I'm not sure who ordered all of the tests but it sure reduced the amount of time it took for me to be evaluated. I appreciate the treatment I received and all of the people involved. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. This place and all of their AMAZING staff, including RAs, Counselor, Doctors, Nurses, Kitchen staff SAVED MY LIFE! After years of addiction I feel stronger and more equipped to face this disease head on. There are only minor things I would change: I think the women should have a large covered smoking area like the men do. The two small covered areas would get soaked in the rain and we were still required to smoke there. We would have to stand there to have a cigarette because chairs were soaked. It was cold, wet and uncomfortable. I think the women deserve an equivalent to the men, who have a large roof covered patio. It's only fair. Otherwise, not much to complain about. Some staff were better, kinder than others, but I won't name drop here. Overall, I would definitely choose them over again. Going to Right Step was the best decision of my life and I am grateful beyond words! The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. The medical team handled my detox efficiently and continued to manage my medical need throughout my residential stay. My therapist Carolyn was always available and helped me develop a solid plan for my continued recovery. The tech staff kept things moving smoothly. The meals were good for the most part (i'm pretty picky.) There was no shortage of snacks during my stay. I went to the ER yesterday to get checked for a blood clot in my leg. As soon as I went to a room, blood work and an EKG were done. I went to ultrasound for a scan, all before seeing anyone. I'm not sure who ordered all of the tests but it sure reduced the amount of time it took for me to be evaluated. I appreciate the treatment I received and all of the people involved. Fortunately there was no blood clot. Thank you Grmc, keep up the good work.

It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. I hope this review reaches you when you’re feeling like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.” It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn’t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference—it was Robert’s belief in me. We found San Marcos Treatment Center to be a wonderful place for our Son. As hard as it was for all of us, we can see a difference in him. All the staff people that we had contact with were exceptional. Always kind and considerate. The nursing staff keep us informed on a regular basis, as needed. Him being home is recent, but we can see and feel a difference. His Therapist was great as well. I would recommend San Marcos in a heart beat to anyone who has a child in need of help. I was just discharged from The Right Step, Wimberley, TX, yesterday. This place and all of their AMAZING staff, including RAs, Counselor, Doctors, Nurses, Kitchen staff SAVED MY LIFE! After years of addiction I feel stronger and more equipped to face this disease head on. There are only minor things I would change: I think the women should have a large covered smoking area like the men do. The two small covered areas would get soaked in the rain and we were still required to smoke there. We would have to stand there to have a cigarette because chairs were soaked. It was cold, wet and uncomfortable. I think the women deserve an equivalent to the men, who have a large roof covered patio. It's only fair. Otherwise, not much to complain about. Some staff were better, kinder than others, but I won't name drop here. Overall, I would definitely choose them over again. Going to Right Step was the best decision of my life and I am grateful beyond words!

Support from dedicated therapists and recovery coaches as well as 24-hour staff combined with individually focused medical, nutrition, fitness, and spiritual aspects provide an amazing impetus for recovery and a strong foundation for continued success. WWR uses a tired approach to recovery, providing care and treatment at all levels allowing clients to develop healthy life skills that will support their recovery and overall wellbeing as they transition back into everyday life. The fellowship and community achieved here continues after treatment with alumni events and open meetings. Recovery is celebrated and remains a continued focus. The staff are knowledgeable and truly care about the clientele. This facility deserves all of the praise it has received and will forever be remembered by me as a cornerstone of my recovery journey.

I can't say enough great things about my treatment at RU. I was in the PHP program and the curriculum is awesome. They definitely help you get out of your comfort zone with Open Mic on Wednesdays, which I loved! The mens houses are both very nice and comfortable. And they provide food for us and we can still purchase extra if we want. I would recommend this facility to any and everyone!

Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!

Never thought I'd be reviewing a detox/rehab facility, but Recovery Unplugged delivered. The medical team handled my detox efficiently and continued to manage my medical need throughout my residential stay. My therapist Carolyn was always available and helped me develop a solid plan for my continued recovery. The tech staff kept things moving smoothly. The meals were good for the most part (i'm pretty picky.) There was no shortage of snacks during my stay. I hope to never come back to Recovery, but would recommend it to anyone who is ready to take back their life from addiction.

I struggled with 8 years of addiction... I never wanted to be one of those people that had to say ah I man I had to go to rehab... but truly going to this place really was not at all like anything I expected it to be... this place was really awesome because it didn't feel like some typical boring office space just going over the same cheesy PowerPoint... but it actually was shockingly something I really enjoyed and ultimately looked forward to going each week. It felt like a family in a way, just in a place full of close friends who could all just kinda unload the weight of our problems, share our triumphs, relate to each others lives in ways that you just can't do with anyone else in your life who doesn't understand addiction. The staff here really cares, and it felt really personal like not just through a I care about my job kinda way but honestly like I'm passionate about wanting to see you make it! I want to help however I can so that you can be happy and free to enjoy living again... and I absolutely got that from this place! I am extremely grateful and highly recommend you give this place a try if you're even just thinking about getting clean... you can always leave lol but I promise you... you'll WANT to stay!

If you are debating whether sobriety is for you, I seriously recommend checking out Positive Recovery. I have struggled with alcohol my entire life and now I’m proud to say I’m coming up on 3 years of sobriety. My life has totally changed for the better. I can’t even put into words how much of a win it has been for my family and I, especially here just on a google review. Todd, the counselor, is the best I have ever seen and this was not my first time in a recovery center. If you are thinking about it at all, you probably need to give it a try. You owe it to yourself and your family. It works, I promise.

I contacted Positive Recovery, searching for an IOP program. Although they didn’t accept my insurance, they treated me as if I were a client. They were eager to help, warm, and compassionate. They passed my contact information to centers that did accept my insurance, which lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. I am incredibly thankful for them and glad that I called.

We felt heard understood and supported despite the tremendous pain we was experiencing and having my son in that hospital ms CHERIL WEISE gave me the peace of my mind every single day by keeping me informed about my sons condition and progress even though she had many of patients to care and see, she always return my calls and always made time to meet us in the office with kindness and compassion she kept us updated on my sons progress and provided support during on of the most difficult times of my life. I will be forever grateful for her dedication professionalism and genuine care. I would also like to thank the nurses doctors and therapist. And the lady in front desk in special the lady with blonde hair she always was si nice and sweet always kind respectful and welcoming. I wish I could adequately express my gratitude and admiration for Driftwood Recovery. This place and the staff members and alumni who offered expert support to our young adult son and to our family are sacred to me. As a mental health professional myself, I knew that the key to my son’s healing would require a level of trauma-informed inpatient care that is very difficult to find, especially in the state of Texas. Our son had so many complex issues and the staff offered tremendous empathy while also requiring his accountability. My son found joy, connection, friendship, and a new way of living during his time at Driftwood and then at Riverside. My experience with MedMark Treatment Centers has meant more to me than I ever expected. Walking in for the first time, I felt overwhelmed, nervous, and unsure if I was even ready for the process. What truly sets this place apart is how they treat you as a person, not just a patient. They listen without judgment and take the time to understand where you’re coming from. That alone made me feel seen in a way I hadn’t felt in a long time. There was one moment that really changed things for me. I came in on a particularly difficult day, feeling discouraged and honestly questioning everything. Instead of just going through the motions, a staff member took the time to talk with me and remind me why I started. It wasn’t anything overly dramatic, but in that moment, something clicked—I realized I didn’t have to have everything figured out, I just had to keep going. That simple shift in mindset was a breakthrough for me. Recovery still has its ups and downs, but having a place like this—where there is structure, support, and people who genuinely care—makes a real difference. It gives you something to hold onto when things feel uncertain. It’s not perfect, and there can be wait times or busy days, but the compassion behind what they do truly shows. I’m grateful for the role MedMark has played in my journey, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs support, understanding, and a place to start again.

Moving to San Antonio has been one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever faced. Starting over in a new environment, with a new job and so many new faces, hasn’t been easy. Now 4 months in, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Being away from my family, my home, and my daughter has been tough—but the staff at MedMark have truly made this transition easier by treating me like family.
