This place has hand to God saved my life! My counselor Mrs.Amy was the first person in 20 years of battling addiction that made me feel like a person again. She made me realize i mattered and my life was worth saving. Between her the medication and continued counseling I am proud to say after 20 years I’m finally clean and sober for 120 days and counting!!!!

I can’t thank this program enough for everything they did for my daughter. When she first arrived, she was scared, emotional, and unsure of what to expect. As a parent, that was hard to watch. But over time, I saw such a beautiful transformation. She grew to genuinely love the staff, her peers, and the program itself. She always talked about the fun activities, the friendships she made, and how supported she felt every day. It meant so much to know she was in an environment where she felt safe, cared for, and encouraged to grow. The staff treated her with kindness, patience, and compassion, and those are things that I will never forget. By the time it was time for her to leave, she wasn’t ready to go. She had built such strong bonds with the staff and the other kids that saying goodbye was emotional for everyone. Seeing how much she had grown and how much this place had come to mean to her speaks volumes about the incredible people who work here. Of course, no place is perfect. We had one small hiccup during our time here, but it was nothing major and it never took away from the wonderful care my daughter received. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this program to other families. My daughter made lifelong memories, formed meaningful friendships, and experienced love and support from people who truly cared about her well-being. Thank you to every staff member who played a part in her journey. Your kindness, dedication, and compassion made a lasting impact on both my daughter and our family. We will always be grateful. Thanks to all Cedar Crest Staff Members ;) Sincerely Jessica & Alexia B 🩷

I was a patient here twice the most recent being 3/2021-9/2021. I was sent because I ran out of options. I didn’t want to listen to anyone and I thought I knew what was best for me. I hated the idea of having to go. At first, I thought it was the worst place ever. Then I decided to open up and really work the program. It is a very therapeutic place. Yes there’s drama and there’s some issues with staff but as long as you do what you’re supposed to do it’s a great place to get help. I would recommend wcy to anyone parent dealing with a child who has behavioral or mental health issues. It was the best thing that could’ve happened to me.

I recommend the Arbor to anybody struggling with addiction and mental health. I was hesitant to leave my young daughter at home, but I am so grateful that I did so I could get the help I need to be the mom she needs today. I didn't feel like a number here. The women's house feels like a home, the food is good, it's not a cafeteria its chefs and they are awesome. Brand new gym equipment and facilitated exercise. But aside from all of that, it's the people who put their time into the clients at the arbor that I appreciate the most. I had never been to an AA centered treatment facility, and this was life changing. I met with my counselor, Kalli once a week and had the opportunity to meet with her more if I wanted to. I met with my recovery manger, Paula once a week as well. The Psych doctor, Kasey is ON HER GAME. I was able to meet with her within the first week of arrival. I felt like my needs and concerns were met across the board. Being surrounded by nature and horses was very therapeutic. Just about everyone working there is in recovery which I also respect and appreciate. Swing by the barn and meet with the horse ladies they are amazing, even if you don't want to do equine. The techs are amazing shout out to Laura, Kevin, and Trent!

The Arbor will forever be one of the places that forever changed the course of my life. I arrived at the Arbor immediately after spending six days in detox. I was terrified, ashamed, overwhelmed, and convinced that my life had completely fallen apart. I believed I had lost my marriage, my family, my career, and everything I had worked so hard for. Walking into residential treatment was never somewhere I imagined my life would take me. The Arbor gave me much more than a place where I couldn’t drink. It gave me the space to finally understand my addiction, look honestly at myself, begin dealing with the damage my drinking had caused, and learn how to live differently. The staff didn’t simply tell me what I wanted to hear. They challenged me, supported me, encouraged me, and helped me begin doing the work that recovery required. There was also something incredibly special about the community of women there. We came from completely different backgrounds and walks of life, yet somehow we understood one another in ways that people outside of addiction sometimes can’t. There were tears and incredibly hard days, but there was also laughter, prayer, encouragement, and friendships that made those difficult days a little easier. My faith also became an important part of my healing. I can look back now and see God’s hand in so many details that I couldn’t understand while I was living through them. I walked into The Arbor feeling broken and hopeless. I did not walk out with a perfect life or every relationship instantly repaired, but I walked out with hope, tools, accountability, and a foundation for recovery. And then I went home and kept doing the work. Today, more than three years after my last drink, I am still sober. My marriage and family are healing, and relationships I once feared I had destroyed have experienced restoration that I wasn’t sure was possible. My life today is something I honestly could not have imagined when I first came to The Arbor. Treatment wasn’t easy. There were moments I wanted to leave. There were things I didn’t want to hear and things about myself I didn’t want to face. But looking back, I am grateful that treatment wasn’t simply made comfortable for me. I needed people willing to help me face the truth while also reminding me that my life was worth fighting for. I will always be grateful for The Arbor, the staff who poured into me, the women who walked beside me, and the role this place played in my recovery. It will forever be a transforming part of my story.

I went to the Arbor at my rock bottom in 2023. My life was falling apart around me and I could not pull myself out of the despair. My family reached out to the Arbor for help and I’m so grateful that they did. My time at the Arbor changed my life. My addiction had taken me so deep into despair that I didn’t even know where to begin to get my life back on track. The staff at the Arbor took their time to help me learn about myself and find out who I am. The time and care they took to teach me about addiction, boundaries, family systems and reliance on a higher power changed how I was able to approach life. They gave me the support and resources I needed to live a life in recovery and it has been beautiful. My family life, personal accountability and interpersonal relationships have completely shifted to allow for real connection for the first time in my life. This program works if you work it. I was at my lowest point 3 years ago and now I will be getting married to the love of my life this upcoming year. I owe everything to the Arbor and the people who make this place what it is.

Recovered and Free provides peer-driven residential addiction recovery for men in Hubbard, Texas. The program combines 12-step immersion, holistic healing, peer accountability and life skills work in a gender-specific, men-only environment. I have waited a month to compose a review of Recovered and Free. I wanted to see how my son reacted to sober living in the "real world" after 2 1/2 decades of chaos. I can tell you that Recovered and Free , returned to me, a healthy male adult. A man, willing to help and be a productive and resourceful member of society. He found housing at a sober living facility in Waco, and without transportation or a pocket full of money, he found work through a "temp" agency that embraced the newly sober individual. For the first time in his life he has become self supporting. He is able to navigate AA meetings, a full day's work AND his laundry. His reaction to adversity is now sane and organized, instead of "let's burn it ALL down". Recovered and Free has the goal of producing "sober gentlemen", and they DID that. My son signed on for 90 days. As he neared the end of his time there, he had a bad day and was packing to leave in anger and frustration. Given some time alone, and a little help from Colin, he made a decision to stay another month instead, and that corner was turned. That night the light came on and the difference was made. He accomplished a lot in the extra month after starting his 12 steps over AGAIN. He now knows accountability, honesty, and self worth. He knows that hard work comes with rewards. He knows the value of nutrition and a good night's sleep. He IS a sober gentleman. I cannot say enough good things about this male based facility, teaching men their value, their responsibilities to family and community. This program is EFFECTIVE. I made my first call to Recovered and Free well after midnight. Don picked up the phone, gave me an honest appraisal of what was expected from a new client and their family, and then explained their pricing. (After 2 "privileged" rehabs, I was a little gun shy). Everything was doable, and we drove my son 385 miles from jail to Hubbard. The rest remains to be seen. Thank you Colin, Don, and all the others. You did a GOOD job.

This place literally saved my life! Went downhill after my discharge from the army and lost myself, this place helped me find me again! Naomi, jahiara, Felix, and every single member of the staff are AMAZING!! I have been to rehab before, and this place is tier 1! Never have I had so much support, love and kindness from clients and staff, they gently care about recovery and give you the tools needed after you leave! Amazing food, comfortable and clean rooms, service dog friendly, activities and outings are part of the schedule, and phones and laptops are allowed as well, which helped me a lot to build a new support system and helped me find my way into college and a job! Also an amazing veterans program! Steve and Tasha (the vet group leaders) are versed both in recovery, as well as military issues, and know how to connect and understand VERY well! Dr. Raj (the owner) is a combat veteran and is also a HUGE help to both vets and clients, he’s been a true blessing! If you are struggling with ANY type of addiction, I HIGHLY recommend this center! Thank you virtue for everything!!!
