Once again, nothing but thanks a gratitude for the staff at Meridell. This was my son's second time this year (insurance denial for longer stay the first time) and both times I was very happy with the level of care my son received. I would recommend this facility to parents over the many other RTCs I've used in the past for my oldest daughter.

I may not have liked my time here back in 2008 (if I remember correctly), but I can't deny I would more than likely be in prison now rather than serving The Will of God Almighty if I hadn't gone to Meridell at the orders of my parents.

I came here barely alive, hopelessly alcoholic after years of heavy daily drinking. Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. If you need rehab, you do that after, or find a rehab that does detox on site.

I went to Cenikor 5/6/21 and have been sober ever since. I am so grateful for this place and the experience. There was one counselor specifically who helped me with my childhood trauma and I still carry what she would say to me to this day. The people who work there all have experience and genuinely care about you. I am so grateful for Cenikor foundation. Sierra I met five years ago and she was my sober house manager for two houses and now my best friend, she is truly a woman who cares and understands. This place was the first step in my continued journey of sobriety. I also never laughed so much and had so much fun in a treatment setting before. I will forever cherish and be grateful for this place. Cenikor saved me. Yours truly -LJ

I recommend the Arbor to anybody struggling with addiction and mental health. I was hesitant to leave my young daughter at home, but I am so grateful that I did so I could get the help I need to be the mom she needs today. I didn't feel like a number here. The women's house feels like a home, the food is good, it's not a cafeteria its chefs and they are awesome. Brand new gym equipment and facilitated exercise. But aside from all of that, it's the people who put their time into the clients at the arbor that I appreciate the most. I had never been to an AA centered treatment facility, and this was life changing. I met with my counselor, Kalli once a week and had the opportunity to meet with her more if I wanted to. I met with my recovery manger, Paula once a week as well. The Psych doctor, Kasey is ON HER GAME. I was able to meet with her within the first week of arrival. I felt like my needs and concerns were met across the board. Being surrounded by nature and horses was very therapeutic. Just about everyone working there is in recovery which I also respect and appreciate. Swing by the barn and meet with the horse ladies they are amazing, even if you don't want to do equine. The techs are amazing shout out to Laura, Kevin, and Trent!

The Arbor will forever be one of the places that forever changed the course of my life. I arrived at the Arbor immediately after spending six days in detox. I was terrified, ashamed, overwhelmed, and convinced that my life had completely fallen apart. I believed I had lost my marriage, my family, my career, and everything I had worked so hard for. Walking into residential treatment was never somewhere I imagined my life would take me. The Arbor gave me much more than a place where I couldn’t drink. It gave me the space to finally understand my addiction, look honestly at myself, begin dealing with the damage my drinking had caused, and learn how to live differently. The staff didn’t simply tell me what I wanted to hear. They challenged me, supported me, encouraged me, and helped me begin doing the work that recovery required. There was also something incredibly special about the community of women there. We came from completely different backgrounds and walks of life, yet somehow we understood one another in ways that people outside of addiction sometimes can’t. There were tears and incredibly hard days, but there was also laughter, prayer, encouragement, and friendships that made those difficult days a little easier. My faith also became an important part of my healing. I can look back now and see God’s hand in so many details that I couldn’t understand while I was living through them. I walked into The Arbor feeling broken and hopeless. I did not walk out with a perfect life or every relationship instantly repaired, but I walked out with hope, tools, accountability, and a foundation for recovery. And then I went home and kept doing the work. Today, more than three years after my last drink, I am still sober. My marriage and family are healing, and relationships I once feared I had destroyed have experienced restoration that I wasn’t sure was possible. My life today is something I honestly could not have imagined when I first came to The Arbor. Treatment wasn’t easy. There were moments I wanted to leave. There were things I didn’t want to hear and things about myself I didn’t want to face. But looking back, I am grateful that treatment wasn’t simply made comfortable for me. I needed people willing to help me face the truth while also reminding me that my life was worth fighting for. I will always be grateful for The Arbor, the staff who poured into me, the women who walked beside me, and the role this place played in my recovery. It will forever be a transforming part of my story.

I went to the Arbor at my rock bottom in 2023. My life was falling apart around me and I could not pull myself out of the despair. My family reached out to the Arbor for help and I’m so grateful that they did. My time at the Arbor changed my life. My addiction had taken me so deep into despair that I didn’t even know where to begin to get my life back on track. The staff at the Arbor took their time to help me learn about myself and find out who I am. The time and care they took to teach me about addiction, boundaries, family systems and reliance on a higher power changed how I was able to approach life. They gave me the support and resources I needed to live a life in recovery and it has been beautiful. My family life, personal accountability and interpersonal relationships have completely shifted to allow for real connection for the first time in my life. This program works if you work it. I was at my lowest point 3 years ago and now I will be getting married to the love of my life this upcoming year. I owe everything to the Arbor and the people who make this place what it is.

Our family had a loved one stay at Rock Springs, and we are incredibly grateful for the care they received. Going into the experience, we were nervous after reading some of the reviews. I remember mentioning to a friend what our family was going through, and they shared that they had personally spent over a week at Rock Springs for detox several years ago. They told me they had a positive experience, and hearing that from someone I knew really helped put my mind at ease. We're so glad we kept an open mind because every person's experience is different. The social worker even explained that each patient's experience can vary depending on the group of patients there at the same time, which made a lot of sense. Our family member came home feeling like they truly learned valuable coping skills, gained a better understanding of how the brain works, and learned a lot about addiction and mental health. They also met some genuinely kind, supportive people during their stay and felt encouraged by both the staff and fellow patients. They even said the food wasn't bad! The staff was friendly and compassionate. Liliana, who handled the financial side, was very kind and helpful. Heidi, one of the nurses, made a positive impression, and Amy was also very helpful when we spoke with her. While communication with the treatment team was understandably limited, we respected that our family member is an adult and that the primary focus was on their recovery. We were able to visit, which meant a great deal to us. Our loved one came home saying they were genuinely glad they went and are ready to use what they learned in real-life situations. For our family, this experience was truly a blessing. If you're reading reviews because you're scared about making the decision to seek help, I encourage you not to let a few negative experiences make the decision for you. Every person's journey is different, and for our family, Rock Springs made a real difference.

After losing my son last year, Mother’s Day was incredibly difficult for me, and I ended up in the Sunrise Unit at Rock Springs. I cannot say enough good things about the staff there and the care I received. Annette is legitimately one of the most knowledgeable therapists I’ve ever met — you can mention almost any book or therapeutic concept, and she’s already read it and can discuss it thoughtfully. I learned so many skills from Annette’s groups. She is also deeply empathetic. Aaron, one of the nurses, has such a huge heart and genuinely cares about the patients. Jaimee, a behavioral tech, sat with me, held my hand, and hugged me while I talked about the loss of my son, a moment of kindness I will never forget. Maureen was always positive, attentive, and constantly checking in on everyone to make sure we were okay. I also really loved the yoga session with Jacob; it was one of my favorite parts of the program. I was specifically on the Sunrise Unit, so I can only speak to that experience, but they truly seem to have figured out how to create a compassionate and supportive environment. Most importantly, I felt heard. My treatment team listened to me, treated me like a person, and helped me through one of the hardest moments of my life. This is definitely where I would go if I was ever in crisis again.

I don't usually write reviews for businesses but this place and the staff have made such a difference in mine and other patients' lives, especially my counselor Becky and the receptionist Stacy. I see them bend over backwards every day to help me and everyone else who comes through here. I honestly don't know of any other business that will help get you to the clinic and back home when you can't find a ride. Just so you know, you can't ask for rides all the time, but for real emergencies, especially for people just starting their recovery, they'll go out of their way to help because they actually care. Come to think of it, the staff here are the only people I can think of who ask me not just if I'm doing okay on my medication, but if I'm doing okay period. Lately that's meant a lot. Methadone has made staying off fentanyl 100x easier, but it's also been the hardest thing I've done, staying off opiates after 12 years of daily use, especially with everything else going on in my life right now. This clinic's support has meant the world to me. I have a funny way of showing it though, I tend to go M.I.A. when things get hard. But even when she's got a full schedule, people waiting to see her, patients to check on in the lobby, my counselor Becky always finds a way to check on me and help me figure out whatever I'm dealing with so I can focus on staying sober instead of getting overwhelmed and giving up. That's something I know I need to work on myself. But I'm grateful for this medication and for a staff that makes this place a lifesaver for people like me. Thank you guys for everything you do! :)

They give you room to get your recovery on track without harping you. They meet you where you’re at and help encourage you along the way. This program truly saved my life! I'm giving them 5 stars because the people at this facility saved my life. I came to the facility extremely manic and under psychosis. I wanted to shout everyone who helped me but honestly it was most people in the hospital. Does this place have flaws of course but I've never been more comfortable in any other behavioral health facility. I almost lost my life at cedar hills in San Antonio. I felt so safe in this facility that I've been completely rehabilitated. I'm diagnosed with a lot mental disorders. Bipolar, Schizophrenia, ADD just to name a few. They never gave me any injections that I didn't need. The only thing they did to me that I didn't feel was necessary is lock me in seclusion. I'm not going to shout out specific names again because it was almost every staff. They don't need a shout out they need a raise. I will advocate for this facility and the money I earn from my lawsuits I will use a chunk of it to invest in this facility. Yes this place has flaws but it's full of wonder people who just want to make sure you're safe when you leave. The techs went above and beyond. The nurses were amazing and Doctor Leon was nice to me but definitely has a bit of an ego.

I went to Hill Country Counseling three times a week for close to a year. I got excellent guidance and counseling there from Michelle, one of the counselors there. Michelle was very professional and didn't judge me. She went above and beyond her "job" there, and took me to a crisis unit across town when she thought it best for me. Several years ago I had the displeasure of enduring a two year custody battle via a SAPCR case. Long, expensive, and brutal. Auburn was hired or assigned to our case as a GAL, and she was excellent in this role. Very detailed and diligent, and focused on what's best for the child. Since then we have used Auburn for visitation monitoring (of the other parent), and she has been excellent in this role as well. We've used a number of monitors over the years, and Auburn is easily the best of them. Stands up for the kids, can take the heat, and does what is right and best for them. I'm very glad that she was assigned to our case, and continues to provide visitation monitoring. Five stars.

I truly don’t understand all of these bad reviews; I suspect that most of them are from bitter parents who did not want their bad behavior exposed. If you want a a GAL or supervisor who will do the work and truly put your children’s welfare first, Dr. Gallagher is absolutely the best choice. I had heard horror stories about Guardians ad litem just phoning it in and not really caring to properly investigate to get to know the kids or the situation, so when it came time to get a GAL because of my kids’ abusive father, I was afraid that it would be for nothing. But Auburne proved to be the exception. Auburne hit the ground running, and it quickly became apparent that she is passionate about protecting and looking out for the best interests of children. It is not just a job for her; it is a mission. Auburne was extremely thorough. She conducted many interviews and collected records for everyone involved. And most importantly, she uncovered the truth about the abuse. She was fair-minded and made it very clear to me that she works for the children and not the parents. In fact, she got to know my children very well. In addition, Auburne was always professional with me in all communications, and she was very professional in court. In the end, Auburne made recommendations that would have helped my children’s father have a healthier relationship with the children. He refused to follow any of the recommendations, and he was furious that Auburne helped expose him for the abuser he is. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these negative reviews were written by him. If you want a supervisor or guardian ad litem that will actually do the hard work to learn the truth and put your children first, Auburne Gallagher is your woman.

I’ve been using this company for several years. They are reliable and dependable. They protect my children and have had to from their own mother on multiple occasions. What else matters? This is for and about our children, not us as parents. They have a system. Their techs are great, they know the rules and stick to them. Use this company for your children’s sake. When your children need to be protected from their own mentally ill mother, for example in my case, why you needed supervised visits for your children in the first place, they will do their job. Trust me there are far worse.

I had one teen attend the program and it was fantastic! They set my kids up to succeed and I was extremely satisfied with their consistent involvement and continued follow up. Phoenix House has a natural drive to help teens achieve their own level of success. I will defiantly keep this number saved.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Sincerely, Dustin❤️

Recovery unplugged changed my life in ways I never thought possible. The care for their clients went far beyond my expectations of rehabilitation centers. My counselor LuLu helped me find the understanding of myself needed to move forward from active addiction, my case manager Chloe provided me the resources needed to take the next steps, and my Alumni Coordinator Natalie has an incomparable heart for those in recovery as they take those next steps. The program also entrenches you in the Austin recovery community, intentionally becoming the connective tissue with society needed for rehabilitation from addiction. As someone who never wanted to step into rehab, I would recommend the program to anyone.

Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!
