This treatment center was amazing. The counselors and aftercare coordinators where very helpful in my recovery journey. A good environment to reset and learn what a healthy recovery will be. Food was good and lodging was comfortable. Would highly recommend. For anyone considering this you will not have your phone and your communication with outside people will be limited until closer to your discharge from the program. Don't let this discourage you. It is worth it.

When I arrived at Heartwood in Austin, I was completely broken and had no hope left. I had been to multiple treatment centers before, but there is truly something different about Heartwood. From the beautiful, peaceful campus to the loving staff who actually take the time to truly know you, every part of this place is special.
The team at Heartwood, from the counselors all the way to the owner, are an absolute blessing. They do not just treat you; they care about you on a level I had never experienced elsewhere. Their approach helped me dig deep, open up, and finally begin to heal.
The aftercare is top tier as well. The constant love, support, and encouragement they continue to give even after you leave is nothing short of amazing.
Heartwood did not just help me recover, they gave me hope again. Thank you, Heartwood, for saving my life and allowing me to dream again. I am forever grateful.

I’ve been to multiple treatment centers. This is the best men’s treatment center there is in the area. Top to bottom, there’s not one staff member who isn’t truly doing this deal. You will be seen, you will be heard and you won’t fly under the radar. Heartwoods got a great mix of therapy/clinical practice and 12 step practice. Heartwood is in the helping people industry. This place is ALMOST like a resort. The property and facilities are beautiful. The food was always amazing , and the head chef is great. He always greets everybody with a smile and takes pride in what he serves. All the BHT were awesome too. This was my first time in rehAb and the fact they never take away. your phone and I could order off Amazon made it soo much easier. The only thing I would add is somehow pairing you up with someone who is a little ahead of you coming off the same substance. So you can ask them what to expect. I literally walked around asking everybody" What's your DOC?" I only found one person. Seemed 80% of residents were there for alcohol. I was there for Fetty& Meth. Took subs too early got PSw which sucked but the nurses did what they could to help and I survived. I did complete the 30 day residential and recommend.

I came to Recovery Unplugged on a recommendation from an acquaintance and former client. I was able to not only gain tools to maintain sobriety but also engage in incredibly helpful processing and therapy sessions. The staff is beyond patient and supportive, from the technicians, to the counselors, and the nursing staff. The fact that there were various representatives from AA and NA groups as well as useful meditation sessions and music integrated therapies/tactics only further helped me heal. And the cherry on top is the strong ties that the program maintains with its alumni. I am proud to have gone through the doors of RU and cannot express how grateful I am for the rehabilitation services I received and the community I will cherish and support forever. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It’s a special room & To say that I’m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift 🙏 I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

Such an awful experience, Me and my Husband came into the ER around 9:40am and wasn’t seen until 12pm. He was in excruciating pain and wasn’t given pain medications until 1pm and was only given a CAT Scan on one of his 2 injuries. We were told by a nurse they were fully staffed and having a slow day yet we’ve waited 8 hours, then we were told they are short staff on doctors. Only doctor we saw was rude and impatient with my husband. So much for protecting and serving our disabled vets.

This location off of Airport Blvd is amazing. I stayed at The Inn for a week with some concerning mental health issues I've never experienced before. The entire staff, from the monitors to the nurses and medication staff, I mean literally, everyone made my time there comfortable and got me all the help I needed. They always had answers for me on anything I had concerns with.
One person in particular named Marc Bickgen has shown the most of anyone. He has helped me and taught me so much. He comes to my location for counseling since my wife is using our truck for work. He is always on time, and never once has he looked at the clock to try and run out the door. We have had two sessions at my apartment, so his knowledge and leadership with me in my time of need has been an absolute blessing. I've never been shown the respect or had any counselor take the time to show what it means to have a non judgemental, non biased, no opinion, and provide more tools than I have ever known I possessed to help me.
The Inn and Integral Care have been a life changing experience for me, and for the first time in years, I am hopeful with the future.
Thanks again to Marc B. and the rest of the staff at the Airport Blvd location.

I can only review my experience with my daughter in this hospital. I understand that others may have had different experiences, but I am posting for other parents of young children & teens. I believe that my daughter's hospital stay truly helped her. She was in for about a week, and they were able to give us an accurate diagnosis, and they correctly adjusted her meds. She got to do yoga and art projects, group therapy and she had an individual therapist as well. I was able to speak with her every night by phone, and we visited her 4 days a week. It was extremely difficult to have her away from home, but she was truly stabilized there and it was worth it. You have to trust the process. I'm grateful for the staff, and I am hopeful about my daughter's future. Is everything absolutely perfect? No. But it's a good program for kids who are in crisis.

My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. I came in completely broken and out of options, and from the moment I arrived, the staff met me with compassion, honesty, and the structure I desperately needed. This was the first place where I felt truly seen—not just as someone struggling with addiction, but as a human being who deserved healing and hope.
The Arbor gave me the gift of desperation that turned into the gift of freedom. I left with tools, confidence, and a sense of purpose I didn’t think I’d ever feel again. If you are struggling—or if you love someone who is—this is where you want to be. I am living proof that recovery is possible, and The Arbor is the reason I’m sober today.
Thank you, Arbor family. I owe you everything.

I meant to share this sooner, but life after treatment got busy fast. Looking back now, I’m beyond grateful for my time at The Arbor because it gave me the tools, structure, and support I needed to step back into life with confidence.
Reaching out for help wasn’t easy. I felt ashamed for losing the sobriety I had worked hard for, and I didn’t want to admit I needed treatment again. But reaching out to The Arbor was truly the best decision I made for myself. Taylor Anne Ramsey was the first person I connected with, and she met me with nothing but compassion. She never judged me—she just wanted to help. From there, she connected me with Tiffany Tidwell, who immediately made me feel safe and reassured that I was in good hands. That was the moment I knew The Arbor’s treatment would live up to the warmth and energy both Taylor Anne and Tiffany showed me.
Within days of arriving, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome—it was immediate. Rachel had an incredible way of being both kind and firm, holding us accountable while still showing care. Tamara and Bella were amazing in our one-on-ones, offering thoughtful feedback that pushed me to look within and begin real healing. Mike, my RA, never sugarcoated things, and I honestly appreciated that tough love more than I can explain.
Some people stood out not just for what they did, but for the size of their hearts. Jimmie, Miss J, and Miranda were unforgettable. They carried so much love and energy into the program that you couldn’t help but feel lifted up by them.
And I can’t leave out the meals—Dom and her kitchen team made food that wasn’t just good, it was made with love. It sounds small, but those meals were such a comfort and part of what made The Arbor feel like home.
The programming itself was excellent—structured, engaging, and exactly what I needed at the time. But more than the curriculum, it was the people who made the difference. The staff didn’t just work there; they cared, they showed up, and they created an environment where healing was truly possible.
My experience at The Arbor was GREAT. No complaints, and I will recommend it for as long as I can. I walked away with tools, support, and a renewed sense of hope—and that’s something I’ll always carry with me.

I was referred to The Arbor by a close friend who got sober here 5 years ago, and I’m so glad I trusted them. I was turned off to AA before coming here because of the whole God thing. I had gone to other treatment centers before and tried alternative recovery programs, but never cracked open a big book until I got here. I came in through The Arbor’s doors as a husk of a human being. I was miserable in my addiction and miserable the multiple times I tried to get sober on my own. I couldn’t stand to sit in my own skin. I was desperate for a solution - a way out of my suffering. I gave my all to this program and trusted the direction of the staff and reaped the benefits almost immediately. My recovery manager, Mike, changed my life. He loved me when I couldn’t love myself. Never in any of my past treatment experiences have we had someone directly in charge of our recovery program. The recovery managers act as a stand in sponsor while you’re in treatment and hold you accountable for progressing in your step work. This is a true dual diagnosis facility as well. My therapist Gabi was very supportive in my journey here, as I do struggle with co-occurring disorders. EMDR is an option for those with trauma who are staying long term (which I highly recommend if you can). Equine therapy was another asset - I had Danielle and worked with Tilly and gained a whole new set of tools for coping and regulation that I wouldn’t have gained in traditional talk therapy. The psychiatrists and medical team are highly qualified and don’t just push pills for the sake of pushing pills. Every single staff member at The Arbor is committed to helping you grow in your recovery. From the admissions team (shout out Tiffany) to the support staff, this place made me feel like I was in good hands every step of the way. I left with a newfound sense of self worth and direction and confidence in myself to keep working the program. Thank you to The arbor for giving me my life back. I highly recommend this facility for any out there who are still suffering and genuinely want to live a life worth living.
