This place kind of saved my life.. kind of There were a lot of rich people politics while I was here There was a counselor in a wheel chair and kept harping on her mixed race family and kept complaining about being a victim Idk I have been sober for several years but i remember the wheel chair lady was super mean to other employees and it was like a social feat for her having that job

This place quite literally saved my life. When I first arrived, I couldn't get myself to leave my room for the first 2 days (because I was so sick) but the staff worked really hard on getting me regulated on meds. I finally came out of my room, made a group of friends that I'll hold close for the rest of my life, and THE STAFF.... some of the most amazing people I think I'll ever meet. I went from refusing to talk to anyone, to a social butterfly in 29 days. I hope they know the difference they made in my life. I am myself again and it's all because of them. I seriously love each and everyone of them.

Ten years strong, Thank you to The Recovery Center and the team of highly trained and skilled individuals who help give me the tools and skills needed to thrive and succeed in life, living with addiction. As of date, I have obtained my Bachelor's in Psychology, working on a master's in clinical counseling. There is success after addiction, the passion to WIN is greater than my addiction. Thank you again, Recovery Center, the knowledge gained and skills acquired have not been forgotten and are well practiced daily.

I love the amazing staff at Helen Farabee. They are there because they care and want to make a positive change. Each and every one of them is wonderful in their own unique way. They all bring so much to the table! I had the great pleasure of having Dr.Crane as my Psychiatrist. Dr. Crane is an excellent doctor and he really took the time and care to find the best solution for me as an individual and something that would fit best for my life while taking my physical health into account as well. He is very personable and kind and professional. Helen Farabee is definitely so blessed to have him as well as the rest of everyone who works there. This place is spectacular! I Love You All! ❤️

I went to Rose Street because I was being told by an abusive toxic partner at the time that I'm crazy and so I said that let me go get tested turns out I've suffered. Now Wichita County Sheriff's Department mishandled an emergency situation that led to a inferior infarction and they're trying to cover it up by lying to the emergency room at United Regional doctors that I have other mental illnesses. In like Sheldon Cooper I've been tested and I have receipts.

Called to confirm appointment. Was told 3pm. Showed up at 2:50, checked in, and waited for 25 minutes. Then they called me to the front, and told me it was for 2pm, and the nurse had already left. I waited almost 3 months for this appointment and took off work. They said they called twice and left a message and confirmed my number to us. When I got home, I looked through all messages, including deleted ones, and they never called. Update: bumped one star because they called and put an alert out for next availability Update: since that day they have been really great with me. Perhaps they just had a bad day. Bumped 1 star.

I had a young lady I was working with, I am a Recovery Coach in Abilene, Tx. She raved about the program and did great. She actually moved up North to a new facility y'all were opening, and sent me pictures of her and the landscape, absolutely beautiful. But she started off in the Wichita Falls, Tx area.

I've been going to the Altus BA Clinic for a few years now. The staff are very attentive people and the Medical Doctor is polite and professional. I am pleased to have only a short drive from my residence to access health care at the Clinic...!!

The whole crew ( Betty, Tammy, Crystal and Dr. Perez) is very respectful and understanding even when some of us can be a little moody as we go in there. I can assure you that they will do everything in their power that the VA says they can do for you and if they don't, then you probably messed up somewhere. Pro Tip respect and a smile will get far here.

Though their weakest link is a lock of communication between counselors, each counselor has something to bring to the table and with individual counseling with one that speaks to you, this is a great program. They help those that are lost with readmission when progress has been observed. With a few over sights in policy that I had to endure and point out, this group truly lays it out on the line for those entering their program, regardless of its 12 step based lean. I would recommend this to anyone looking to recover from any substance abuse. I suffering from bipolar and addiction, have found no reason to stop attending, although I have relapsed and have never felt I was without support from the staff or my counselees. Truly a place that brings us together, to fight the storm together, to grow together and to, together, raise ourselves up to fight a common disease.

@GDM Doesn't God do that everywhere? I understand you and many others had, do and will have life changing spiritual experiences. Kudos. But my point is it's not the place, building or location, no offense, but not even so the staff. I sat that because the staff can only point the way and the process which is the same for all Christians. The order doesn't matter as much as like you said a truly sincere request and the effort without reservation....I know God absolutely can and does heal people from addiction in the blink of an eye a true miracle for some very few some, pray one time and poof instant transformation....but that is a slippery slope that in my experience most will fall right back into a sinful life. Because they haven't done the actions of truly first admitting their sins to those they have sinned against and second atone for the sins .....Too many people just skip right over this and it's crucial a must do to the best of our ability make right as best we our wrongs, pay back, fix, replace...whatever words you want to use, but a physical action with tangible evidence. As best we can to the best of our ability no matter what the other person or business says ...it took me years to learn this lesson....I'd be beat down and come back like the prodigal son.... completely avoid those I knew either wouldn't forgive me or the price of the debt was more than I was willing pay BACK. Emphasis on back because I had stolen, broken or taking or inquired damage to the other already I set the price of correcting my sins not them, understand? So there's that. Then one must "pick up their cross" and "daily" increase and strengthen faith and obedience to God by following Christ very clear and direct teachings....all right there in The Lord's Prayer. Problem is lots of people just want to pray the prayer, loudly and proudly shout they're belief in Jesus and use "no works will get ya into heaven".....and how dare anyone who doesn't forgive me like Jesus did and y'all are going to hell....I personally have only met one person at 55 years old numerous treatment centers of all types, that that persons one prayer brought a miraculous transformation and they were completely healed never to use drugs or commit seriously bad sins again....every other person I've met and that's in the hundreds for sure has been healed, recovered or transformed until they put the effort into the actions and sincerely beyond the shadow of a doubt admit to themselves and God that their self will and strength without Christ will only lead to sin every time all the time. I know we say to ourselves why does that person seem to get away with everything and have more things and money and easier life than us....well because they are going to pay the ultimate price with their soul in the end of them....these days even publicly stating they made that deal with the devil....so we must sincerely admit to ourselves our sins because only us and God truly know but there must be that third party and speaking your sins out loud....just praying in your head without that witness or the action of atonement your not clean enough to receive the Holy Spirit....and yes I get it's our nature to sin and we will never be as innocent as The Lamb of God.....however if you want to put your soul on the line and put all your chips betting well since no works get ya a ticket.....and you definitely believe in Jesus and release yourself from any responsibility or accountability well I hope your correct....but I guess we'll see....you very well may be....but how's your life been working out in the meantime? If your living in the Kingdom of Heaven here now on earth like Jesus says it is? Or is your life still a train wreck and you still keep trying to get to God your way? Picking and choosing what Bible verses you, if you were God, would apply to you....The devil made me do it and I believe in Jesus and my sins are covered and no works will get me in.....mmmhhhmmm that never worked for me or anyone save that one man I've ever met....what I have experienced myself and see daily all around

I went thru this several years ago in drug court. I never believed in counselors before. Until I met Sheryll. She was my counselor and I will never forget her. She changed my life by teaching me who " I " was! By far, the best. If you get a chance, stop by and sometime and chat with her. You'll understand why I think she's so great !!
