What is sad is the bad comments here are about the Same Policies Any "Good Rehab" place follows. There are Good reasons for these Policies and part of the Important Recovery process. (They should Research this and WHY they are important process. These people just sound like they are not really ready for Rehab. My son is fixing to go here. I will confirm my post then.

I'm going on 80 days sober because this place helped me. I loved the Trauma inpatient program. PHP was okay, I felt like it was lacking counseling and also I felt like it was non stop getting in and out of busses. You'll get your phone on lunch and like 90min on Saturday which is nice. But on Sunday when you should be calling friends and family you don't get your phone. The house on 1st street stayed nasty. I brought it up to the techs several times and nothing changed. I would give this place 5 stars but the aftercare completely sucked. I had no idea how sober houses worked or how to get into one. I had to stress out my final day because I had nowhere to go. Also I had no idea how to get a scholarship or even fill my meds... im in their IOP program currently and I'm enjoying it. Aftercare definitely needs to be worked on. I've also talked to many people after they got through with PHP and they had the same opinion. Thanksz that's my Ted Talk.

Recovery Unplugged was a god send. Im truly appreciative of their trauma program and of their staff. I ve never been to treatment before and i was worried staff would just be there for a paycheck but that wasn't the case whatsoever. Staff was kind and patient. They take the time to see how you're doing and truly care. Counselors are real awesome. To be honest I didn't even know it was a trauma center and when I found out I was able to let go of the trauma thats been haunting me for all these years. I thought i was going to take it all to my grave and im glad my counselor Amy made me feel comfortable and safe to do so. The techs are awesome and treat everyone with respect and kindness. The food is awesome there as well. If you have dietary restrictions or needs they will cater to those needs and are super friendly. Alumni coordinators are super friendly and check up on ya after you leave the program. They also set up these cool events you can attend to for free as RU Alumni. This place ROCKS! Highly recommend it.

This place is so amazing. I was just a scared, strong out girl from east Texas when I arrived arvRecivery Unplugged on Albert Road. They did my intake at 3am, made me comfortable, and put me to bed. I went to sleep and woke up to the most amazing staff waiting to greet me and start the process of detoxing my mind and body and getting me well. Throughout my stay. I was treated with the utmost respect. There was not once that I felt like less than family to these wonderful people. The nurses were at my bedside checking my vitals, the techs were assessing my comfort. My dog was accepted and loved. After detox, the work began. But it never felt hard or overwhelming. The program is easy to follow. There was always someone who could answer questions or concerns. Even in the middle of the night. I just graduated the full 4 month program for Recovery Unplugged. I am a far cry from the girl I came in as. I am a sober woman, in Austin, with an apartment a job and a bright future. Thank you recovery Unplugged. I can not express my gratitude enough. You guys are incredible

TLR has been a life changing experience! I have grown 100 fold in my spirituality, I have unpacked traumatic events in my life I had no idea were connected to my battle with sex addiction, drug addiction, and alcoholism. I was shown how to properly work the steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. I got out stuff I thought I would take to the grave. I have learned to love myself, forgive myself, forgive others, grant myself grace, be mindful of my surroundings, and grow spiritually with my God, the God of my understanding. I have realized how I use to show up to life and how I want to show up as a man in recovery. I have realized to not be ashamed that I am a drug addict/alcoholic in recovery. TLR has been a gift from God. I am forever grateful to TLR as a whole, the program, the staff, and my brothers in recovery.

I cannot express enough how transformative my experience at The Last Resort Recovery Center has been. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported in a way that made true healing possible. The clinicians are exceptional compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in each client s journey. They took the time to understand my unique needs and created a personalized plan that helped me address the root causes of my struggles.A standout in my recovery was Bri, the trauma therapist. Her expertise and empathy allowed me to process and heal from past experiences in a way I never thought possible. Bri s approach is both gentle and effective, helping me feel safe while guiding me through difficult emotional work. The equine therapy program was another highlight. Working with the horses provided me with profound insights and a sense of connection that words can hardly capture. The experience was grounding and healing, offering me a new perspective on trust and emotional awareness. The facility itself is beautiful and serene. The environment is peaceful, with comfortable accommodations and stunning natural surroundings that foster relaxation and introspection. The attention to detail in the design and care of the space reflects the center s commitment to holistic healing. If you re seeking a place that truly prioritizes your well-being and recovery, The Last Resort is unparalleled. I am beyond grateful for the life-changing experience I had here and would recommend it to anyone ready to embark on their healing journey.

It s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & the Room @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call the room . Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey . Who is Kat? Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn t otherwise talk about I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It s a special room & To say that I m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

I hope this review reaches you when you re feeling like you ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it s not on your best day it s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child and smiled. Hey Bud, we re going to get through this. And I don t just mean maintain I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John. It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference it was Robert s belief in me.He didn t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. PRC, and especially Robert Kidd, are the reasons I m here today, thriving. If you re considering PRC here in San Marcos, know that it could be the place where your life changes too.

Hello My name is Massey and I'm someone living in recovery for 8 years 1 month and 13 days. Without Robert Kidd and Positive Recovery, I would not be able to say that. What was provided to me was a safe space to come in out of the dark and learn that it was ok-that I would be ok. I was given an opportunity to improve my quality of life through ownership and action. All that was required of me was that I hold myself accountable. For over 35 years I struggled not just with addiction but fear stemming from years of trauma and suppression. Mr Kidd and Positive Recovery through their methodology and genuine compassion provided me a road map to another way. I will always be an addict. That is what I am, but that is no longer WHO I am thanks to the truth that Positive Recovery provided me. Today who I am is a father husband and quite simply someone that is no longer afraid of being afraid.Words cannot articulate the amount of gratitude I have for Mr Kidd and his team. Thank you for holding me accountable showing me how to do the work and helping me know that I will be okSincerelyMassey B

CLEARVIEW DownIn the heart of Clearview, where shadows sometimes dwell,Lies a sanctuary for souls, a place where we can tell,The stories long buried in the depths of our pain,And here you stand, our lifeline, our shelter from the rain.To the staff and nurses who enter this space,You come with kindness, with warmth and with grace,When darkness surrounds and despair feels so near,You offer your hand, you lend us your ear.In moments of struggle, when the night feels so long,When the weight of the world seems too heavy, too wrong,You ve been our companions, our guides through the fray,With compassion that shines, lighting up even the gray. For those days you choose to show up at dawn,When you had the choice to sleep in, to yawn,You come with your courage, your heart open wide,Embracing our battles, standing firmly beside. When tempers flare and emotions ignite,You wield your calm, bringing peace to the fight,With patience like rivers, deep and so true,In the chaos, you find ways to navigate through. You re more than our caretakers; you re family our own,In a world that can feel so deeply alone,You teach us of love, of laughter, of trust,In the cracks of our spirits, you help us adjust. When the thought of tomorrow seems too much to bear,You lend us your hope, like a breath of fresh air,In the dark depths where suicide whispers its call,You remind us we re not alone in this fall. With words that uplift and hands that can heal,You quiet the storms, and you help us to feel,That life, despite struggles, can still shine so bright,You show us the beauty, you re our guiding light. To the ones who keep vigil through long, restless nights,Who stand at our sides, shining love s gentle lights,Thank you for showing us that we re worthy and strong,For writing our stories, for helping us find where we belong. From every late-night conversation to every heartwarming smile,You remind us we can journey this road, if only just for a while,So here in the halls where our lives intertwine,We offer our gratitude; your love is divine.Your kindness is a beacon, when our hope starts to fade,In the tapestry of healing, your threads are well laid,As patients, we rise, with each lesson you teach,In these moments of suffering, you show us we reach. You are not just our caregivers; you re heroes in scrubs,In the realm of our pain, you re the softest of hugs,For being the light when the shadows loom near,From one of your patients, thank you for being here.As we walk this path of healing together,You show us we re stronger, that we can weather,The storms that life hurls, the trials that came,In this journey through darkness, we ll never be the same. So, thank you, dear staff of Clearview's embrace,For being the family that brings comfort and grace,With each tender moment, with each heartfelt deed,You nourish our spirit; you help us to bleed Into the light of existence, into the warmth of the sun,With your endless compassion, we know we've begun. With all of my heart, this gratitude I send,For being the ones who will always transcend,The barriers that haunt us, the fears that we hold,Thank you for showing us the power of bold. From Alondra

I am a born pessimist, so I spent a great deal of time looking into this place. First, I found nothing negative whatsoever, Secondly, I spent 60 days here and cried leaving. This place and ALL of it's staff saved my life. I can remember spending countless times in the nurses station, at the wellness advocates desk, and even in the Blanco hall, talking to the different staff about my days, my problems, my achievements, etc. And EVERY SINGLE PERSON TOOK THE TIME TO LISTEN AND HELP OR CHEER ME ON!! There's not a staff member in this place that doesn't care about each person. The therapy sessions are incredible and I can't thank them enough for showing me I wasn't hopeless and giving me all the tools I need to have a beautiful, healthy and sober life. I am 45 years old, and I never thought this was possible.

Windmill Wellness Ranch has truly changed my life in ways I never expected. I ve been to multiple treatment facilities over the last decade and felt that I was mentally, physically and spiritually hopeless. I felt I was a lost cause. I have had experience with 12 step programs before and assumed this experience would be like the others. I was wrong. Windmill Wellness Ranch and the staff they employ offer so much more than just a place to get sober and try twelve steps. From the admissions personnel to the wellness advocates, the therapists and the recovery coaches, I ve never met a team of people so willing to bend over backwards to help me reach my personal goals. Through WWR I was able to process a great deal of trauma successfully, while at the same time gain some phenomenal insight on how to grow in a life centered around permanent sobriety. The employees genuinely care about people and most are in recovery themselves. My time at Windmill Wellness Ranch has truly made a permanent positive impact in my life and in the lives of the people I love.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family!Sincerely,Dustin

I really needed some accountability and to be around other sober people after a relapse on alcohol in August. I signed up for the online IOP service and my counselor was Jasmine. She was amazing. I found myself looking forward to group everyday and felt a great relief of wanting to use after group. It helped me stay sober and maintain abstinence from alcohol I am truly grateful for the program. Jasmine is amazing and I consider her a good friend at this point she was able to talk me out of using my stinking thinking a lot of times and evaluate my situations from another perspective, which helped me get away from the parts of me that contribute to relapse.

There's one place on earth that I'm sincerely and honestly grateful for and that's Ripple Ranch. Coming from a man who abused drugs for over 40 yrs and I'm only 56 suddenly got tired of all the things that were slowly tearing me apart and killing me physically from my appearance to my health and seeing the scary man I was becoming made me run to God and ask for forgiveness and to truly save me cause I do want to live and wanted me family and real friend's back but most of all serve my purpose here on earth doing his will and that's when God prepared a place for me beginning at Ripple Ranch and thru that opportunity I have begun to gain access to all the important factors in life I was mistreating and taking for granted. After graduating with God leading me throughout all my days, I can genuinely say that this place cares for each and every individual that arrives for help and change and the awesome techs that work there wholeheartedly somehow pour a little extra concern into those who second guess or have hidden reservations that arise throughout there stay, and with the community (all the clients present) makes a bigger difference showing all the daily love they have for one another is just the reason that kept me involved and willing to be part of the solution and escape the real problem and for that I appreciate Ripple Ranch for giving me the chance and help me become the sober man I am today and I give all glory to God.

Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. But from the very first phone call, the staff made us feel supported and heard. The intake process was smooth, and they took the time to carefully explain every step of the program, ensuring we were fully informed and comfortable moving forward. The team of counselors, therapists, and support staff is exceptional. They truly understand the challenges young people face and have a unique ability to connect with teens in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. My son has made incredible progress, thanks to their individualized approach that takes into account not only the addiction itself, but also the emotional, psychological, and social factors that contribute to it.What stands out most about this center is their holistic approach. They don t just treat the addiction they work on building self-esteem, coping strategies, and life skills that are crucial for long-term success. The therapists created a safe space for my son to open up, express his feelings, and rebuild trust. It s clear that the staff genuinely care about the well-being of their patients and their families. The outpatient program was tailored to my son's needs, allowing us to balance treatment with school and other activities. The center also encourages family involvement and offers parental support and therapy, which has been crucial for my understanding and support of my son's recovery journey. The progress I've seen in my teenager over the past few months is remarkable. Not only has he shown an improved attitude toward his recovery, but I've also noticed a significant positive shift in his overall mood and outlook on life. We are beyond grateful to Alpha for giving our family hope and helping my teenager reclaim his future. If you're looking for a compassionate, professional, and effective treatment program for a young person struggling with addiction, I wholeheartedly recommend Alpha 180. They truly saved my son and gave us the tools we need to continue on this journey together.JennParent of Alpha Patient

I am grateful to Alpha for the wonderful and effective program they've designed. Mental health and related services have been hit-or-miss for our family, but Alpha has been such a great combination of evidence-based programming, support, love, and a pathway to independence for young men with struggles.
