Freedom Behavioral Health took good care of our family member during March 2021 and got his dementia medication adjusted so that he now has much better quality to his life. Yes, it was difficult to not visit him during the 2 weeks he was there, but we were able to talk to the staff on a daily basis and received very detailed updates from them. The nurses were very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate, and Dr. Ryder was very effective in evaluating our family member's dementia and treating it successfully. Our family member has been successfully living in a memory care home for the past 2 months, and we all feel like we owe a big "Thank You" to Freedom Behavioral Health for helping him get to this point.

This place saved my life .... After a second trip to rehab I need to get back to the basics and finish growing up... I also needed cbt, counseling and I needed to be taught the SCIENCE behind why I am an addict.... I got ALL of that at stages. I can't say enough good about this place and these people. Everyone from the administration, facilitators, counselors, house managers, and even the interns have a genuine passion for what they do. I found this place through a referral and I am so grateful for that. This is a perfect facility to discover yourself and understand the challenges and possibilities of life. The name well suites to actually what happens when you are here. Staff here are amazingly skilled and knowledgeable in treating people, they are always there for you day or night. It’s very very affordable and the best part is the aftercare service for lifetime…. And that is priceless. I had a video connect mental health appointment with Dr. Diekhoff on 4/30/2024 at 10:00am. She criticized me, and talked over me, and blamed me for my circumstances. When I told her I did not appreciate her criticizing me, she started victim blaming me. I told her she has not given me any tools to help me through my trauma, she said she has. She told me I need to prioritize myself and focus on self care. I told her I am a single parent and work full time without any family here to help so i don't know how i am suppose to do these things. She said since i was "unwilling" to do these things that she can NOT help me and she hung up our mental health video call at 10:32am. I have reported the issue to a Patient Advocate.

I was able to connect to many amazing people struggling with the same issues I was struggling with. My Next Step provides a healthy positive environment for anyone wanting to step out of addiction. I graduated from the program almost two years ago, and still receive friendship and encouragement from the amazing staff and past graduates. It seems they don’t take mental health seriously. I had a therapist recommended going to TPC to help me get back on my antidepressants. My depression had gotten so bad that I was hallucinating and having suicidal thoughts. Knowing this, it has been over two months of getting calls for “evaluations”, but I still have not talked to an actual doctor yet. Luckily, I found somewhere else.

My son came home to visit after just two months at Stages for addiction treatment and the change is truly unbelievable. I’ve been so skeptical just from past experience with my son- but this weekend blew me away. His phone rang several times a day from various people at Stages checking on him, the rapport we could hear from his end of the conversation was priceless. He feels like he’s part of a community for the first time ever. But most importantly- my son was present the whole weekend. We felt his company for the first time in years. The son I’ve mourned for showed back up. We’ve had nothing but support and encouragement from anyone we’ve had contact with at Stages. Even in a moment of uncertainty, his counselor emailed and called me on her day off. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the change we’ve seen in just two months. Some may say it’s still early- but the choices we saw our son make this weekend have me convinced he’s in it to win it finally! Can’t wait to see the future!!! Most parents of an addict can agree that looking to the future in excitement seems like a dream. Anyone researching drug treatment or substance abuse therapy should definitely condsider Stages. I truly feel like my son is in the recovery community he belongs in.

Mellissa is the first home visitor we had for my boy, she reported me to cps when I was pregnant with my second. she had absolutely no reason to at all there was no redness on him there were no bruises he’s was just having a bad day and I was trying to calm him down by putting him on my lap and giving him love, he is very loved and very well treated. I highly highly suggest when considering this place to ask for Dwan/ Eva or Megan (behavioral counselor) they were/are soooo good to us and they see how much we love our children. How we care, feed, and love our children, they guided me to sooo many resources, very respectful of your time and your schedule without making you feel bad about it! I hope they get a raise, they bust their busts to do everything for their clients and those three truley deserve it idk what I’d do without them, but I’ll never ever Have Mellissa near my children ever again and we avoid certain things due to her being there otherwise love the program ❤️

We protest about awareness for mental health but when you have someone show up for help you are critical of the person seeking help. To tell a person in your opinion you are just a failure to face consequences in the real world is beyond me. Dr Juguilon obviously has lost passion for his job because this isn’t what you tell a young man that has never acknowledged needing help and when he does this the response that he gets. Yes I am that Mama, I am going to complain every where I need to get a point across that you don’t take the delicacy of a person situation and make it seem as if he is your burden. This man has struggled since he was 12 years old and all you gave was meaningless jabber. He has medicals records to back up his diagnoses so if you didn’t have that, your opinions should not have a play in this conversation. I’m really upset because I tell him people care and all you have to do is open yourself. First time meeting someone as an adult and this is what he gets. Who tells someone well you did prison with flying colors? Excuse me!!! How do you know it was flying colors???? Did you ever stop to ask about the tragic experience of prison? Find groups that care, and don’t be afraid to walk away, you deserve to be treated like anyone else, don’t ever think you have to take less than, there are still people in the profession that cares but skip this man with judgmental hateful rants of opinion!!!!!

The name alone Turning Point. A specific, significant moment when something begins to change. Something that happens in the course of our life which shifts our thinking and opens our eyes to new horizons. Amen. A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO. Marie, awesomeness, looking out for peoples dietary needs to keep us healthy. Definitely one of many important jobs here. Alesia, Ed, Justin, and Rose (make it fun lol). I wish I could mention all your names here. My memory is not as good as it use to be (All that time in Oakland California and Berkeley California). Each and everyone of the players on this team is ALL STAR in this chapter in the Great Book of my life, what a show. I am not going to sugar coat this. Rules and procedure are there for you to succeed in your journey to recovery. You will have to work to achieve what you want from this place. They will provide the tools, resources and a exit plan for aftercare. It will be up to you to make it happen. Choosing to be SET FREE from your addictions or mental health issues.
