As annoying as getting sober can be I gave SARC an opportunity and it worked out for the best. I trusted the staff and the process and I did feel different after 40 days. When I got out I realized that being there and being annoyed by tons of little things was exactly what life would be like on the outside. Sadly, Windmill now is allowing previous employees to post reviews. This troubles me. My initial review was heartfelt and honest. It upsets me that Windmill is doing this. Windmill used to be better than this. Perhaps it has to do with the new ownership.

I had the most amazing experience of my life! WWR saved my life in many ways. I tackled multiple addictions and took advantage of every service they offer (which there are many!). The counselors and recovery advocates are incredible. While I now have the tools to go back to the real world, I will miss this place in my soul. I would recommend WWR to anyone needing to face addiction or any other mental challenge.

This serene atmosphere grows and shines in the people living there and the ones there providing us support through their smiles and patient caring for each other. I was able to learn again what it felt like to be human, sane, and a part of something. By God’s grace and Britanny’s help my son is doing so much better. Words could never express my appreciation for the team at La Hacienda. The buildings are older than I expected, but the love and treatment there is state of the art. The time spent there will put you or your love one on the right track to the life you are seeking. The family program is not easy, but plays a huge role in success. The family support during and after is amazing. It is like an extended family reunion of support each week, where joys are celebrated and those experiencing set backs are supported. Our family will always appreciate and be thankful for La Ha.

This treatment center was amazing. The counselors and aftercare coordinators where very helpful in my recovery journey. A good environment to reset and learn what a healthy recovery will be. Food was good and lodging was comfortable. Would highly recommend. For anyone considering this you will not have your phone and your communication with outside people will be limited until closer to your discharge from the program. Don't let this discourage you. It is worth it.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family!

Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much.
Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone.

I really want to give yall the best review because yall got me the help I needed. But every couple months I’m forced into medication withdrawal because my case manager Mariah will not answer my calls to schedule my doctor appointments to get my meds. I call her and leave voice messages she never gets back to me and I’m not able to schedule with the doctor unless I go through her. Because of this I’m experiencing a lot of emotional distress and medication withdrawal. I’m currently in medication withdrawal because I tried to call her 3 times last week and once this week and left a voice mail every time and she still has not gotten back to me and because of this I do not have access to medication that I need. Please do better. My previous case manager Amber Ray was amazing she even gave me her personal number to ensure that never happened to me but Mariah doesn’t seem to care about her patients or take her job very seriously and it’s effecting her patients.

I admitted my mom for depression and addiction, and this place not only gave her the tools she needed to rebuild her life, but also helped her work through deep-rooted trauma. My recent experience with Cenikor-Austin as a medical detox and residential rehabilitation facility was in fact only a begining, but in the best possible sense. Go here if you are in need of help, empathy, compassion, and care. My experience left me feeling whole and human. Real people who understand real problems and have a real solution. To be completely honest it was my very first stop in my journey to becoming a whole person. I had no previously experience, didn't know what to expect, and was afraid. The staff and medical team never sugar coated things for me;these people have literally been in your shoes. I was treated with dignity and respect but they do have rules, set boundaries, teach you skills to cope with your vices and sometimes call you out when you can't be honest with yourself. When you want help, look no further. They do respect your spiritual beliefs and accept you regardless of what those are. They train you on the 12-step principles of our disease called addiction, but do not shove those ideas down your throat. Allowing me to heal, at my pace was the greatest gift anyone has given me in a very long time. If you are looking for a cure, good luck. Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. Alpha BH is such a good resource for adult men, as well as adolescent boys and girls who struggle with Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health. I have personally sent around 5 men here, and all have reported back positive feedback about the program, and all say the staff there truly care. Plus, they’re located deep in the heart of Austin!
