Azle, TX | Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas Fort Worth Men’s Rehab Center was established in 2008 and is located on a 7.5-acre campus just outside Fort Worth, Texas, (in Azle). Most of the staff leadership are themselves graduates of the program. Men receive room and board, group and individual biblical counseling, parenting classes, spiritual support, | Treatments Programs | @GDM Doesn't God do that everywhere? I understand you and many others had, do and will have life changing spiritual experiences. Kudos. But my point is it's not the place, building or location, no offense, but not even so the staff. I sat that because the staff can only point the way and the process which is the same for all Christians. The order doesn't matter as much as like you said a truly sincere request and the effort without reservation....I know God absolutely can and does heal people from addiction in the blink of an eye a true miracle for some very few some, pray one time and poof instant transformation....but that is a slippery slope that in my experience most will fall right back into a sinful life. Because they haven't done the actions of truly first admitting their sins to those they have sinned against and second atone for the sins .....Too many people just skip right over this and it's crucial a must do to the best of our ability make right as best we our wrongs, pay back, fix, replace...whatever words you want to use, but a physical action with tangible evidence. As best we can to the best of our ability no matter what the other person or business says ...it took me years to learn this lesson....I'd be beat down and come back like the prodigal son.... completely avoid those I knew either wouldn't forgive me or the price of the debt was more than I was willing pay BACK. Emphasis on back because I had stolen, broken or taking or inquired damage to the other already I set the price of correcting my sins not them, understand? So there's that. Then one must "pick up their cross" and "daily" increase and strengthen faith and obedience to God by following Christ very clear and direct teachings....all right there in The Lord's Prayer. Problem is lots of people just want to pray the prayer, loudly and proudly shout they're belief in Jesus and use "no works will get ya into heaven".....and how dare anyone who doesn't forgive me like Jesus did and y'all are going to hell....I personally have only met one person at 55 years old numerous treatment centers of all types, that that persons one prayer brought a miraculous transformation and they were completely healed never to use drugs or commit seriously bad sins again....every other person I've met and that's in the hundreds for sure has been healed, recovered or transformed until they put the effort into the actions and sincerely beyond the shadow of a doubt admit to themselves and God that their self will and strength without Christ will only lead to sin every time all the time. I know we say to ourselves why does that person seem to get away with everything and have more things and money and easier life than us....well because they are going to pay the ultimate price with their soul in the end of them....these days even publicly stating they made that deal with the devil....so we must sincerely admit to ourselves our sins because only us and God truly know but there must be that third party and speaking your sins out loud....just praying in your head without that witness or the action of atonement your not clean enough to receive the Holy Spirit....and yes I get it's our nature to sin and we will never be as innocent as The Lamb of God.....however if you want to put your soul on the line and put all your chips betting well since no works get ya a ticket.....and you definitely believe in Jesus and release yourself from any responsibility or accountability well I hope your correct....but I guess we'll see....you very well may be....but how's your life been working out in the meantime? If your living in the Kingdom of Heaven here now on earth like Jesus says it is? Or is your life still a train wreck and you still keep trying to get to God your way? Picking and choosing what Bible verses you, if you were God, would apply to you....The devil made me do it and I believe in Jesus and my sins are covered and no works will get me in.....mmmhhhmmm that never worked for me or anyone save that one man I've ever met....what I have experienced myself and see daily all around

All methadone clinics are NOT the same. I’ve been taking methadone for a long time now; and have been in multiple clinics. If you are wondering if you should try it; my advice to you : ABSOLUTELY. Methadone has saved my life and made it possible for me to actually keep a job, pay my bills and have much healthier relationships.
The one thing I would advise you on is: going to the RIGHT clinic is crucial. You don’t just “dose” at the clinics - there is a counseling component that comes with it ; and many new patients severely underestimate this side to it. And I believe that happens because many of the counselors are mediocre at best. I think they start out with good intentions; and many of them just become burned out. Addicts are a high maintenance group to say the least lol; combine that with huge workloads and long hours ; and you get energy-drained and apathetic counselors. Over my 5 years in treatment I have only found a handful of counselors that rise above it all ; and have contributed immensely to my sustained sobriety . At this McCart clinic I have been blessed with a patient , compassionate and wise counselor that has literally helped me in every aspect of my new life. We don’t just talk about things concerning treatment ; instead he helps me reconcile my sobriety with the new life that being clean has afforded me. I can not tell you how much this has helped me along the way ; he understands that getting sober is important; but that’s just STEP ONE in rebuilding my life (I had always thought that just being sober would fix my life completely- when it didn’t work that way; I would use that disappointment as a relapse tool) my counselor’s name is AC. I have no idea if you can request counselors when you start treatment; but if you can ( or if by luck he is assigned to you) I am here to tell you that your recovery will go smoother and your chance of success will be higher if you have a system of support that can offer you wisdom- or just sometimes help you to see a silver lining in events that you didn’t recognize-
Counseling is only one hour a month - but it’s honestly my most productive hour in that 30 day cycle. If you’re reading this - you CAN do this. Good luck and God bless

I came back to MedMark after 3 years not knowing what to expect, I got AC as a councilor and he has been very helpful and inspirational to my recovery,he really cares about his clients and what he is doing, really goes out of his way to get thing's done and I wouldn't have made it this far without his going above and beyond what is expected.

I had an amazing experience with NP Ubabuco. I recently moved from Florida and attended an IOP program under the care of a psychiatrist. I didn’t agree with prior diagnoses and we discussed why I felt that way and NP Unabuco was able to give his input on what possibly led to those diagnoses. Finding out about the RRC has dramatically changed my life for the better; and I’m profoundly grateful. Prior to going there -I had lost my job and was about to be added to the ranks of the newly homeless (Depending on how you define “ homeless” in some people’s eyes, I would’ve already been there. I was staying on the floor of a gym at a church where I would clean every night
in exchange for sleeping there. I was too stubborn to go to a homeless shelter, because the one thing I had left in my life that I had no intention of leaving was my cat. Me and Cleo have been together a long time- she’s my family.
Fast forward almost a year. I have my own car; my own apartment (cat friendly! ) I make a little income online but also searching for a job (it’s hard to maintain a job if you can’t wash your clothes or have a place to stay) RRC didn’t do EVERYTHING for me - But I can honestly say I would not be where I’m at now without them. And although it’s a government agency, I have not met a bad employee from there- My caseworker, Amanda Jones; has went out of her way numerous times to help me-These people care about their clients and they do whatever they can to help them- If you are a veteran and you need help, they should be the first people you call. You won’t regret it.
I can not thank them enough for what they have done for me..
Thank you RRC and Especially AMANDA!!

This also extends to the nurses. They celebrated my victories with me and always treated me with kindness.

Takes forever just to get registered then if you can’t do what they ask (yes program) somehow that makes the child less ill. I feel like they do NOT care what that child is doing and would rather bang their head on a wall than listen to you. The nurse putting me into the computer with back to me in ER made the comment drug seeker and I lost it.Made me forget my pain for a moment coming back at her.NO MORE HARRIS I PRAY.This time as sick as I was I had a friend take me to Baylor because I grew in my career there ,walked in the door in 1971 21 yrs old and retired in 2014 .Thank You all for walking GOD'S path and putting me at ease and Showing kindness, caring,a smile and listening is sooo important.I realize at Harris my shoulder was not life or death BUT omg I was still a human in pain and though you are all at HARRIS great nurses BUT the things YOU think are apparently small LIKE a smile, kindness, caring, warm blanket call bell, checking on your patient WOW nursing 101 YOU DO NOT HAVE .Your Harris ER housekeeper brought me a blanket and showed me more caring than you.
