At first I had a few little issues with some of the staff but learned my son was the issue not the staff. The 2 staff members I dealt with the most were Crystal and Austin and I have the upmost respect for them they both had went above and beyond to try to help my son with his issues and he ended up needing to go to a more strict facility and Austin and Crystal went above and beyond to find a facility that could help him better and Crystal went above and beyond and took time out of her busy day to take him to that facility so I didn’t have to drive for 2 days to get there to take him. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. This place and all of their AMAZING staff, including RAs, Counselor, Doctors, Nurses, Kitchen staff SAVED MY LIFE! After years of addiction I feel stronger and more equipped to face this disease head on. There are only minor things I would change: I think the women should have a large covered smoking area like the men do. The two small covered areas would get soaked in the rain and we were still required to smoke there. We would have to stand there to have a cigarette because chairs were soaked. It was cold, wet and uncomfortable. I think the women deserve an equivalent to the men, who have a large roof covered patio. It's only fair. Otherwise, not much to complain about. Some staff were better, kinder than others, but I won't name drop here. Overall, I would definitely choose them over again. Going to Right Step was the best decision of my life and I am grateful beyond words! There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. [EDIT/UPDATE] Well, it’s been 5 years since I posted the brief review seen above, and I feel like both this clinic AND me deserve something of an update. I am still a patient of the clinic’s, albeit a patient whose chaotic and life-threatening issues with opiate addiction thankfully have been thoroughly tamed. While Google Reviews isn’t the appropriate venue to detail the grittier personal details encompassed within an individual case of opiate addiction disorder, I will share without hesitation the undeniable reality that without the service of professionally compassionate treatment of the addiction nightmare which first brought me to their doorstep, I would not be alive and able to compose the review you’re now reading. How very happy I AM here today, able to talk about this treatment and the improvements to and gains made in my life, none of which would have been remotely possible without the service provided by this clinic. Relationships shattered by the damage wrought by addiction have been repaired. My apartment becomes a nicer and more enjoyable place to call home with each passing year as I replace belongings that I sold or traded for drugs in the past and add new ones I never had the chance to enjoy “back then.” It’s easier to look in the mirror now that I put on new, clean clothes that I like to wear, instead of rummaging through piles of tattered threads, searching for the least dirty garments I first got from donation bins and the like. My self-esteem grows each passing day. I no longer avert my eyes from those of the people I encounter. I no longer find myself having to constantly look over my proverbial shoulder, worried that the people I know will steal my belongings at the first opportunity they see to do so. I no longer find myself incarcerated, wondering what lunkheaded thing I did to land myself there while I was, no doubt, blacked-out thanks to some atrociously dangerous combination of opiates, benzodiazepines, and anything else I might have imbibed while barking at the moon. Good grief, am I ever glad that those days seem finally to be behind me. One more killer perk which I suspect just might appeal to someone out there: I haven’t been dope-sick—or, I suppose I ought to say “in withdrawal”—not even once since the first day I began treatment. Not. Even. Once. So, if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, do yourself a gigantic, merciful favor by picking up the phone and giving these fine folks a ringy-dingy-ding. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the peace and care that went into creating such a beautiful environment. The property itself is stunning — from the pool and hot tub to the cozy spaces throughout the villa (which feels more like a luxury home than a facility). The daily schedule may look full at first, but it’s so thoughtfully structured. Over time, you start building healthy habits and routines that carry into your everyday life after you leave. Some of my favorite parts were equine therapy at the Healing Horses Ranch (the staff there are amazing!), accudetox, yoga, and personal training. Everything is designed to help you reconnect with yourself and appreciate the little things again. The villa is gorgeous — spacious, peaceful, and filled with comforts like books to read, a beautiful kitchen, and incredible chef-made meals. But what truly makes Sage special is the staff. They don’t just show up for you — they get down in the trenches with you. They listen, they care, and they help guide you out of the darkness with compassion and understanding. The clients I met there became like family. Everyone is going through something, and it’s so powerful to feel seen, supported, and understood in that way. The sheer amount of lives I have witnessed restored from this program is mind blowing. The Clinical staff are comparable to warriors that quite literally go to war against the things that are holding you back from being the best version of yourself. Is the program easy? Absolutely not, but usually, nothing that is worth completing is easy at all and for issues as complicated as mental health and addiction are, it goes without saying that a massive surge of effort and concern have to be applied but the staff here at this program make that giant of a task look more like bite sized and achievable goals. You will work very closely with not only your own therapist, but also every therapist on site. They have aftercare emphasis near the end of your program to ensure you aren't dumped into the street upon completion assuming you are one of the many people in this world that lack a support system, they also come up with long term plans that exceed simple necessities upon leaving which, if applied, will serve you extremely well in maintaining and growing durability in your mental health. I've been through just about every form of mental health help you can imagine. Short term programs, long term, group therapy, individualized therapy, inpatient, outpatient, the list goes on. All it took for me to change my life was a true desire to live, 1 and a half months in their inpatient care and 2 months of their outpatient program. Now I find myself taking steps for my future that I never imagined myself taking. The program caters to just about every life circumstance and they offer several routes so whether you can only attend it during the day and need to go home afterwards or whether you can commit your time to the inpatient portion of the program, they will work with you. If you are on the edge of that cliff in life, take one more leap of faith away from that edge and call them, I can personally attest to the restorative power that this place equipped me with and I hope that you join the many souls that have been strengthened and filled with a renewed desire for life through this organization. I stayed at The Inn for a week with some concerning mental health issues I've never experienced before. The entire staff, from the monitors to the nurses and medication staff, I mean literally, everyone made my time there comfortable and got me all the help I needed. They always had answers for me on anything I had concerns with. One person in particular named Marc Bickgen has shown the most of anyone. He has helped me and taught me so much. He comes to my location for counseling since my wife is using our truck for work. He is always on time, and never once has he looked at the clock to try and run out the door. We have had two sessions at my apartment, so his knowledge and leadership with me in my time of need has been an absolute blessing. I've never been shown the respect or had any counselor take the time to show what it means to have a non judgemental, non biased, no opinion, and provide more tools than I have ever known I possessed to help me. The Inn and Integral Care have been a life changing experience for me, and for the first time in years, I am hopeful with the future. My son was at this facility. At first I had a few little issues with some of the staff but learned my son was the issue not the staff. The 2 staff members I dealt with the most were Crystal and Austin and I have the upmost respect for them they both had went above and beyond to try to help my son with his issues and he ended up needing to go to a more strict facility and Austin and Crystal went above and beyond to find a facility that could help him better and Crystal went above and beyond and took time out of her busy day to take him to that facility so I didn’t have to drive for 2 days to get there to take him. I am forever grateful for everything Austin and Crystal have done to get my son the help he needs.

Support from dedicated therapists and recovery coaches as well as 24-hour staff combined with individually focused medical, nutrition, fitness, and spiritual aspects provide an amazing impetus for recovery and a strong foundation for continued success. WWR uses a tired approach to recovery, providing care and treatment at all levels allowing clients to develop healthy life skills that will support their recovery and overall wellbeing as they transition back into everyday life. The fellowship and community achieved here continues after treatment with alumni events and open meetings. Recovery is celebrated and remains a continued focus. The staff are knowledgeable and truly care about the clientele. This facility deserves all of the praise it has received and will forever be remembered by me as a cornerstone of my recovery journey.

I can't say enough great things about my treatment at RU. I was in the PHP program and the curriculum is awesome. They definitely help you get out of your comfort zone with Open Mic on Wednesdays, which I loved! The mens houses are both very nice and comfortable. And they provide food for us and we can still purchase extra if we want. I would recommend this facility to any and everyone!

Recovery unplugged has been a very important part of my journey. My therapist, staff, the clients, and especially my case manager Chloe have really helped me through this chapter of my life. Chloe was my case manager and really helped me get my doctors appointments figured out , my probation appointments, and answered any other questions I had. My therapist Jess was also very helpful and I felt like she was the only therapist I’ve ever had that I could truly be honest with. The techs are also awesome and really help you through the day. Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!

Never thought I'd be reviewing a detox/rehab facility, but Recovery Unplugged delivered. The medical team handled my detox efficiently and continued to manage my medical need throughout my residential stay. My therapist Carolyn was always available and helped me develop a solid plan for my continued recovery. The tech staff kept things moving smoothly. The meals were good for the most part (i'm pretty picky.) There was no shortage of snacks during my stay. I hope to never come back to Recovery, but would recommend it to anyone who is ready to take back their life from addiction.

I struggled with 8 years of addiction... I never wanted to be one of those people that had to say ah I man I had to go to rehab... but truly going to this place really was not at all like anything I expected it to be... this place was really awesome because it didn't feel like some typical boring office space just going over the same cheesy PowerPoint... but it actually was shockingly something I really enjoyed and ultimately looked forward to going each week. It felt like a family in a way, just in a place full of close friends who could all just kinda unload the weight of our problems, share our triumphs, relate to each others lives in ways that you just can't do with anyone else in your life who doesn't understand addiction. The staff here really cares, and it felt really personal like not just through a I care about my job kinda way but honestly like I'm passionate about wanting to see you make it! I want to help however I can so that you can be happy and free to enjoy living again... and I absolutely got that from this place! If you are debating whether sobriety is for you, I seriously recommend checking out Positive Recovery. I have struggled with alcohol my entire life and now I’m proud to say I’m coming up on 3 years of sobriety. My life has totally changed for the better. I can’t even put into words how much of a win it has been for my family and I, especially here just on a google review. Todd, the counselor, is the best I have ever seen and this was not my first time in a recovery center. If you are thinking about it at all, you probably need to give it a try. You owe it to yourself and your family. It works, I promise.

I contacted Positive Recovery, searching for an IOP program. Although they didn’t accept my insurance, they treated me as if I were a client. They were eager to help, warm, and compassionate. I was just discharged from The Right Step, Wimberley, TX, yesterday. This place and all of their AMAZING staff, including RAs, Counselor, Doctors, Nurses, Kitchen staff SAVED MY LIFE! After years of addiction I feel stronger and more equipped to face this disease head on. There are only minor things I would change: I think the women should have a large covered smoking area like the men do. The two small covered areas would get soaked in the rain and we were still required to smoke there. We would have to stand there to have a cigarette because chairs were soaked. It was cold, wet and uncomfortable. I think the women deserve an equivalent to the men, who have a large roof covered patio. It's only fair. Otherwise, not much to complain about. Some staff were better, kinder than others, but I won't name drop here. Overall, I would definitely choose them over again. Going to Right Step was the best decision of my life and I am grateful beyond words!

It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. I hope this review reaches you when you’re feeling like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.” It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. I wish I could adequately express my gratitude and admiration for Driftwood Recovery. This place and the staff members and alumni who offered expert support to our young adult son and to our family are sacred to me. As a mental health professional myself, I knew that the key to my son’s healing would require a level of trauma-informed inpatient care that is very difficult to find, especially in the state of Texas. Our son had so many complex issues and the staff offered tremendous empathy while also requiring his accountability. My son found joy, connection, friendship, and a new way of living during his time at Driftwood and then at Riverside. My son was hopeless, and our lives were falling apart when I called our insurance company for information on an in-network facility. Their first recommendation was Infinite Recovery, and I am eternally grateful it was. The first person we spoke with was Tanner and then the clinical department. They walked us through a full continuum of care program that was tailored to my son's needs. They also provided the most exceptional family program I have seen, and it has helped our family heal and unite. My son is still in the program living in a beautiful sober living home. Very helpful if you can’t do rehabs. Most likely the better clinic. The only other best option is methadone, subs don’t help compared to that, but only problem their hours are ridiculous and of course if you miss their very few hours they still count that day and you still have to pay for it And they don’t accept insurance except map but if you already have insurance you can’t get map so you have to pay out of pocket and they only take cash which can be a pain sometimes. And intake is $120 for the first week but after that it’s $75 every week.

Good people, invaluable service provided. Very legit (non-sketch). [EDIT/UPDATE] Well, it’s been 5 years since I posted the brief review seen above, and I feel like both this clinic AND me deserve something of an update. I am still a patient of the clinic’s, albeit a patient whose chaotic and life-threatening issues with opiate addiction thankfully have been thoroughly tamed. While Google Reviews isn’t the appropriate venue to detail the grittier personal details encompassed within an individual case of opiate addiction disorder, I will share without hesitation the undeniable reality that without the service of professionally compassionate treatment of the addiction nightmare which first brought me to their doorstep, I would not be alive and able to compose the review you’re now reading. How very happy I AM here today, able to talk about this treatment and the improvements to and gains made in my life, none of which would have been remotely possible without the service provided by this clinic. Relationships shattered by the damage wrought by addiction have been repaired. My apartment becomes a nicer and more enjoyable place to call home with each passing year as I replace belongings that I sold or traded for drugs in the past and add new ones I never had the chance to enjoy “back then.” It’s easier to look in the mirror now that I put on new, clean clothes that I like to wear, instead of rummaging through piles of tattered threads, searching for the least dirty garments I first got from donation bins and the like. My self-esteem grows each passing day. I no longer avert my eyes from those of the people I encounter. I no longer find myself having to constantly look over my proverbial shoulder, worried that the people I know will steal my belongings at the first opportunity they see to do so. I no longer find myself incarcerated, wondering what lunkheaded thing I did to land myself there while I was, no doubt, blacked-out thanks to some atrociously dangerous combination of opiates, benzodiazepines, and anything else I might have imbibed while barking at the moon. Good grief, am I ever glad that those days seem finally to be behind me. One more killer perk which I suspect just might appeal to someone out there: I haven’t been dope-sick—or, I suppose I ought to say “in withdrawal”—not even once since the first day I began treatment. Not. Even. Once. So, if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, do yourself a gigantic, merciful favor by picking up the phone and giving these fine folks a ringy-dingy-ding. You could literally change your life today. Never have I regretted my decision to do so. One love… ✌️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sage Recovery and Wellness Center is truly a healing place. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the peace and care that went into creating such a beautiful environment. The property itself is stunning — from the pool and hot tub to the cozy spaces throughout the villa (which feels more like a luxury home than a facility). The daily schedule may look full at first, but it’s so thoughtfully structured. Over time, you start building healthy habits and routines that carry into your everyday life after you leave. Some of my favorite parts were equine therapy at the Healing Horses Ranch (the staff there are amazing!), accudetox, yoga, and personal training. Everything is designed to help you reconnect with yourself and appreciate the little things again. The villa is gorgeous — spacious, peaceful, and filled with comforts like books to read, a beautiful kitchen, and incredible chef-made meals. But what truly makes Sage special is the staff. They don’t just show up for you — they get down in the trenches with you. They listen, they care, and they help guide you out of the darkness with compassion and understanding. The clients I met there became like family. Everyone is going through something, and it’s so powerful to feel seen, supported, and understood in that way. The therapists and curriculum are absolutely life-changing — I learned so many coping skills that I use every day. I am beyond grateful for my time at Sage. It was one of the most transformative experiences of my life, and I genuinely believe they saved my life. If you’re ready to work on yourself and heal, this is the place to do it. 💛

If you are in need of mental help, freedom from addiction or a mixture of the two, this place is for you. The sheer amount of lives I have witnessed restored from this program is mind blowing. The Clinical staff are comparable to warriors that quite literally go to war against the things that are holding you back from being the best version of yourself. Is the program easy? Absolutely not, but usually, nothing that is worth completing is easy at all and for issues as complicated as mental health and addiction are, it goes without saying that a massive surge of effort and concern have to be applied but the staff here at this program make that giant of a task look more like bite sized and achievable goals. You will work very closely with not only your own therapist, but also every therapist on site. They have aftercare emphasis near the end of your program to ensure you aren't dumped into the street upon completion assuming you are one of the many people in this world that lack a support system, they also come up with long term plans that exceed simple necessities upon leaving which, if applied, will serve you extremely well in maintaining and growing durability in your mental health. I've been through just about every form of mental health help you can imagine. Short term programs, long term, group therapy, individualized therapy, inpatient, outpatient, the list goes on. All it took for me to change my life was a true desire to live, 1 and a half months in their inpatient care and 2 months of their outpatient program. Now I find myself taking steps for my future that I never imagined myself taking. The program caters to just about every life circumstance and they offer several routes so whether you can only attend it during the day and need to go home afterwards or whether you can commit your time to the inpatient portion of the program, they will work with you. If you are on the edge of that cliff in life, take one more leap of faith away from that edge and call them, I can personally attest to the restorative power that this place equipped me with and I hope that you join the many souls that have been strengthened and filled with a renewed desire for life through this organization. Shout-out to Clinical Staff, the Techs and all of the volunteers that give their time to Omega. I will never forget any of you.

I have been in substance abuse treatment 30 plus times. I had never realized that my continual dissent into addiction was driven by trauma. Omega was a wonderful experience that helped me to begin the healing process from childhood trauma. Where do I start! From finding this place to getting in contact with Gil! Gil went above and beyond to evaluate my son at our home. Gil did everything possible to get my son admitted in quickly. My family was turned upside down over night from a head on collision. My son had his spinal injury that left him paralyzed. We were told that the best place for him to get treatment was at TIRR in Houston. Well shame on TIRR for not being any help at all. I spent months trying to get him to TIRR with no luck. I finally did some research and found you guys in Austin! From the 1st day of conversation with Gil he was out evaluating my son the next following week. Gil called me back at the end of the week with the news we’ve been waiting for, since our release from hospital. He was accepted! Mind you I was back in the hospital due to a set back in my recovery. The following week he was admitted in and I met Stephanie! Stephanie you’re an angel! Stephanie went above and beyond to take care of my son. If your family member has a traumatic brain injury and they require intensive therapy to recover as much as they can, this facility has a highly professional team and a welcoming environment to help them. From the leadership to the therapists to the social workers to all of the support staff, the people are great. They try to create a nurturing environment to help your loved ones get back to you. With multiple hours of service per day, that does not come cheap but it is money well spent.

This location off of Airport Blvd is amazing. I stayed at The Inn for a week with some concerning mental health issues I've never experienced before. The entire staff, from the monitors to the nurses and medication staff, I mean literally, everyone made my time there comfortable and got me all the help I needed. They always had answers for me on anything I had concerns with. One person in particular named Marc Bickgen has shown the most of anyone. He has helped me and taught me so much. He comes to my location for counseling since my wife is using our truck for work. He is always on time, and never once has he looked at the clock to try and run out the door. We have had two sessions at my apartment, so his knowledge and leadership with me in my time of need has been an absolute blessing. I've never been shown the respect or had any counselor take the time to show what it means to have a non judgemental, non biased, no opinion, and provide more tools than I have ever known I possessed to help me. The Inn and Integral Care have been a life changing experience for me, and for the first time in years, I am hopeful with the future. Thanks again to Marc B. and the rest of the staff at the Airport Blvd location.

i did discovery's iop and php program and it completely changed my mental health for the better. i've been to a handful of treatment programs and this one was by far the best. i was in such an awful place at the time and after finishing up the program i honestly feel like a new person. the therapists and staff always go above and beyond. they're funny, kind, and honestly make you feel safe. i highly recommend discovery to anyone struggling with mental illness. part of me was sad to leave!

I got sober in residential treatment. But I learned how to stay sober in sober living. Living at Hyde Park mens for 8 months is the main reason I’m 4 years sober today. This place provided the structure and support I needed when transitioning back to the “real” world. Leaving inpatient can be extremely tough. You hit the pause button on your life for a bit but then you find yourself thrown right back into the fold. Nothing has changed except for you. It was in the Arbor’s sober living that I really got to put what I learned into practice. And when I got off course, I had an entire community to help get me back on the right track. I will be forever grateful for my experience with this house.

We found San Marcos Treatment Center to be a wonderful place for our Son. As hard as it was for all of us, we can see a difference in him. All the staff people that we had contact with were exceptional. Always kind and considerate. The nursing staff keep us informed on a regular basis, as needed. Him being home is recent, but we can see and feel a difference. His Therapist was great as well. I would recommend San Marcos in a heart beat to anyone who has a child in need of help. We are so grateful for their programs and how it turned him around. Thank you to everyone!

Hi my name is Kristina San Marcos treatment center was one of the best places I had went to the staff were there to listen and protect when needed. My therapist was the most awesome therapist. You could have Miss Baskin. The CEO was always there to listen and compromise and I was on all the girls units and every girl unit that I went to I liked the staff I was just the bad kid but for the most part the place was one of the best ones I had ever went to😊💕 and also brought two friends together Samara and Kristina
