You get out what you put in. This place was literally life changing for me. Private rooms, you're assigned a team based on individual patients needs of a psychiatrist, individual therapist, and social worker, the grounds are gorgeous, the groups are run by people who are very good in their fields (like they have doctorates and some are even univeristy professors), the cafeteria does not suck and there are plenty of options (even multiple options for vegetarians and vegans), you can apply for different levels of responsibility (like how much trust staff can give you, you can get to the point where you can leave the unit alone and go for a walk), they give you an assigned private phone and MP3 player, the staff actually appears to enjoy their jobs, you are given resources for all of your needs. BUT you have to be willing to put in the work. They cant fix your problems for you. They cant make you contact your family, they cant make you take your medication, they cant make you go to group; you have to do that for yourself. It may be expensive, but you get your money's worth IF you put in the effort. But you have to want it. No one can do that part for you, but they will give you every resource they can, and will advocate for you tooth and nail with insurance. Of course theres other reviews of "this place is horrid" because its literally a psychiatric facility, not everyone there is going to have a good time. There was another Google review that made me consider and eventually pick this place as the place for me to get help that said "this place is actually ok." Its genuinely actually ok. If youre ready to change your life for the better and dedicate yourself to doing so, they will with open arms be ready to help you. Please consider this option. Compared to other places I have been inpatient, this has been the best mental health experience I've ever had. Genuinely.

This place didn’t just help me get clean — it rebuilt me. I walked in broken, lost, and tired. I walked out stronger, loved, supported, and finally believing in myself again.

I wasn't there for long, but I can see the good this place does for people. I left due to inner conflictions of faith, but that wouldn't be the case with the vast majority of people who come here. I would recommend to 99% of people who have addiction issues, as this place is a hidden haven for those who need it the most. I appreciated a lot of the staff. The fact that all of them used to go here at one point gives another element that adds to the success of this place. Appreciate the willingness to help and to accept anyone no matter who they are. I went through the Bay Area Recovery Center, and it completely changed my life. After getting a DUI, I was required to go through this program to keep my job — but it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.

uhm i don’t really leave reviews as you can tell i made this fake account for food reviews. but i just can’t see this place being so badly rated. i can go on and on about a lot of horrible treatment from other hospitals i’ve been through. and although i can’t remember the first time i was here, i’ll definitely will remember the last time. i had turned 18 in there and was moved into the adult unit. and the staff helped me feel so much better than i ever did in that time of my life. i had gotten a cake, was sung to, and felt so much love and care from the staff and patients. i’m not sure but i think i met the man who owned this place. he immediately helped me calm down and showed immense care for me even though i was being erratic bc i had to be near said abuser who only came to steal my belongings from the police. but idc that place made me feel safe. safer than i ever been before. even if it was just for a week. also they had the best chefs there. never seen a place put so much love and effort into the food the patients were getting. <3

Went here when i was 16 around 2016, i will tell you this, this place will challenge your way of thinking. It was hard sometimes, people dont want to listen and its easy to succumb to negative influences, but these people here genuinely care about the kids they look after. I got to know alot on a personal level and alot of them had been through alot of the same stuff i had been through and could relate. I will say this as someone who has been through alot, you want someone who can relate to you when it comes to a rehabilitation situation. Its easier to trust someone when you know they can feel that pain too. Dont listen to all these lame people giving one stars, none of them know what they're talking about. The councilors and tech staff genuinely want to see these kids do good. They helped me see i had a problem and it isnt right that people want to bash them when they have done so much for me and my peers from that time in my life. If any of you guys see this i love yall and hope yall are doing good. Especially you Ms Haynes and mr Colbert!

Northshore Treatment Center is the ideal place when it comes to chemical/opiate dependency withdrawal services (short and long term), family counseling services, and probation/parole deference.
Licensed chemical dependency staff with assess your specific needs and provide the range of services you require to lead a life free of the consequences of opiate dependency. This also requires you to work your program and be serious about your disposition, while possessing the will and drive to make things better for yourself.
Located in a discreet professional building right off I-10 in the Northshore area, you can be sure that every prospective and tenured client alike will be treated in a compassionate manner, where privacy is the highest priority. There is ample space and seating for monthly meetings, and to wait if necessary.
Plenty of parking is provided in the adjacent parking garage with a minimal walk to the building for senior patients whether you park on the first or second floor.
The video provided shows the walk from parking to the elevator just for reference.
The family involved in this clinic has been a staple in the Chemical Dependency realm within the great city of Houston for 30 years, they have the knowledge and passion for helping Houstonians that transcends what most sterile clinics dream of offering.
Being a client of theirs is important to them and tenure means something, if you are tired of being just another number in an endless stream of carbon copy clinics or the anonymous heartless nature that some state run clinics tend to have then request a transfer today.
The hours are 6am-9am and the staff is available to answer any questions you might have until just after noon, the receptionist is an extremely nice person and will be eager to help. The owner and counselors possess the same good energy and you will feel like you’re in good hands from the moment you complete intake. If you are doing any kind of guest services be responsible and call early.
So if you are having trouble with the law and cannot seem to adhere, on the street chasing the beetle or the dark side of the foil, consider this your sign and call to something higher than just SURVIVING. Take the first step to a new life, brighter disposition, and say goodbye to the days of unwell and drag. The power is in your hands!
