This is a wonderful place! We stayed for my 40th birthday. Enjoyed being in the peace and quiet to really reflect. The amenities are great with a gym for people who actually lift weights! 💪 Thank you Maggie and Matt for everything!

Stunning views, luxurious accommodations, utter quiet, and a breathtaking night sky all combine to make High Frontier the perfect place to rest and recharge. Whether you just need a couple days away from it all or want to bring family and friends together in a beautiful setting, this modern, upscale destination is ideal. I stayed at Field House #2 with family and friends, with more friends just next door (we shared a huge patio with comfortable seating and an unforgettable view of the sunrise). The cabin was incredible: as someone who has stayed in many vacation rentals and air b and b's, I was shocked to find brand-new furnishings, a sleek gourmet kitchen (check out the lighted drawers in the photo below), a bathroom I wanted to dig up and take home, and so many extra touches. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, so you can be truly private, and the construction is so sound that once you close your door, you can't hear conversation from the main living area or the next bedroom. This is such a boon if you have small children who need quiet at naptime and bedtime, or if your group includes early-to-bedders as well as night owls, as my gang did. The huge flatscreen in the living room can stay loud all it wants -- you won't hear a thing in your bedroom! High Frontier is self-catering, and the kitchen redefines "well stocked." Coffee is waiting for you, and the drawers contain all the pots, pans, and cooking implements you could wish. Again, if you have ever rented a place that promised a stocked kitchen and turned out to be lacking a can opener, colander, or sharp knife, you will really appreciate High Frontier. And like every room in the cabin, the kitchen has huge windows with breathtaking vistas. One note about the light-flooded rooms: every single window has blackout as well as light-filtering curtains, so you won't wake at dawn with the sun in your eyes unless you choose to! And the atmosphere of the place is so restful: a midcentury modern vibe with lots of empty space, zero clutter, and great work areas, such as the huge island (with seating) in the kitchen, perfect for laptops, jigsaw puzzles, and big cooking projects. But as comfy as Field House #2 was, I didn't spend as much time in it as I wanted, because the outdoors is simply so compelling. The first thing you notice is the quiet, and the second is the vast empty space. Little trails and roads meander out beyond the field houses, and a big central lawn makes a great place for the group to toss a ball or the kids to burn off some energy. Just across the lawn from Field House #2 is the pool, complete with loungers and a fire pit. It's a great place to wind down in the evening. And then comes the best part: the night sky! I live in west Texas, so I thought I saw a starry sky every night at home, but I had no idea what I was missing. I hadn't seen the Milky Way stretched across the entire firmament like that since I was a child. You will want to lie down on one of the chaise longues on your patio and just gaze up at the sky. Amazing! High Frontier is an unforgettable place. It's just across the road from the entrance to the Chihuahua Desert Research Center, and a short drive from Fort Davis, Marfa, Alpine, etc. (On our drive from High Frontier to Marfa, we saw dozens of antelope!) The McDonald Observatory should be on your bucket list too. This is just a wonderful little corner of Texas, and you will be so glad you discovered it.

My child was recently a patient at your facility. I am so thankful for the care that was provided to him. He normally tends to hide away from strangers, however, during his time there he was able to form a bond with one of your workers, Samantha. She looked out for him and he has nothing but nice things to say about her. Thank you Samantha for all that you did for my son. I hope others have as pleasant of an experience as we have had. I was visiting family there and one of the nurses there, Samantha I believe, or Sam, was very kind and funny. And genuinely seemed like she cared about the children and patients there. She was really helpful and made the experience there a pleasant one. I had heard not great things about the place and that the staff was rude and uncaring. But she surprised me by how good of a person she was. It made me feel more relieved about having a family member there with someone like her around.

My wife and I are both 100% P&T, and the El Paso VA Main Clinic has consistently taken excellent care of us. The dental clinic is phenomenal—though appointments can sometimes take a little while, the quality of care makes it well worth it. The radiology department staff are always professional, friendly, and attentive. The community care process can be a bit challenging at times, but it does pay off in the end. On top of that, the cafeteria food is surprisingly delicious. Overall, the El Paso VA truly takes pride in caring for veterans, and it shows in the way they treat us.

I recently moved to New mexico from Colorado. The VA hospital in El Paso is very easy to find. I found the staff there to be very helpful and courteous. They treated me with respect.and I was seen at my appointment time and had no problems. Although the care that I got in Colorado was just as good, the wait times for many things there were much longer than they are here. I am happy with the VA clinics and hospital here.

Humphrey house is a place for the kids in our communtiy to go and be kept in their community and in the state. Families and youth have an opportunity to work together on their target goals together. Sometimes Humphrey House is often the better choice than the home for whatever reasons and that's just being honest. As always when looking at the whole picture you may not always get the answers and results you want but you get what you need. Humphrey house provides just that place that is needed even during the times it isn't wanted. It takes a village. And a village isn't perfect but they are willing to keep trying.

My boyfriend is currently a patient at this facility. He tells me stories about his stay when he calls me. He was supposed to get discharged today according to Dr. he did not get discharged, why lie to your patients??? Dr shows up late and sometimes doesnt show up at all to speak to his patients. Next, the food he says the food is good if you are hungry but it is the same thing repeatedly why not have a variety??. I am only giving this review 5 stars because of certain techs/nurses. In his words "ISMAEL is great and treats us like people but unfortunately he only works during the week. Weekends are different techs and nurses, PAUL is great when he passes out our medicine he interacts with us and asks how our day went, ALEX is a cool guy he jokes with us and tries to make our day go by good, he wakes us up respectfully, and always gets things done, he speaks to us about our day and knows what to say to make us feel better, he cares about us even though he always is serious hes a cool guy, his partner though MAT is rude and makes us feel like a bother he makes faces to us when we ask for something like towels to shower or to change the movie he is just plain rude to us. VICTORIA is amazing she cares about us and our well being she speaks and jokes with all of us, she is able to speak to us and get our minds right if we are upset or sad, she encourages us to interact with group therapy and other activities and not just stay in our rooms asleep, for me that was great because I felt good after gym." Thank you to these techs/nurses who are trying to make a difference and care about your patients, there are not many of you!
