I just completed 31 days of treatment here. I will say its a beautifal place. The treatment could be better, but the staff is what makes this place so great. Mel- your wonderful. I loved every minute spent with you. Jacob- your a great tech thank you for all you did for us. Yolanda- hands down your the best! I always loved it when you were coming in. I love how you stand proud in your recovery. Ava recovery is truly blessed to have you. Ill miss you Pete- thanks for everything Ben- i love your dog she was awesome. Thanks for the laughs and good food.. your a great chef. Nancy- you can be tough but hey we need that sometimes. Recovery unplugged changed my life in ways I never thought possible. The care for their clients went far beyond my expectations of rehabilitation centers. My counselor LuLu helped me find the understanding of myself needed to move forward from active addiction, my case manager Chloe provided me the resources needed to take the next steps, and my Alumni Coordinator Natalie has an incomparable heart for those in recovery as they take those next steps. The program also entrenches you in the Austin recovery community, intentionally becoming the connective tissue with society needed for rehabilitation from addiction. As someone who never wanted to step into rehab, I would recommend the program to anyone.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!

I came here barely alive, hopelessly alcoholic after years of heavy daily drinking. Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. If you need rehab, you do that after, or find a rehab that does detox on site.

Heartwood Recovery truly saved my life. From the moment I got there, I felt like I was surrounded by people who actually cared about me and wanted to see me succeed. Being a young adult in recovery can be difficult, but Heartwood does an amazing job helping younger guys feel comfortable, connected, and understood. One of the biggest things I took away from Heartwood was the brotherhood. I built real relationships with people who were going through the same things as me, and that made a huge difference in my recovery. The combination of the 12 steps, clinical support, recovery coaches, and staff gave me the structure and tools I needed to start building a better life. The outings were great, the food was honestly amazing, and the entire staff made Heartwood feel more like a community than a treatment center. I’ll always be grateful for my time there and the people I met. Heartwood didn’t just help me get sober, it helped me learn how to live again. I can genuinely say Heartwood saved my life, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for real help.

Overall good treatment center. Great therapists and all that. If you’re looking for addiction treatment I’d definitely try applying to go there. But if you need mental health treatment, you’d best look elsewhere since they only deal with mental health as it relates to addiction. Just coping skills training & some psych-ed. Not much art therapy if that’s your thing. Also, they don’t really help you find a job so just be aware of that too. I would go to them again if I relapsed I guess. They’ll get you to 6 months sober at least. Being discharged too early before I felt like I was ready activated my abandonment wound though.

The staff is friendly and extremely helpful, nursing staff is compassionate and caring and let me say the therapists are the best. The food is on par and the activities are fun and exciting. I had a very positive experience with Austin Recovery Center in downtown Austin while completing my IOP counseling program. Hector A. was sincere, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to, and he made it comfortable to have meaningful conversations about some of life's more difficult experiences. His guidance helped me work through an uneasy period in a positive and constructive way, and I'm proud to say I successfully completed the program. Although I completed the program requirements, I still check in from time to time at the downtown location. I always feel comfortable there and leave with a positive experience. Stage Recovery is filled with loving, skilled, and attentive staff. They use a holistic model, and honor the natural world and other powerful modalities of healing. I had the opportunity to work with Blake Goldstein, and she is kind, compassionate and incredibly skilled at her job. The people who work here are committed to support recovery in this world that can be so hard to navigate, and it was refreshing and encouraging to see the devotion and expertise on each level of the treatment team, including therapists, business development, and administration. Beyond the logistics, I felt a truly loving and warm feel when I went to the residential and IOP location. I would highly recommend Sage for a chance to reset and pivot from whatever is blocking you from living in your highest purpose.

It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It’s a special room & To say that I’m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift 🙏 I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

I hope this review reaches you when you’re feeling like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.” It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn’t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference—it was Robert’s belief in me. He didn’t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. I was just discharged from The Right Step, Wimberley, TX, yesterday. This place and all of their AMAZING staff, including RAs, Counselor, Doctors, Nurses, Kitchen staff SAVED MY LIFE! After years of addiction I feel stronger and more equipped to face this disease head on. There are only minor things I would change: I think the women should have a large covered smoking area like the men do. The two small covered areas would get soaked in the rain and we were still required to smoke there. We would have to stand there to have a cigarette because chairs were soaked. It was cold, wet and uncomfortable. I think the women deserve an equivalent to the men, who have a large roof covered patio. It's only fair. Otherwise, not much to complain about. Some staff were better, kinder than others, but I won't name drop here. Overall, I would definitely choose them over again. Going to Right Step was the best decision of my life and I am grateful beyond words!

This place was nothing less than stellar. The staff was very professional from the therapists to the techs. Heather, Kayja and Julian are top tier. If you failed at this place it's because you did not apply yourself. Advocate for yourself, the staff at Omega are not magicians, they are there to educate and guide you in the right direction. I came to Omaga broken and angry and left a better person. Everyone there was always accommodating and willing to help. Nick, Jackson, Christina, Noel, Hayden, Rebecca, Kaels and Brook ...sorry if I forgot anyone...love you all. ( I saw a post from a previous resident... I don't usually write reviews for businesses but this place and the staff have made such a difference in mine and other patients' lives, especially my counselor Becky and the receptionist Stacy. I see them bend over backwards every day to help me and everyone else who comes through here. I honestly don't know of any other business that will help get you to the clinic and back home when you can't find a ride. Just so you know, you can't ask for rides all the time, but for real emergencies, especially for people just starting their recovery, they'll go out of their way to help because they actually care. Come to think of it, the staff here are the only people I can think of who ask me not just if I'm doing okay on my medication, but if I'm doing okay period. Lately that's meant a lot. Methadone has made staying off fentanyl 100x easier, but it's also been the hardest thing I've done, staying off opiates after 12 years of daily use, especially with everything else going on in my life right now. This clinic's support has meant the world to me. I have a funny way of showing it though, I tend to go M.I.A. when things get hard. But even when she's got a full schedule, people waiting to see her, patients to check on in the lobby, my counselor Becky always finds a way to check on me and help me figure out whatever I'm dealing with so I can focus on staying sober instead of getting overwhelmed and giving up. That's something I know I need to work on myself. But I'm grateful for this medication and for a staff that makes this place a lifesaver for people like me. Thank you guys for everything you do! :)

I’ve been going to this clinic for nearly 4 years. I’ve seen management change. I’ve seen staff change, but the only thing that has never changed is my counselor. ARZA Is the coolest dude! Stacy came months back and she has completely changed the placess energy. It’s so welcoming now. The level of love and kindness at this office is top notch! These folks care! They give you room to get your recovery on track without harping you. They meet you where you’re at and help encourage you along the way. This program truly saved my life! Dr. Hahn is the COOOOOLEST doctor!! I wouldn’t dream of going to another clinic. They kinda feel like an extended family. 🩵💙 I love CMS North🩵💙

Following a serious fall and subsequent spinal surgery, my brother spent several months in Texas NeuroRehab Center’s PABI Program. The exceptional care he received there has made a remarkable difference in his recovery. Through intensive daily therapy and a truly compassionate team, he made major progress in strength, mobility, daily living skills, and independence, giving him the foundation needed to continue his rehabilitation. The PABI unit itself is bright, clean, comfortable and well-maintained, with extensive rehab equipment and materials, but also has a homelike feel, where residents can enjoy meals and downtime together. This helps foster a sense of community, while still providing the intensive rehabilitation needed. The TexasNeuro PABI staff— Holly, Laura, Dr. Filipetto, and the entire Nursing, OT, PT, Speech, and Care Team— are phenomenal. They pair top-tier clinical expertise with outstanding patience, kindness, and communication. This compassionate, supportive approach provided the encouragement my brother needed to not only work hard, but stay motivated, through a challenging recovery. And— always willing to go the extra mile— the team provided support for my brother’s outpatient procedures during his stay, which significantly improved his medical outcomes and greatly reduced stress on our family. Tying this incredible team effort together was our dedicated Case Manager, who provided another layer of critical support— keeping us informed, coordinating appointments and meetings, and helping us navigate next steps— all the while offering a kind, empathetic ear when our family needed it most. Our family is extremely grateful to the entire team at Texas NeuroRehab. Dr Crispa Aeschbach is a very intelligent Doctor. She actually cares about patients and wants to see them succeed. They get excited when they see others doing well in the program. It's scary to make this decision. You're giving up the thing that has gotten you through life for so long. It's like letting a best friend go. However, it will be the BEST decision you have ever made in your entire life. It's true. The only regret will be you not doing this sooner. There is a way out of hell and this is it. The women working up there are the best. Stop looking for other clinics right now because you found the one. This is also a one stop shop for your other psychiatric medications, not just methadone or buprenorphine. Got depression or adhd as well? No problem, they will help you with that too! They also offer acupuncture and EMDR. They have multiple group sessions each week day and they actually help. It's precious how these cute girls handle the medicine like pros. They are so sweet too. Just don't lie to them. They know if you are and they help you more when you're honest and actually trying. When you prove yourself with clean UAs overtime, they will work even harder to ensure you're successful. I have both pain and opiate use disorder and they are helping me manage my pain and my opiate use disorder. Guess what? It's working. Dr. Aeschbach knows her stuff and consider yourself lucky if you're able to be under her care.

These people saved my life and my entire psyche. I have been away from addiction for over 15 years now. I often reflect on how profound that experience was going through their clinic. Before, I had moralized my distress, addiction and self-medication, viewing it as a personal flaw. But through their scientific system, I was able to heal and fully integrate back into society. It feels wild leaving a review for an institution like this 15 years later, but their impact is truly lifelong. I’m so grateful to Dr. Aeschbach, and to Dr. Aeschbach-Jachmann. They are true carers with a foundation in medicine and psychiatry that is sadly not found often. If any of you working at the clinic read this - thank you! The Inn was very helpful shout out to Jillian,Kat,Sean,Daisy,Johnall the nurses and case workers....Tearney was always willing to help and quite resourceful...Beau is a blessing great groups ...Adrianna was also amazing...if you come to the Inn be positive and respectful if you really want help you will get it ....I PROMISE....forever greatful Anthony Rodriguez

This program was very beneficial to my child. I cannot thank them enough for providing the best support and services for our family. My child was at the dripping springs location in Texas. Every staff member was amazing with every situation they were dealt with. I wish there were more programs like this for families struggling with mental health.

My son was at this facility. At first I had a few little issues with some of the staff but learned my son was the issue not the staff. The 2 staff members I dealt with the most were Crystal and Austin and I have the upmost respect for them they both had went above and beyond to try to help my son with his issues and he ended up needing to go to a more strict facility and Austin and Crystal went above and beyond to find a facility that could help him better and Crystal went above and beyond and took time out of her busy day to take him to that facility so I didn’t have to drive for 2 days to get there to take him. I am forever grateful for everything Austin and Crystal have done to get my son the help he needs.
