There is a new doctor at the VA Medical Clinic in Brownwood, and he is amazing! He asked questions and actually listened to my answers. When I asked questions, he answered. He spent time explaining things. I sure hope this is a turning point to upgrade this clinic that has gotten so many bad reviews due to the disrespectful and uncaring attitudes of some of the front line personnel. I actually felt like I was heard and respected. Very good doctor's appointment this year! I am impressed and grateful.

I just did the 33 day program here and the staff was phenomenal! The therapists and case managers were on top of everything and made my recovery process so much easier. They were there for me from beginning to end. The nursing staff was on top of my meds and I never had any issues. Thank you Virtue for helping me grow and become the woman I am today. I couldn’t have done it without you! I have learned so much about myself and the disease I have to live with. You’ve given me the tools I need to help keep the disease at bay. Although it was hard for me to be away from my family, I would do it again because I am stronger now. The facility was nice and the food was amazing! Anything that I couldn’t eat because of diet, they always had something I could eat and made it for me! I came into nexus with the hope that I could continue my road to recovery (I had detoxed a prior place near my home for 3 weeks). On my very 1st day the woman in the program (a group of them) began calling me names threatening to jump me. This continued to the next day and additional threats on how they were going to steal my belongings. When I reported to staff on the second day nothing was done even then. Mind you I was there less than 24hrs I asked for the director she (Misty) came and moved me dorms. Next morning I realized several items were stolen cigarettes, clothing, my make up was deliberately broken. Nothing still done about these woman bullying me. Staff members are untrained (I.E. med staff they have Medical Ass. giving out meds which is unethical and against nursing practices. They refused my psych meds twice and then doubled dosed me on my 3rd day causing a psychosis episode. I was walking around ominously not even knowing what was happening. I was sexually assaulted by a patient several times nothing was done. I brought it to director Stacy attention Ms. Milly attention and several RH house supervisors even writing up a grievances and the recourse was to kick me out of the program!!! This place is state funded they use It as a dictatorship program. Kieran the head director is racist, condescending, cruel, belittling patients that bring up concerns. She is quite dismissive and feels superior. She forces patients to clean entire facility in reward for phone calls to your family. While there and being bullied I cut myself in the parking lot in front of staff members Heather, Jasmin and 2 others. I had to do a suicide contract yet they still kicked me out hours later!!! I have copies of all of this. Im contacting the board of nursing as well as reporting to other agencies and getting an attorney. The mere fact of suicide attempt and serial harassment alone probably will have this place shut down. Do Not Go here if you require a state scholarship or have medicaid Medicare because you will be subject to this abuse.

I was a patient here for a week earlier this year, and my stay was wonderful. The nurses were attentive, and understanding, and Dr. Bankes listened to me without judgement. She really helped me to get on a better path in my life and to get my meds all straightened out! The social workers are amazing and helped connect me to resources and free counseling once I left! The food was great, and there's plenty of snacks! I 100% recommend this clinic for all of your mental health needs! The only thing I have to complain about is that the telehealth doctor on the weekends was rude towards me and seemed to brush off my needs. He put me on a medication that I had a bad reaction to and he didn't seemed concerned when I told him and asked to be taken off of it. Everything else is great though!

Awesome recovery center....the food is 5star, shout out to chef, the appartments are beautiful, clean and comfortable beds cold ac. The counselors are well trained and very professional. The staff is bad ass and will help you with issues if needed and 99% of the people that work here are in recovery so they know exactly what your going through. You will leave the facility to go on client outings on weekends, the gym 3 times a week and off-site na and aa meetings 3 times a week. It's a great place to go if u want to get sober!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Christian farms. I was there for 35 days. I’m now almost 5 months sober and counting. They are a little strict but I do see why. Their policies are in place for a reason and it worked! Very grateful. I do think the clients should be able to sit in the sun. It releases endorphins naturally and was a form of mediation for me and they took that from us. The dcs are great. And Ms. Linda… thank you for helping me get in there. Highly recommend.

I was a client back in 2015 at Christian Farms. My experience there was life changing and life transforming. I've used methaphine hardcore for 18 years. I've found the staff to be friendly but firm. The consular I had the feeling that they geniually cared, and it was more then just a job to them they really wanted to help. The environment there was clean, friendly, firm, not strict, & extremely fair. I found Christian farms to be so pleasent and informative to me that I requested to stay an additional 30 days from my original release date. If you really want help & are serious about getting help with your addiction I highly recommend Christian Farms. Today I can say I've been clean for over a year & a half due to largely impart of Christian Farms.

Awesome program! Stephen,Carly and staff was awesome ! James head Chef is amazing food was immaculate I had to slap myself because I thought it was a 5 star restaurant..Logan was very helpful and informative in my recovery. The therapists in this office REALLY care about their patients! They also have hardly no wait for testing where other therapy offices in the area have waitlists that are 2-3 months out! The prices are also much more reasonable! The receptionist is really nice too!
