I love this place. I have been to treatment 3 times, worked in treatment twice, and was surrounded by the “treatment world” so to speak down in South Florida. There is NOTHING like this program anywhere I have seen. The quality of care you receive here is nothing to compare to all other places I’ve experienced. The one to one time is truly amazing(and yes for those who know, you DO get the time with the counselor you’re supposed to, and more even if you need it), the intimacy of the groups is incredible and the staff is serious when they say they base treatment on ones individual needs. And it’s nothing flashy, nothing like other places that seem all about the money. These are people in recovery who CARE. Who KNOW. Who check on you when you aren’t being yourself and who will meet you where you are at, but really tho. They keep the doors open for alumni twice a week even! They are not just talking the talk, they are walking the walk. They are setting the standard high here in Amarillo of what treatment should look like. I’ve grown more here than I ever have in years in a short 4-ish months and they still are teaching me more about myself every day. Thank you My Next Step for giving me my life again. Being home is hard but it really is possible to stay clean where you got dirty when you have the right path to be on. Love you guys.

This place was a real godsend. They really helped out my family. My mother-in-law was in a real bad place before. Freedom Behavioral Health took good care of our family member during March 2021 and got his dementia medication adjusted so that he now has much better quality to his life. Yes, it was difficult to not visit him during the 2 weeks he was there, but we were able to talk to the staff on a daily basis and received very detailed updates from them. The nurses were very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate, and Dr. Ryder was very effective in evaluating our family member's dementia and treating it successfully. Our family member has been successfully living in a memory care home for the past 2 months, and we all feel like we owe a big "Thank You" to Freedom Behavioral Health for helping him get to this point.

I was a patient here for a week earlier this year, and my stay was wonderful. The nurses were attentive, and understanding, and Dr. Bankes listened to me without judgement. She really helped me to get on a better path in my life and to get my meds all straightened out! The social workers are amazing and helped connect me to resources and free counseling once I left! The food was great, and there's plenty of snacks! I 100% recommend this clinic for all of your mental health needs! The only thing I have to complain about is that the telehealth doctor on the weekends was rude towards me and seemed to brush off my needs. He put me on a medication that I had a bad reaction to and he didn't seemed concerned when I told him and asked to be taken off of it. Everything else is great though!

I mailed a package to this center to my bf who was there, but he left when there was a covid outbreak, but before he left he asked the director (Christopher Prince) to return the package to sender when it arrived since he had to leave before getting sick. He was promised (in writing) that he would return the package as soon as it arrived.
The package was delivered within a day or two of this on 9/3/2024 according to the tracking #. Saturday 9/21/24 after waiting for weeks for the package to be returned I messaged Mr.Prince asking him if he got the package & if he returned it. He said he had. Today is the 25th, I still have not received the package so I messaged Mr.Prince again to follow up. He said HE JUST MAILED IT BACK TODAY, after also saying it had already been mailed days earlier- but he couldn’t account for why he even accepted the package for a resident who was no longer there when he was asked to return it to sender before it even arrived (although admitted it was wrong!). He couldn’t provide me with a screenshot of a receipt or a tracking number for the package he said he’s mailed back twice now.
THEN- he left himself a 5 star review on his own place of business- (which is a conflict of interest).
This place is a dump.
