This is a good place. It's small but don't let that put you off. The house is beautiful and comfortable and mealtimes are at one big table like a family would have. I received good care there. I just wish they had a PHP program.

Ava was a truly life changing experience. Every single staff member brought something unique to the experience and showed such loving kindness. Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family!Sincerely,Dustin

I really needed some accountability and to be around other sober people after a relapse on alcohol in August. I signed up for the online IOP service and my counselor was Jasmine. She was amazing. I found myself looking forward to group everyday and felt a great relief of wanting to use after group. It helped me stay sober and maintain abstinence from alcohol I am truly grateful for the program. Jasmine is amazing and I consider her a good friend at this point she was able to talk me out of using my stinking thinking a lot of times and evaluate my situations from another perspective, which helped me get away from the parts of me that contribute to relapse.

I'm going on 80 days sober because this place helped me. I loved the Trauma inpatient program. PHP was okay, I felt like it was lacking counseling and also I felt like it was non stop getting in and out of busses. You'll get your phone on lunch and like 90min on Saturday which is nice. But on Sunday when you should be calling friends and family you don't get your phone. The house on 1st street stayed nasty. I brought it up to the techs several times and nothing changed. I would give this place 5 stars but the aftercare completely sucked. I had no idea how sober houses worked or how to get into one. I had to stress out my final day because I had nowhere to go. Also I had no idea how to get a scholarship or even fill my meds... im in their IOP program currently and I'm enjoying it. Aftercare definitely needs to be worked on. I've also talked to many people after they got through with PHP and they had the same opinion. Thanksz that's my Ted Talk.

Recovery Unplugged was a god send. Im truly appreciative of their trauma program and of their staff. I ve never been to treatment before and i was worried staff would just be there for a paycheck but that wasn't the case whatsoever. Staff was kind and patient. They take the time to see how you're doing and truly care. Counselors are real awesome. To be honest I didn't even know it was a trauma center and when I found out I was able to let go of the trauma thats been haunting me for all these years. I thought i was going to take it all to my grave and im glad my counselor Amy made me feel comfortable and safe to do so. The techs are awesome and treat everyone with respect and kindness. The food is awesome there as well. If you have dietary restrictions or needs they will cater to those needs and are super friendly. Alumni coordinators are super friendly and check up on ya after you leave the program. They also set up these cool events you can attend to for free as RU Alumni. This place ROCKS! Highly recommend it.

This place is so amazing. I was just a scared, strong out girl from east Texas when I arrived arvRecivery Unplugged on Albert Road. They did my intake at 3am, made me comfortable, and put me to bed. I went to sleep and woke up to the most amazing staff waiting to greet me and start the process of detoxing my mind and body and getting me well. Throughout my stay. I was treated with the utmost respect. There was not once that I felt like less than family to these wonderful people. The nurses were at my bedside checking my vitals, the techs were assessing my comfort. My dog was accepted and loved. After detox, the work began. But it never felt hard or overwhelming. The program is easy to follow. There was always someone who could answer questions or concerns. Even in the middle of the night. I just graduated the full 4 month program for Recovery Unplugged. I am a far cry from the girl I came in as. I am a sober woman, in Austin, with an apartment a job and a bright future. Thank you recovery Unplugged. I can not express my gratitude enough. I have waited for over a year to write this review to ensure my time at Sage was indeed "life-changing". I can now confidently say, my decision to seek therapy there was one of the best decisions I have ever made.For over 30 years I struggled with depression and anxiety and turned to alcohol to cope. But thanks to the therapists and counselors at the center, I now have the resources to manage my emotions in a healthy way. I feel like I've regained control of my life, and I'm excited to move forward with a new sense of confidence and purpose.I also attend their alumni group, which offers individuals free, weekly social events that provide ongoing support, education, and networking opportunities. If that s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling Saving Lives.There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert.When you show up at an IOP, it s not on your best day it s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child and smiled. Hey Bud, we re going to get through this. And I don t just mean maintain I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John. It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference it was Robert s belief in me.He didn t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. Hello My name is Massey and I'm someone living in recovery for 8 years 1 month and 13 days. Without Robert Kidd and Positive Recovery, I would not be able to say that. I waited 6 months post-rehab to write my review. I am 6 months sober and I wanted to give a shout out to The Right Step for being part of my journey. The staff are professional, personable, and knowledgeable. My favorite aspect was related to choice; TRS follows a 12-step model primarily but other modalities are allowed to be embraced. I attribute this largely to my success in my sobriety journey. Many rehabs are militant and belittle substance abusers and make it the actual institutions journey to solve and minimize the participant. We were spoken to like competent adults while receiving treatment.From an administrative standpoint I have to point out Georgiana for her extreme professionalism; I attribute her largely to preserving my job while I went to treatment. I was able to focus on treatment and she had an incredible amount of paperwork to complete. I also would likely not be sober today without my counselor Camille. Camille went above in beyond and helped me untangle all the things holding me from being able to move on from this stage of my life while embracing a recovery approach to life. What really sets Driftwood apart is their community integration program post impatient treatment. The alumni group is strong and gets together weekly in addition to several events throughout the year. There are camping trips to state parks (Big Bend) annual Christmas party (over 150 staff and alumni attend each year), bowling, sporting events, concerts etc. I just returned from Peru on a trip that was hosted by Driftwood. We had a total of 18 on this trip, a trip that still has me smiling! If you are seeking help for yourself or a loved one I highly recommend Driftwood. Driftwood changed my life, sounds dramatic but it is very true!

I have waited for over a year to write this review to ensure my time at Sage was indeed "life-changing". I can now confidently say, my decision to seek therapy there was one of the best decisions I have ever made.For over 30 years I struggled with depression and anxiety and turned to alcohol to cope. But thanks to the therapists and counselors at the center, I now have the resources to manage my emotions in a healthy way. I came to Omega more broken than I ever imagined was possible. After 6 years of trauma after trauma I was broken shell of myself. I lost 3 brothers to drug OD, one was on Christmas morning in my home. I was suffering from severe depression, anxiety, disassociation and alcoholism. I tried my best on my own for a year going to AA and intensive therapy but was not getting any better. After a year of trying on my own I found Omega. I started in the commuter program but was struggling. It was suggested that I move into the house. I was completely against the idea. I am a mom how could I leave my kids?? The staff took the time to talk with me about my fears. How could I not get the help I so desperately needed, I took leap of faith. I moved into the house 2 days before Christmas. This program saved my life. I was diagnosed with CPTSD. I had been on medications that were making everything worse. I m so grateful to the staff for helping me get the correct diagnosis and on the right medication s. It wasn t easy. I was tested in many different ways. The program mimics challenges you will face in everyday life. This program will teach you how to face challenges in healthy ways. Most importantly you will learn about yourself, and why you behave certain ways. If you embrace the hard moments and search yourself you WILL learn a better way. At omega and with any program your attitude and what you put into it is what you will get out of it. They provide you with all of tools it s up to you to use them. Embrace the hard. Get uncomfortable. The day I was deciding to come into the house one of the techs Jackson told me that the hard and the uncomfortable is how you grow. It s what pushes you to the next level. In 6 short weeks I have grown more than I ever imagined possible. Omega is unlike any other program in Austin. I highly recommend it for mental health or addiction issues of any kind. You are worth it. Take a leap of faith. Embrace the hard. Embrace the uncomfortable.

I would not be here today without this place. Ignore all the noise about medically assisted treatment, it helped me get the strength to stop destroying myself. This place hold you accountable but is also compassionate. I have gotten my dose way down and I have gotten to a place where I feel better about myself and respect my life more. I really appreciate all that they have done for me. There are days where things seem bad but usually that s my fault not the staffs and I think people really need to do more reflecting on their part in every situation. I have been with this place since it was Mars, and I was scared when all the changes began, but they were for the better and this place has become something even better.

Thanks to be there.all the staff were very goodness. They give you privacy. But every human is not the same. All the times are on time, for meds, and food, the staff encourages to do well at all times, never left without letting another patient being able to harm you. All the one star and bad reviews are from problem children. Place was great. The Management are all good people and care. Want to help. Even gave me a couple free days to figure out my next step. i did discovery's iop and php program and it completely changed my mental health for the better. i've been to a handful of treatment programs and this one was by far the best. i was in such an awful place at the time and after finishing up the program i honestly feel like a new person. the therapists and staff always go above and beyond. they're funny, kind, and honestly make you feel safe. i highly recommend discovery to anyone struggling with mental illness. part of me was sad to leave!

Our 34 year old daughter was in Texas NeuroRehab Post acute brain injury center for over 2 months after a severe brainstem stroke. Her care there was outstanding. The staff went above expectations to help her. Literally every employee was kind and went the extra mile to make her stay comfortable and productive. She was treated with love and respect and made to feel like a family member. I would highly recommend this facility.
