It would serve more veterans if when there was an appointment to building 163, that there be the automatic question- Is this your first visit? If the answer is yes, there should be an automatic question- Would you like a map of the campus leading to building 163?

I was released from Cedar Crest in 2007 at age 17. Yeah, it's been a while. But while I was there, it was the first place I'd been to that truly helped me when I'd been to a lot of other places before Cedar Crest. The staff were caring and yeah a little rough around the edges and stern when the had to be but no staff member was abusive while I was there. I wasn't the easy going one either. I caused a lot of problems since I didn't know how to cope with my trauma. I'm a little ashamed to publicly admit that but it is what it is and at the time, it made me feel like I was in control of me. I fought against it for a long time at first. Two or three years honestly. I didn't want the therapy. I didn't want to let go of the trauma because it's all I knew. But a little after I turned 15 I started working the program and really wanting to be better, it was like my entire world shifted. I changed for the better. A lot of what I was taught and the experiences I made with the staff who were working there has stuck with me even now. I don't know what Cedar Crest is like anymore since I'm sure the staff aren't the same but I know being sent to Cedar Crest was the best decision made for me since it helped me become who I am today.

I was a patient here twice the most recent being 3/2021-9/2021. I was sent because I ran out of options. I didn’t want to listen to anyone and I thought I knew what was best for me. I hated the idea of having to go. At first, I thought it was the worst place ever. Then I decided to open up and really work the program. It is a very therapeutic place. Yes there’s drama and there’s some issues with staff but as long as you do what you’re supposed to do it’s a great place to get help. I really enjoyed my stay at Christian farms. I was there for 35 days. I’m now almost 5 months sober and counting. They are a little strict but I do see why. Their policies are in place for a reason and it worked! Very grateful. I do think the clients should be able to sit in the sun. I was a client back in 2015 at Christian Farms. My experience there was life changing and life transforming. I've used methaphine hardcore for 18 years. I've found the staff to be friendly but firm. The consular I had the feeling that they geniually cared, and it was more then just a job to them they really wanted to help. The environment there was clean, friendly, firm, not strict, & extremely fair. I found Christian farms to be so pleasent and informative to me that I requested to stay an additional 30 days from my original release date. Georgetown, TX | The Arbor Behavioral Healthcare in the Austin, Texas, area has residential substance abuse treatment programs for men and women over the age of 18. There is a treatment program specifically for young adults as well. They have intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient (OP), and aftercare programs available to help individuals transition from re | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I’ve been to treatment centers all over the country, and I can honestly say there was something different about The Arbor. From the moment I arrived, the level of care, accountability, and genuine support was unlike anything I had experienced before.
The staff doesn’t just treat addiction. They care deeply about the individual person sitting in front of them. Every member of my care team took the time to understand me, challenge me, support me, and walk with me through the process of rebuilding my life. There’s an ethos at The Arbor that’s hard to describe unless you’ve experienced it yourself. It’s a balance of accountability and compassion that changed me completely.
What stood out most to me was how holistic the program is. They truly focus on healing the whole person emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically, socially, and environmentally. I’ve been through many different types of treatment, but this was the first place where I learned how to actually live in recovery, not just survive sobriety.
Their continuum of care, from treatment to aftercare to sober living, gave me the structure and support I needed to build a real foundation. I came to The Arbor desperate, exhausted, and dying. Today, I am a woman in recovery who is genuinely proud of who she is and committed to giving back what was given to me there.
I treasure my experience at The Arbor and am deeply grateful to be part of their alumni community. I truly could not recommend a treatment center more highly.

Me and my team of interventionists and treatment professionals at Whitman Recovery Service have worked with many treatment programs over the years, and The Arbor Behavioral Healthcare continues to be one of my most trusted resources. A major reason for that is Tiffany Tidwell. I often reach out while navigating very difficult and complicated situations, trying to help clients and families gain access to the highest level of care when it is urgently needed. Tiffany consistently handles these challenges with tact, professionalism, and remarkable skill.
She has an exceptional ability to meet families where they are emotionally, provide calm and clear direction, and help all of us navigate the next right steps during some of the most critical moments of a person’s life. Her leadership, knowledge, passion, empathy, and genuine concern for others are evident in every interaction. Most importantly, her integrity makes her someone I trust without hesitation.
I have referred countless clients and loved ones to the Arbor through the years, and they have consistently had life-changing healing experiences. The program itself is outstanding, and the care, support, and professionalism of the entire team set them apart. Tiffany and the Arbor will always remain one of my first calls when someone needs real help, hope, and a chance at lasting recovery. I would trust them with my own care or with the care of my family members if it were ever needed.

I am writing this review with one-year sober thanks to the staff at The Arbor. Ms. Tiffany at admissions never gave up on me when it comes to getting me back into treatment when my life was going the wrong way. The admissions team to the family coordinators all the way to the counseling staff & recovery- care techs, there is so much compassion & love for the people that come in there. I owe a lot of my success in my recovery to The Arbor. I am still in their after-care with living in their sober living & had completed their IOP program as well. I will always recommend The Arbor to anyone that struggles with addiction. This is the best place to reset & put the healthy things back in order in your life. I thank The Arbor staff for all that you have done for me. The resilience & unrelenting love that was shown towards me taught me that I am worth it & that I deserve a healthy life.
**Update**—I am writing this at 2 years & 2 months sober. Throughout my journey in recovery, I completed 18months of sober living at the Hyde Park men’s house. I understood the importance of being apart of a community, with a sense of belonging, & an opportunity to continue helping the new roommate moving into the house. After completing IOP, I continued to stay plugged in to our Arbor Alumni Group that meets every Wednesday night at 7:30pm. What this looked like, was getting a service commitment & staying as involved with the community around me.
All that to say, a sense of belonging, consistency, a schedule that I stuck to & making sure I ran my “bright” ideas towards three mentors at least because I am impulsive.
I know have been living in my own apartment in my own name, embracing solitude & staying at the heart of being of service to my fellow brothers. Knowing that “I am connected to others”, “I matter in the lives of others”, & “I have something to give.”
I embraced a new job, stayed consistent to my schedule, attended the alumni meeting as a home group & stayed involved in the Drug Addicts Anonymous fellowship.
I understand that I no longer need to fix my past & begin participating in the present.
I thank the Arbor staff, in all the areas of long-term after care & also the ones that work in residential treatment. I allowed others to help me & genuinely took a posture of humble-willingness.
Shout out to my sponsor Patrick Dixon, grand-sponsor Josh Snell, Nick Erngstrom, John Schwartz, Victoriano Trevino, and Hamza Naeem.
There is hope, keep moving forward, there is so much life in front of you.
Blessings, Blaise
