Alpha 180 in Austin, Texas, health is a behavioral health organization that offers mental health and substance use disorder treatment. The facility is conveniently located in the downtown area. Clients can receive treatment services such as outpatient addiction treatment and the transitional living program. Recovery Services For Young Men The facil | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. But from the very first phone call, the staff made us feel supported and heard. The intake process was smooth, and they took the time to carefully explain every step of the program, ensuring we were fully informed and comfortable moving forward.
The team of counselors, therapists, and support staff is exceptional. They truly understand the challenges young people face and have a unique ability to connect with teens in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. My son has made incredible progress, thanks to their individualized approach that takes into account not only the addiction itself, but also the emotional, psychological, and social factors that contribute to it.
What stands out most about this center is their holistic approach. They don’t just treat the addiction—they work on building self-esteem, coping strategies, and life skills that are crucial for long-term success. The therapists created a safe space for my son to open up, express his feelings, and rebuild trust. It’s clear that the staff genuinely care about the well-being of their patients and their families.
The outpatient program was tailored to my son's needs, allowing us to balance treatment with school and other activities. The center also encourages family involvement and offers parental support and therapy, which has been crucial for my understanding and support of my son's recovery journey.
The progress I've seen in my teenager over the past few months is remarkable. Not only has he shown an improved attitude toward his recovery, but I've also noticed a significant positive shift in his overall mood and outlook on life. We are beyond grateful to Alpha for giving our family hope and helping my teenager reclaim his future.
If you're looking for a compassionate, professional, and effective treatment program for a young person struggling with addiction, I wholeheartedly recommend Alpha 180. They truly saved my son and gave us the tools we need to continue on this journey together.

Austin, Texas | Addiction & Psychotherapy Services (Aeschbach & Associates) has been serving the greater Austin area since 1982. We are a private clinic that provides services to opiate-addiction/multiple diagnosis patients. Since 1982, we provide comprehensive opioid addiction treatment to the greater Austin area. We specialized in treatment of complicated patien | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Good people, invaluable service provided. Very legit (non-sketch).
[EDIT/UPDATE] Well, it’s been 5 years since I posted the brief review seen above, and I feel like both this clinic AND me deserve something of an update.
I am still a patient of the clinic’s, albeit a patient whose chaotic and life-threatening issues with opiate addiction thankfully have been thoroughly tamed. While Google Reviews isn’t the appropriate venue to detail the grittier personal details encompassed within an individual case of opiate addiction disorder, I will share without hesitation the undeniable reality that without the service of professionally compassionate treatment of the addiction nightmare which first brought me to their doorstep, I would not be alive and able to compose the review you’re now reading.
How very happy I AM here today, able to talk about this treatment and the improvements to and gains made in my life, none of which would have been remotely possible without the service provided by this clinic. Relationships shattered by the damage wrought by addiction have been repaired. My apartment becomes a nicer and more enjoyable place to call home with each passing year as I replace belongings that I sold or traded for drugs in the past and add new ones I never had the chance to enjoy “back then.”
It’s easier to look in the mirror now that I put on new, clean clothes that
I like to wear, instead of rummaging through piles of tattered threads, searching for the least dirty garments I first got from donation bins and the like. My self-esteem grows each passing day. I no longer avert my eyes from those of the people I encounter.
I no longer find myself having to constantly look over my proverbial shoulder, worried that the people I know will steal my belongings at the first opportunity they see to do so. I no longer find myself incarcerated, wondering what lunkheaded thing I did to land myself there while I was, no doubt, blacked-out thanks to some atrociously dangerous combination of opiates, benzodiazepines, and anything else I might have imbibed while barking at the moon. Good grief, am I ever glad that those days seem finally to be behind me.
One more killer perk which I suspect just might appeal to someone out there: I haven’t been dope-sick—or, I suppose I ought to say “in withdrawal”—not even once since the first day I began treatment.
Not.
Even.
Once.
So, if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, do yourself a gigantic, merciful favor by picking up the phone and giving these fine folks a ringy-dingy-ding. You could literally change your life today. Never have I regretted my decision to do so.
One love… ✌️

When I found Omega, I was desperate for help. I’m a single mom, and had just taken my partner to a treatment center of his own.
I spent the first week or so of being here insisting that it wasn’t gonna work, just seeing as I’ve been in and out of treatment for 11 years now. But, I’ve been here 4 weeks today and I’m so much farther now than I ever thought I could be.
I have to thank all the staff for their continued support and encouragement, and even patience, while I’ve struggled and fought to get to where I am now. I’m on track to get back to my kids and I’m so looking forward to “restarting” my life now that I’m healthier mentally than I’ve felt in, quite honestly, as long as I can remember.
Words will never quite be able to describe or express my gratitude towards Omega and its staff for all the love they’ve shown to me and everyone else I’ve met since I got here. I’ve been able to speak with my kids on a semi-consistent basis, my therapist has been so supportive and helpful, and everyone has been able to sit down and listen/talk with me when I need it. I can’t think of a better center than here for my situation as a parent with two little ones at home. They’re my reason for coming here and all the staff have been so understanding about that, and have used my love for them to push me to do better and BE better so I can go home and truly be the mother my babies deserve.

PLEASE READ THIS TO THE END. PLEASE.I pray anyone who think about sending their child here sees this and considers what I have to say, I am advocating for the protection of your children. As someone who was here for 7 months as a kid, I implore you to find a different place. I have never in my life been treated so horribly and unfairly than at this place. They straight up told me that telling or reporting anything negative that occurred here to my parents was "manipulation" and that they'd put me on "work detail" for several DAYS if I reported any mistreatment. Think critically. Why would there be so many reports from past children who went here reporting extreme abuse and neglect they suffered here, many of the reports saying the same thing. Think about it, every time a 1 star review happens, multiple 5 star reviews happen. It could be a cover up, with fake accounts.

I was ready and willing to attend weekly sessions, but two weeks were canceled by my counselor due to her own scheduling. When I had to cancel once, I was told I’d be discharged per policy. I appreciate the help I received early on, but the lack of flexibility and understanding at the end was disappointing. I never do reviews but I am concerned about what I have experienced happening to anyone else. My name is Kimberly and I am an addict in recovery. I'd l I ke to start off being accountable by saying had I never self sabotaged myself I wouldn't of had to find a place to help me recovery from childhood trauma , alcohol and drug addiction however I didn't cope properly and I got myself into a strong hold which I. Grateful to be catching before it's too late and death and institutions are all my family have left of me. With that all being said. Please do your homework and read reviews because had I done that 1st then I would not be sitting in the ER at Baylor in a state I do not live in with no support nearby wondering why the center that called 9.1.1. 2 days ago is now telling me they no longer can keep my bed when I was suffering a TIA stroke due to conflict with another girl in the home bullying and running things due to favoritism manipulation and bullying tactics. They work off a seniority system which is great and effective to each individual however when one addict starts bossing around another addict it's a problem. When staff had to be asked by me to explain the rules to the house to the new comers because we are having other girls in treatment getting frustrated having to tell us the rules that's a problem.....when your given an LE which is a learning experience write up aka spank on the hand and has consequences attached to it by another client in the home who has child hood trauma and bullying issues that's a problem. This is what happened to me and I will just tell you I've never felt more trapped , unheard and more unsafe then I did there. That's truly unfortunate. They have many beds open at the moment and they are telling me that because I've had to come here due to my health which they were told about previously but chose to not let me have my medication which is a blood thinner because of the bottle being opened already that's a huge problem it's discrimination and it's abandoning a client aka patient. They could simply eliminate bullying and allowing senior peers to tell others peers what to do vs staying in their bubble or lane and staff can be more consistent but Instead I'm having to send an Uber to get my belongings so they are not donated in 24 hours from a facility I drove 15 hours to be at. I will also say there is alot of greatness and great staff at this facility and the clinical team is amazing but the actual home needs a better POA , have exit strategies when emergencies happen and most importantly it needs a Safer" safe place "environment plan in my opinion. Not all of us have been to prison or jail and not all of us were raised the same so allowing uneducated clients tell other clients what to do or kicking off their shoes getting ready to fight is not what my trauma driven addicted mind and heart needed that's for sure. Just educate yourself on every level before choosing a place for your loved one. That is the best advice I can give you. For me this wasn't it and I'm disappointed because I felt blessed to be given a bed there and now I'm feeling blessed to beggetting my things from there and this will not be the end of my recovery. I won't and don't have to use again and I pray your loved one never does either. God bless you and your journey aka may the universe bring you all the positive energy your loved one is missing within. ❤️

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is a joke. After sending a team to pick me up and dump me out at a local hospital, and having to walk home, 21 weeks pregnant in a dangerous city, to scheduling me to check in and telling me at the last minute that they need additional papers from the hospital that can't be sent in, I have to get myself, then told the exact opposite, that the hospital needs to send them in directly, I'm left without a place to go, twice! They filled me with false hope and have made it EXTREMELY difficult to be admitted. If they are supposedly trained in addiction, they would know how important it is to get to the moment where you are walking away from this lifestyle, just to be rejected and thrown back to it twice, with my bags packed. I am extremely offended and annoyed and will be finding treatment elsewhere.
