It's sorta hard to give the awesome review I want to and explain because I don't want to publicly announce my situation to the world but I know I have to say something to make sure people in and around the area who need services that BBT provides, I want to be able to let know this is a positive life changing place to turn to.
Help is here for so many situations and if not they can help point you in the right direction.
There was no judgment. Every single person I talked to was absolutely amazing, very sweet, caring, nice, helpful and genuinely wanting to help me and have me suceed...period.
If you or someone you know need help or any services that BBT provides I highly recommend contacting them immediately. This is such a great place to be able to turn to for help because it is everywhere here.

My casemanager michelle has done a great job of guiding me through my trials and mental health crisis with respect and compassion. She is attentive to my needs and brings me a coke (drink 😁) when she comes to the house. The front desk people are kind.

I am very grateful for this Ranch. My husband was a resident here and they helped him so much. I loved how they encouraged therapy family sessions and I enjoyed couple therapy sessions with my husband. It helped us grow and being involved I was able to educate myself on how addiction works. I came to Recovery Unplugged on a recommendation from an acquaintance and former client. I was able to not only gain tools to maintain sobriety but also engage in incredibly helpful processing and therapy sessions. The staff is beyond patient and supportive, from the technicians, to the counselors, and the nursing staff. The fact that there were various representatives from AA and NA groups as well as useful meditation sessions and music integrated therapies/tactics only further helped me heal. And the cherry on top is the strong ties that the program maintains with its alumni. I am proud to have gone through the doors of RU and cannot express how grateful I am for the rehabilitation services I received and the community I will cherish and support forever. It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot.
After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. I hope this review reaches you when you’re feeling like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives.
There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert.
When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.”
It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn’t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference—it was Robert’s belief in me.
He didn’t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. PRC, and especially Robert Kidd, are the reasons I’m here today, thriving. If you’re considering PRC here in San Marcos, know that it could be the place where your life changes too.

Hello My name is Massey and I'm someone living in recovery for 8 years 1 month and 13 days. Without Robert Kidd and Positive Recovery, I would not be able to say that. What was provided to me was a safe space to come in out of the dark and learn that it was ok-that I would be ok. I was given an opportunity to improve my quality of life through ownership and action. All that was required of me was that I hold myself accountable. For over 35 years I struggled not just with addiction but fear stemming from years of trauma and suppression. Mr Kidd and Positive Recovery through their methodology and genuine compassion provided me a road map to another way. I will always be an addict. That is what I am, but that is no longer WHO I am thanks to the truth that Positive Recovery provided me. Today who I am is a father husband and quite simply someone that is no longer afraid of being afraid.

I was so scared to start NOCD but I’m so glad I did. After years of talk therapy that never helped my NOCD therapist understood my problem and was able to quickly zero in on ways for me to address the problem. She gave me the education and tools to strategically deal with my challenges. I.started NOCD when I was 73 years old. I was desperate for help and relief from the misery I have known my entire life. There is hope and a solution to your problem. It’s not a cure. It’s a new and better way to deal with life’s challenges.

The staff at Ripple were an incredible group of people! They were all incredibly loving, caring, and supportive. If you’re considering rehab or have questions about it, I highly recommend Ripple. When I arrived at Heartwood in Austin, I was completely broken and had no hope left. I had been to multiple treatment centers before, but there is truly something different about Heartwood. From the beautiful, peaceful campus to the loving staff who actually take the time to truly know you, every part of this place is special.
The team at Heartwood, from the counselors all the way to the owner, are an absolute blessing. They do not just treat you; they care about you on a level I had never experienced elsewhere. Their approach helped me dig deep, open up, and finally begin to heal.
The aftercare is top tier as well. The constant love, support, and encouragement they continue to give even after you leave is nothing short of amazing.

I’ve been to multiple treatment centers. This is the best men’s treatment center there is in the area. Top to bottom, there’s not one staff member who isn’t truly doing this deal. You will be seen, you will be heard and you won’t fly under the radar. Heartwoods got a great mix of therapy/clinical practice and 12 step practice. Heartwood is in the helping people industry. Burning Tree Lodge changed the trajectory of our son's life. Our family's as well. Food is fantastic! Property and facility are above average with respect to the size of the grounds and amenities (swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, pool table, ping pong table, foosball, and plastic throwing axes). Yoga Therapy, Equine Therapy, Art Therapy, and Music Therapy are also offered. 12-Step Recovery, SMART Recovery, and Refuge/Dharma Therapy are also offered Counselors are great and very supportive in your recovery. Holistically, the programming/classes offered are informative, and well rounded. An outside event is offered every Saturday, and they are democratically selected by the clients. While there we went to see 3 movies and we also went bowling. Lastly, it's a huge plus to have 24hr access to your cell phone and laptop to conduct any business that you need to attend to.

This place is ALMOST like a resort. The property and facilities are beautiful. The food was always amazing , and the head chef is great. He always greets everybody with a smile and takes pride in what he serves. All the BHT were awesome too. This was my first time in rehAb and the fact they never take away. your phone and I could order off Amazon made it soo much easier. The only thing I would add is somehow pairing you up with someone who is a little ahead of you coming off the same substance. So you can ask them what to expect. I literally walked around asking everybody" What's your DOC?" I only found one person. Seemed 80% of residents were there for alcohol. I was there for Fetty& Meth. Took subs too early got PSw which sucked but the nurses did what they could to help and I survived. I did complete the 30 day residential and recommend.

I started my recovery journey with Driftwood Recovery on 9/28/2017 and have had continuous recovery since. The facility, food, staff, education, and treatment team are top notch, A+, 5 Star. What really sets Driftwood apart is their community integration program post impatient treatment. The alumni group is strong and gets together weekly in addition to several events throughout the year. There are camping trips to state parks (Big Bend) annual Christmas party (over 150 staff and alumni attend each year), bowling, sporting events, concerts etc. I just returned from Peru on a trip that was hosted by Driftwood. We had a total of 18 on this trip, a trip that still has me smiling! If you are seeking help for yourself or a loved one I highly recommend Driftwood. Driftwood changed my life, sounds dramatic but it is very true!

Sage Recovery and Wellness Center is truly a healing place. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the peace and care that went into creating such a beautiful environment. The property itself is stunning — from the pool and hot tub to the cozy spaces throughout the villa (which feels more like a luxury home than a facility).
The daily schedule may look full at first, but it’s so thoughtfully structured. Over time, you start building healthy habits and routines that carry into your everyday life after you leave. Some of my favorite parts were equine therapy at the Healing Horses Ranch (the staff there are amazing!), accudetox, yoga, and personal training. Everything is designed to help you reconnect with yourself and appreciate the little things again.
The villa is gorgeous — spacious, peaceful, and filled with comforts like books to read, a beautiful kitchen, and incredible chef-made meals. But what truly makes Sage special is the staff. They don’t just show up for you — they get down in the trenches with you. They listen, they care, and they help guide you out of the darkness with compassion and understanding.
The clients I met there became like family. Everyone is going through something, and it’s so powerful to feel seen, supported, and understood in that way. The therapists and curriculum are absolutely life-changing — I learned so many coping skills that I use every day.

i was admitted here in august it was my first time ever being in a mental hospital and overall my experience was very nice i was in the sunrise unit, the staff was amazing & made me feel safe comforted and valid! i had a really bad head injury and the staff & medical staff checked up on me everyday i got transferred from the ER where they didn’t even bother looking at my head injury so i was very appreciative of that! i’m now in the outpatient program which is also amazing i will say they definitely need better food but other than that it was amazing :)

I'm leaving this comment because of my counselor, Chad. Here's by far, in my very long time at this outpatient center, the most caring and knowledgeable counselor I have ever had the pleasure of being assigned to. It would take me a novels worth of verbiage and wording to explain how far he goes to help me. Not only is he incredibly perceptive, but he is able to adapt his manner of help and counseling to each individual's way of retaining that help. I've been receiving treatment from this facility even before it was cms, back when it was still called Mars. So I've seen countless counselors come and go, and one little thing that stands out amongst all of the counselors that I've been assigned to is that Chad is the only one who has ever said "don't hesitate to give me a call if you're having a bad day, or you just need someone to talk to, or if something's going wrong and you need some advice. If I'm here at the office, I'll MAKE time to talk", and he means it. There's been many times where I have had to reach out to him, when having a bad day or in a situation where I needed advice, and he does his best to relay any and all help he can. A while back I had started looking at other treatment facilities, around the same time that he came on board at CMS and I got assigned to him. And I have to say, if it weren't for Chad coming into my life and being an outlet and more than a counselor, someone I can consider a friend in the professional sense. If it weren't for him, I would have left and joined this other outpatient clinic that I had found. I'm leaving this review so all will know the outstanding job that he does day in and day out. And it is not an easy job. So chad, hold your head high and keep up the good work. I am forever grateful for all of the knowledge and lessons that you have taught me in our time together. And I look forward to many more conversations, laughs, cries, and knowledgeable interactions with you. Five stars earned, by Chad!!!

This location off of Airport Blvd is amazing. I stayed at The Inn for a week with some concerning mental health issues I've never experienced before. The entire staff, from the monitors to the nurses and medication staff, I mean literally, everyone made my time there comfortable and got me all the help I needed. They always had answers for me on anything I had concerns with.
One person in particular named Marc Bickgen has shown the most of anyone. He has helped me and taught me so much. He comes to my location for counseling since my wife is using our truck for work. He is always on time, and never once has he looked at the clock to try and run out the door. We have had two sessions at my apartment, so his knowledge and leadership with me in my time of need has been an absolute blessing. I've never been shown the respect or had any counselor take the time to show what it means to have a non judgemental, non biased, no opinion, and provide more tools than I have ever known I possessed to help me.
The Inn and Integral Care have been a life changing experience for me, and for the first time in years, I am hopeful with the future.

Honestly one of the best places I’ve been! I mean for me I didn’t want to be there not because it was a horrible place but because i needed to attend to my life but this place truly saved my life like 3 times literally and so grateful they went to court to keep me even safer.

Driftwood was a wonderful place for my daughter to deal with her substance addiction and mental illness. The staff was very qualified and services for her mental health needs were excellent. The program created a family environment that supported each other during inpatient, outpatient and aftercare. They have a well planned Family weekend that was essential in helping us, help her as best we can. Driftwood taught my daughter to enjoy life without needing to escape it with drugs. They plan activities for alumni often and meet weekly. I believe their approach and staff are one of the best in the area.
The only negative was that I had to advocate for my daughter to receive some of the therapies promised at admission. Once I talked to the staff they followed through and she received the agreed upon treatment. So I consider that a minor problem and it was resolved quickly.
I would recommend Driftwood Recovery to anyone needing this type of services.
