The counselors a some staff members have been in our shoes. They know what addictions do to us 1st hand. I loved that about it , because they really can help you through it.. The recovery coach Ms. Dee is awesome! If you need treatment I would go there.

I went into this place dying from my addiction, unable to be a parent to my 4 kids. After 30 miraculously selfish days in recovery I came out and have been clean for almost 7 years now. I have been a parent to my kids and blessed by GOD every second since. THANK GOD for Serenity and its staff.

Freedom Behavioral Health took good care of our family member during March 2021 and got his dementia medication adjusted so that he now has much better quality to his life. Yes, it was difficult to not visit him during the 2 weeks he was there, but we were able to talk to the staff on a daily basis and received very detailed updates from them. The nurses were very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate, and Dr. Ryder was very effective in evaluating our family member's dementia and treating it successfully. Our family member has been successfully living in a memory care home for the past 2 months, and we all feel like we owe a big "Thank You" to Freedom Behavioral Health for helping him get to this point.

This VA Hospital is unique in that it actually does the job it was designed to do. The treatment of wounded veterans which they do absolutely excellent. the staff is always on point and helpful the only draw back here is services are limited you get seen right away but some specialties arnt staffed requiring community referrals. that's where the ball falls most referrals are completed quickly some drag on. overall the treatment of injured veterans is excellent. being in the VA system over 20 years I've seen some horror stories ie; Hampton the worst VA hospital ever. if your in the treatment area of VAMC Amarillo you're in for a pleasant surprise.

My next step absolutely changed my life for the better!!! I started the program in April and today I have 8 months and 28 days clean and sober….! I can’t find the words to explain the staff…..they were exactly what I needed when I needed and I owe my life to them! This place saved my life!!! I was going through treatment here and then I unexpectedly moved back to Dallas. I was unable to get into a clinic there for reasons unrelated to WTCR. I relapsed and I knew that I needed to get back to Amarillo and back into "my clinic" here. I did everything I could to try to get me and my dog back to Amarillo. 7 very long months passed and I was desperate and ready to give up when a ride back to Amarillo found me. Me and my dog arrived back in Amarillo around 2 am. We had no place to go and no one knew that we were coming back. I was there when they unlocked the door. I told them of the dreams I'd had about being back here inside this building and how happy I was until I woke up and it had only been a dream. I would be heartbroken and just bawling. I had come to the clinic hoping to get an appointment for intake. I never thought I would be taken in that very moment, yet I was. I thank God for these people each and every day!!! I have met and made friends with some of the most amazing people!!! I have had my hopes restored! If you are in need of help this is the best place to begin. Everyone here whether it's staff or client is happy to offer encouragement. This place saved not only my life but untold countless other lives as well.

I went to dove tree, in Lubbock, Tx broken and very lost. Mentally, emotionally, and physically lost. They helped me get back on my feet again and have helped me gain more confidence in myself. Went above & beyond. This is a great place to be if you're serious about your recovery. Utilize the options you have while you're here; counselors, psychiatry visits, cooking classes, house cleaning, fellowship and most importantly learning about the correlation between our minds and addiction and how we can improve our thinking patterns and develop a relationship with God in order to mitigate potential relapses due to emotional distress. You learn to deal with problems head-on instead of running away from them and turning to using substances as a coping mechanism, allowing you to overcome and not use your dire circumstances as excuses to drink/get high.
I had a great time here and I'm glad I got to meet everyone on my journey here.
Lots of psychology lessons and I would advise you to LISTEN.

I owe everything to this program. It was the structure and stability I needed after leaving my rehab facility. I have a little over two years sober now and I couldn't be more grateful to this program and the staff. It's not a walk in the park, you have to want sobriety and the peace that comes with that. I am thankful for Stages of Recovery, with their therapeutic groups and one-on-one counseling, we provide a program that works if you work it. I was able to conquer my addiction and learn how to live a life free of alcohol and drugs.

I can’t say enough about how Stages of Recovery is answering this Momma’s prayers. My adult addict daughter has struggled for 23 years in and out of her addiction with the added layer of mental health issues. Stages hung in there with us and never gave up helping us navigate through the challenges of getting her the help she needed to control her mental health to set her up to be ready to focus on her recovery. She couldn’t be in a better place than Stages of Recovery. Thanks so much to all the staff for what you do.

Outstanding Facility Pete has to be one if the most Amazing men I have met in Recovery and there too help if They Took insurance I would deff be there or back there instead of A State fundrd facility that is trash (Sunrise Canyon ) . But Would recomend this place to anyone even if they dont have insurance . There kind understanding and Support and Sympothize with All, Dr Gore is an Outstanding Doctor.
