They offer residential care providing long term support for addiction recovery. Additional levels of care offered include recovery housing.
I went there back in 2012 and 13. What God did for me through using Eternal Awakenings , has sure lived up to their name, God transformed me and changed me by waking me up. I am humbled to still be apart of this wonderful and God fearing place. I’m also grateful and thankful for what God did for me so that I could step into His identity He had for me, so I too could be used for His glory. God is still continuously using this wonderful and beautiful place for His glory, all to bring the lost home, sinners to repentance and salvation to a fallen world. God bless this place continuously in Jesus name !

I went in for treatment at EA several years ago (2011) and I have never looked back. I had been to a facility in Memphis the year before after losing my son in the Army & I couldn’t seem to get my life together. It helped, but when I had a setback, I looked closer to home & found EA just 30 miles away & from the minute I entered that beautiful, stately home I felt welcomed & loved. Jim and his awesome staff as well as the others in treatment made my stay so productive and life changing. I am a minister’s daughter & the faith based treatment helped me get through & arrive back to myself. Even after my husband’s passing in 2019, I relied on the things I was taught & reminded of from my stay. If you need help for addiction or alcoholism, this is a great place to go - you will make friends you never knew you needed and learn things about yourself that carry you through the next phase of your life. I’m so grateful I found EA.

I am writing to express my deep gratitude for the support my family received during my husband’s month-long stay at Banyan. While it was a challenging time for both of us, the facility provided me with a counselor, Jordan, to help me navigate my emotions and learn valuable coping tools. Jordan went above and beyond for me every step of the way. Whenever I needed to talk, express my feelings, or required reassurance, she was always there to support and encourage me. Her reminders that I am strong and that the system works truly helped me through a very difficult period. Thanks to the process and steps provided by Banyan, my husband has maintained his sobriety. Our marriage has completely turned around; we now communicate better, listen to one another, and account for each other's feelings. I will forever be grateful for the impact this facility and Jordan have had on our lives.

I have been to a handful of treatment centers in Texas and just finished my residential program at Banyan. It is operated very well. The programming and structure is different than other places. I couldn’t recommend coming here enough if you need help. The property is very big, nice amenities. The tech/recovery coach to client ratio is definitely the best I’ve seen. The techs are amazing and truly care. Thank you Banyan for everything!

I loved this place. It provided me a save haven to reset my nervous system, and my vagus nerve. Every Employee knows their assignment to provide a space for healing. I needed the structure and time and the learning assignments. I had stopped eating, stopped taking medications, stopped sleeping and my intestines stopped working. Even though I remained functional in my daily responsibilities, I knew I was the walking dead and I needed help. Abba lead me to Willow Springs who provided the education, structure, food, medicine, and he provided the healing, and I would recommend this place to anyone.

This place changes lives. Its helped me to have the tools to accurately address and process what my addiction and addictive behaviors look like both mentally and physically. How my trauma has played a role in my life and how to deal with it and myself daily. The amount of growth that can be gained in a few weeks and months is a miracle. Robert Kidd and his team do an amazing job prompting, listening, and directing healing and true recovery. Its all about being healthy in the end. It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It’s a special room & To say that I’m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift 🙏 I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

I hope this review reaches you when you’re feeling like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. If that’s where you are, know that PRC will give you the help you need, and Robert Kidd is in the business of the highest calling—Saving Lives. There are a few moments in my life that I can pinpoint as truly life-saving, and my experience at PRC is one of them. There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.” It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn’t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference—it was Robert’s belief in me. He didn’t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. PRC, and especially Robert Kidd, are the reasons I’m here today, thriving. If you’re considering PRC here in San Marcos, know that it could be the place where your life changes too.

I have had the pleasure of working with Kelsey from Infinite Recovery and have been consistently impressed by her dedication and compassion. One case that stands out involved a client who had been struggling to find the right treatment placement for quite some time despite multiple barriers and setbacks. Kelsey remained persistent, explored every available option, and maintained excellent communication throughout the process. Thanks to her hard work and advocacy, the client was ultimately placed in the care they needed. Every single person I talked to was absolutely amazing, very sweet, caring, nice, helpful and genuinely wanting to help me and have me suceed...period. San Marcos was a blessing for my daughter and our family. Her therapist, Baskins was amazing. All of the nurses we encountered were amazing. The support we received from everyone was truly so helpful. I watched my daughter blossom over the last 3 months. We had multiple stays at short term pysch hospitals and I knew I had to make the difficult decision for an RTC, but it was a blessing in disguise. The hardest thing I ever did but I can say whole heartedly this was exactly where we needed to be. This has been the only place we actually seen improvement with. They took care of her when I couldn’t. They were so supportive of our family visits. Offering support and advice. My daughter is glowing. She’s happy. She’s healing. I know we wouldn’t be where we are now if it wasn’t for all the support and guidance we received from San Marcos.

I was just discharged from The Right Step, Wimberley, TX, yesterday. This place and all of their AMAZING staff, including RAs, Counselor, Doctors, Nurses, Kitchen staff SAVED MY LIFE! After years of addiction I feel stronger and more equipped to face this disease head on. There are only minor things I would change: I think the women should have a large covered smoking area like the men do. The two small covered areas would get soaked in the rain and we were still required to smoke there. We would have to stand there to have a cigarette because chairs were soaked. It was cold, wet and uncomfortable. I think the women deserve an equivalent to the men, who have a large roof covered patio. It's only fair. Otherwise, not much to complain about. Some staff were better, kinder than others, but I won't name drop here. Overall, I would definitely choose them over again. Going to Right Step was the best decision of my life and I am grateful beyond words!

I was a client here and stayed for 3 months. I honestly only had the intention to stay 1. Each month I agreed to extend because this place was worth it. One of my character flaws is perfectionism and I could complain about some small issues, but honestly that's irrelevant to the support and care I received. After detox, I was assigned the absolute best therapist I have ever had and several amazing recovery coaches that helped me work through my personal issues, legal problems, and my FMLA so I had a job to return to. I learned more about mental health, addictions, and coping skills then I ever expected. I met lot of amazing friends that I still keep in regular contact with since my departure and most of the staff are incredibly loving and caring. Food and facility cleanliness was also great. Overall, I had my ups and downs, but was shown to overcome them and have been thriving more than I had in a long time before arriving to windmill. God always keeps my life "interesting", but I'm glad this place came into my life.

Amazing community including all the staff and residents. Windmill opened my eyes and allowed me to trust others. Vulnerability was easy here, and I was able to become rigorously honest with myself for the first time in many years. I’ve been driven by fear throughout my life and I was angry most of the time. Windmill has taught me humility so that I can accept life completely on life’s own terms.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My feelings about The Orchard Recovery Center go far beyond any words I could ever truly say. I am a changed, renewed, and hopeful person because of the care The Orchard showed me during my 30-day stay. From the beautiful people who maintain the breathtaking 132 acres, to the very top of the medical/ clinical team — and of course Dan — every single person is beyond exceptional. I truly believe the “secret sauce” everyone talks about at The Orchard is community. It begins with the people who dedicate their lives not only to their own sobriety, but to ours as residents as well. I cannot express enough gratitude to everyone who welcomed me into their care with open arms — with no judgment, no preconceived notions, and every willingness to give me the help, the space, and the love I needed to heal from trauma that resulted in addiction. If you are looking for a place to become renewed and begin your recovery journey, I would wholeheartedly encourage you to take a hard look at The Orchard. Set along the Brazos River, the land itself feels special. When the Indigenous people named this river , they could not have known it would one day feel like “the arms of love” to so many. But that is exactly what this land is, and exactly what The Orchard is all about! I took this photo on the last evening of my stay…. It speaks volumes….. Take this road, specially chosen for you, and follow the arrow to recovery.

I came here barely alive, hopelessly alcoholic after years of heavy daily drinking. Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. If you need rehab, you do that after, or find a rehab that does detox on site.

This is a great place i graduated residential treatment there on 6/23/26 and my caseworker Kaitie Moore helped me get into Mastermind Recovery in San Antonio Tx and one of the things that she told and showed me through Mastermind brochure that Mastermind would pay for my first month rent in their sober living $800 upon completion. Now I'm over $1000 in the hole without a way to pay it .As i weight on finishing the drug treatment PHP i get further in the red so that by the time i get the money paid for PHP approximately 3weeks after i graduated i will be approximately $2000 in the red .IOP is the next step and it is promised by mastermind that me being in IOP that would pay for 1/2 months rent of $400 leaving a $400 month balance. Here is the scam It took me 2weeks to get into PHP adding up to a negative balance of $350 plus the $100 deposit =$450 to move in The money for the promised paid for rent has to come from Africa according to the addicts that's hired on by Mastermind who controls the balance taking additional $800 in the red adding up to $1250 in the red Once i start IOP the promise by mastermind is to pay 1/2 months rent leaving $400 left over =$1100 in the red. I was placed on a renal agreement non compliance notice even though I'm broke and cant get a job because i don't have ID placing me in fear of being kicked out of sober living leaving me homeless and displace leading to RELAP and my insurance who spent money for me to get better would start all over again because its well known the success of a homeless person would not and could not determine where he would end up at at night. The recipe seems to be get as much money from my insurance company and then start me back over again and push me on to their network buddies to take more insurance money. The way that mastermind brochure explain it is that these deals for paying for rent would help success. WHY DONT THIS ADD UP?

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Sincerely, Dustin❤️

Recovery unplugged changed my life in ways I never thought possible. The care for their clients went far beyond my expectations of rehabilitation centers. My counselor LuLu helped me find the understanding of myself needed to move forward from active addiction, my case manager Chloe provided me the resources needed to take the next steps, and my Alumni Coordinator Natalie has an incomparable heart for those in recovery as they take those next steps. The program also entrenches you in the Austin recovery community, intentionally becoming the connective tissue with society needed for rehabilitation from addiction. As someone who never wanted to step into rehab, I would recommend the program to anyone.

I’m truly grateful for my experience at Starlite Recovery Center. The support, encouragement, and sense of community made a meaningful difference in my journey. A special thank-you goes to the Journey Bible Study group. The group provided a wonderful space for faith, reflection, encouragement, and fellowship. I especially want to recognize Mrs. Peppa for her compassion, guidance, and dedication. Her kindness and commitment have been a blessing. I’m also incredibly thankful for the Operation Liberty Retreat program. It was a powerful and meaningful experience, and I appreciate everyone who worked to make it possible. A very special thank-you to Mrs. Jill and Mrs. Sabrina for their care, encouragement, and the genuine heart they put into the program. Their support and dedication truly stood out. Thank you to everyone at Starlite Recovery Center who continues to help people move forward, find hope, and build a better life. I cannot say enough good things about Starlite Recovery Center. This place truly helped save my life. I came here on a path of death and destruction, and Starlite gave me the opportunity to reset my life, clear my head, and honestly look at what I was doing to myself and the people I love. One of the most important parts of my recovery was rebuilding my relationship with God, and I cannot give enough credit to Ms. Pepper and the Journey Program. The Journey Program became much more than just another class for me—it became a major part of my recovery. Ms. Pepper is an amazing woman with an incredible knowledge of God and the Bible. What makes her special is her ability to take Scripture and explain it in a way that connects directly to real life, addiction, recovery, forgiveness, and becoming the person God is calling you to be. She doesn’t just teach the Bible—she helps you understand how to actually apply God’s Word to your life. Through the Journey Program, I learned that my recovery could not just be about staying sober. I needed to rebuild my life on a stronger foundation, and for me that foundation is God. The program helped me strengthen my faith, find hope and purpose again, and understand that God had not given up on me. I truly hope the Journey Program continues to grow because I believe what Ms. Pepper is doing can change lives. God deserves the credit, and I am incredibly thankful He used Ms. Pepper and the Journey Program as part of changing mine. My counselors, Sabrina and Jill, were also a huge part of my recovery. Their dedication, compassion, and knowledge of addiction and military trauma are incredible. They didn’t just focus on the addiction—they helped me dig deeper, identify the root of my problems, and build a plan for moving forward. They genuinely care about the people they are helping, and that made a tremendous difference for me. The nursing staff was amazing as well. They treated me with kindness, respect, and compassion and made sure I was cared for throughout my time here. Starlite gave me something I desperately needed: the opportunity to stop, reset my life, and choose a different path. I walked into Starlite headed toward death and destruction. I am walking out with a stronger relationship with God, a clearer understanding of myself, tools for my recovery, hope, purpose, and a new direction. To Ms. Pepper, Sabrina, Jill, the nursing staff, and everyone at Starlite who played a part in my journey—thank you. This place helped save my life, and I will forever be grateful.

Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!
