I am 37 years old. I became incredibly aware of my mental health issues 16 years ago. Since then, I have been in therapy and psychiatry and hospitalized in eight different mental health facilities - fifteen different times.
I just want to address the negative reviews….
First of all, some of the negative reviews I read, I agreed with. Thus, I am not bias.
Second of all, for those who are complaining about this place being terrible for the following reasons…
If there is a written agreement between the hospital and yourself where certain conditions are implemented for you to receive their help with stuff by them, don’t blame them for no longer upholding their part of it if
you violated your part or dropped out of their program voluntarily.
If you have a medical emergency and you choose to “stay home” instead of going straight to their facility, of course you’re going to be discharged from their program!
It’s the same with rehabs/clinics/PT/etc. Especially if you’re going to refuse to work the program.
Yes, I can agree that a few,
not all - were treated in a scammy way because they have such good health insurance. For the rest though, no, they’re not being scammed. When a person first walks in to any mental health facility,
theyre evaluated. They do this for:
1. To see if they have the capabilities to treat someone. If so, they will determine if they need outpatient or inpatient care
2. If the person should be voluntary or involuntary as inpatient
3. If the person goes AMA - after being told
they need to be admitted and walks out then decides a few hours later that they want to go there, yes, they will have to be re-evaluated for the above reasons.
4. Regardless of going in voluntarily, you have to sign the AMA papers to be discharged. Within 24 hours, the doctors have to make a decision - either agree to it and sign off on it or if they feel your still a danger to yourself or others, then, you will be “involuntary”.
5. Since ObamaCare went into full effect, a
nationwide bill was passed that if you do not have any health insurance, it doesn’t matter if you’re admitted involuntarily or voluntarily - you still have to pay out of pocket. Most times though, if it’s involuntary, the facility is already contracted with the state to have everything paid. If not, they will negotiate a contract with the state to pay for everything during your stay. Unless, you’re taken to the ER first. The ER will bill you. That’s also part
of the nationwide bill they passed.
Usually anyone who walks into a mental health facility on their own accord, will most likely be declared as not a danger to themselves or others. Unless, told
otherwise. If it’s a real mental health crisis, 911 should be and are
usually the first point of contact.
Hospitals, especially behavioral hospitals are not hotels. They’re not supposed to
be even close to a mental health vacay or
whatever. You can’t just do what you want,
come and go as you please, and expect your every want/need to be granted. Stop thinking that.

I will never forget what this man, Cris, the owner, did for my son and for our family. When my son was at his lowest point and I didn’t know where to turn, he showed up for us in a way I’ll always be grateful for. He didn’t just give me advice or hand me a phone number—he actually came to our house late at night, talked to my son with such patience and understanding, and then drove him straight to a rehab center himself.
In that moment, I felt like someone finally cared as much as I did. He treated my son with dignity and kindness when so many others had just judged or given up on him. That kind of compassion is rare, and it gave us a sense of hope we hadn’t felt in a long time.
My son is still in rehab right now, but we look forward to him working with ASIC when he comes back. Knowing that there will be continued support waiting for him after treatment gives us peace of mind and encouragement for the future.
This isn’t just a program—it’s people who truly care, who show up when it matters most, and who give families hope when everything feels hopeless. I will forever be thankful for what he did for us, and I would recommend this program to anyone who needs help. They don’t just change lives—they save them.

I recently had the privilege of having my 16-year-old daughter, meet with therapist Dakota Torres at Lena Pope at their Weatherford location for the first time, and I am truly impressed by the positive impact Dakota had on my daughter during their initial session.
From the moment we arrived, Dakota exhibited professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for my daughter's well-being. Despite my daughter's initial reluctance and resistance to the appointment, Dakota was able to establish a strong rapport with her almost instantly.
Dakota's ability to connect with my daughter and create a safe and supportive environment allowed her to open up and share her thoughts and feelings in a way that she hadn't been able to with previous therapists. Even before the appointment, my daughter expressed her reluctance to engage with anyone and her resistance to being there. However, after meeting with Dakota, my daughter shared that she really liked her, which speaks volumes about Dakota's approachability and effectiveness as a therapist.
Having previously sought therapy for my daughter with six different therapists, I can confidently say that Dakota's session was the first time I felt genuinely positive about the future of my daughter's therapy journey. Dakota's empathetic approach, coupled with her ability to quickly establish trust and rapport, fills me with hope and optimism for her progress in her sessions with Dakota.
I am immensely grateful to Dakota for her exceptional therapeutic support and dedication to helping my daughter navigate her challenges. I highly recommend Dakota Torres and Lena Pope to anyone seeking compassionate and effective therapy for themselves or their loved ones.
Thank you, Dakota, for making a meaningful difference in my daughter's life.

Azle, Texas | Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas Fort Worth Men’s Rehab Center was established in 2008 and is located on a 7.5-acre campus just outside Fort Worth, Texas, (in Azle). Most of the staff leadership are themselves graduates of the program. Men receive room and board, group and individual biblical counseling, parenting classes, spiritual support, | Treatments Programs | @GDM Doesn't God do that everywhere? I understand you and many others had, do and will have life changing spiritual experiences. Kudos. But my point is it's not the place, building or location, no offense, but not even so the staff. I sat that because the staff can only point the way and the process which is the same for all Christians. The order doesn't matter as much as like you said a truly sincere request and the effort without reservation....I know God absolutely can and does heal people from addiction in the blink of an eye a true miracle for some very few some, pray one time and poof instant transformation....but that is a slippery slope that in my experience most will fall right back into a sinful life. Because they haven't done the actions of truly first admitting their sins to those they have sinned against and second atone for the sins .....Too many people just skip right over this and it's crucial a must do to the best of our ability make right as best we our wrongs, pay back, fix, replace...whatever words you want to use, but a physical action with tangible evidence. As best we can to the best of our ability no matter what the other person or business says ...it took me years to learn this lesson....I'd be beat down and come back like the prodigal son.... completely avoid those I knew either wouldn't forgive me or the price of the debt was more than I was willing pay BACK. Emphasis on back because I had stolen, broken or taking or inquired damage to the other already I set the price of correcting my sins not them, understand? So there's that. Then one must "pick up their cross" and "daily" increase and strengthen faith and obedience to God by following Christ very clear and direct teachings....all right there in The Lord's Prayer. Problem is lots of people just want to pray the prayer, loudly and proudly shout they're belief in Jesus and use "no works will get ya into heaven".....and how dare anyone who doesn't forgive me like Jesus did and y'all are going to hell....I personally have only met one person at 55 years old numerous treatment centers of all types, that that persons one prayer brought a miraculous transformation and they were completely healed never to use drugs or commit seriously bad sins again....every other person I've met and that's in the hundreds for sure has been healed, recovered or transformed until they put the effort into the actions and sincerely beyond the shadow of a doubt admit to themselves and God that their self will and strength without Christ will only lead to sin every time all the time. I know we say to ourselves why does that person seem to get away with everything and have more things and money and easier life than us....well because they are going to pay the ultimate price with their soul in the end of them....these days even publicly stating they made that deal with the devil....so we must sincerely admit to ourselves our sins because only us and God truly know but there must be that third party and speaking your sins out loud....just praying in your head without that witness or the action of atonement your not clean enough to receive the Holy Spirit....and yes I get it's our nature to sin and we will never be as innocent as The Lamb of God.....however if you want to put your soul on the line and put all your chips betting well since no works get ya a ticket.....and you definitely believe in Jesus and release yourself from any responsibility or accountability well I hope your correct....but I guess we'll see....you very well may be....but how's your life been working out in the meantime? If your living in the Kingdom of Heaven here now on earth like Jesus says it is? Or is your life still a train wreck and you still keep trying to get to God your way? Picking and choosing what Bible verses you, if you were God, would apply to you....The devil made me do it and I believe in Jesus and my sins are covered and no works will get me in.....mmmhhhmmm that never worked for me or anyone save that one man I've ever met....what I have experienced myself and see daily all around
