I can’t say enough good things about Driftwood Recovery. From the beginning, they customize treatment to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. The level of care, compassion, and support I received was incredible. What makes Driftwood especially unique is that the care doesn’t end when you leave the program. Recovery unplugged changed my life in ways I never thought possible. The care for their clients went far beyond my expectations of rehabilitation centers. My counselor LuLu helped me find the understanding of myself needed to move forward from active addiction, my case manager Chloe provided me the resources needed to take the next steps, and my Alumni Coordinator Natalie has an incomparable heart for those in recovery as they take those next steps. The program also entrenches you in the Austin recovery community, intentionally becoming the connective tissue with society needed for rehabilitation from addiction. As someone who never wanted to step into rehab, I would recommend the program to anyone.

I was a client here and stayed for 3 months. I honestly only had the intention to stay 1. Each month I agreed to extend because this place was worth it. One of my character flaws is perfectionism and I could complain about some small issues, but honestly that's irrelevant to the support and care I received. After detox, I was assigned the absolute best therapist I have ever had and several amazing recovery coaches that helped me work through my personal issues, legal problems, and my FMLA so I had a job to return to. I learned more about mental health, addictions, and coping skills then I ever expected. I met lot of amazing friends that I still keep in regular contact with since my departure and most of the staff are incredibly loving and caring. Food and facility cleanliness was also great. Overall, I had my ups and downs, but was shown to overcome them and have been thriving more than I had in a long time before arriving to windmill. God always keeps my life "interesting", but I'm glad this place came into my life.

Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!

Heartwood Recovery truly saved my life. From the moment I got there, I felt like I was surrounded by people who actually cared about me and wanted to see me succeed. Being a young adult in recovery can be difficult, but Heartwood does an amazing job helping younger guys feel comfortable, connected, and understood. One of the biggest things I took away from Heartwood was the brotherhood. I built real relationships with people who were going through the same things as me, and that made a huge difference in my recovery. The combination of the 12 steps, clinical support, recovery coaches, and staff gave me the structure and tools I needed to start building a better life. The outings were great, the food was honestly amazing, and the entire staff made Heartwood feel more like a community than a treatment center. I’ll always be grateful for my time there and the people I met. Heartwood didn’t just help me get sober, it helped me learn how to live again. I can genuinely say Heartwood saved my life, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for real help.

Overall good treatment center. Great therapists and all that. If you’re looking for addiction treatment I’d definitely try applying to go there. But if you need mental health treatment, you’d best look elsewhere since they only deal with mental health as it relates to addiction. Just coping skills training & some psych-ed. Not much art therapy if that’s your thing. Also, they don’t really help you find a job so just be aware of that too. I would go to them again if I relapsed I guess. They’ll get you to 6 months sober at least. Being discharged too early before I felt like I was ready activated my abandonment wound though.

My experience with Alpha (Now Release) was wonderful. This is where my experience with addiction recovery became enjoyable not just a chore. I found a distinctive unique experience. They helped me learn how to live in the outside world and experience life in ways that changed my perspective of the world. I would like to share that Recovery Unplugged, Albert Road, is a step above all the rest. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful, nursing staff is compassionate and caring and let me say the therapists are the best. The food is on par and the activities are fun and exciting. I also want to mention the alumni coordinators Sarah and Ross, big kudos to them. They are always big fun!

Oh man, this place is a game-changer! I never thought a rehab situation could be so much fun, AND help me achieve my ultimate goal of sobriety. This place did both. I had a very positive experience with Austin Recovery Center in downtown Austin while completing my IOP counseling program. Hector A. was sincere, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to, and he made it comfortable to have meaningful conversations about some of life's more difficult experiences. His guidance helped me work through an uneasy period in a positive and constructive way, and I'm proud to say I successfully completed the program. Although I completed the program requirements, I still check in from time to time at the downtown location. I always feel comfortable there and leave with a positive experience. I'm grateful for the support I received from Hector and the Austin Recovery Center team and would recommend them to anyone looking for a supportive and understanding environment during their recovery. I had the opportunity to work with Blake Goldstein, and she is kind, compassionate and incredibly skilled at her job. The people who work here are committed to support recovery in this world that can be so hard to navigate, and it was refreshing and encouraging to see the devotion and expertise on each level of the treatment team, including therapists, business development, and administration. Beyond the logistics, I felt a truly loving and warm feel when I went to the residential and IOP location. This place changes lives. Its helped me to have the tools to accurately address and process what my addiction and addictive behaviors look like both mentally and physically. How my trauma has played a role in my life and how to deal with it and myself daily. The amount of growth that can be gained in a few weeks and months is a miracle. It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It’s a special room & To say that I’m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift 🙏 I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

I hope this review reaches you when you’re feeling like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.” It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn’t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference—it was Robert’s belief in me. He didn’t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. I was just discharged from The Right Step, Wimberley, TX, yesterday. This place and all of their AMAZING staff, including RAs, Counselor, Doctors, Nurses, Kitchen staff SAVED MY LIFE! After years of addiction I feel stronger and more equipped to face this disease head on. There are only minor things I would change: I think the women should have a large covered smoking area like the men do. The two small covered areas would get soaked in the rain and we were still required to smoke there. We would have to stand there to have a cigarette because chairs were soaked. It was cold, wet and uncomfortable. I think the women deserve an equivalent to the men, who have a large roof covered patio. It's only fair. Otherwise, not much to complain about. Some staff were better, kinder than others, but I won't name drop here. Overall, I would definitely choose them over again. Going to Right Step was the best decision of my life and I am grateful beyond words!

This place was nothing less than stellar. The staff was very professional from the therapists to the techs. Heather, Kayja and Julian are top tier. If you failed at this place it's because you did not apply yourself. Advocate for yourself, the staff at Omega are not magicians, they are there to educate and guide you in the right direction. I came to Omaga broken and angry and left a better person. Everyone there was always accommodating and willing to help. Following a serious fall and subsequent spinal surgery, my brother spent several months in Texas NeuroRehab Center’s PABI Program. The exceptional care he received there has made a remarkable difference in his recovery. Through intensive daily therapy and a truly compassionate team, he made major progress in strength, mobility, daily living skills, and independence, giving him the foundation needed to continue his rehabilitation. The PABI unit itself is bright, clean, comfortable and well-maintained, with extensive rehab equipment and materials, but also has a homelike feel, where residents can enjoy meals and downtime together. This helps foster a sense of community, while still providing the intensive rehabilitation needed. The TexasNeuro PABI staff— Holly, Laura, Dr. Filipetto, and the entire Nursing, OT, PT, Speech, and Care Team— are phenomenal. They pair top-tier clinical expertise with outstanding patience, kindness, and communication. This compassionate, supportive approach provided the encouragement my brother needed to not only work hard, but stay motivated, through a challenging recovery. And— always willing to go the extra mile— the team provided support for my brother’s outpatient procedures during his stay, which significantly improved his medical outcomes and greatly reduced stress on our family. Tying this incredible team effort together was our dedicated Case Manager, who provided another layer of critical support— keeping us informed, coordinating appointments and meetings, and helping us navigate next steps— all the while offering a kind, empathetic ear when our family needed it most. It's scary to make this decision. You're giving up the thing that has gotten you through life for so long. It's like letting a best friend go. However, it will be the BEST decision you have ever made in your entire life. It's true. The only regret will be you not doing this sooner. There is a way out of hell and this is it. The women working up there are the best. Stop looking for other clinics right now because you found the one. This is also a one stop shop for your other psychiatric medications, not just methadone or buprenorphine. Got depression or adhd as well? No problem, they will help you with that too! They also offer acupuncture and EMDR. They have multiple group sessions each week day and they actually help. It's precious how these cute girls handle the medicine like pros. They are so sweet too. Just don't lie to them. They know if you are and they help you more when you're honest and actually trying. When you prove yourself with clean UAs overtime, they will work even harder to ensure you're successful. I have both pain and opiate use disorder and they are helping me manage my pain and my opiate use disorder. Guess what? It's working. Dr. Aeschbach knows her stuff and consider yourself lucky if you're able to be under her care.

These people saved my life and my entire psyche. I have been away from addiction for over 15 years now. I often reflect on how profound that experience was going through their clinic. Before, I had moralized my distress, addiction and self-medication, viewing it as a personal flaw. But through their scientific system, I was able to heal and fully integrate back into society. It feels wild leaving a review for an institution like this 15 years later, but their impact is truly lifelong. I’m so grateful to Dr. Aeschbach, and to Dr. Aeschbach-Jachmann. They are true carers with a foundation in medicine and psychiatry that is sadly not found often. If any of you working at the clinic read this - thank you! My son was at this facility. At first I had a few little issues with some of the staff but learned my son was the issue not the staff. The 2 staff members I dealt with the most were Crystal and Austin and I have the upmost respect for them they both had went above and beyond to try to help my son with his issues and he ended up needing to go to a more strict facility and Austin and Crystal went above and beyond to find a facility that could help him better and Crystal went above and beyond and took time out of her busy day to take him to that facility so I didn’t have to drive for 2 days to get there to take him. I am forever grateful for everything Austin and Crystal have done to get my son the help he needs.

Long overdue post: I attended this center around 3 years ago and did PHP, and it was by far my favorite center. I’ve been to many different mental health centers, and after going to this one, I never felt like I needed to go again. The staff there made me feel supported and I made many friends there. I developed great coping skills here, and my mental health has only gotten better since leaving this treatment. I still think about it almost everyday because of the wonderful experience I had. Some of my favorite parts included doing group yoga, walking near lady bird, and doing art projects. I am happy to say that this program is one of the reasons I am still here today.

I got sober in residential treatment. But I learned how to stay sober in sober living. Living at Hyde Park mens for 8 months is the main reason I’m 4 years sober today. This place provided the structure and support I needed when transitioning back to the “real” world. Leaving inpatient can be extremely tough. You hit the pause button on your life for a bit but then you find yourself thrown right back into the fold. Nothing has changed except for you. It was in the Arbor’s sober living that I really got to put what I learned into practice. And when I got off course, I had an entire community to help get me back on the right track.
