I have had the pleasure of working with Kelsey from Infinite Recovery and have been consistently impressed by her dedication and compassion. One case that stands out involved a client who had been struggling to find the right treatment placement for quite some time despite multiple barriers and setbacks. Kelsey remained persistent, explored every available option, and maintained excellent communication throughout the process. Thanks to her hard work and advocacy, the client was ultimately placed in the care they needed. She is an incredible community partner who genuinely cares about helping people find recovery and support.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Sincerely, Dustin❤️

Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!

Never thought I'd be reviewing a detox/rehab facility, but Recovery Unplugged delivered. The medical team handled my detox efficiently and continued to manage my medical need throughout my residential stay. My therapist Carolyn was always available and helped me develop a solid plan for my continued recovery. The tech staff kept things moving smoothly. The meals were good for the most part (i'm pretty picky.) There was no shortage of snacks during my stay. I hope to never come back to Recovery, but would recommend it to anyone who is ready to take back their life from addiction.

I was just discharged from The Right Step, Wimberley, TX, yesterday. This place and all of their AMAZING staff, including RAs, Counselor, Doctors, Nurses, Kitchen staff SAVED MY LIFE! After years of addiction I feel stronger and more equipped to face this disease head on. There are only minor things I would change: I think the women should have a large covered smoking area like the men do. The two small covered areas would get soaked in the rain and we were still required to smoke there. We would have to stand there to have a cigarette because chairs were soaked. It was cold, wet and uncomfortable. I think the women deserve an equivalent to the men, who have a large roof covered patio. It's only fair. Otherwise, not much to complain about. Some staff were better, kinder than others, but I won't name drop here. Overall, I would definitely choose them over again. Going to Right Step was the best decision of my life and I am grateful beyond words!

This place changes lives. Its helped me to have the tools to accurately address and process what my addiction and addictive behaviors look like both mentally and physically. How my trauma has played a role in my life and how to deal with it and myself daily. The amount of growth that can be gained in a few weeks and months is a miracle. Robert Kidd and his team do an amazing job prompting, listening, and directing healing and true recovery. Its all about being healthy in the end. He serves to help people be healthy and does better than could ever be expected. I will always owe and have gratitude for this place. Mr. Kidd will always have my biggest level of respect.

It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It’s a special room & To say that I’m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift 🙏 I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

I hope this review reaches you when you’re feeling like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.” It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn’t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference—it was Robert’s belief in me. He didn’t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. PRC, and especially Robert Kidd, are the reasons I’m here today, thriving. If you’re considering PRC here in San Marcos, know that it could be the place where your life changes too.

I wish I could adequately express my gratitude and admiration for Driftwood Recovery. This place and the staff members and alumni who offered expert support to our young adult son and to our family are sacred to me. As a mental health professional myself, I knew that the key to my son’s healing would require a level of trauma-informed inpatient care that is very difficult to find, especially in the state of Texas. Our son had so many complex issues and the staff offered tremendous empathy while also requiring his accountability. My son found joy, connection, friendship, and a new way of living during his time at Driftwood and then at Riverside. This recovery community is truly outstanding and I could never thank their leadership team enough for welcoming our Tim and opening the doors to a life of meaning and purpose.

Stage Recovery is filled with loving, skilled, and attentive staff. They use a holistic model, and honor the natural world and other powerful modalities of healing. I had the opportunity to work with Blake Goldstein, and she is kind, compassionate and incredibly skilled at her job. The people who work here are committed to support recovery in this world that can be so hard to navigate, and it was refreshing and encouraging to see the devotion and expertise on each level of the treatment team, including therapists, business development, and administration. Beyond the logistics, I felt a truly loving and warm feel when I went to the residential and IOP location. I would highly recommend Sage for a chance to reset and pivot from whatever is blocking you from living in your highest purpose.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sage Recovery and Wellness Center is truly a healing place. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the peace and care that went into creating such a beautiful environment. The property itself is stunning — from the pool and hot tub to the cozy spaces throughout the villa (which feels more like a luxury home than a facility). The daily schedule may look full at first, but it’s so thoughtfully structured. Over time, you start building healthy habits and routines that carry into your everyday life after you leave. Some of my favorite parts were equine therapy at the Healing Horses Ranch (the staff there are amazing!), accudetox, yoga, and personal training. Everything is designed to help you reconnect with yourself and appreciate the little things again. The villa is gorgeous — spacious, peaceful, and filled with comforts like books to read, a beautiful kitchen, and incredible chef-made meals. But what truly makes Sage special is the staff. They don’t just show up for you — they get down in the trenches with you. They listen, they care, and they help guide you out of the darkness with compassion and understanding. The clients I met there became like family. Everyone is going through something, and it’s so powerful to feel seen, supported, and understood in that way. The therapists and curriculum are absolutely life-changing — I learned so many coping skills that I use every day. I am beyond grateful for my time at Sage. It was one of the most transformative experiences of my life, and I genuinely believe they saved my life. If you’re ready to work on yourself and heal, this is the place to do it. 💛

I'm leaving this comment because of my counselor, Chad. Here's by far, in my very long time at this outpatient center, the most caring and knowledgeable counselor I have ever had the pleasure of being assigned to. It would take me a novels worth of verbiage and wording to explain how far he goes to help me. Not only is he incredibly perceptive, but he is able to adapt his manner of help and counseling to each individual's way of retaining that help. I've been receiving treatment from this facility even before it was cms, back when it was still called Mars. So I've seen countless counselors come and go, and one little thing that stands out amongst all of the counselors that I've been assigned to is that Chad is the only one who has ever said "don't hesitate to give me a call if you're having a bad day, or you just need someone to talk to, or if something's going wrong and you need some advice. If I'm here at the office, I'll MAKE time to talk", and he means it. There's been many times where I have had to reach out to him, when having a bad day or in a situation where I needed advice, and he does his best to relay any and all help he can. A while back I had started looking at other treatment facilities, around the same time that he came on board at CMS and I got assigned to him. And I have to say, if it weren't for Chad coming into my life and being an outlet and more than a counselor, someone I can consider a friend in the professional sense. If it weren't for him, I would have left and joined this other outpatient clinic that I had found. I'm leaving this review so all will know the outstanding job that he does day in and day out. And it is not an easy job. So chad, hold your head high and keep up the good work. I am forever grateful for all of the knowledge and lessons that you have taught me in our time together. And I look forward to many more conversations, laughs, cries, and knowledgeable interactions with you. Five stars earned, by Chad!!!

Where do I start! From finding this place to getting in contact with Gil! Gil went above and beyond to evaluate my son at our home. Gil did everything possible to get my son admitted in quickly. My family was turned upside down over night from a head on collision. My son had his spinal injury that left him paralyzed. We were told that the best place for him to get treatment was at TIRR in Houston. Well shame on TIRR for not being any help at all. I spent months trying to get him to TIRR with no luck. I finally did some research and found you guys in Austin! From the 1st day of conversation with Gil he was out evaluating my son the next following week. Gil called me back at the end of the week with the news we’ve been waiting for, since our release from hospital. He was accepted! Mind you I was back in the hospital due to a set back in my recovery. The following week he was admitted in and I met Stephanie! Stephanie you’re an angel! Stephanie went above and beyond to take care of my son. She was so helpful when I felt helpless in my hospital bed. Stephanie helped with paperwork and making sure everything was good! Texas Neuro rehab center you guys have Althea best staff! As a cycle breaker of generational trauma I must say this place deserves 8 stars! Eternally grateful for your services. It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it. You must be honest in order for therapy/ healing to work. Blessings to the entire staff. You all deserve raises. The clean up crew was excellent. Celeste and Haydee thank you for all of your hard work. Shout outs to the A- team MVPs Cassandra, Sonya, Tish, Lauren, Maurice, Craig, Chris. Sean, and Yoga girl aka Lori. The Kitchen crew sleighed. Thank you to the lovely young lady with chocolate skin and ombre blonde hair. Anthony, Dion and the Indian chef. Thanks for your kindness, hard work, excellent menu and great service. My favorite dish was di di di umm, di Curry Chicken nah, not di "Chicken Curry". Lol, I was ejected from the game before the Jerked Chicken but I'm sure it was lit. Thanks Mallory the mermaid, Marian, Mckelty, Jordan, Vanessa,Maria, Hanne, Lynn stay strong and shine bright like a diamond. You've got this. One day at a time. The photography/ art work was beautiful. I enjoyed looking out the window at all the lovely leaves falling. Autumn teaches us the beauty of letting things go. Growth requires release. It's what the trees do, Let dead things go. Release what no longer serves you. Reason, season, lifetime. Excellent job Nurse Nicholas Muhia and my Social/ Case worker with the Pan African lanyard. I'll close with words from MLK Jr. "The old law of an eye for an eye leaves everybody blind." Happy Holidays! Ramona Elder

I can't say enough great things about my treatment at RU. I was in the PHP program and the curriculum is awesome. They definitely help you get out of your comfort zone with Open Mic on Wednesdays, which I loved! The mens houses are both very nice and comfortable. And they provide food for us and we can still purchase extra if we want. I would recommend this facility to any and everyone!

I got sober in residential treatment. But I learned how to stay sober in sober living. Living at Hyde Park mens for 8 months is the main reason I’m 4 years sober today. This place provided the structure and support I needed when transitioning back to the “real” world. Leaving inpatient can be extremely tough. You hit the pause button on your life for a bit but then you find yourself thrown right back into the fold. Nothing has changed except for you. It was in the Arbor’s sober living that I really got to put what I learned into practice. And when I got off course, I had an entire community to help get me back on the right track. I will be forever grateful for my experience with this house.

Overall, it's a great place to build on your recovery. It's a different concept from traditional sober living homes because you're actually living in apartments. I have my own apartment so I have a decent amount of independence and privacy. I work from home so it's a good fit. They come furnished with living room and bedroom furniture and kitchen appliances. You're allowed to have small pets as well, which is great because I have a cat! Living here still has all the accountabilities important for sober living environments: curfews, weekly UAs, no outside guests allowed in your apartment, all packages you receive have to opened in front of a staff member in the office, overnight passes have to be cleared by staff, any perscription medication has to be on file with the office. The staff are very nice, tough at times but fair. You're required to attend at least 3 meetings a week and be working steps with a sponsor. They have 2-3 meetings a week on premise so it's easy to make your meetings and is a good way to meet other residents here. It's a good community and helpful way to meet other people working on their recovery. There's a shared laundry facility for the complex, washers and dryers are free, you have to provide your own detergent. There are 5 stacked washer/dryer units but 1-2 of units seem to be down at any given time so sometimes there's a wait to do laundry.

If I could do four and a half I would but I can't so I'll err on the side of grace. The pictures on the website actually match the apartments. The maintenance is mostly on point except for smaller items, so stop whining. The gym has a lot of hard iron, and the pool (which is oddly empty most of the time) is clean and cold. Two small demerits - older folks would benefit from a good working treadmill or exercise bicycle, and the app where one is expected to document one's experience is clunky and cumbersome. But any sober living environment rises or falls on programs and staff, and in that area this place is extraordinary. The counselors/advocates (all of whom are in recovery) are there all the time; talking to you, asking about you, working with you, and gently encouraging you to attend meetings and to support each other. They are excellent in smaller groups although the larger group meetings, which are rare, are not facilitated as well. Overall, it's the best sober living environment in Austin, likely in the CenTex area - affordable, non-judgmental, and almost home.

Driftwood Recovery – Riverside is a residential drug rehab located in Austin, Texas. Their facilities offer breathtaking views of the mountains and access to restorative walking and hiking trails. They offer detox services, a seven-day inpatient or outpatient stabilization program, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient
Driftwood was a wonderful place for my daughter to deal with her substance addiction and mental illness. The staff was very qualified and services for her mental health needs were excellent. The program created a family environment that supported each other during inpatient, outpatient and aftercare. They have a well planned Family weekend that was essential in helping us, help her as best we can. Driftwood taught my daughter to enjoy life without needing to escape it with drugs. They plan activities for alumni often and meet weekly. I believe their approach and staff are one of the best in the area. The only negative was that I had to advocate for my daughter to receive some of the therapies promised at admission. Once I talked to the staff they followed through and she received the agreed upon treatment. So I consider that a minor problem and it was resolved quickly. I would recommend Driftwood Recovery to anyone needing this type of services.
