| Positive Recovery Center's (PRC) San Marco clinic is a private substance abuse clinic in the San Marco, Texas, area. Adult clients have access to partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), supportive outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare services. They use a positive emotion based approach to recovery. Positive | Treatments Programs Payment Options | It s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & the Room @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call the room . Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey . Who is Kat? Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn t otherwise talk about I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It s a special room & To say that I m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

I hope this review reaches you when you re feeling like you ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it s not on your best day it s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child and smiled. Hey Bud, we re going to get through this. And I don t just mean maintain I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John. It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference it was Robert s belief in me.He didn t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. PRC, and especially Robert Kidd, are the reasons I m here today, thriving. If you re considering PRC here in San Marcos, know that it could be the place where your life changes too.

Hello My name is Massey and I'm someone living in recovery for 8 years 1 month and 13 days. Without Robert Kidd and Positive Recovery, I would not be able to say that. What was provided to me was a safe space to come in out of the dark and learn that it was ok-that I would be ok. I was given an opportunity to improve my quality of life through ownership and action. All that was required of me was that I hold myself accountable. For over 35 years I struggled not just with addiction but fear stemming from years of trauma and suppression. Mr Kidd and Positive Recovery through their methodology and genuine compassion provided me a road map to another way. I will always be an addict. That is what I am, but that is no longer WHO I am thanks to the truth that Positive Recovery provided me. Today who I am is a father husband and quite simply someone that is no longer afraid of being afraid.Words cannot articulate the amount of gratitude I have for Mr Kidd and his team. Thank you for holding me accountable showing me how to do the work and helping me know that I will be okSincerelyMassey B

CLEARVIEW DownIn the heart of Clearview, where shadows sometimes dwell,Lies a sanctuary for souls, a place where we can tell,The stories long buried in the depths of our pain,And here you stand, our lifeline, our shelter from the rain.To the staff and nurses who enter this space,You come with kindness, with warmth and with grace,When darkness surrounds and despair feels so near,You offer your hand, you lend us your ear.In moments of struggle, when the night feels so long,When the weight of the world seems too heavy, too wrong,You ve been our companions, our guides through the fray,With compassion that shines, lighting up even the gray. For those days you choose to show up at dawn,When you had the choice to sleep in, to yawn,You come with your courage, your heart open wide,Embracing our battles, standing firmly beside. When tempers flare and emotions ignite,You wield your calm, bringing peace to the fight,With patience like rivers, deep and so true,In the chaos, you find ways to navigate through. You re more than our caretakers; you re family our own,In a world that can feel so deeply alone,You teach us of love, of laughter, of trust,In the cracks of our spirits, you help us adjust. When the thought of tomorrow seems too much to bear,You lend us your hope, like a breath of fresh air,In the dark depths where suicide whispers its call,You remind us we re not alone in this fall. With words that uplift and hands that can heal,You quiet the storms, and you help us to feel,That life, despite struggles, can still shine so bright,You show us the beauty, you re our guiding light. To the ones who keep vigil through long, restless nights,Who stand at our sides, shining love s gentle lights,Thank you for showing us that we re worthy and strong,For writing our stories, for helping us find where we belong. From every late-night conversation to every heartwarming smile,You remind us we can journey this road, if only just for a while,So here in the halls where our lives intertwine,We offer our gratitude; your love is divine.Your kindness is a beacon, when our hope starts to fade,In the tapestry of healing, your threads are well laid,As patients, we rise, with each lesson you teach,In these moments of suffering, you show us we reach. You are not just our caregivers; you re heroes in scrubs,In the realm of our pain, you re the softest of hugs,For being the light when the shadows loom near,From one of your patients, thank you for being here.As we walk this path of healing together,You show us we re stronger, that we can weather,The storms that life hurls, the trials that came,In this journey through darkness, we ll never be the same. So, thank you, dear staff of Clearview's embrace,For being the family that brings comfort and grace,With each tender moment, with each heartfelt deed,You nourish our spirit; you help us to bleed Into the light of existence, into the warmth of the sun,With your endless compassion, we know we've begun. With all of my heart, this gratitude I send,For being the ones who will always transcend,The barriers that haunt us, the fears that we hold,Thank you for showing us the power of bold. From Alondra

I am a born pessimist, so I spent a great deal of time looking into this place. First, I found nothing negative whatsoever, Secondly, I spent 60 days here and cried leaving. This place and ALL of it's staff saved my life. I can remember spending countless times in the nurses station, at the wellness advocates desk, and even in the Blanco hall, talking to the different staff about my days, my problems, my achievements, etc. And EVERY SINGLE PERSON TOOK THE TIME TO LISTEN AND HELP OR CHEER ME ON!! There's not a staff member in this place that doesn't care about each person. The therapy sessions are incredible and I can't thank them enough for showing me I wasn't hopeless and giving me all the tools I need to have a beautiful, healthy and sober life. I am 45 years old, and I never thought this was possible.

There's one place on earth that I'm sincerely and honestly grateful for and that's Ripple Ranch. Coming from a man who abused drugs for over 40 yrs and I'm only 56 suddenly got tired of all the things that were slowly tearing me apart and killing me physically from my appearance to my health and seeing the scary man I was becoming made me run to God and ask for forgiveness and to truly save me cause I do want to live and wanted me family and real friend's back but most of all serve my purpose here on earth doing his will and that's when God prepared a place for me beginning at Ripple Ranch and thru that opportunity I have begun to gain access to all the important factors in life I was mistreating and taking for granted. After graduating with God leading me throughout all my days, I can genuinely say that this place cares for each and every individual that arrives for help and change and the awesome techs that work there wholeheartedly somehow pour a little extra concern into those who second guess or have hidden reservations that arise throughout there stay, and with the community (all the clients present) makes a bigger difference showing all the daily love they have for one another is just the reason that kept me involved and willing to be part of the solution and escape the real problem and for that I appreciate Ripple Ranch for giving me the chance and help me become the sober man I am today and I give all glory to God.

I'm going on 80 days sober because this place helped me. I loved the Trauma inpatient program. PHP was okay, I felt like it was lacking counseling and also I felt like it was non stop getting in and out of busses. You'll get your phone on lunch and like 90min on Saturday which is nice. But on Sunday when you should be calling friends and family you don't get your phone. The house on 1st street stayed nasty. I brought it up to the techs several times and nothing changed. I would give this place 5 stars but the aftercare completely sucked. I had no idea how sober houses worked or how to get into one. I had to stress out my final day because I had nowhere to go. Also I had no idea how to get a scholarship or even fill my meds... im in their IOP program currently and I'm enjoying it. Aftercare definitely needs to be worked on. I've also talked to many people after they got through with PHP and they had the same opinion. Thanksz that's my Ted Talk.

SARC saved my life. My life had become unmanageable and was spiraling out of control. I was still working my full time successful career, but it was only a matter of time before I could have lost everything I ve spent my life building. Tired of waking up with a black box of wine on my nightstand I threw lord knows what into my suitcase and checked into Cagnon for 38 days. For a girl accustomed to being in complete control I was petrified. I was a mess. The staff was so welcoming and walked me through the process. Was I ready to take 12 weeks off of work? It was life or death and I chose life. The detox process was tough. Reba and Alan made me as comfortable as I could be. I had sweats and nightmares. Roy, a lead counselor calmed me down. My job for 5 days was sleep, hydrate and rest. Gen the program Director Is fabulous. She kept assuring me trust in the process. Allow myself time to heal, grieve and let someone take care of me for once. The days are very structured with wellness, nutrition, groups, education, counseling. Nutrition and routine and self discipline are key. We have one job while in treatment. Show up!! It s impossible not to learn, grow and learn valuable tools and coping skills to set you up for a lifetime of sobriety. All counselors know your name and your case. They are always available to lend an ear and advice. The center is staffed with people in long term recovery. Richard, Steven, Blake, Jess, Mandy Jo all have real life experience , Every night there is an AA meeting and fellow patients can meet in groups to do book study, talk and truly become a recovery family. This is a private facility that works with many insurance companies and helps people who need to make arrangements for private pay. The setting is serene and a wonderful place to heal. Gen, Roy and Paula are true experts in their field. Each with their own individual techniques and special touches to group sessions. I am for ever indebted to the techs, counselors and Karen and Raul Ruelas for their relentless passion in fighting for those struggling with substance abuse disorder to live a long happy life free of drugs and alcohol. World class facility. Amazing caring people who pour their heart and sole into what they do. Highly recommend if your looking for a program that treats the total individual and follows up on you for life. Love you all for all you did for me. XoXo D.Run don t walk!! Jackie should be stripped of her license. She used her position to look up my information and called me at 6:50am in California. This woman has ZERO business running a recovery facility. She heckled me and was relentless on the phone. I filed a grievance with State and against her. So sad she s in charge. Place went downhill after Karen and Raul sold. Tragic. Go to New Day or SOBA. She s a disgrace to the recovery community!! Do not go there.

Like others before me, I walked into this treatment center lost, broken, and unable to manage my life. I WANTED TO CHANGE MY LIFE. I NEEDED CHANGE SO I ASKED FOR HELP! After 3 visits in 2 years, SARC gave me the tools and taught me how to use them to get my life on track. I am very grateful to the staff that run the center. They have the power and skills to work miracles if you want it. I walked out a man reborn! Hell, I didn t wanna leave. Great food. Yummy. This place is so amazing. I was just a scared, strong out girl from east Texas when I arrived arvRecivery Unplugged on Albert Road. They did my intake at 3am, made me comfortable, and put me to bed. I went to sleep and woke up to the most amazing staff waiting to greet me and start the process of detoxing my mind and body and getting me well. Throughout my stay. I was treated with the utmost respect. There was not once that I felt like less than family to these wonderful people. The nurses were at my bedside checking my vitals, the techs were assessing my comfort. My dog was accepted and loved. After detox, the work began. But it never felt hard or overwhelming. The program is easy to follow. There was always someone who could answer questions or concerns. Even in the middle of the night. I just graduated the full 4 month program for Recovery Unplugged. I waited 6 months post-rehab to write my review. I am 6 months sober and I wanted to give a shout out to The Right Step for being part of my journey. The staff are professional, personable, and knowledgeable. My favorite aspect was related to choice; TRS follows a 12-step model primarily but other modalities are allowed to be embraced. I attribute this largely to my success in my sobriety journey. Many rehabs are militant and belittle substance abusers and make it the actual institutions journey to solve and minimize the participant. We were spoken to like competent adults while receiving treatment. From an administrative standpoint I have to point out Georgiana for her extreme professionalism; I attribute her largely to preserving my job while I went to treatment. I was able to focus on treatment and she had an incredible amount of paperwork to complete. I also would likely not be sober today without my counselor Camille. Camille went above in beyond and helped me untangle all the things holding me from being able to move on from this stage of my life while embracing a recovery approach to life. I cannot express my gratitude enough. Thank you, TRS.

This place has a great fellowship group. People are so friendly beyond belief and at first it seems odd. The staff and clients really care about sobriety. Everyone the first day I got knew my name. I have made a new family with the clients coined out with. I have done the inpatient and php program.

For free health care, I don t know why I complain. Probably because I'm a salty lil Karen who can barely get out of bed and when I do; I'm mad I've been to several VAs and Shavano typically completes everything I ask for help with, even if it takes forever. And I really like Dr K.Overall with VA healthcare, or pretty much anything nowdays; being direct and asking for what you need WITH UNLIMITED PATIENCE gets the best results.***ORIGINAL POST***I've been seeing my Shavano Park team since October, and I like the location and staff. Dr K is great. Today there was some hub-bub with the fire department and I was forgotten about in the waiting room and ended up having to be there a few extra hours The pros to this was the waiting room was comfortable, the staff was funny and I got to get halfway through my new library book. The only suggestion I would make would be maybe some feng shui (zen water fountain and tranquil pictures perhaps?) and coffee station/healthy snacks for the waiting room. Where there s a smile, luck arrives.

I left this location to go to one that was a little closer to where I live. Big mistake. I never had a problem there. The staff are kind and my Doctor was the best in the world. Dr.Lin. She even came and seen me when I was in the hospital. Which is something that they just don't do. I miss that place.

I started my recovery journey with Driftwood Recovery on 9/28/2017 and have had continuous recovery since. The facility, food, staff, education, and treatment team are top notch, A+, 5 Star. What really sets Driftwood apart is their community integration program post impatient treatment. The alumni group is strong and gets together weekly in addition to several events throughout the year. There are camping trips to state parks (Big Bend) annual Christmas party (over 150 staff and alumni attend each year), bowling, sporting events, concerts etc. I just returned from Peru on a trip that was hosted by Driftwood. We had a total of 18 on this trip, a trip that still has me smiling! If you are seeking help for yourself or a loved one I highly recommend Driftwood. Driftwood changed my life, sounds dramatic but it is very true!

This was an amazing experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming and understanding.
