The office staff need to get it together. I turned in a paper with my symptoms for the doctor and it never reached her. I was expecting to go over them next time I saw her and she had no clue about it. I've called the nurse and said it felt like someone else was controlling my thoughts and all they did was up the medication. They're with the people that do this to people.

I attended Burning Tree Ranch in 2019 after having been to multiple inpatient treatment centers. I was drawn to Burning Tree because of its long-term, Big Book–based approach, and it delivered on that promise. My time there helped me better understand alcoholism as a disease, address my root issues, and build a sustainable path to sobriety.
A major strength of the program is its focus on healthy family involvement. My family gained education, boundaries, and non-enabling support, which was an important part of my recovery. Their aftercare program also stands out for keeping clients engaged and accountable well beyond treatment. Many of my closest connections today are still part of the Burning Tree community.
If you or a loved one struggle with chronic relapse, it would be worth exploring whether Burning Tree is a good fit.

Not all the staff are perfect. I did meet a lot of great people. Tempest was amazing bright cheerful smile. Both Angie's were awesome. My favorite person was Juanita! I will say the dietary needs to be worked on especially for diabetics. We are not suppose to eat carbs like other patients. The group activity were wonderful. I had a lot of fun inside the block with my hall mates. The patients help each other and make the days go by.

When I first got here I didn’t trust anyone, but that started to change. The women’s groups helped me feel safe for once and I could finally open up without fear. They taught me how to believe in myself again, after years of feeling invisible. Some days were tough and the place can get a lil hectic, but the staff always tried. I’m heading home soon and I actually feel like I can parent my kids again. That means everything to me.

I entered CADA March 30, 2017, I was completely out of hope, and full of despair, the only solution I thought I had was suicide. My drinking, and drug use took me to a place of desperation. I could not stay sober, but I could not quit using. I went 20 plus years of suffering. The only coping mechanism I had, for every emotion, was to change the was I felt with drugs, and alcohol. When I was sad, I used, when I was happy, I used. My life revolved around when I would get my next bottle, or find my next high. I lied, cheated, and stole, whatever it took to get my drug of choice. I destroyed my family, and friends. I was like a hurricane in people I loved lives. I saw only darkness.
In CADA, I learned tools, coping mechanisms, of how to deal with life, on life's terms, without alcohol, and drugs. I gained a new sense of self worth. I started to recover from a disease that had already taken so many I loved, including my mother.
CADA took another chance on me 6 months into my recovery. I was hired as part of the support staff. I continued to learn and grow, in the place that saved my life. Three, and half years later, I am now part of the Peer Support Team, giving back, what was given to me.
One of my favorite quotes is, "It is always darkest before the dawn." CADA gave me my dawn.

CADA offers a treatment solution for almost anyone! It is affordable and very comprehensive in its therapy. My favorite programs at CADA are the adolescent treatment facility, which includes a full time teacher, and the Family program. Women who are pregnant, or have children are welcomed in the family hall. Their children attend public school. Infants and toddlers are cared for while the ladies participate in their groups or counseling sessions. CADA has been a LIFESAVER for hundreds of recovering people!

I just wanted to say that I loved my 90 day stay over at the ranch and i feel it played a big part of who I am today the staff was amazing and every Thursday and Sunday we would worship and share the word of God but I really appreciate the staff for everything they’ve done for me while I was there I went back in December 2023 to March 2024 and I can say it’s helped a lot and I would like to say that Samantha and Jason were two of my favorites and Jeff and Lesley were two of the nicest people you could meet on this earth This place will always have a special place in my heart :)

I arrived at the mission on November 30, 2018 broken and lost, an addict with no sense of direction and 17 years of self medicating. I joined the one year program then graduated to the internship program for another year. Once I completed my internship I became a staff member which lead to another four years. This facility is caring. The staff listens and the doctors or PA's are incredible. I have been coming here a lot of years. They have not let me down. I really don't know what I would have done without Burke. Probably travelled a lot of miles and not received the help that I needed. My case worker is the BEST. I've been her client for 15 yrs. Hey! I am so thankful this has been a place of refuge for my socioeconomical and domestic violence problems I have two protective orders on two parties to leave me alone. I have had a past of bad boyfriends and their narcissistic friends who have lied to me and stolen from me and looked past really simple health issues which fogged me up really bad for a long time. I mean I almost died at least once or twice as a young child and have found some really bad deals growing up along the way. Wow! Keeping my own beliefs and trying to keep the enemy away and out of my mind body spirit has not been easy as a middle aged woman.
Burke is alright. I am grateful for them, but I don't like it when they change my appointments when I rely on the city bus or Uber, etc.
No I am not the one too good for the five dollar bus vouchers.

Well at 40 I have to admit as a patient there at Burke I honestly had a recent problem with missing an appointment and rescheduling myself, so there is the humanity I have! Today Feb 18, 2022 was a wonderful day to visit Burke, Hearts for the Homeless was there. It is always good to see them. They made me my sugar cookies I love so much ❤️ with colored frosting and sugar sprinkles.
