), and she has been excellent in this role as well. We've used a number of monitors over the years, and Auburn is easily the best of them. Stands up for the kids, can take the heat, and does what is right and best for them. I'm very glad that she was assigned to our case, and continues to provide visitation monitoring. Five stars. J S. 1 month ago I truly don’t understand all of these bad reviews; I suspect that most of them are from bitter parents who did not want their bad behavior exposed. If you want a a GAL or supervisor who will do the work and truly put your children’s welfare first, Dr. Gallagher is absolutely the best choice. I had heard horror stories about Guardians ad litem just phoning it in and not really caring to properly investigate to get to know the kids or the situation, so when it came time to get a GAL because of my kids’ abusive father, I was afraid that it would be for nothing. But Auburne proved to be the exception. Auburne hit the ground running, and it quickly became apparent that she is passionate about protecting and looking out for the best interests of children. It is not just a job for her; it is a mission. Auburne was extremely thorough. She conducted many interviews and collected records for everyone involved. And most importantly, she uncovered the truth about the abuse. She was fair-minded and made it very clear to me that she works for the children and not the parents. In fact, she got to know my children very well. In addition, Auburne was always professional with me in all communications, and she was very professional in court. In the end, Auburne made recommendations that would have helped my children’s father have a healthier relationship with the children. He refused to follow any of the recommendations, and he was furious that Auburne helped expose him for the abuser he is. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these negative reviews were written by him. If you want a supervisor or guardian ad litem that will actually do the hard work to learn the truth and put your children first, Auburne Gallagher is your woman. What else matters? This is for and about our children, not us as parents. They have a system. Their techs are great, they know the rules and stick to them. Use this company for your children’s sake. When your children need to be protected from their own mentally ill mother, for example in my case, why you needed supervised visits for your children in the first place, they will do their job. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. I came here barely alive, hopelessly alcoholic after years of heavy daily drinking. Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. If you need rehab, you do that after, or find a rehab that does detox on site.

I went to Cenikor 5/6/21 and have been sober ever since. I am so grateful for this place and the experience. There was one counselor specifically who helped me with my childhood trauma and I still carry what she would say to me to this day. Look, I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. They have been a literal life saver. I have been an iv/im heroin/fent user for 20 years now. I’ve been on methadone before and it’s always worked. I moved out this way to help take care of my father who is very ill. I was recently released from prison and relapsed upon my release. The main receptionist Debbie got me in right away, they got me funding to help pay for my medication. My counselor Anissa. (God I hope I got her name right) has been so kind and helpful. I recently had to rush my dad to the transplant hospital in San Antonio bc he had a blood clot dislodge and go to his lungs. I didn’t bring my id or anything. The staff at Cms got me guess dosed here in San Antonio and I am just so grateful for them. Don’t hesitate to go. Just go in and get it done and stay focused. If nothing else works for you and you’re a serious opiate addict. Methadone will work. Take it from somebody who’s went to war with my addiction. Just take the medicine and get some structure. Good luck.

Summary first: If you need treatment and are ready to follow a couple of very simple rules, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! I don’t care if u have to drive 30 miles, go here! This has BY FAR been the best experience I’ve had during my treatment! I have called 3 clinics my home over the years and this one is SO genuine! Anissa: you’ve been nothing short of fantastic. Literally anytime I needed something, you promptly prepped all documentation and worked with me every step of the way. Our councilor visits always feel genuine, you treat me like a human being and it’s obvious you want only the best for the patients you take care of. Thank you for everything you have done for me! Debby: you are so sweet and are always so kind. I overhear your interactions with the patients you check in and you always treat them with respect and work with them as much as you can if they run into an issue that you can take care of. The nursing staff, (I apologize I’m horrible with names) Especially within the last 3 months are quick to dose, accurate and the sweet woman who usually doses window 2 on Mondays is extremely knowledgeable and is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. This wonderful woman reminds me of my best friend’s Mother, extremely sweet, dignified, tidy, proper proud country girl ready for anything and always has her hair done right! My best friend would probably say “she comes to work lookin’ Tuff!” Yet again, another genuine person who only wants the best for the patients she sees. Best part, when blood is needed to be drawn, she makes it completely painless! This is coming from someone with TINY veins. ( I know that sounds silly, but I’ve been to clinics where your arm and finger tips come out with more than a few punctures) The Doctor who oversees everything here believes in the process. This review is really long but in short, he made me feel safe. I felt like I could tell him anything and he always replied with care and would do anything he could to help. I won’t go into details. But he is the type of doctor you HOPE to get when you’re at your lowest. Management: what can i say without repeating myself. The clinic would not be what it is if you weren’t running the ship! The counselors you’ve hired are top notch. You go above and beyond for anyone who simply follows the rules. It’s very uncommon to have such a well rounded staff and you must’ve gone through Hundreds of applications to get the team you have here.

I’ve been to treatment centers all over the country, and I can honestly say there was something different about The Arbor. I am writing this review with one-year sober thanks to the staff at The Arbor. Ms. Tiffany at admissions never gave up on me when it comes to getting me back into treatment when my life was going the wrong way. The admissions team to the family coordinators all the way to the counseling staff & recovery- care techs, there is so much compassion & love for the people that come in there. I owe a lot of my success in my recovery to The Arbor. I am still in their after-care with living in their sober living & had completed their IOP program as well. I will always recommend The Arbor to anyone that struggles with addiction. This is the best place to reset & put the healthy things back in order in your life. I thank The Arbor staff for all that you have done for me. The resilience & unrelenting love that was shown towards me taught me that I am worth it & that I deserve a healthy life. **Update**—I am writing this at 2 years & 2 months sober. Throughout my journey in recovery, I completed 18months of sober living at the Hyde Park men’s house. I understood the importance of being apart of a community, with a sense of belonging, & an opportunity to continue helping the new roommate moving into the house. After completing IOP, I continued to stay plugged in to our Arbor Alumni Group that meets every Wednesday night at 7:30pm. What this looked like, was getting a service commitment & staying as involved with the community around me. All that to say, a sense of belonging, consistency, a schedule that I stuck to & making sure I ran my “bright” ideas towards three mentors at least because I am impulsive. Knowing that “I am connected to others”, “I matter in the lives of others”, & “I have something to give.” I embraced a new job, stayed consistent to my schedule, attended the alumni meeting as a home group & stayed involved in the Drug Addicts Anonymous fellowship. I can honestly say this sober living/PHP program saved my life. When I first came in, I was broken, scared, and didn’t know how to live without using. What I found here was structure, accountability, and most importantly, support from people who understood exactly what I was going through. The house/program wasn’t just a roof over my head it became a safe place where I could rebuild myself, one day at a time. The rules, meetings, and responsibilities might have felt hard at first, but I came to realize they were teaching me how to live again. The friendships I built, the guidance I received, and the sense of community here gave me the foundation I needed to stay sober and grow. After losing my son last year, Mother’s Day was incredibly difficult for me, and I ended up in the Sunrise Unit at Rock Springs. I cannot say enough good things about the staff there and the care I received. Annette is legitimately one of the most knowledgeable therapists I’ve ever met — you can mention almost any book or therapeutic concept, and she’s already read it and can discuss it thoughtfully. I learned so many skills from Annette’s groups. She is also deeply empathetic. Aaron, one of the nurses, has such a huge heart and genuinely cares about the patients. Jaimee, a behavioral tech, sat with me, held my hand, and hugged me while I talked about the loss of my son, a moment of kindness I will never forget. Maureen was always positive, attentive, and constantly checking in on everyone to make sure we were okay. I also really loved the yoga session with Jacob; it was one of my favorite parts of the program. I was specifically on the Sunrise Unit, so I can only speak to that experience, but they truly seem to have figured out how to create a compassionate and supportive environment. Most importantly, I felt heard. My treatment team listened to me, treated me like a person, and helped me through one of the hardest moments of my life. This is definitely where I would go if I was ever in crisis again.

I was in the Sunrise unit. The best unit in the hospital in my opinion. I want to thank the entire staff, especially Mrs Gertrude, Ms Sabreelyn, Mrs Yemi, Mrs Nikki, Mr Aaron, Mr Carrey, Mrs Sabrina, Ms Jamie, Christopher, Mrs India, Mrs Natasha and various other nurses, doctors and therapist that helped me along the way and set a path for me to continue on my journey. I met many wonderful women from all walks of life that made me feel seen and heard. My stay was the perfect. If you're in need of a reset or you need detox, this is the place to go and get just that. They also provide continued help when you're out.The food was okay. I knew it would be bland due to others dietary needs but a little salt, pepper and franks goes a long way, lol. I can't thank everyone enough.

I'm leaving this comment because of my counselor, Chad. Here's by far, in my very long time at this outpatient center, the most caring and knowledgeable counselor I have ever had the pleasure of being assigned to. It would take me a novels worth of verbiage and wording to explain how far he goes to help me. Not only is he incredibly perceptive, but he is able to adapt his manner of help and counseling to each individual's way of retaining that help. I've been receiving treatment from this facility even before it was cms, back when it was still called Mars. So I've seen countless counselors come and go, and one little thing that stands out amongst all of the counselors that I've been assigned to is that Chad is the only one who has ever said "don't hesitate to give me a call if you're having a bad day, or you just need someone to talk to, or if something's going wrong and you need some advice. If I'm here at the office, I'll MAKE time to talk", and he means it. There's been many times where I have had to reach out to him, when having a bad day or in a situation where I needed advice, and he does his best to relay any and all help he can. A while back I had started looking at other treatment facilities, around the same time that he came on board at CMS and I got assigned to him. And I have to say, if it weren't for Chad coming into my life and being an outlet and more than a counselor, someone I can consider a friend in the professional sense. If it weren't for him, I would have left and joined this other outpatient clinic that I had found. I'm leaving this review so all will know the outstanding job that he does day in and day out. And it is not an easy job. So chad, hold your head high and keep up the good work. I am forever grateful for all of the knowledge and lessons that you have taught me in our time together. And I look forward to many more conversations, laughs, cries, and knowledgeable interactions with you. Five stars earned, by Chad!!!

I can say Tara specifically was extremely supportive!! She works as one of the clinical staff I believe, her encouragement and support were everything! She provided resources, and told me to keep advocating for my son when he really needed help! The reality most don't understand is, these places aren't supposed to be a 5star resort they are designed to help provide structure, stability and safety. I went for the detox and the nurses were all so kind. The nurse Caroline even would do fun stuff with me and play games with me because I was bored haha. The food was interesting since it seemed multiple staff cooked on certain days. But for the most part it was amazing food. They really cared and it was a fun experience despite the reason I was there.

All, ALL the staff here are very helpful and friendly. Everyone is doing their best to provide great service, above being under staffed and I'm sure under padded. REMEMBER, they did not cut their funds, they did not limit the amount of time they are allowed for each veterans appointment. Despite this!!!, somehow, they still are able to provide great service within all the restrictions placed on them that could easily prevent them from providing the great service they are already giving.

I went to Hill Country Counseling three times a week for close to a year. I got excellent guidance and counseling there from Michelle, one of the counselors there. Michelle was very professional and didn't judge me. She went above and beyond her "job" there, and took me to a crisis unit across town when she thought it best for me. This place is one of the best facilities I've ever been to...ever, and I've been to quite a few, in a few different states. If you feel like you could use some help, or just someone to talk to, go here and get some help. Danny, the owner is a very nice guy, and has a great staff there under him. I can't say enough good things about Hill Country Counseling. Do yourself a solid and check them out. You won't be disappointed, I promise. G- Man approved. 10/10...now...GO!!!

Several years ago I had the displeasure of enduring a two year custody battle via a SAPCR case. Long, expensive, and brutal. Auburn was hired or assigned to our case as a GAL, and she was excellent in this role. Very detailed and diligent, and focused on what's best for the child. Since then we have used Auburn for visitation monitoring (of the other parent), and she has been excellent in this role as well. We've used a number of monitors over the years, and Auburn is easily the best of them. Stands up for the kids, can take the heat, and does what is right and best for them. I'm very glad that she was assigned to our case, and continues to provide visitation monitoring. Five stars.

I truly don’t understand all of these bad reviews; I suspect that most of them are from bitter parents who did not want their bad behavior exposed. If you want a a GAL or supervisor who will do the work and truly put your children’s welfare first, Dr. Gallagher is absolutely the best choice. I had heard horror stories about Guardians ad litem just phoning it in and not really caring to properly investigate to get to know the kids or the situation, so when it came time to get a GAL because of my kids’ abusive father, I was afraid that it would be for nothing. But Auburne proved to be the exception. Auburne hit the ground running, and it quickly became apparent that she is passionate about protecting and looking out for the best interests of children. It is not just a job for her; it is a mission. Auburne was extremely thorough. She conducted many interviews and collected records for everyone involved. And most importantly, she uncovered the truth about the abuse. She was fair-minded and made it very clear to me that she works for the children and not the parents. In fact, she got to know my children very well. In addition, Auburne was always professional with me in all communications, and she was very professional in court. In the end, Auburne made recommendations that would have helped my children’s father have a healthier relationship with the children. He refused to follow any of the recommendations, and he was furious that Auburne helped expose him for the abuser he is. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these negative reviews were written by him. If you want a supervisor or guardian ad litem that will actually do the hard work to learn the truth and put your children first, Auburne Gallagher is your woman.

I’ve been using this company for several years. They are reliable and dependable. They protect my children and have had to from their own mother on multiple occasions. What else matters? This is for and about our children, not us as parents. They have a system. Their techs are great, they know the rules and stick to them. Use this company for your children’s sake. When your children need to be protected from their own mentally ill mother, for example in my case, why you needed supervised visits for your children in the first place, they will do their job. Trust me there are far worse.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! I can't say enough great things about my treatment at RU. I was in the PHP program and the curriculum is awesome. They definitely help you get out of your comfort zone with Open Mic on Wednesdays, which I loved! The mens houses are both very nice and comfortable. And they provide food for us and we can still purchase extra if we want. I would recommend this facility to any and everyone!

Recovery unplugged has been a very important part of my journey. My therapist, staff, the clients, and especially my case manager Chloe have really helped me through this chapter of my life. Chloe was my case manager and really helped me get my doctors appointments figured out , my probation appointments, and answered any other questions I had. My therapist Jess was also very helpful and I felt like she was the only therapist I’ve ever had that I could truly be honest with. The techs are also awesome and really help you through the day. I definitely recommend this place and you really get what you put in out of it.

Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!
