My review is based on my initial interactions with the staff at The Meadows Texas. My decision to choose this program for my Mother was made with complete confidence. The team at The Meadows Texas took time to listen, provided comforting words, gave advice, and explained their program in detail. Mark Degataga (Admissions Specialist) was my initial point of contact when I called to get information and I had already spoken to 9 other companies. He made me comfortable to go into detail about my Mothers struggles and was knowledgeable about the services The Meadows offered. Mark’s passion for the program and detailed information made me feel confident that this program was what we needed for my Mother. Mark stayed in communication with me over the course of 8 days. Answered all my questions and checked in not only on my Mothers progress but to see how I was doing as well. Although the ability to tour the facility was not an option due to privacy of patients, Mark gave a detailed description of the property, rooms, therapy, treatments, and activities that were going to be available throughout the program. Mark’s communication from the initial call all the way through admissions was extraordinary! He even called me to see how I was feeling after my Mom was situated and transported. Brenda Henson (Patient Financial Coordinator) was the second person I spoke to at The Meadows. She was professional and addressed all concerns. Not being able to tour the facility was still something I really wanted to do but understood the privacy of patients is important. I felt like at the very minimum I needed to see the grounds. I drove to The Meadows and had the opportunity to meet and speak with the Executive Director Lori Bachman. At this point I had already narrowed my decision down to 2 places. My conversation with Lori and ongoing communication with Mark made me feel at ease. The grounds were beautiful and Lori’s passion shined through just as Mark’s and Brenda’s did. They were genuine and are truly in this to help patients. Rehabilitation Programs are the initial stepping stones to help individuals start their road towards a better future. I know there is a lot of hard work and dedication that will be needed for ongoing success. I’m excited to see how my Mom will benefit from the treatment and services offered by The Meadows staff. I will post an update once services are completed. Thank you again to Mark, Brenda, and Lori for their compassion and assistance when dealing with a difficult time and helping this be a seamless process.

I’m writing this review as it has been 6 months and 1 day since a small group of family and indirect supporters led me to Enterhealth after months of isolating with Tito’s was followed by years of binge drinking and drinking throughout the day, to get through the day.
Everyone’s journey in sobriety is different and people take away different things from recovery. This is my 2nd time to go to treatment and it has been completely different than my 1st time. I feel like Enterhealth not only “got me sober”, but they helped me battle this by addressing my physical health, my strengths and weaknesses as well as my mental health. I also feel like I was given the freedom to be in charge of my own recovery plan. Physical and mental health were important to me and they allowed me to dive into that. I’m also not religious so I was much more receptive to their curriculum on the disease instead of just praying it into remission with AA. (Although they do offer AA based groups).
Other things such as the community, the food, the privacy of your own cabin, the routine and the amenities are all major perks that help you focus on your treatment.
I will say, this place is a major investment. I would be wary if your loved one is resistant to change. I feel like Enterhealth is a huge gift. I would recommend this place to anyone who is ready to embrace a better life and is ready to work for it. 💜

I want to express my deep appreciation for the outstanding work Lacy has done with my niece during her time at Sundown Ranch. From the start, it was clear that Lacy had a special ability to connect with her and create a safe, supportive environment where she could open up and grow.
The progress my niece has made under Lacy’s guidance has been remarkable. I have seen such a positive change in her attitude, her outlook, and her actions. She carries herself with more confidence, communicates more openly, and is making healthier choices in her daily life. These changes reflect not only my niece’s hard work, but also the consistent support, insight, and encouragement Lacy has provided throughout the process.

They got me ready for living a life that I forgot I had, that it was worth living.
Rhonda reminded me that you have to show up for yourself,to be disciplined enough,to care about yourself enough,to just get up and start your day by doing what you say you'll do and serve others.
Ladonna taught me how to listen and be compassionate towards EVERYONE.
That if I stop making myself the starring roll in my own life and put others before me,I can find purpose, peace and gratitude.

We were immediately checked in and the Doctor immediately went to work on him. They explained everything that was going on and treated him well. He was admitted to icu, where he spent the next five days. Dr. Miller ( who I can’t say enough good things about ) was awesome from beginning to end. Unfortunately after three months passes, my dad is having issues, because of the care he received we took him back to this hospital. Again, they had him checked in, the nursing staff treated him with great care. The Doctor on duty was not what I had experienced at the previous visit so I can’t say I was happy with her. She only came in the room once and stuck her head in once. She didn’t explain anything to us. Never knew what was happening. Later he was admitted which would be around 4 am the next morning. Dr. Miller was with my dad by 6 am. The nurses took very good care of dad. He loves Ms. Dorsey. From that 4 am admit until today when we left, every single person we came in contact with was educated, I caring and super friendly. I am happy that our hospital is making some good changes. It truly breaks my heart to read unkind words about Freeeom House!! Jesus saved my life there!! When I walked thru the doors of Freedom House, I was coming out of a 9 month stay in Stephens County jail facing a 10 year prison sentence for a DUID. I knew I had to make this work and I was SO READY FOR HELP AND SO READY TO CHANGE MY LIFE!! But even tho I knew I wanted that I was still to lost, so angry and so so bitter! My bad choices didn’t only blow my life up, they blew my kids lives up too! I struggled for 17 years with pain pills and Xanax. My mom passed away and I took a nose dive into my addiction! My spirit was completely broken! Oh my goodness…I was a complete mess!! And facing the mess I had made of my life was the hardest thing I’ve EVER done!!….
But let me tell you….
Jesus and the women He has placed here at Freedom house helped me get thru the hard parts and helped me face myself and the mess I had created of my life. And it didn’t happen overnight…it was a process that happened over 13 months!! There was so much that I didn’t understand why couldn’t we talk in the halls or bedrooms?? Why do I have to spend all this time quietly in the classroom?? Why do I have to just pray about it?? I went thru so many emotions that I didn’t even know I still had!! Cause my heart was so so hard and bitter and I didn’t even realize how very angry I was!! But slowly Jesus started to deal with all of those emotions I was going thru! He’s was chipping away at the stone that was around my heart! He showed me not to be afariad! To just believe! That I can have hope and a future! And most of all that I CAN truly love and be loved! And I learned all of this thru PRAYER by myself…just ME and JESUS!!! I owe my life to this place and to the women that run it!! So I say thank you Jesus for placing me here and thank you Freedom House for standing beside me and walking me thru the process!! It’s a beautiful dance!! I love y’all so much!! ♥️♥️
