⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Warriors Heart in Bandera, TX was the safest spot I could’ve landed when my life was burning down. I came in drowning in booze, broken from childhood abuse, combat PTSD, and straight rage. They gave me the tools to start building something solid out of all that wreckage. Biggest lesson for me was Ego. I thought I had one, maybe two. Nah, I had a fleet of them! All those past traumas twisting up and firing off as anger. Warriors Heart helped me see it, strip it down, and start putting in the real work. Most of the staff are real ones, and they show up every day with wisdom, patience, and love. It wasnt a magic fix. But it’s where the construction starts, new foundations can be started, and for me, that made all the difference. 🙏

TERESA BRUNSVOLD -100% deserves the salary of 2x whatever she is currently paid. She puts in countless amounts of long hours and late nights; and often came in on her days off. My personal experience with her as a provider was nothing short of flawless. She swiftly identified my needs, enabled me to process, and showed mastery in all facets of the profession. This woman has so much dedication and care for her patients and their recovery. She is selfless, empathetic, educated, kind, caring, empowered, and so much more. Her actions and words alone portray the highest standards of care. Myself and other patients have already promoted Starlite's Military/First Responder programs to case managers and colleagues because of how positive our experiences were (both individually and as a group); which wouldn't have been possible without Teresa. She is an asset that this organization would be foolish to undervalue, that positively helps people change their lives for the better, and that personifies what it means to set the standard. Thank You So Much Teresa, you truly were the angel my life needed, and I know you'll continue to care for and guide others to their recovery goals in ways that only you can ! 5 Stars and more! A+++ Teresa is an absolute Godsend for the Active and Veteran communities of Military/First Responders that come through Starlite's gates as patients. When patients are in crisis, depressed, anxious, addicted, hurt, etc. Teresa rises to the occasion day in and day out giving her best and showing that she really cares; truly; and provides outstanding patient care to those who have served our nation and its communities in some fashion. If you are hesitating seeking help, don't! This is THE PROGRAM and more specifically Teresa is THE PROVIDER, you need!

I was involved with the liberty program for first responders a veterans as well as active duty military. The program is AMAZING! The counselors for our group are basically family members now. They made the 42 days I was there work for me and made sure I left with my tool belt full to deal in this crazy world and with my job as a fire fighter. The facilities were awesome, minus the food…lol. But I am a bit of a food snob. The property was very beautiful in the Texas hill country!

For free health care, I don’t know why I complain. Probably because I'm a salty lil Karen who can barely get out of bed and when I do; I'm mad 😂 I've been to several VAs and Shavano typically completes everything I ask for help with, even if it takes forever. And I really like Dr K. Overall with VA healthcare, or pretty much anything nowdays; being direct and asking for what you need WITH UNLIMITED PATIENCE gets the best results. ***ORIGINAL POST*** I've been seeing my Shavano Park team since October, and I like the location and staff. Dr K is great. Today there was some hub-bub with the fire department and I was forgotten about in the waiting room and ended up having to be there a few extra hours😂 The pros to this was the waiting room was comfortable, the staff was funny and I got to get halfway through my new library book. The only suggestion I would make would be maybe some feng shui (zen water fountain and tranquil pictures perhaps?) and coffee station/healthy snacks for the waiting room. “Where there’s a smile, luck arrives.”

This was an amazing experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming and understanding. The counselor (Steve) is one of the most knowledgeable and sincere people I've ever had the privilege to meet and learn from. He welcomes all who are willing to put in the work to improve their lives and help others do the same. This is a safe and judgment-free environment that will not only help you and your loved ones understand the daily struggles of addiction, but will also teach you to understand and appreciate those around you in your day-to-day life. Waking up to deers running around on the grounds is just breathtaking, and the perfect way to start the day. There are also adorable goats (yes goats), plus horses who love to accept carrots that you can get from the kitchen. Tennis courts, basket ball hoops, swimming pools, Jacuzzis and lots of long walks close by. The staff are caring and always ready to help, the chef is wonderful, providing delicious fresh food every day, they even have their own veggie and herb garden. Soba Texas is a beautiful, serene place, providing the perfect environment for self reflection and the process of healing from life's challenges. Plus they allow you to bring your pet if you wish, which is refreshing and so nice. Group meetings and sessions are empowering and educational, Soba Texas provides a healing break away from the world and a chance to regroup, learn, grow, and then return to the world refreshed, invigorated and ready to fall in love with life again. Yup, clearly I recommend this lovely place.

First and foremost I want to say I would give SOBA a million stars if I could. Many leave false reviews and I witnessed this multiple times. Addicts know how to manipulate and are the best of the best at doing so. SOBA has rules in place for 100% success and 100% safety for all in treatment. If you violated the rules you must be terminated to keep it a safe environment for all of us that want to heal. If a client is discharged at the fault of their own actions the first thing I heard multiple times is I am going to leave a bad review. Thank you SOBA for taking a false bad review and keeping this a safe place to recover. Sadly to say we are a family of 8 (YES 8) that reside in Michigan and have recovered out of state only because of SOBA. We all have years of sobriety due to the highest standards SOBA has set to teach you a beautiful new way instead of using mind altering substances. I was petrified at age 45 to enter a treatment center and I had an extremely bad attitude when I arrived! I was determined to find something wrong with SOBA so I could have a reason to leave. SOBA is different than the other treatment centers we tried multiple times in Michigan. We all failed on numerous attempts. SOBA is loving, kind, knowledgeable, safe and a peaceful place to recover. SOBA far exceed my expectations and I stayed in treatment for 16 months. Our children (3) stayed in treatment for 2 years. My sister and nephews also recovered at SOBA with a lengthy stay in sober living. It is so important to reside in sober living after inpatient and do the work. Leaving treatment early will end in failure. If it were not for SOBA I can honestly say several of us would not be alive today.

I went to the ER Sunday (as they said it was the least busy, which was true) evening for a simple back issue. I started by calling to confirm basic information and the AOD (Ticho, I think was her name) was very nice and informative. My daughter attended Rise Inspire Academy for 2½ years and graduated in 2025. We were referred to the program by a close friend who works in the recovery community, and I'm truly grateful for that connection. Rise made a meaningful impact in my daughter’s life. She began her journey to recovery in 2023, and today, she’s the only clean and sober student in her graduating class. That speaks volumes about her commitment — and the support she received. Throughout her time there, my daughter was offered counseling, coaching, and a safe place to heal and grow. The program isn’t magic, and it’s not easy. But for students who are ready to put in the work, it can work. The staff includes some very kind, devoted individuals who truly care about the kids they serve. For that, I’m thankful. However, my experience as a parent was mixed. I found communication with the staff to be somewhat lacking. It often felt like they were focused entirely on my child — which is important — but I also felt left out of the loop and that my feedback was not always welcomed or acknowledged. That made things challenging at times. One concern I want to raise is how my daughter was led to believe she had a chance to work at the school after graduation. She went through the process of creating a recovery plan, submitting a resume, and even had an interview with the director, Evita. But in the end, nothing came of it, with no clear explanation. I can’t help but feel this decision may have been influenced by my own willingness to speak up about certain safety concerns and the need for stronger leadership. That was disappointing, especially after the growth and hard work my daughter had shown. Despite the challenges, I do strongly recommend Rise Inspire Academy to families with teens struggling with substance abuse. This school offers a life-changing opportunity for young people — but it requires effort, honesty, and a desire to change. For those who are ready, this program can be the turning point.

If you're looking for a place to get clean and you're a vet, you can't ask for a better place to do so. This place has the usual issues, remember when you're coming here, this is the government nothing actually works correctly or the way it should half the time. Try not to focus on that let it go worry about your purpose here. I'd say a small amount of staff you might have conflict with but 99% go out of there way to help you. Covid coming back is making it very challenging to stay focused on what you need to and not on the stuff you can't control. Remember have an open mind take what is good for you and leave the rest but remember they've been doing this some of them a long time make sure you listen with an open mind and especially the people who have been addicts they have good advice.

What can I say about the place that it's a very good clinic to go to. I've been to other one and never got the help that I got from CMS. They are very understandable people help you whatever you need or should I just say if they could help you out they got you they want you to succeed in life not to be a failure it's kind of distance from where I live but it's worth going they could help you get transportation out there with the V.I.A TRANSIT. I went to alumni last week to get my 1 year sobriety coin and it was my first visit in about 6 months, and what a total disappointment this has become ! Only 2 people spoke the entire time, not even asking if anyone else would like to share, which I had planned on doing, and I'm not joking when I say that both of their speeches was reminiscing about how much fun they had when they were on drugs or alcohol. The meeting ran over by almost 30 minutes because both of them took so long, and to make it even worse, they didn't even have any 1 year sobriety coins !! Bring Priscilla back ! It was a wonderful recovery place when I attended, now it's a JOKE ! Waste of my time, never going back! I feel sorry for the inpatient people that were there because that alumni meeting did absolutely nothing to help them !

Laurel Ridge Treatment Center, particularly the Mission Resiliency Department, offers an exceptional environment for military personnel and veterans looking to address behavioral and mental health disorders, including PTSD, major depressive disorder, and anxiety etc… During my stay, I treated this center as a health retreat, maintaining a positive attitude that significantly contributed to my healing process. I recently visited Laurel Ridge Treatment Center a month ago and was impressed by some of the friendly staff on Trinity. By the end of my visit I knew this facility was exactly what I needed. This place has mixed reviews and that’s because not all the staff are the same. Hearing staff gossip made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Made me have pre-judged opinions of fear of certain people. This facility should really work on consistency with policy and procedures. Dealing with behavioral health is not an easy job and I thank this place for helping me. Special thanks to Miss Naelli for taking the time in helping me understand the flow of daily activities and keeping us safe by herself. Miss Keeana and Miss Destiny are so professional, fast and supportive of each other they also kept their promise! Miss Keeana provided me with vital information I had been seeking for days because her nurse filled in the gap allowing Keeana to research just for me . Thank goodness for Miss Krystal! I am thankful for her! Miss Krystal came over and I was afraid of her at first (prejudging fear from uneducated gossip) the truth is I felt so safe with her watching over me. She is firm, passionate, and caring to all needs. She taught me to focus on myself and not the drama around. I felt so zen afterwords. The small gestures these ladies provided went a long ways. I will definitely come back here and definitely be more supportive with my family after meeting them!!!!Thank you to all the group therapists too! Hope to not see yall soon 😄

I had the unfortunate experience to spend my birthday this September (along with 9 other days in the hospital). Thankfully I was at North Central Baptist Hospital. I cannot say enough good things about this facility, the doctors, NURSES (in particular) and staff. It was my first experience being admitted to the hospital and a dream patient I was not. The nurses and staff were so caring and didnt make me feel like a pain in the butt. 3rd Floor Nurses Zach (who i had the privilege of being my day nurse most of the days of my stay) was absolutely outstanding. He was patient, caring, so smart, would lead and collaborate with other memebers of the care team and nurses. He was a born leader, deserves a raise and I cannot say enough good things about him. Then there was King. My night nurse. She was so fantastic in dealing with me, my heath issues and really looked out for me and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. Zach and King honestly went above and beyond and only lead me to believe that the nursing staff as a whole is properly educated, compensated (though they both deserve raises), lead, protected and encouraged to do their best every day --that is what I feel I got from both Zach and King every day -- their best. And I was just one of their patients. Dont mean to ramble, but I cannot say enough good things about this facility and a big thank you to Zach and King who were outstanding. And I cannot forget Tonya -- the wound care Queen. She would come in the room like a Tornado, work her magic, and be on to the next patient to ease his or her discomfort. She was a true leader and exceptional. Zach, King and Tonya - -thanks for allowing me the privilege of being your patient and receiving your expert level care. You made a difference in my life and recovery and I will never forget you.

Every time I have visited the clinic, the staff are professional, courteous, and welcoming. My wait time has always reasonable and (knock wood) I see no reason why that should change. Good looking building and office space. Free parking with front and rear access. Clean bathrooms. People in waiting room respect each others space and privacy. Inside the patient rooms are clean and equipment functions well. I would not trade my PPO for the world - he is a veteran and has compassion, understanding, and tolerance that civilian medical professionals just don't get.
