I went there back in 2012 and 13. What God did for me through using Eternal Awakenings , has sure lived up to their name, God transformed me and changed me by waking me up. I am humbled to still be apart of this wonderful and God fearing place. I’m also grateful and thankful for what God did for me so that I could step into His identity He had for me, so I too could be used for His glory. God is still continuously using this wonderful and beautiful place for His glory, all to bring the lost home, sinners to repentance and salvation to a fallen world. God bless this place continuously in Jesus name !

I went in for treatment at EA several years ago (2011) and I have never looked back. I had been to a facility in Memphis the year before after losing my son in the Army & I couldn’t seem to get my life together. It helped, but when I had a setback, I looked closer to home & found EA just 30 miles away & from the minute I entered that beautiful, stately home I felt welcomed & loved. Jim and his awesome staff as well as the others in treatment made my stay so productive and life changing. I am a minister’s daughter & the faith based treatment helped me get through & arrive back to myself. Even after my husband’s passing in 2019, I relied on the things I was taught & reminded of from my stay. If you need help for addiction or alcoholism, this is a great place to go - you will make friends you never knew you needed and learn things about yourself that carry you through the next phase of your life. I’m so grateful I found EA.

This place is ALMOST like a resort. The property and facilities are beautiful. The food was always amazing , and the head chef is great. He always greets everybody with a smile and takes pride in what he serves. All the BHT were awesome too. This was my first time in rehAb and the fact they never take away. your phone and I could order off Amazon made it soo much easier. The only thing I would add is somehow pairing you up with someone who is a little ahead of you coming off the same substance. So you can ask them what to expect. I literally walked around asking everybody" What's your DOC?" I only found one person. Seemed 80% of residents were there for alcohol. I was there for Fetty& Meth. Took subs too early got PSw which sucked but the nurses did what they could to help and I survived. I did complete the 30 day residential and recommend.

I spent about 60 days here and am feeling very secure about my sobriety journey. There will be things that don’t happen in the time you want them, keep in mind that even if they doubled the staff this would still be the case because this kind of work is like running a marathon. Many of the staff have experience in recovery themselves ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS! You’ll save yourself a ton of grief if you just ask for what you need. There are so many strong feelings you’ll feel and in my experience here the things I felt were dysfunctional were all really just about my brain healing and the difficulty of being away from home. The leaders of willow or so kind and so willing to offer help.

It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It’s a special room & To say that I’m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift 🙏 I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

I hope this review reaches you when you’re feeling like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.” It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn’t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference—it was Robert’s belief in me. He didn’t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. PRC, and especially Robert Kidd, are the reasons I’m here today, thriving. If you’re considering PRC here in San Marcos, know that it could be the place where your life changes too.

Hello My name is Massey and I'm someone living in recovery for 8 years 1 month and 13 days. Without Robert Kidd and Positive Recovery, I would not be able to say that. What was provided to me was a safe space to come in out of the dark and learn that it was ok-that I would be ok. I was given an opportunity to improve my quality of life through ownership and action. All that was required of me was that I hold myself accountable. For over 35 years I struggled not just with addiction but fear stemming from years of trauma and suppression. Mr Kidd and Positive Recovery through their methodology and genuine compassion provided me a road map to another way. I will always be an addict. That is what I am, but that is no longer WHO I am thanks to the truth that Positive Recovery provided me. Today who I am is a father husband and quite simply someone that is no longer afraid of being afraid. Words cannot articulate the amount of gratitude I have for Mr Kidd and his team. Thank you for holding me accountable showing me how to do the work and helping me know that I will be ok Sincerely Massey B

I took a ride on my first ambulance ever. I went to the Guadalupe Medical center. I was brought to Guadalupe Medical center and was immediately treated with first class service. They got to the base of my problem. I was diagnosed. I was monitored for a few hours and released in good health. The staff was nothing but polite and experts at what they did. When I was discharged, I sat in the waiting room by the exit door. I did not have an Uber app. I called Seguin taxi. Apparently they are not in business any longer. The security guard saw that I was in disarray and said is there something I could do to help you sir? I told him my problem. I need a ride I have nobody to take me back home. It would be many hours before I could get a ride home it was 11:00 p.m. and it was raining out. I gave him my address because he asked me for it. The security guard got on his cell phone and a few minutes later told me an Uber will be arriving in 9 minutes. It will take you directly home. I said how much is this going to cost? The security guard said it's all taken care of I'm paying for it. I said oh I didn't know that the hospital pays for Ubers he says they're not paying for it sir I'm paying for it. The security guard paid for my Uber trip along with the tip and refused to take any money from me. This was an act of kindness. He made my day I couldn't thank him enough and just couldn't believe it. This is a great hospital with great people and great security that work at the Guadalupe regional Medical center. This is not something that the security guard does all the time he just did it as an act of kindness. I recommend the Guadalupe regional Medical center. Everyone there is a class A person.

No parent ever wants to place their child in a treatment center. We were very nervous and scared but the entire staff at SMTC went above and beyond to ensure our family felt heard, seen, and validated. Our child did have to wait for several months for a bed to open (no fault to center as the mental health crisis in our world is a lot and not enough places to help ) but as soon as one did the staff as on top of everything and made the transition from out of state as easy as possible. Through the 8 plus months or child was in SMTC we got to see the staff and campus first hand several times and it broke all the stereotypes about these "types of places". The campus is beautiful and tons of engaging and therapeutic activities for all clients. They planned and executed several special outings , BBQs, and fun activities to keep clients active and involved in every aspects of their mental health treatment. Our therapist , Ms. Mcarthur was exceptional and walked beside us the entire way. she will forever hold a special places in our family for all the tools, tips, and support for gave us. She helped our child learn skills to advocate and take a role in their personal treatment. The nursing staff was kind, knowledgeable and professional. Nurse Anderson, Nurse Macola, and Nurse Headly are amazing assets to the facility. Communication was constant, clear and conveyed in a timely fashion. I was very impressed with the fact the SMTC worked with not only the individual client but also us as a family with weekly family therapy sessions. As parents we were very involved throughout the treatment process. We loved the weekly check ins and staffings to ensure we all were on same page and all effective members of the treatment team. We are eternally grateful for SMTC for coming along and walking beside us without judgement during a very hard, scary and emotional season of our lives. TO ALL THE STAFF: we are so grateful and thankful for all your hard work not only with our child but all the children you help! We know nursing is sometimes hard and difficult but know you are a blessing to so many kiddos! you have all touched our lives with lasting experiences! keep up the amazing work you all do! There’s a negative stigma on mental health, but in reality everyone struggles with mental in many different ways and at that time of my life, I absolutely hated being in residential, but now look back as the years have passed. I realize that it was the best for me and I’m in the best situation I have ever been in my whole life just because I went to residential and get the help that I needed. So yes, it can be beneficial for your child. Will it be very scary, Different, and new to your child yes it will. But I’m not saying I did not struggle being in residential for six months. In fact, I absolutely hated it, but it motivated me to be a become my better self this how you become well-rounded citizens of the society and build god habits that last.

Windmill is set amongst a beautiful scenery of trees and deers, that enables peace of mind and a healing quietness for the spirit. This serene atmosphere grows and shines in the people living there and the ones there providing us support through their smiles and patient caring for each other. I was able to learn again what it felt like to be human, sane, and a part of something. Fellowship being the heart of the strength built, I walked away with a community that stands as an army ready to fight together. You will be empowered. It works if you work it. The Orchard changed my life! Between the staff, counselors, and management there unified goal is something I have never seen! From the minute you arrive you are greeted with hellos, smiles, and staff focused solely on you and your recovery. With accomodations similar to a 5 star resort you won't find another facility that pays attention to the little details. Lastly, what I believe makes The Orchard the best in the country....is there program. While learning about addiction, Counselors work with you to address the underlying issues that started you down your addiction journey. Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Sincerely, Dustin❤️

I really needed some accountability and to be around other sober people after a relapse on alcohol in August. I signed up for the online IOP service and my counselor was Jasmine. She was amazing. I found myself looking forward to group everyday and felt a great relief of wanting to use after group. It helped me stay sober and maintain abstinence from alcohol I am truly grateful for the program. Jasmine is amazing and I consider her a good friend at this point she was able to talk me out of using my stinking thinking a lot of times and evaluate my situations from another perspective, which helped me get away from the parts of me that contribute to relapse.

If you’re looking for somewhere to go just to satisfy your family and chill out for a while, this probably isn’t the place for you. If you’re serious about making changes I highly recommend Nova. I went to Austin with a duffle bag of clothes and no plan 9 years ago, I built a new life with what I learned there.

Warriors Heart’s mission is to help first responders, law enforcement, and military heal with dignity. Their Ranch property, located in Bandera, Texas is a 543-acre treatment facility. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Warriors Heart in Bandera, TX was the safest spot I could’ve landed when my life was burning down. I came in drowning in booze, broken from childhood abuse, combat PTSD, and straight rage. They gave me the tools to start building something solid out of all that wreckage. Biggest lesson for me was Ego. I thought I had one, maybe two. Nah, I had a fleet of them! All those past traumas twisting up and firing off as anger. Warriors Heart helped me see it, strip it down, and start putting in the real work. Most of the staff are real ones, and they show up every day with wisdom, patience, and love. It wasnt a magic fix. But it’s where the construction starts, new foundations can be started, and for me, that made all the difference. 🙏

I can't express enough how greatful I am to these wonderful people and the huge heart they have. They spend everyday looking out for and taking care of Warriors who are lost and seeking peace and stability in their lives. Tom Spooner and the staff at WH are wonderful people who truly care about the Warriors they serve! Thanks for everything!

TERESA BRUNSVOLD -100% deserves the salary of 2x whatever she is currently paid. She puts in countless amounts of long hours and late nights; and often came in on her days off. My personal experience with her as a provider was nothing short of flawless. She swiftly identified my needs, enabled me to process, and showed mastery in all facets of the profession. This woman has so much dedication and care for her patients and their recovery. She is selfless, empathetic, educated, kind, caring, empowered, and so much more. Her actions and words alone portray the highest standards of care. Myself and other patients have already promoted Starlite's Military/First Responder programs to case managers and colleagues because of how positive our experiences were (both individually and as a group); which wouldn't have been possible without Teresa. She is an asset that this organization would be foolish to undervalue, that positively helps people change their lives for the better, and that personifies what it means to set the standard. Thank You So Much Teresa, you truly were the angel my life needed, and I know you'll continue to care for and guide others to their recovery goals in ways that only you can ! 5 Stars and more! A+++ Teresa is an absolute Godsend for the Active and Veteran communities of Military/First Responders that come through Starlite's gates as patients. When patients are in crisis, depressed, anxious, addicted, hurt, etc. Teresa rises to the occasion day in and day out giving her best and showing that she really cares; truly; and provides outstanding patient care to those who have served our nation and its communities in some fashion. If you are hesitating seeking help, don't! This is THE PROGRAM and more specifically Teresa is THE PROVIDER, you need!

I was involved with the liberty program for first responders a veterans as well as active duty military. The program is AMAZING! The counselors for our group are basically family members now. They made the 42 days I was there work for me and made sure I left with my tool belt full to deal in this crazy world and with my job as a fire fighter. The facilities were awesome, minus the food…lol. But I am a bit of a food snob. The property was very beautiful in the Texas hill country!

All are offered on a 50-acre campus in Egypt, Texas. They also offer a specialized program for current and former military and first responders. You don’t have to go through all the symptoms o
Wonderful program. Just so you know though: No cell phones (for the most part), and only Cristian religious services are offered. I was not okay with it, and they still let me make it. Great people. (If they still have the acoustic guitar group, highlight it on your schedule, do not miss out!)

I was in Great oaks for 30 days because I was addicted to methadone and more. Great oaks saved my life after 25 years of being scared of going through withdrawals I finally just got so tired of having to have meds to function. So if anyone is going through this please don't struggle alone the people at great oaks are some of the greatest people I have ever met,I have made life long friends in there and we still share a group chat till this day. Going through withdrawals is not bad there they give you meds to help detox and they make it fun. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. I'm over 6 months sober❤️🙏🏼take your life back!
