Weatherford, TX | Freedom House, located in Weatherford, Texas is a private alcohol and drug rehab that offers treatment for a variety of substance abuse addictions including co-occurring mental health disorders. They offer flexible outpatient addiction therapy allowing patients to live at home while receiving regular treatment. Additional levels of care offered inc | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My testimony of what Freedom House has done in my life is something I will carry with me forever.
When I walked through their doors, I was broken in ways I didn’t even have words for. I was grieving, physically weak, emotionally drained, and spiritually empty. One of the darkest moments of my life was when I miscarried and ended up in the hospital. It was a time when I felt alone, confused, and shattered. But I was not alone. Freedom House was there. They showed up. They sat with me in the hospital. They prayed for me. They made sure I had what I needed. In a moment when I felt like everything had been taken from me, their presence reminded me that I had not been forgotten.
When I was sick and couldn’t care for myself, they cared for me. When I didn’t have strength, they stood in the gap. Everything I asked for—whether it was something physical, emotional, or spiritual—they did their best to provide. They made sure I had food. They made sure I had support. They made sure I felt seen. They didn’t just say they cared; they proved it through action.
During the hardest season of my life, when I questioned my worth and struggled to see a future, they believed in me. They encouraged me when I couldn’t encourage myself. They reminded me that my story wasn’t over. They helped me rebuild step by step. Because of their guidance and support, I was able to get a job and begin standing on my own again. That wasn’t just employment—it was dignity. It was hope. It was proof that I could move forward.
Freedom House didn’t just help me survive; they helped restore me. They gave me stability when my world felt unstable. They gave me compassion when I felt ashamed. They gave me love when I felt unlovable. Through them, I experienced what true community looks like—people who show up consistently, who don’t judge your past, and who fight for your future.
Because of Freedom House, I now know that good people are real. Genuine love is real. Selfless service is real. They were the hands and feet of God in my life during a time when I desperately needed saving—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually.
Today, I am stronger. I am healing. I have hope again. And a huge part of that is because Freedom House chose to walk with me through my darkest valley instead of leaving me there.
I will forever be grateful for the restoration, the compassion, and the unwavering support they gave me when I needed it most.

HOPE gives you the tools to understand your addiction. It works if you work it, and it won’t if you don’t. Many years ago it worked for me. If you see a bad review on here, what you’re really seeing is a bitter addict unwilling to be honest with themselves and do the work.

Mansfield, TX | Riverwalk Ranch is located in Mansfield, Texas on a secluded 27-acre property. They offer luxury rehab for substance use and co-occurring disorders. They take many types of private insurance, though they don’t accept government-funded programs such as Medicare or Medicaid. They offer medical detox, residential inpatient, partial hospitalization, | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This place is in high demand for a reason! Try not to be discouraged by the lack of space - there are plenty of good rehabs in the area, but this one tends to stay full most of the time.
My case manager, Courtney, has been very helpful in managing my issues in and outside of Riverwalk ranch.
I like many of the therapists - I’d say that Richard, Johnny, and Erica (in no particular order) have been most helpful in my recovery.
I stayed for 45 days, but 60 and 90 day stays are also available depending on your insurance. 45 days is generally the minimum program length.
I only stayed in the detox room for two days, but many people stay for a week or more. The detox room is rather annoying. I can’t speak on the women’s end, but the men’s detox room is right by the main outside door and is often loud. The rooms are rather densely packed so that can get old, but I adjusted to it rather quickly.
I’ll give a shoutout to the recovery coaches Bo, Samantha, Sierra, and Taylor. If you come here please treat them well because they deal with a lot!
Overall I give this place a 9/10. There could be some stronger structure at times, but I do like the sense of independence you can maintain here relative to other rehabs I’ve been to (just two). Worth it

They integrate Big Book/12 Step immersion with the Bible better than any place I have ever seen, and I’ve seen many programs out there. I went in with my life in shambles and came out living a life that I didn’t think possible. Before going to Stonegate Center I was useless to the people around me, with nothing to give of any value or good use. I got through all 12 steps while there and re-established a connection to God that I haven’t had in many years. I was given the tools that are necessary to maintain long term sobriety. I now have a purpose and can be of real help to other people and I am so thankful for that. The staff there is amazing and tough on you at times, but they really do care and truly want to see you get well and help others. When I first got to the facility on Sunday afternoon January 4th 2026.I didn’t know what to expect . I was shocked when they took all my belongings away from me.Two former clients checked me into the facility. They were pretty scary looking. I got most of my belongings back the next day and was moved from detox to residential area. My mentor did not tell me anything about the place. I didn’t even meet him until the end of the week so I had no idea of doing homework until that Friday. I started out feeling like I was behind all the others in my class. But I didn’t panic. I went on studying at my own pace and finished the 12 step study 2 days before I walked over the bridge. That was so cool, my son came to pick me up. He surprised me when he walked over the bridge to join me for the commencement ceremony. have not had a drink nor the desire to drink since!

Fort Worth, TX | Clearfork Academy is a residential addiction treatment center for boys aged 13 to 17. Located in the Fort Worth, Texas area, they provide residential detox and dual diagnosis treatment. You can expect an environment ideal for growth, healing, and recovery. The residential treatment center for teen boys is faith based and located on a spacious ranch | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Clearfork Academy was truly a positive experience for our family and especially for my son. From the beginning, the staff treated him with respect, compassion, and accountability while also giving him the structure and support he needed.
What impressed me most was the growth we saw during his time there. He took the program seriously, worked hard, and ultimately completed the program successfully. The staff recognized his progress and strengths while still challenging him to take responsibility, communicate better, and continue working toward his goals.
I also really appreciated the family involvement. The family sessions gave us an opportunity to have conversations that weren't always easy, but were necessary. We weren't just focused on what he needed to work on. We were also learning how to communicate better and support him as a family once he came home.
Leaving Clearfork didn't feel like simply finishing a treatment program. It felt like he was leaving with accomplishments he could genuinely be proud of and a stronger foundation for what comes next. Several members of the team even offered to provide character letters for him, which meant a great deal to us because it showed that they truly got to know him as a person and recognized how hard he worked.
I am very grateful to the counselors, staff, and everyone at Clearfork who played a part in his time there. Treatment is never something a family hopes their child will need, but if you find yourself in that position, having people who genuinely care about your child's growth makes all the difference. I would absolutely recommend Clearfork Academy to another family looking for that kind of support.

In the 33 days I spent there I was given time to medically detox, fed delicious and nutritious food, taught the nature of my addiction in scientific terms, given one on one therapy, given the option to attend wellness activities such as yoga and was provided time with a personal trainer to work on regaining my strength. We enjoyed the on facility pool, team building exercises with the other residents and even had movie time once a week. I also was able to take advantage of a virtual reality session that prepared me for being exposed to my DOC in a safe environment and allowed me a one on one session with an expert trained in exposure therapy. This allowed me to see how physiologically my body will respond to triggers and therefore gave me much better ability to prepare for returning to my life outside of the center.
The residental staff is caring, compassionate and friendly. The therapists were knowledgeable, present and available when I needed them. The 12 step team taught a comprehensive program that broke down the literature in a way that was easy to grasp. The kitchen staff provided fantastic meals. The rooms were kept clean daily and provided me with my own private balcony-a beautiful place to begin and end my days, reflecting on the many thoughts that addicts ponder during treatment.
I look forward to continuing my treatment there with the PHP program and intend to complete my IOP at this location as well. I was given such great care that I wanted to ensure continuity of treatment throughout all the steps of my treatment program.
Highly recommend to anyone who's ready to change their life.

Stephenville, TX | Summer Sky is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Stephenville, Texas. They’re a private company that treats adults and adolescents for substance and alcohol use disorder. They provide evidence based therapy as well as spiritual treatment. They accept credit card payments. All clients have a full evaluation upon entering Summer Sky. Yo | Treatments Programs Payment Options | In 2011 I went through treatment twice in one summer. The 1st time I completed it but wasn't committed and was back the next month. However, after 12 years, I recently had a 2 yr relapse and decided I needed help. I knew the place to go. The only problem is I called and called and called and any number I could find apparently was not Summer Sky or it appeared it no longer existed (even through Facebook). This was so disappointing. I chose a different place closer to home and left early during the detox phase because I needed the structure that Summer Sky provided at that time. Not sure what is going on but if there is a next time for me, I sure hope there is a better way to contact them.

North Richland Hills, TX | My Health My Resources (MHMR) is a CARF accredited mental and behavioral health network. They have several locations, including the Tarrant Mid Cities Clinic in North Richland Hills, Texas. Here, they specialize in treating children, adolescents, adults, veterans, and families who are struggling with mental health conditions and chemical dependency | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Every one here is SO NICE! I was looking forward to finally meeting a doctor who could help me. Well, when I met Dr. Dinghra through an iPad and only saw her eyes and nothing more, it felt extremely impersonal. I gave the doctor the benefit of the doubt. As we proceeded to talk she began interrupting me and even worse he started subtly insulting. Complete lack of empathy throughout. She only had his eyes in the frame I had no idea who I was even talking to. I could barely understand her but I definitely understood the insults. She should be fired IMMEDIATELY.
Update: The director switched me doctors to Reddy and she was by far way better than Dangra. She is very nice and listened to me.

If it weren’t for MHMR, I wouldn’t be alive today. They have saved my life! Maybe my situation is just different?! I called 988 in July 2024, and they sent 2 regular people to just talk to me. They did not judge or tell me what to do, they listened and were able to get me out of the living environment that was making my grief from my sweet baby brother’s suicide so much worse. I’ve been homeless and was DONE soI took half a bottle of blood pressure pills. Crazy thing because I didn’t even get a good night sleep. So then I was assigned a case worker who was a regular person going to college to get his degree in counseling, who would come and pick me up, take me to my appointments and take me to the pharmacy. It was amazing and it’s because for once I was SHOWN my life was worth living, clearly something my own family would never do. I’ve been at this clinic almost a year and now my social security will finally go through in a few months. They even helped me do my application and soon I will have my own income and will never need help from any family ever again, and THAT feels great. I’m healing a little and none of this could have happened without MHMR. I’m just so grateful & this place does great work if you’re very direct and honest about what you need.

This clinic and program has saved my life; yes there can be some fear and apprehension about Methadone; but when compared to the alternative drugging life style; Methadone by all means returns you to a normal working citizen back in society, no more of days on end of chasing drugs and wondering where to get your next fix or how to pay for that fix; those days come to an end and stop the day you decide you've had enough of the drug seeking lifestyle that we we're all living. I've been with this clinic ever since Medmark took over ownership in May of 2011. I've seen my share of clinic directors come and go at Medmark, there's been some awesome directors in my time, but my one ⭐️ Review for the end of this review is for the unprofessional unethical clinic director we now have who's name is Sharron; Mrs. Sharron is by far the worst clinical treatment director Medmark has had in my 15 years at this clinic. The directors ways of treating both staff and clients is so poorly that i wouldn't treat a dog that way. Don't get me wrong; Medmark is a great clinic; it's just corporate Medmark needs to seriously hire a new treatment director who will work together building the employees up as well as the clients. When a treatment center has a director who spends her day; ( that is when she is there ) in a closed office and does not get to know the patients who provide Mrs. Sharron a paycheck and works overtime to breakdown her staff and employees and bring division between staff clients and herself; THEN IT'S HELL TIME FOR MEDMARK TO GET A NEW DIRECTOR. since this director has been here; Medmark Fort Worth has gone down hill !!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Mrs. Sharron has caused more amazing counselors to leave Medmark for other treatment places, she has also caused so many clients to leave and find other treatment programs !! 🤬🤬🤬. My pray and hope is that the Medmark powers to be will see this and investigate and terminate Mrs. Sharron from her director position AS SOON AS POSSIBLE !!

Whoa things been changing lately for the better it looks like!! Such good energy in there now, good friendly vibes. Doesn’t feel like a line assembly or that they don’t care. They’re even offering group counseling now which I think is really great!! I can tell since they got that new director lady with the cool dreads I think her name Sharin. Sadd to hear bout Miss Jacqui but she is in a better place. They got another girl to replace Miss Jacqui rest in peace Miss Jacqui. But so far this new supervisor seem really attentive and as though she really listenin. I hear a couple more counselors leavin but honestly they gotta get on. It’s already gotten better n I think it will keep on. Just takes time sometime. So far I’m impressed 5 stars big improvement

Fort Worth, TX | Fort Behavioral Health offers numerous alcohol and drug rehab services, but its Fort Worth, Texas, location specifically provides residential treatment alongside detox services and outpatient treatment. So, if you’re looking for an addiction recovery program that offers you a structured environment where you can focus on accountability, healing, | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Fort Behavioral Health was an important part of my recovery journey. I went there a few different times, and every stay I experienced caring staff who truly wanted to help people get better. The program has a strong 12 step focus, which helped me build accountability, connection, and a better foundation for recovery.
The nurses and therapists were wonderful and treated me with compassion and respect. One of the most helpful parts of my experience was the EMDR therapy, which helped me work through trauma in a way that was life changing for me.
The food was also surprisingly good, which made being there more comfortable during a difficult time. Overall, Fort Behavioral Health provided a supportive environment with people who genuinely care about their clients and recovery.

Good addiction programs for adults. Christine, Dee, Gina, and Kim are great therapists that actually care about the clients. The medical staff are nice. No facility is perfect, but this place is good and I personally recommend it.
