As a former student at Resolution Ranch Academy I honestly can't say enough good things about this place, I was sent here early December 2023 by my parents to be given a chance to turn my life around/to abandon the negative lifestyle that I was living. Before attending the ranch I was on a daily basis using drugs, skipping school, and disregarding authority all together. I won't lie and say this place was easy or that all my problems in life are gone because of my time at the ranch, but I will say if you are truly able to help your kid understand that change needs to happen and that the way he is living currently isn't working and that this place isn't a punishment, you can expect positive change. The staff there do truly care and want to see the best for you many of whom I still keep in contact with after graduating recently January of this year. The therapists there are also really empathetic most especially the one who I was assigned with, Mr. Clayton. He would consistently go out of his way to check in with his other students not because he was required to but because he cared, I can remember the countless times where it would be hours past his shift and he would still be there talking and processing with me to help me deal with my emotions and problems that I was struggling with. Thanks to the ranch I was able to excel at school and was able to turn my thoughts of wanting to dropout into now pursuing my education even further. The teachers there are super supportive and are willing to help you any chance they can and because of this I was able to go into the ranch mid way through my sophomore year of high school and come out a year later a high school graduate. As I mentioned before, yes this place can be difficult however anything worth doing WILL take time and on top of that your effort into whatever it is you are working on. If you choose to go in with a bad mindset chances are not much will change, but if you truly dedicate yourself to change I can promise you that you will be rewarded for your hard work. Lastly, I'd like to thank the ranch once again for all that they have done and the opportunities that they provided for me to be able to succeed in life in a way that I was unsure on how to do before.

Sending our son to Resolution Ranch was a tough decision, but it ended up being the best one we could have made. Struggling with behavioral issues, we felt lost. Resolution Ranch's compassionate staff provided exceptional, individualized care including excellent therapy.The therapists are skilled, family therapy was invaluable, the teachers are invested and the supportive community fostered growth in our son. Our child returned home transformed, with improved self-awareness and coping skills. My wife and I are grateful for the program here at The Orchard on the Brazos. The team there has shown that a program uniquely designed to treat addiction while maintaining dignity is the best way to achieve and maintain sobriety. Additionally, their family programs are second to none. We attended a weekend event that was incredibly helpful to us. And, my wife and I have been attending their weekly family zoom meeting for 16 months. Not coincidentally, our loved one is 16 months sober. This meeting, run by Fallon has been instrumental in our own recovery. Fallon provides a very safe space to discuss various topics pertinent to family recover. Unfortunately, we have had two experiences with the Orchard with two of our adult children. I wrote unfortunately, because no one should have to experience their children battling addiction. We had previous experience at another organization that was fruitless. This was a whole new version.
The professionals at the Orchard care not only for the residents, but also provide forums for the family members as well. It is a welcoming caring environment, where family participation is encouraged, because we all need healing in some respects.
For those who are just about at their wits end, there is hope. Let me also say this is not a miracle place, our kids have work that they need to do. As a Dad, I would encourage you to fully check out the facilities, programs and staff. We have been very blessed with our experiences.

The people at The Orchard truly care about their residents. They also care about the recovery of family members of the addict. If I could give a 1 star I would. The communication is awful between them. There were major concerns, things happening (threats, Harassment) and refused to address the concerns. The therapist called and stated that she could not do anything since she was put in the middle between client and supervisor conflict. Once the Therapist requested a meeting, The supervisor at the Adolescent Unit decided to do a discharge. The supervisor Traci, Targets them when they start to express high concerns about treatment. For instance when a female patient makes inappropriate/ advancements and comments to male individuals. At discharge, they did not request ID to identify and released the minor. They lost belongings. They prescribed medication and changed medication and dosages within days, not allowing the individual's body to adapt to new medication. Spoke to the head CEO and even though there were alarming concerns it was best advised to do a release. Terrible experience for a new individual seeking treatment for the 1st time.

Similar to another review I saw on here, I was able to get sober thanks to the help provided by another treatment facility. At the end of the day, sobriety is up to you if you truly want it. However, what’s really crucial are those first 30 days and getting the right tools and guidance.
This place offers no tools and overlooks AA. It’s basically a 30-day vacation where the staff is only there for the paycheck. Thanks to a rehab in Austin, I was able to learn crucial tools, get involved in AA, and now my life is on a much better path. I wish I had gone there sooner instead of coming here.
Also, beware of some of the staff members—especially a gentleman named Anthony—who is a creep and will flirt with the young clients. Just keep your head on a swivel at this place and make sure to stay away from Anthony.

My recent experience with Cenikor-Austin as a medical detox and residential rehabilitation facility was in fact only a begining, but in the best possible sense. Go here if you are in need of help, empathy, compassion, and care. My experience left me feeling whole and human. Real people who understand real problems and have a real solution. To be completely honest it was my very first stop in my journey to becoming a whole person. I had no previously experience, didn't know what to expect, and was afraid. The staff and medical team never sugar coated things for me;these people have literally been in your shoes. I was treated with dignity and respect but they do have rules, set boundaries, teach you skills to cope with your vices and sometimes call you out when you can't be honest with yourself. When you want help, look no further. They do respect your spiritual beliefs and accept you regardless of what those are. They train you on the 12-step principles of our disease called addiction, but do not shove those ideas down your throat. Allowing me to heal, at my pace was the greatest gift anyone has given me in a very long time. If you are looking for a cure, good luck. Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. What an incredible, amazing, wonderful, beautiful, awesome place and community this place is! I was searching for a PHP/IOP/Sober living facility for weeks to help me continue on my path of recovery and as soon as I made my first phone call and spoke to Jacob I knew it my heart I had finally found the perfect spot for me. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful and supportive, the group sessions along with my peers helped me fully understand this disease and without them I’m not sure if I would’ve made it. My appreciation and gratitude for this program are through the roof and I would HIGHLY suggest anyone who needs help with addiction and mental health and staying sober to contact this place. I contacted Positive Recovery, searching for an IOP program. Although they didn’t accept my insurance, they treated me as if I were a client. They were eager to help, warm, and compassionate. So thankful for my Santa Maria Family. My sister was her about 3 times in 2 years. Every time we tried to get her admit, we didn’t follow protocol and the staff always assisted us and she was always approved! The staff looked out for my sister and niece, it takes a village and thank god for each and every staff member here! From the counselors to the security. Instill updated them on my sister because I know they care for her.
I never got to visit inside so no comment but i witnessed my sister get her own place, look healthier by the day and get employment. She a break and time to recover.

[EDIT/UPDATE] Well, it’s been 5 years since I posted the brief review seen above, and I feel like both this clinic AND me deserve something of an update.
I am still a patient of the clinic’s, albeit a patient whose chaotic and life-threatening issues with opiate addiction thankfully have been thoroughly tamed. While Google Reviews isn’t the appropriate venue to detail the grittier personal details encompassed within an individual case of opiate addiction disorder, I will share without hesitation the undeniable reality that without the service of professionally compassionate treatment of the addiction nightmare which first brought me to their doorstep, I would not be alive and able to compose the review you’re now reading.
How very happy I AM here today, able to talk about this treatment and the improvements to and gains made in my life, none of which would have been remotely possible without the service provided by this clinic. Relationships shattered by the damage wrought by addiction have been repaired. My apartment becomes a nicer and more enjoyable place to call home with each passing year as I replace belongings that I sold or traded for drugs in the past and add new ones I never had the chance to enjoy “back then.”
It’s easier to look in the mirror now that I put on new, clean clothes that
I like to wear, instead of rummaging through piles of tattered threads, searching for the least dirty garments I first got from donation bins and the like. My self-esteem grows each passing day. I no longer avert my eyes from those of the people I encounter.
I no longer find myself having to constantly look over my proverbial shoulder, worried that the people I know will steal my belongings at the first opportunity they see to do so. I no longer find myself incarcerated, wondering what lunkheaded thing I did to land myself there while I was, no doubt, blacked-out thanks to some atrociously dangerous combination of opiates, benzodiazepines, and anything else I might have imbibed while barking at the moon. Good grief, am I ever glad that those days seem finally to be behind me.
One more killer perk which I suspect just might appeal to someone out there: I haven’t been dope-sick—or, I suppose I ought to say “in withdrawal”—not even once since the first day I began treatment.
Not.
Even.
Once.
So, if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, do yourself a gigantic, merciful favor by picking up the phone and giving these fine folks a ringy-dingy-ding. You could literally change your life today. Never have I regretted my decision to do so.

When we arrived the front desk lady did great. The staff was, “alright” it seems they only care about the job, and not the people at all. Which in the medical field you have to care about both. You can view our arrival time and our discharge time on the first page. They had to redo labs again and the doctor never came to speak on either results. All he (MD Michael McLaren) did was go in to talk to my husband about symptoms and then we never saw him again. He actually left the hospital without us seeing him and they tried discharging us without speaking to us about ANYTHING! The lady doctor (didn’t get name, but she’s a white lady) was in his place by the time they wanted us to leave.
I asked for a CT scan, but she said she didn’t think it’d do anything. Which if CT scans don’t do anything why do you guys provide them then? You don’t need extreme bleeding to perform a CT scan. I do have a recording of her saying so btw. The medicine they, “prescribed” was NOT prescribed and only listed. No one asked for a pharmacy or anything. They did not care to help us and failed to put us at ease. We literally thought my husband was going to die soon this month or next month because we had no idea if he had a blockage and they refused a CT scan. We stayed there for HOURS … I am extremely disappointed with the service here. WHY are the staff INCLUDING the doctors incompetent here?? There was ONLY 3 people including my husband in the waiting room…
Methodist had a FULL LOBBY and they did amazing considering the amount of people and slightly low staff they had.. they had COMPASSION something NC Baptist did NOT have.
You’d think Methodist would be the one receiving this 1 star review, but no.. they’re getting 5 stars bc even though the heavy traffic of patients was present the compassion and care for their patients didn’t dissipate.
So if you love robotic people who don’t keep track of their patients go here!

I can’t speak for all departments but so far I’ve had a good experience with the dental department and primary care. Dr Ali is outstanding and you can tell he actually cares about veterans. He made it a point to call me directly, outside of normal business hours to make sure I was okay after a series of events. Thankful that so far I have received good care.

I've been a client at Texas Clinic for almost two years. While the majority of my experiences with the staff have been positive and helpful with my best interest as the focus of our attention, the morning of Oct. 17, 2025, unfortunately gave me a glimpse into the face of corruption and deciet that are at the heart of the worlds problem. Jose, is an employee at the clinic though his title or function is unknown, he facilitates the morning ritual of dosing by standing around keeping tabs on the routine, making sure things are conducted in occordance with policy and customs. On the morning I have mentioned, I was charging a power bank after I had dosed,minding my own business not bothering anyone except Jose. Not that I was doing anything to provoke or irritate him intentionally, however he came up to me and asked," how much longer do you have to charge your phone?" I looked at him and replied one more dot. Then I asked Why. He then replied that the big boss had told him to come tell me something. A blatent and deliberate lie, spoken out of fear that he may loose his false sense of control over the situation if he was honest and said that he personally had a problem with me being there doing what I was doing. At which time I confronted him and told him he was lieing, and that unless he could be honest with me not to speak to me at all. He then rushed outside to fetch his trusted security officer and hyped the situation up by stating another lie. He said I was refusing to leave. I laughed and informed the office that I had no problem going, my problem was with the fact that I had caught him lieing to benefit his desire. The officer told me that he represented the business and I had to listen to him. I then objected on the bases that dishonesty in business nullifys my obligations as well as any authority the lier may or may not have. I told Jose, as I was walking away not to speak with me if he couldn't help but lie. His reply was," I don't have to tell you the truth." Now that statement has me questioning everything I thought I felt about the clinic. My reasoning is that if the clinic allows a staff to tell a patient that and do nothing, what does that say for the management? So just know that if you are considering Tx Clinic, remember that Jose, is a control freak that is threatened by anyone that has the mind enough to challenge the narrative he makes up on the fly. I am waiting now to see if they will try to kick me out of the program for this post. If they do, I will surely let you know to keep those considering the program safe from future retaliation if any issues arise after your enrollment. I know of several others that Jose, has singled out and targeted for harassment. So just know that sometimes, often all the time, the people that work at these places often have issues that require the inner will to correct the error of their ways yet because they feel in authority, this change seldom arrives, and they compound the problem by mixing from one patient to another telling lie upon lie. Maybe 3I Atlas can help us all. I have included an image taken from the monitoring system on Mars as it traveled pass the planet. It is a most enlightened image, one no resistance can deny. Clearly the game has changed. Truth is both crucial and demanded from this day onward. Trust there are eyes and ears monitoring everything and just maybe we shall have to answer for simple deciet when spoken to benefit the one telling it. The most amazing staff, people who care and doctors that care. My number one concern was the judgment being only 22…but there was no judgment from anyone, when I walked in they made me feel like family! This clinic genuinely just want to see you survive and give you tools to live a better life. I could not recommend this place more….its all government funded and if you can’t get it covered because you have insurance self pay is only 100$ a week. When other places wanted to charge me almost 600$ a week…these people save lives!

The dosing nurses Taylor, Olivia, Lexi & Ruth are all both professional & personable, kind & caring, nice & helpful too! Nancy the "Boss" who runs everything at the front desk has the nicest and most welcoming smile ever, not to mention the most genuine and thoughtful person, truly! And now my counselor , Mr. Richard, he keeps me in line & focused on my treatment plan, thank goodness because even though I'm scatterbrained he is on point! I can't forget to mention Jose, who really is awesome, just don't mess with him when he's drinking his coffee, lol, just kidding. But I'm serious about the entire crew or should I say family because that's what they've become to me, my Texas Clinic family! Thanks guys for all you do!

We felt both times that their treatment and care for the teens was really great and the information shared in family was always helpful. Monday morning, I had to go the the VA clinic in Tomball for blood work. For Thanksgiving week, it was busy. I got there early and was soon called back. The young black lady had her work cut out for her. They appeared to be very short staffed, but she was taking care of business. As soon as I walked through the door she handed me a cup and directed me to the bathroom. She had at least two, maybe three or more others already waiting to have their blood work done. She was going from partition to partition getting people help. I was in and out of there in minutes. She was also in a very good mood. It could have been overwhelming, but she didn't seem to mind. I admire the work ethic and the ability to work under tremendous pressure. I hope that she knows that she is appreciated. I tried to let her know. We need more people like her. True warrior.

I know not everyone’s experience is the same. But I am grateful for mine.
As a disabled US Army Veteran, I can honestly say that the staff at the Tomball VA CBOC have treated me with the highest level of care and compassion. Every single person I have encountered, whether it’s the front desk, the nurses, doctors, therapists, orthopedics team, optometrists, phlebotomists, or the suicide prevention team, has served me incredibly.
Yes, I share that last team openly, because it saved my life. The Suicide Prevention team at Tomball is available Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm. You can walk into the Tomball VA CBOC and they will listen, not just to reply, but to truly understand. They provide care, aftercare, follow-up, and most importantly, they treat you like a human being, with dignity, respect, and compassion.
I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for me. Between them and the CAMS Team in Houston, they saved my life.
