Driftwood genuinely saved my life, and helped my family find peace, connection, and joy during the long journey of addiction recovery. I started my recovery journey with Driftwood Recovery on 9/28/2017 and have had continuous recovery since. The facility, food, staff, education, and treatment team are top notch, A+, 5 Star. What really sets Driftwood apart is their community integration program post impatient treatment. The alumni group is strong and gets together weekly in addition to several events throughout the year. There are camping trips to state parks (Big Bend) annual Christmas party (over 150 staff and alumni attend each year), bowling, sporting events, concerts etc. I just returned from Peru on a trip that was hosted by Driftwood. We had a total of 18 on this trip, a trip that still has me smiling! If you are seeking help for yourself or a loved one I highly recommend Driftwood. Driftwood changed my life, sounds dramatic but it is very true!

The Windmill Wellness Ranch is an inpatient rehab and recovery center located close to San Antonio in Canyon Lake, Texas. Here, they treat adults with substance use and co-occurring (dual diagnosis) disorders. If you’re a veteran then it’s good to know that the center is in-network with TRICARE insurance. They also accept most major insurance.
I am a born pessimist, so I spent a great deal of time looking into this place. First, I found nothing negative whatsoever, Secondly, I spent 60 days here and cried leaving. This place and ALL of it's staff saved my life. I can remember spending countless times in the nurses station, at the wellness advocates desk, and even in the Blanco hall, talking to the different staff about my days, my problems, my achievements, etc. And EVERY SINGLE PERSON TOOK THE TIME TO LISTEN AND HELP OR CHEER ME ON!! There's not a staff member in this place that doesn't care about each person. The therapy sessions are incredible and I can't thank them enough for showing me I wasn't hopeless and giving me all the tools I need to have a beautiful, healthy and sober life. I am 45 years old, and I never thought this was possible.

Windmill Wellness Ranch has truly changed my life in ways I never expected. I ve been to multiple treatment facilities over the last decade and felt that I was mentally, physically and spiritually hopeless. I felt I was a lost cause. I have had experience with 12 step programs before and assumed this experience would be like the others. I was wrong. Windmill Wellness Ranch and the staff they employ offer so much more than just a place to get sober and try twelve steps. From the admissions personnel to the wellness advocates, the therapists and the recovery coaches, I ve never met a team of people so willing to bend over backwards to help me reach my personal goals. Through WWR I was able to process a great deal of trauma successfully, while at the same time gain some phenomenal insight on how to grow in a life centered around permanent sobriety. The employees genuinely care about people and most are in recovery themselves. My time at Windmill Wellness Ranch has truly made a permanent positive impact in my life and in the lives of the people I love.

I'm going on 80 days sober because this place helped me. I loved the Trauma inpatient program. PHP was okay, I felt like it was lacking counseling and also I felt like it was non stop getting in and out of busses. You'll get your phone on lunch and like 90min on Saturday which is nice. But on Sunday when you should be calling friends and family you don't get your phone. The house on 1st street stayed nasty. I brought it up to the techs several times and nothing changed. I would give this place 5 stars but the aftercare completely sucked. I had no idea how sober houses worked or how to get into one. I had to stress out my final day because I had nowhere to go. Also I had no idea how to get a scholarship or even fill my meds... im in their IOP program currently and I'm enjoying it. Aftercare definitely needs to be worked on. I've also talked to many people after they got through with PHP and they had the same opinion. Thanksz that's my Ted Talk.

Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. But from the very first phone call, the staff made us feel supported and heard. The intake process was smooth, and they took the time to carefully explain every step of the program, ensuring we were fully informed and comfortable moving forward. The team of counselors, therapists, and support staff is exceptional. They truly understand the challenges young people face and have a unique ability to connect with teens in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. My son has made incredible progress, thanks to their individualized approach that takes into account not only the addiction itself, but also the emotional, psychological, and social factors that contribute to it.What stands out most about this center is their holistic approach. They don t just treat the addiction they work on building self-esteem, coping strategies, and life skills that are crucial for long-term success. The therapists created a safe space for my son to open up, express his feelings, and rebuild trust. It s clear that the staff genuinely care about the well-being of their patients and their families. The outpatient program was tailored to my son's needs, allowing us to balance treatment with school and other activities. The center also encourages family involvement and offers parental support and therapy, which has been crucial for my understanding and support of my son's recovery journey. The progress I've seen in my teenager over the past few months is remarkable. Not only has he shown an improved attitude toward his recovery, but I've also noticed a significant positive shift in his overall mood and outlook on life. We are beyond grateful to Alpha for giving our family hope and helping my teenager reclaim his future. If you're looking for a compassionate, professional, and effective treatment program for a young person struggling with addiction, I wholeheartedly recommend Alpha 180. They truly saved my son and gave us the tools we need to continue on this journey together.JennParent of Alpha Patient

Recovery Unplugged was a god send. Im truly appreciative of their trauma program and of their staff. I ve never been to treatment before and i was worried staff would just be there for a paycheck but that wasn't the case whatsoever. Staff was kind and patient. They take the time to see how you're doing and truly care. Counselors are real awesome. To be honest I didn't even know it was a trauma center and when I found out I was able to let go of the trauma thats been haunting me for all these years. I thought i was going to take it all to my grave and im glad my counselor Amy made me feel comfortable and safe to do so. The techs are awesome and treat everyone with respect and kindness. The food is awesome there as well. If you have dietary restrictions or needs they will cater to those needs and are super friendly. Alumni coordinators are super friendly and check up on ya after you leave the program. They also set up these cool events you can attend to for free as RU Alumni. This place ROCKS! Highly recommend it.

This place is so amazing. I was just a scared, strong out girl from east Texas when I arrived arvRecivery Unplugged on Albert Road. They did my intake at 3am, made me comfortable, and put me to bed. I went to sleep and woke up to the most amazing staff waiting to greet me and start the process of detoxing my mind and body and getting me well. Throughout my stay. I was treated with the utmost respect. There was not once that I felt like less than family to these wonderful people. The nurses were at my bedside checking my vitals, the techs were assessing my comfort. My dog was accepted and loved. After detox, the work began. But it never felt hard or overwhelming. The program is easy to follow. There was always someone who could answer questions or concerns. Even in the middle of the night. I just graduated the full 4 month program for Recovery Unplugged. I am a far cry from the girl I came in as. I am a sober woman, in Austin, with an apartment a job and a bright future. Thank you recovery Unplugged. I can not express my gratitude enough. You guys are incredible

I have waited for over a year to write this review to ensure my time at Sage was indeed "life-changing". I can now confidently say, my decision to seek therapy there was one of the best decisions I have ever made. For over 30 years I struggled with depression and anxiety and turned to alcohol to cope. But thanks to the therapists and counselors at the center, I now have the resources to manage my emotions in a healthy way. I feel like I've regained control of my life, and I'm excited to move forward with a new sense of confidence and purpose.I also attend their alumni group, which offers individuals free, weekly social events that provide ongoing support, education, and networking opportunities. It's an excellent resource for anyone in recovery who wants to continue their journey towards wellness and a better life.Overall, I would highly recommend Sage Recovery Center to anyone struggling with addiction or mental health issues. It s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & the Room @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call the room . Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey . Who is Kat? Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn t otherwise talk about I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It s a special room & To say that I m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

I hope this review reaches you when you re feeling like you ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it s not on your best day it s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child and smiled. Hey Bud, we re going to get through this. And I don t just mean maintain I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John. It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference it was Robert s belief in me.He didn t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. PRC, and especially Robert Kidd, are the reasons I m here today, thriving. If you re considering PRC here in San Marcos, know that it could be the place where your life changes too.

Hello My name is Massey and I'm someone living in recovery for 8 years 1 month and 13 days. Without Robert Kidd and Positive Recovery, I would not be able to say that. What was provided to me was a safe space to come in out of the dark and learn that it was ok-that I would be ok. I was given an opportunity to improve my quality of life through ownership and action. All that was required of me was that I hold myself accountable. For over 35 years I struggled not just with addiction but fear stemming from years of trauma and suppression. Mr Kidd and Positive Recovery through their methodology and genuine compassion provided me a road map to another way. I will always be an addict. That is what I am, but that is no longer WHO I am thanks to the truth that Positive Recovery provided me. Today who I am is a father husband and quite simply someone that is no longer afraid of being afraid.Words cannot articulate the amount of gratitude I have for Mr Kidd and his team. Thank you for holding me accountable showing me how to do the work and helping me know that I will be okSincerelyMassey B

I waited 6 months post-rehab to write my review. I am 6 months sober and I wanted to give a shout out to The Right Step for being part of my journey. The staff are professional, personable, and knowledgeable. My favorite aspect was related to choice; TRS follows a 12-step model primarily but other modalities are allowed to be embraced. I attribute this largely to my success in my sobriety journey. Many rehabs are militant and belittle substance abusers and make it the actual institutions journey to solve and minimize the participant. We were spoken to like competent adults while receiving treatment. From an administrative standpoint I have to point out Georgiana for her extreme professionalism; I attribute her largely to preserving my job while I went to treatment. I was able to focus on treatment and she had an incredible amount of paperwork to complete. I also would likely not be sober today without my counselor Camille. Camille went above in beyond and helped me untangle all the things holding me from being able to move on from this stage of my life while embracing a recovery approach to life. I cannot express my gratitude enough. Thank you, TRS.

I was lucky enough to find this place for my daughter who suffers from addiction. Spencer with admissions was very helpful from the beginning. My daughter said all of the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, specifically Ian, Sarah, and Baylor. She was also set up with a great aftercare plan. Thank you for everything you do Omega!

I came to Omega more broken than I ever imagined was possible. After 6 years of trauma after trauma I was broken shell of myself. I lost 3 brothers to drug OD, one was on Christmas morning in my home. I was suffering from severe depression, anxiety, disassociation and alcoholism. I tried my best on my own for a year going to AA and intensive therapy but was not getting any better. After a year of trying on my own I found Omega. I started in the commuter program but was struggling. It was suggested that I move into the house. I was completely against the idea. I am a mom how could I leave my kids?? The staff took the time to talk with me about my fears. How could I not get the help I so desperately needed, I took leap of faith. I moved into the house 2 days before Christmas. This program saved my life. I was diagnosed with CPTSD. I had been on medications that were making everything worse. I m so grateful to the staff for helping me get the correct diagnosis and on the right medication s. It wasn t easy. I was tested in many different ways. The program mimics challenges you will face in everyday life. This program will teach you how to face challenges in healthy ways. Most importantly you will learn about yourself, and why you behave certain ways. If you embrace the hard moments and search yourself you WILL learn a better way. At omega and with any program your attitude and what you put into it is what you will get out of it. They provide you with all of tools it s up to you to use them. Embrace the hard. Get uncomfortable. The day I was deciding to come into the house one of the techs Jackson told me that the hard and the uncomfortable is how you grow. It s what pushes you to the next level. In 6 short weeks I have grown more than I ever imagined possible. Omega is unlike any other program in Austin. I highly recommend it for mental health or addiction issues of any kind. You are worth it. Take a leap of faith. Embrace the hard. Embrace the uncomfortable.

Best VA services I received, so far. I have VA care in many locations, big and small, from WA to AZ. Most of my specialties care could be in house, which is a lot better than many community care. With good planning, one can get all neccessary appts lined up to your schedules.

i did discovery's iop and php program and it completely changed my mental health for the better. i've been to a handful of treatment programs and this one was by far the best. i was in such an awful place at the time and after finishing up the program i honestly feel like a new person. the therapists and staff always go above and beyond. they're funny, kind, and honestly make you feel safe. i highly recommend discovery to anyone struggling with mental illness. part of me was sad to leave!

I m very grateful for this program. Mental health is something to be taken seriously and from day one I always felt like Discovery and the staff understood that and stand by it. My mental health and personal development benefitted greatly from attending Discovery. There were times where the things we did felt a little repetitive but I did see the benefit in revisiting things as well. I appreciated the patience and encouragement to get better.Shout out to all the staff everyone was extremely awesome and I m gonna miss them all!

Our 34 year old daughter was in Texas NeuroRehab Post acute brain injury center for over 2 months after a severe brainstem stroke. Her care there was outstanding. The staff went above expectations to help her. Literally every employee was kind and went the extra mile to make her stay comfortable and productive. She was treated with love and respect and made to feel like a family member. I would highly recommend this facility.

They took very good care of our daughter and provided very good support and services. I would highly recommend this place for adolescents needing help. They really take the time to individualize care and provide for their safety and comfort. I m not sure why other people had such negative reviews because nothing like those things happened while my daughter was there and she was there for 45 days. I never felt that the safety of my child was compromised. Her mental health was well-looked after.

I was a patient here late 2020, and let me tell you, they helped me so much where short term inpatient hospitals could never. The staff absolutely rock. I ve learned so much and Bolu, my therapist there had taught me so many coping skills and even though it took me a while to use them, this place and the staff there helped shape me into the healthier person i am today

This RTC gave me such a wonderful experience and made me see myself as a different person (in a good way)I came here in the summer of 2023 because I had just attempted suicide and also had other mental health issues prior to that. When I first got to Discovery I was praying that insurance wouldn't cover it because I did not want to be there and waste my summer again, but when I got there everyone was so welcoming and the RTC that I went to in 2022 was not like that (I DON'T RECOMMEND MERIDELL ACHIEVEMENT CENTER) but this place had a different vibe. Discovery actually felt like a place were I could actually be myself and I could actually trust my peers and staff, and I could and did. I loved it so much to the point when my therapist told me my discharge date I cried because I didn't want to leave, and when it was my discharge day I cried because I didn't want to go back to my mom. But the fact that I was only there for 27 days and my previous one I was there for 45 is crazy. I recommend this place!Everyone there is so kind and accepting.

I got sober in residential treatment. But I learned how to stay sober in sober living. Living at Hyde Park mens for 8 months is the main reason I m 4 years sober today. This place provided the structure and support I needed when transitioning back to the real world. Leaving inpatient can be extremely tough. You hit the pause button on your life for a bit but then you find yourself thrown right back into the fold. Nothing has changed except for you. It was in the Arbor s sober living that I really got to put what I learned into practice. And when I got off course, I had an entire community to help get me back on the right track. I will be forever grateful for my experience with this house.

This location off of Airport Blvd is amazing. I stayed at The Inn for a week with some concerning mental health issues I've never experienced before. The entire staff, from the monitors to the nurses and medication staff, I mean literally, everyone made my time there comfortable and got me all the help I needed. They always had answers for me on anything I had concerns with. One person in particular named Marc Bickgen has shown the most of anyone. He has helped me and taught me so much. He comes to my location for counseling since my wife is using our truck for work. He is always on time, and never once has he looked at the clock to try and run out the door. We have had two sessions at my apartment, so his knowledge and leadership with me in my time of need has been an absolute blessing. I've never been shown the respect or had any counselor take the time to show what it means to have a non judgemental, non biased, no opinion, and provide more tools than I have ever known I possessed to help me.The Inn and Integral Care have been a life changing experience for me, and for the first time in years, I am hopeful with the future. Thanks again to Marc B. and the rest of the staff at the Airport Blvd location.

Driftwood was a wonderful place for my daughter to deal with her substance addiction and mental illness. The staff was very qualified and services for her mental health needs were excellent. The program created a family environment that supported each other during inpatient, outpatient and aftercare. They have a well planned Family weekend that was essential in helping us, help her as best we can. Driftwood taught my daughter to enjoy life without needing to escape it with drugs. They plan activities for alumni often and meet weekly. I believe their approach and staff are one of the best in the area. The only negative was that I had to advocate for my daughter to receive some of the therapies promised at admission. Once I talked to the staff they followed through and she received the agreed upon treatment. So I consider that a minor problem and it was resolved quickly. I would recommend Driftwood Recovery to anyone needing this type of services.
