What an incredible, amazing, wonderful, beautiful, awesome place and community this place is! I was searching for a PHP/IOP/Sober living facility for weeks to help me continue on my path of recovery and as soon as I made my first phone call and spoke to Jacob I knew it my heart I had finally found the perfect spot for me. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful and supportive, the group sessions along with my peers helped me fully understand this disease and without them I’m not sure if I would’ve made it. My appreciation and gratitude for this program are through the roof and I would HIGHLY suggest anyone who needs help with addiction and mental health and staying sober to contact this place. They are #1 in my book and again I cannot give them enough thanks and praise for everything they’ve done for me!

Bay Area Women’s Recovery Center is straight-up the reason I’m alive today. This place didn’t just help me get clean — it rebuilt me. I walked in broken, lost, and tired. I walked out stronger, loved, supported, and finally believing in myself again. The staff here don’t just do their jobs — they pour their hearts into every woman who walks through the door. They gave me strength when I had none, love when I couldn’t love myself, and a community that still has my back long after treatment. If you’re looking for a place that actually cares, that fights for you, that reminds you who you really are — this is it. Bay Area Women’s Recovery Center saved my life, and I’ll forever be grateful.

I wasn't there for long, but I can see the good this place does for people. I left due to inner conflictions of faith, but that wouldn't be the case with the vast majority of people who come here. I would recommend to 99% of people who have addiction issues, as this place is a hidden haven for those who need it the most. I appreciated a lot of the staff. The fact that all of them used to go here at one point gives another element that adds to the success of this place. Appreciate the willingness to help and to accept anyone no matter who they are. Thank you, kindly.

I went through the Bay Area Recovery Center, and it completely changed my life. After getting a DUI, I was required to go through this program to keep my job — but it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. I’ve now been clean and sober for almost 10 months. The staff truly care and helped me believe in myself again. A huge thank you to Mr. Billy and Blake and everyone there for guiding me through my recovery. My DUI was recently dismissed, and I believe it’s because God saw the change in me. My wife and kids thank you too — you didn’t just help me, you helped restore my family. If you’re struggling, I highly recommend this program. It gave me my life back. F. Riley

VA 5-Star Rating I enrolled in Veterans’ Health Care after a somewhat stressful period in the civilian medical system. The VA Service has been nothing but outstanding. The level of professionalism, service, care and respect is incredible. Whether we’re talking about the Doctors, Associates, Nurses, Technicians or Administrative Staff, the dedication and commitment goes way beyond a “just a job” attitude, I am a cancer patient with a number of other health issues and I have nothing but gratitude and praise for everyone who has worked with me. That goes double for the Oncology and the Neurology Departments. Thank you VA.

GTX Detox was a total game-changer. Yeah, it wasn’t cheap — but honestly, it was worth every penny. From the first call, they made me feel like a priority, not just another name on a list. They handled everything smoothly, from detox to planning the next steps in recovery. What stood out was the quality — the staff, the support, even the environment felt top-tier. They knew exactly how to help me get through the worst and actually stay clean. If you’re serious about getting your life back and want the best, GTX delivers, no doubt.

Very good to my son. They left no stone unturned to help him and provide resources. Involved family in treatment process and determining mental status, as they know the patient the best. Included family and patient for the best outcome instead of just throwing him back in the streets before he was ready. It was actually alright I guess. I think their goal is to stabilize you and get you discharged to outpatient care as quickly as possible., I was expected to take care of myself (I changed my own linens frequently, made my own bed, was expected to remember the clothes washing process, was not reminded for hygiene practices, had to speak up anytime when speaking to or making a request with a nurse or tech) which sucked considering I was not admitted with my medications in hand, which if I had those that wouldn't have been an issue. If you have the precious opportunity to prepare, bring all of your current medications with you. I didn't have my identification on me, they still took me in though, thank God. My family struggled to keep up with where they were taking me during processing and stuff since they couldn’t access very much information without my consent due to HIPAA protections, and I didn’t fully understand that at the time. I did consent though, it was just my first time being processed like that so I really didn't know what was going on or what was expected of me. The nurses and doctors I recall did explain as much as possible to me, but I did not ask probing questions about my treatment and mostly experienced it, my mom and dad knew how to ask probing questions regarding treatment whereas I did not. There's a significant difference in approach. Everyone was really nice though, I only ever experienced friction from the other patients (uncommon, but people are people), even then it was all okay, I trusted the staff to step in if it got too bad, plus there was the isolation room if I really didn't feel safe which I thankfully never had to use. Be kind to the staff handling you and you should be comfortable in knowing to expect that treatment back. Enrichment outside features: Basketball, a football (if it can be found), a very nice path to walk that totally isn't bait for runners (anyone who sees the corner will know what I mean, just don't do that though), and a gazebo that genuinely at the time of writing this needs wasp spray inside the top. It was a bit scary laying down in there and seeing all of the wasps. On days where outside enrichment is doubled, there is a secondary building where you can color pictures with marker, listen to music, play board and tabletop games, and a separate wing with a basketball court. The building was unfortunately extremely cold in the connecting hallway, but the enrichment chambers were warm enough. If you end up in HCPC and are lucky enough to have visiting family, ask for something warm to wear (within regulation of course). Enrichment inside is far more limited, again, if you have family, do request something for yourself. A book if you have the attention span to read. There is a TV that for half the day plays music, and from the afternoon-on plays movies and television shows. Don't be afraid to ask to change the channel, but consort with your fellow patients first was the rule of thumb. There's also UNO which was fun to play, dominoes, coloring sheets and crayons, three meals a day, and your bed. Seriously, don't underestimate the power of the bed. The food is pretty good, too. Except the cucumbers which I found icky but they can't seriously account for personal taste unless you have a food allergy or dietary restrictions. These aren't exactly therapeutic activities, but help you to bond with your ward-mates and pass the time. It is quite loud inside, but you can ask for earplugs at the front desk. Staff have to shut doors firmly (which may be percieved as "slamming" doors) to secure them which is disruptive. They don't tend to do this after curfew as far as I can remember, but it is worth noting in this review. I was extremely lucky to have family involved and the help of the social workers assigned to our wing that helped me make sense of everything. Shoutouts go for II-C, if you see this then you probably remember me still but you did amazing for working with pretty much nothing at all. Sincerely, thank you.

This place have gave me so much to hope for due to the staff Ms.jasmine, Mr>derrick, Ms.talisha, my counclor Ms.rachel and many more of the staff. The love each of these people have for the patients and care its unexplainable. coming from using hard drugs and not having a sense of care for myself and to walk thru these doors and the arms are open to love you till you can love yourself is amazing, me going back out and relapsing and scared to come back but when I thought about the staff and how much love the gave me I was ready to walk back in the doors and now I feel so much stronger because how much they have put so much love in me again. I'm forever grateful for this place and I always tell others who suffer from addiction that this is where I found myself again, and many found the same from their experience also. LOVE YALL SO MUCH!!!!!!!!

So thankful for my Santa Maria Family. My sister was her about 3 times in 2 years. Every time we tried to get her admit, we didn’t follow protocol and the staff always assisted us and she was always approved! The staff looked out for my sister and niece, it takes a village and thank god for each and every staff member here! From the counselors to the security. Instill updated them on my sister because I know they care for her. I never got to visit inside so no comment but i witnessed my sister get her own place, look healthier by the day and get employment. She a break and time to recover. Will always be grateful for their services.
